god, the castoria/merlin/morgan combo is so fucking OP, i was doing the final singularity memorial quest, won on turn 18 and all 3 of them were still at full health because it's that fucking busted
I finally finished posting the kiss prompts on ao3!
All 32!!!! (I still can't believe I wrote so many) drabbles & ficlets of the collection are uploaded and I would like to take the opportunity to thank every single person who's read, left kudos & comments (or likes and sweet tags on here), sent in prompts or helped me along the way. I love you guys!!! ❤️
I had THE BEST TIME writing these and I feel like it helped me become a teeny tiny little bit better at writing.
Keep an eye out for the smut prompts, they're up next.
I am still writing the One Hundred Ways to Say 'I Love You' prompts, its just taking me awhile!
it was one prof who's been coming here since the late 80s - but hasn't recently and thought her dig site was 'done' until a few years ago... but with covid and all this is the first chance she's had to complete the dig. there are at least 3 books she's authored/co-authored about the site. I will be getting in contact with the Band office where they are currently on sale to see if they would be insulted by us selling them too - we are very close by and I don't want to undercut their income at all.
and her 4 students - i am unsure if they are undergrad or graduate students.
when she stopped by i found out about a lot of our fist nations and lithographic objects - and lamented to her about how horribly our first nations artifacts are displayed. i have already used some of that new information with guests. she also offered to email me the names of specific objects or object types so that i can update the interpretation. i am excited to get into that.
i might have breached containment by talking about the kazoo meme... but in my defence, i think it's already breached containment. She also had a trowel necklace on from her daughter which I adore.
one of her students was a zoarchaeologist and she was able to identify a few teeth we had floating about the place. my coworker had speculated one was bear, as that is what she had been told. it was actually horse.
one of the students is material culture from the modern age - civil war onward i think with a focus on military tools but don't quote me- she identified 2 british bayonets from the civil war to wwi. they are very close to our wwi trench armour, so we theorize that they are part of that collection. she also squealed happily about our 'teeny tiny mining lamps'. she was a delight that's for sure.
the other two snuck out before i was able to corner them to ask about their specialties and steer them towards objects they might find interesting... but i have been invited to the dig on wednesday so i'll make a point of getting to know them then.
I can't believe how much I learned about our collection over just a few hours! The end result was a very tired Farmer sleeping for 11 hours, but so worth it! I can now disseminate that information to a wide audience - including 3 women who were convinced that Holland had a richer history, until I told them about the native objects I learned about yesterday.
I just want to add a BIG thank you to everyone who's pledged already, old and new! I truly appreciate that you want to support Netherrealms and make it happen. Couldn't do it without you.
The rumours are true. Well, the good ones are, anyway. Netflix is delighted and thrilled that so many of you, all over the world, have been watching and loving Sandman, which means that the thing we were all hoping would happen...? Well, it's happened...
I'm so excited to share this piece I did inspired by @shastafirecracker 's fic: Wildflowers (PLEASE please go give it a read it's SUCH a treat)
~Artist ramblings under the cut~
Wildflowers grabbed me by the neck and wouldn't let go and I really really needed to illustrate something for it inspired by Ivan Bilibin's work. This piece was a bit of a behemoth, but once I got the poses for Vash and Wolfwood nailed down I just went hog wild with trying to add in as many little references to the narrative of the fic as I could. At the end of the day I'm proud of how it turned out but most of all I'm really happy Shasta likes it.
(Here's just the lineart too, just because I like it a lot on its own!)
