My top criticisms about Gravity Falls(this is not a hate message, I consider GF as a masterpiece although a flawed one and later I'm going to post about My top things I love about GF so please be civil)

1-Wendy Corduroy's complete lack of development:as much as I like wendy it is no denying she is underulitized,seriously they made us care for a supporting character,a mean girl cliche' in ONE episode,made her more than a blonde stereotype and made us actually care about her but couldn't done that to our badass red head who is one of the main cast with TONS of potential to grow like family issues,teenage rebellion,gluttony in work and having a bad taste in boys... to be more than a princess unattainable who makes teens around her to drool?!,Beside once you make it clear that she isn't going to end up with Dipper, that's pretty much it for the character. Too much of her characterization is built around being Dipper's idealized LI, and she not really relevant to the main plotline,Being super cool and talented isn't very interesting on its own(ask rey from sequel trilogy or ultrasmufs from WH40k, even alex said she was "too perfect" thus why there are so many unaired episodes centre around her which makes me sad for never airing)

2-Everything about Love God and Roadside Attraction:in Love God mabel didn't face her consequences,didn't learn any and worse Robbie got rewared for his ill-manner and insecurities and never even acknowldge his wrong doing toward Wendy and Dipper(hence why I love reading fanfics about robbie having his come uppence).

As for roadside attraction?giving Dipper The Last Jedi treatment of Luke Skywalker and making hypocrites out of Mabel and the girls since they LITERALLY condemned Dipper for the same thing they do on a DAILY BASIC ,beside they were the ones who pushed the whole "candip" thing.

3-using Ford as a scapegoat:I know he is faulty but lets not forget Stan also share the blame,sure he didn't mean to destroy Ford's project but he didn't told him in order to fix it either because he secretly hope that his accident would make Ford stay,he was petty in weirdmaggedon and while Ford is arrogant with messiah complex, Stan is implusive with victim complex and at least Ford TRIES to take responsibilty while Stan only did take responsibility when he tries to keep Mabel and Dipper out of this by FAVORITISM and HUMILIATION the fact that he do so after his father the water downed-american-ozai wannable only makes it worse(lets be honest if Dipper was gay,bi or trans everyone in media would scream for blood after seeing Dipper vs Manliness).

Besides,how would you feel if one of your relatives steal your identity,ruin your name and make a mockery out of your life's work??sure he was trying to have enough money to return you but what part of "stealing your name and mock your job" was necessary!?even a simple merch shop makes as much money as a tourist trap

4-Double Standard toward Dipper:I get that his character arc pretty much amounts to: "Stop being a pretentious twit, stop trying to act older than you are, enjoy being a kid while you can." The problem is that the show eventually starts beating on Dipper for wanting ANYTHING at all, and that he must always put Mabel first, even if she's in the wrong. The show seems to say that Dipper should take Mabel's approach to life, and although that might make him happier, he's just not Mabel. Instead of learning to pursue his goals in a less reckless way, he is dis-alluded from having goals period, and that can get frustrating to watch,I don't have a sibiling but I do know that pleasing one in sacrifice of your dreams and everything that makes you you is NOT how healthy relationships works in fact it is toxic

5-Handling ships:take the owl house،the dragon prince,adventure time and kipo age of the wonderbeast for example and compare it to gravity falls.

Unlike GF they didn't reduce love interests as stereotypical,they didn't made a bigger deal about crushes than it needs to be,didn't fell for tropes and take time,for instance if you think about it lumity and dipacifica are basically alike except lumity took time,develop,didn't came out of nowhere in one episode and didn't fell for "I hate you but now I love you despite the major differences" cliché trope.

By the way,the whole age gap excuse for Wendy rejecting Dipper is stupidly lame because lets be honest when a 2/5 year age gape ever stopped anyone?!(certainly didn't stopped kataang,gideon from dating mabel and my parents) if she instead said because of dipper being underage or simply just ANYTHING other than age gape then I would get behind it and also Am I the only one who found incredibly hypocrite how much the series trashed Dipper's feelings for Wendy using the excuse of "it's imposible, he has no future with her because she's 2-3 years older than him", but then the same series supported Mabel's crazy crushes that she honestly had no future either? I mean, is the series and the narrative seriously making watchers and fans believe that Mabel had more future with a bunch of gnomes, a zombie, a vampire, a psycho child(who is 3 years younger), a merman, a puppeteer creep(who is in his 20s!), a cloned boy band(who are in their 20s AGAIN biologically but technically only months old!), any stranger she stalked within her radar each week, and a dollar bill guy, than Dipper with Wendy? Like, she has MORE future with any of those crazy creatures than Dipper has with Wendy, a girl she is very close to and who is only 2 and a half years older? or the fact that Wendy dated a guy with tattoos who is probably 3 years older than her?!

Honestly, I find ironic that the series ditched Dipper's relationship with Wendy because, according to the narrative, it wouldn't matter or last in the long run only for a 2-3 year old gap, but then goes to support even crazier crushes that are changed in a week, because looking through it, out of all the crushes we've seen the kids have, the one who actually can have a future is the one that the series constantly ditches and mocks at.

Before any missunderstooding of what I tried to say: I'm not saying Mabel's crushes didn't end up backfiring, of course they did, it was obvious that would happen sooner or later. What I'm trying to say is that in most episodes they put Mabel's random crushes above Dipper's crush over Wendy with the excuse of "Dipper having no chances nor future with Wendy", as if Mabel had ANY future or chances with any of those crushes at all or as if any of those crushes were any more reallistic than Dipper's crush over Wendy. The thing is, even if Mabel's crushes ended up falling appart, in the end, Mabel got to give it a try with her crushes at the cost of Dipper sacrificing his time with Wendy, therefore pushing Mabel's crushes above Dipper's.

That is what I'm criticizing here: the fact that the narrative puts Mabel's crushes constantly over Dipper's crush using the "they have no future or chances" excuse while also pointedly ignoring that Mabel's crushes had even less chances and future than Dipper's. In fact, Dipper's crush with Wendy has more future than Mabel's, because the only obstacle in here is just a 2 and a half year old gap that in a couple of years won't matter at all, so if these two end up having feelings to each other in the future, it can totally work out.

7-Mabel's bad writting:now now I don't hate Mabel(the only characters in GF that I genuienly hate are Robbie and Pacifica's parents) and I oppose the idea that Mabel should be completely miserable like a CERTAIN AU,but there is no denying that her character suffers lack of change,all her antics is played for laughs only,unlike other characters she never face her consequences and she learns the same repeative lesson and yet never learns(I'm aware of Lost Legends but thats a comic not part of the show so it doesn't change this fatal flaw in the show and even if it was an episode it would still be repeative and only be in "words" not "action" Saying admitting is equal to her redeeming herself and completely grow out of it is like saying a smoker only has to say that smocking is bad and it's all done otherwise we have a narration disaster like everything about Star Wars's Sequel Trilogy).

for me the problem isn't that she caused Weirdmaggedon, is that, after what she accidentally caused through clear bad actions, she absolutely didn't care about it and did nothing to solve it until she got what she wanted. THAT is what makes her responsible for it. You're not to blame for being lied and tricked, but if once you do reallize what you did wrong you shrug it off and you don't care, then THAT makes you to blame for ignoring your responsabilities. And yes, I know Mabel is 12...but so is Dipper, yet the show doesn't hesitate to force him to be more mature than his two grunkles combined, but Mabel gets spared for being the funny immature one and be nothing more than a manic pixie stereotype(hence why this days characters which follow this trope either subverted or written diffrently than their predecessors like Jinx,Molly,Luz and Marcy), when both of them are co-protagonists.

Don’t Go Running Off Into Danger, Even If I Do pt 4

Aight bitches, this’ll be the first chapter when the title starts to make sense. Dipper and Mabel are complete idiots and manage to get lost in the Ghost Zone trying to find Danny, who knows the place. Also, Tucker and Sam. I’m contemplating making one of them nonbinary, prolly Tucker. Yup. And Sam may or may not have she/they pronouns. I think that’s all. Enjoy my chaos.

Chapter 4

Danny did not sleep. Skulker, Ember, Johnny and Kitty decided it would be a great idea to wreck havoc. Ghosts do need order. They said that they only did it because they have no leader. Danny suspected Clockwork was behind it, but he was too tired to string together much of a coherent thought. So, goodbye sleep schedule! He’d sleep in Lancer’s class. What was one more detention?

He greeted Sam and Tucker at the doors. The Pines Twins also showed up. “Danny, did you get a new girlfriend while we were away?” Sam joked. “Shutup. I’m not in the mood,” Danny grumbled. “Oh, it’s cranky pants!” Tucker laughed. They seemed to think his fucked up sleep schedule was a joke. “Don’t blame me, blame Skulker and Johnny,” “Those two usually have Kitty and Ember with them,” Sam said. She had a point. “Yeah, yeah. You know the gyst. Anyways, this is Mason and Mabel,” He gestured to the twins. “They accidentally caught me transforming. Also, we have to make a trip to the Ghost Zone,” “Call me Dipper!” “Once again, I’m not using your stupid nickname,” “Come on Danny, don’t be a dick,” Sam laughed. “Bold of you to assume I can be one,” Danny snorted. Tucker slung his arms over the other two. “Only you get to make trans jokes. And maybe not in earshot of Dash,” They pointed at the quarterback. “Eh. I’m the heir to the Ghost Throne. What can he do?” “You’re the what now?” Sam and Tucker yelled in unison. “Clockwork told me yesterday. Also, they’re immune to Time Outs,” “How is that possible?” Sam was confused. Danny didn’t blame them. “We had a run in with Bill Cipher,” Mabel said confidently. “Sounds boring. Why would the guy with powers be called Bill?” “You’re just salty because you got called InvisoBill,” Tucker comforted him. “I have half a mind to reveal myself to the entire school,” “Bill was extremely dangerous,” “Danger dorito!” Mabel chimed in. “You are not helping me take this seriously. Tucker, get off,” Danny shoved Tucker off. They were elbowing him in the ribs. “Oh come on, you know you like it. Mwah!” Tucker kissed Danny’s cheek. Danny became a tomato. “Hey! Not in front of the entire school!” He was completely gone. He’d been dating Tucker for about a month now. “You guys are dating?” Mabel looked heartbroken. What the fuck? “Uhh, yeah. Tucker’s into guys and I’m bi. But we’d prefer not to announce it to the entire school,” “You know what you should announce to the entire school? That you’re Danny Phantom. Only if you take the crown though,” Sam said. “I’m doing it. Jazz said it would be a good idea,” “We’ll need cover then. Dipper, Mabel, you get to guard the portal!” Sam said way too enthusiastically. “They’re new! They know nothing about it!” Danny protested. “Well, if it’s anything like Great Uncle Ford’s portal, we can handle it,” Mabel said. “That shut down the moment he walked out Mabel,” “My parents’ Ghost Portal has been going strong for two years!” Danny said. “And caused all of the madness in Amity. Never mind half killing you,” Sam said. “That was entirely your fault,” Danny replied. “I concede to that point,” Sam accepted her fate. “Good. Now, are you guys sure you can handle this?” Danny was skeptical. “Yup!” Mason and Mabel said.

Sleeping in Lancer’s class was a one way ticket to detention. But what did that matter? At lunch, he ran up to the stage in the caf and transformed in front of the entire school. “FENTON IS PHANTOM?” “HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE!?” “I’VE BEEN CRUSHING ON NERD BOY?” Ah, Paulina. “Anywho, now that you’re all done panicking, yeah, it’s true. Tell whoever the fuck you want. I’m tired of lies and secrets. Also, I’m trans!” He flew off. He had to deal with a ghost. Val caught up with him before long. “Are you a complete idiot?!” “Yup. But hey, who gives a fuck. Wes might get a kick out of it,” “You’re going to get yourself killed!” “Been there done that Val,” “Why?!” “Turns out I’m the heir to the Ghost Throne. Who the fuck is gonna mess with the all powerful Ghost King?” “You aren’t yet!” “I will be by the time school is over. Clockwork told me he’d help me out if I needed it,” The GAV came up under him. “DANIEL FENTON! GET DOWN HERE THIS INSTANT!” His mom yelled. “Nah, I’m good. You know, I’m surprised you didn’t notice your own son DIED,” “Danny, don’t be like that,” “Don’t be like what Dad? Don’t be dead? Don’t protect Amity from ghosts? Oh! I’ll do you one better, don’t panic when you scream that you’ll rip me apart molecule by molecule? Now if you don’t mind, I didn’t sleep last night and the Box Ghost is back,” He rushed into the fight before they could see the tears. “Danny!” He heard his mother howl in anguish. “Hey bub. Fought you yesterday. I’m seriously not in the mood for a fight, so get in the fucking thermos!” He held out the thermos. “BEWARE!” “SHUT UP!” He yelled and became invisible. “Danny, we know you’re there,” Mom said. “SO?! You know, I kinda hoped you would notice, but only Wes was smart enough to notice. I spent two years hiding. Now, I’ve got a Crown of Fire I need to take,” He sped off. There wasn’t gonna be more hiding. “Wait, like Pariah Dark? Danny, that will corrupt your mind!” “Like being a half ghost has done? Oh, and just FYI, Vlad is half ghost too. Remember Plasmius? Vlad. Have fun!” He sped off for real this time. “Vladdie’s a ghost?” Dad looked baffled. Danny sped past the school and grabbed the group. “Was that really the best way to go about that?” Sam said. “You’re going to be all over the news!” Tucker screamed. “Meh. I was already. At least I’m not public enemy one anymore!” He dropped the Twins and sped into the portal. Sam and Tucker had put on the Fenton Phones already. “Wes is having a field day,” Sam panted. “Figured he would. Let’s go in,” They walked into Pariah’s Keep.“CLOCKWORK!” “Ah, I see you made the desicion to come,” “Yup. Does there need to be a ceremony or something? Cause I just announced my identity to the entire school,” “Like a fucking dumbass,” Tucker muttered. “Bold of you to assume I could be anything but,” “Sorry Tuck, Danny’s right,” “Yay! I can be right for once! Take that Jazz!” “About your dumbassery,” Tucker groaned. “Semantics. Let’s do this,” “You just need to place the crown atop your head, then place the ring on your hand. Right hand, ring finger,” “Does it have to be just like that?” “Bad things happen if you do it any other way,” “Okay,” He sighed and did as told. He shivered as the crown became ice and a black billowing cape came off his shoulders. “Weird,” “Dude, you’re the Ghost King!” Tucker screamed. “Ahh! Advanced hearing! Where’d that come from?” Danny covered his ears. “When you become king, all of your existing abilities become amplified and you gain new ones,” “Oh yay. More powers to master,” “Okay, this is great and all, but what does he do now?” Sam said. “My ears,” Danny cried. “Sorry,” She whispered. “Your eyesight will also be advanced. You won’t notice it much here, but in the human world, it will become obvious,” “And painful to adjust to,” Danny muttered. “Brrr. Danny, it’s freezing,” Tucker shivered. “If I was bad at controlling that before, you think I can now?” “Sorry dude. Let’s head back,” “I need to tell the people my first rule real quick,” “What’s that?” “Don’t wreak havoc in the human world. They can still go, but don’t do anything that endangers the humans,” “Huh. Good plan,” Sam shivered. “You sure you can’t control that?” “I’m doing what I normally do to fix it times 10!” “So it could be colder?” Tucker shivered. “Go home and get jackets,” Danny sighed. He pointed and a portal opened. “The fuck?!” “Congrats dude, you can make portals!” Tucker clapped. “At least we won’t have to use the Fenton one anymore,” Sam shivered into her shirt. Danny concentrated and made portals directly into their houses. He grinned.

Dipper and Mabel heard footsteps coming into the basement and had no place to hide, so they jumped into the portal. The place was terrifying. “Mabel, this is freaky,” Dipper shivered. It was oddly cold. “You think Grunkle Ford felt this way when he travelled through dimensions?” “Not that he told me,” They both shivered. A strange vehicle came rushing past. “Was it always this cold in here Mads?” Jack Fenton said. “Not that I remember,” She shivered. The temperature fluctuated randomly. “He’s in here somewhere!” Jack exclaimed and sped off. “That’s Danny’s parents! We gotta find him!” They followed the strange machine.

Sam and Tucker took five minutes to get jackets. He’d managed to grab Jazz in the mean time. “Hoodie. I’m not wearing the stupid jumpsuit with this cape,” “Since when do you have a fashion sense?” Sam laughed. “Since never. I just like the hoodie more,” He pulled the hood up. The temperature went up. “Hey! That’s neat,” It went down again. “Heh,” “Don’t get excited until you figure this out better,” Tucker groaned. “Deal,” He laughed nervously. “Okay, how do I get them all to come here? I’m not the greatest at this,” “Just yell announcement. That usually makes them teleport directly here,” Clockwork said. Danny obliged. His voice was really loud. “I guess that’s another one to add to the list,” He chuckled. All the ghosts in the Zone teleported to his feet. They grumbled. “Uh, hi guys. I’m not very good at this royalty thing, so I’m only gonna really give you one new rule. I’ll get rid of all the stupid rules later. Just, uh, don’t wreak havoc in the human world. Don’t endanger humans. Like, you can still go, but avoid being dangerous,” “King Phantom, are you sure that’s the best plan? You are going to enforce rules that protect us from the humans too, aren’t you?” Dora’s voice rang through. “Oh shit. The whole guys in white incident a while back. Yeah, I’ll come up with something,” He rubbed his temples. “Also, can I get some help learning how to make it less freezing all the time?” “Of course Great One. The people of the Far Frozen would love to help,” Frostbite said. “Thanks Frostbite?” He grinned. At least until he saw the Spectre Speeder pull up. Fuck. “Look at all these ghosts! I’ve gotta catch a few!” His dad yelled. The ghosts looked terrified. “Hey! You aren’t going to do that! HOW DARE YOU?!” Danny sped down to the Speeder. “Danny, I can’t believe you aren’t trying to capture these ghosts for science!” Jack said. The world became very, very cold. “These are sentient people that you just decided to barge in on! You’re always like this! And it’s my job to protect them just as much as I protected you! GET OUT OF THE ZONE NOW!” He screamed. “Danny, calm down. We just want to help you,” “No you don’t. I won’t let you endanger ghosts for ‘science’. It’s cruel and wrong. Would you do that to a human?” “Of course not. But ghosts aren’t sentient. Their emotions aren’t real. Just displays put on to convince you that they have them,” “HOW. DARE. YOU! You have no right to barge in here and threaten these people. Some of them may have harmed you, but the way you act like they’re nothing, like they aren’t standing here right now, is horrible. This is Frostbite,” He grabbed Frostbite. “ He leads a stable society in the Far Frozen. He’s never left the Ghost Zone and never once harmed me. You know what the first thing he did when he met me? He gave me a hug. And you would torture him just for being a ghost. You think you know everything, but you know NOTHING! LEAVE NOW!” “Danny, is this really how you feel?” Maddie looked sad. “Get. Out. I’m destroying the portal on your way out. If I EVER find you back here, I will not hesitate to cause harm,” “The crown’s already begun to corrupt you!” Jack protested. “No, my views haven’t changed. You hurt ghosts. You hurt me! I’m trying my hardest all the time all you care about is your beliefs,” “They’re true!” “No, most of them aren’t. You don’t even bother talking to a ghost. Ghost have feelings, feel pain, have a society. Maybe it’s different than what you’re used to, but that doesn’t invalidate it,” Danny sighed again. “Just leave,” He turned around and flew back up to the chunk of land. “Danny...” “DIDN’T HEAR ME?! LEAVE!” He whipped around and yelled.

Sam, Tucker and Jazz followed him into the castle. He stared at Pariah’s sarcophagus. “Danny, I know that was difficult, but you were right to do it,” Jazz put her hands on his shoulders. He must’ve been freezing. “They really don’t listen. I have no clue what I’m doing, but I do know that the ghosts have a right to my protection,” He heard screaming. “You know what’s weird? If I close my eyes tight enough, I can see all over the Zone. And I think the Twins got lost in here,” “Let’s go get them,”

The Fentons came rushing past again. They didn’t seem to have Danny though. “I can’t believe he’s protecting ghosts!” Maddie sobbed. “He’s gonna destroy our life’s work!” “I know,” All of a sudden, Danny appeared before them. “Hey guys. Get lost?” He smiled. The crown floating above his head serving as a daunting reminder. “Yeah, we were trying to find you to warn you about your parents,” “I dealt with them,” The temperature fluctuated again. “Sorry, my hands are cold. But you need to get home,” He opened a portal and they flew threw it. He teleported away.

He went down to the basement and destroyed the portal. His parents looked mortified. “Finally. I won’t be constantly reminded how I died,” He sighed. Maddie and Jack said nothing. “Humph,” He teleported away and made a portal back to the Zone.

god so....me nd jester finished gravity falls and....GOD

i have sos oso much to say about it, (under the cut tho ofc)

but like....tl;dr.....that was easily the best show i’ve ever watched, and one of the best narrative’s i’ve ever had the pleasure of witnessing

oof ok so i’ll start small

the animation in general, ESPECIALLY the scenery was rly nice

god the theme like not the theme SONG (though that will get its own bullet point)but like??the theme of the show??? the mystery feel mixed with modern stuff, and still being REALLY DARK AND HAVING GENUINE HORROR whilst still managing to be a kids show is wild

like!!! they didnt pull any punches!!! they didnt treat kids like dumbasses that would get the show!! it complex and intelligent and engaging!!!!

ok so the THEME SONG ok GOD I LOVED IT BUT....turns out bc me and jester were using dailymotion well.....uhhh 90% of the gravity falls eps on there are sped up?? (like 1:25x speed) i NEVER NOTICED i jsut thought all the eps were around 18-19 mins??? turns out thery’re actually 22, so we’ve been watching at a slightly faster pace??? we watched ONE at a slower pace and i was like ‘WHAT’ but like!! that slower pace wasthe reAL SPEED NKHDFHNJHJF its...v strange tbh bc i’ll probably rewatch them on kimcarttons bc thats’ more reliable and all in the right palce but....idk i kinda prefer the slightly sped up version??? its enough that al lthe characters still seem rly natural they didnt...seem liek they were sped up but they WERE but it means the natural ones now seem slower to me nkjkdhjfkd, either way watch the theme song on 1.25x on youtube and you’ll see my experience its....rly good

BUT GOD IT WAS WRITTEN SO FUCKNG WELL THERE WAS NO LOOSE ENDS I DONT THINK????? IT JUST!!! EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD ND SATISFYING

dIPPER ok just!!! a kid who was rly into mysteries nd nerding things and reading BIG FUCKNIG MOOD alos befire he showed like..any interest in girls nd was eye rolling at mabel talking at boys i was like ‘oh!!! aro ace!!!’ then the wendy stuff happened and i went ‘welp, i made my bed, time to lie in it’ and i SMASHED the compulsory heterosexuality button KHDFHNDFJ oh yeah he’s trans bc hell yea

STAN I LOVE HIM SO SO MUCH LIKE he’s super fucking funny and like!!!! he cares SO SO MCUH abt mabel and dipper nd his bro!!!! he cares nd loves for them wholst still being that cool, chaotic, not exactly law abiding grunkle and!!! he literally learned how to work his bros machine nd tried to 30 years just to get him back AAAAAAAAAA and GOD BEING WILLING TO SACRIFICE HIS OWN MEMORIES TO SAVE EVERYONE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA o he’s also trans bc ye!!!

i just!! god i rly loved it it was such a good story and it was the perfect length, you could TELL the creator went ‘this is going to be as long at the story needs it to be, im not stretching it out and making it stale/having the quality dip like’ it was pefect nd we all want more bc we loved it but!!! it also ended in such a satisfying way that i couldnt imagine it coming back without being worried the quality would dip so im satisfied but OOF

yes!!! ok so

when or if i started shipping it: i cant actually remember for sure? i know i started getting into the gravity falls fandom after i had caught up, which was a lil bit after a tale of two stans aired, and i completely misinterpreted fords character and didnt really like him that much until that break inbetween roadside attraction and weirdmageddon, but then once i did figure him out i got really into it, so it mustve been around then? idk

my thoughts: oh WORM!!! they were one of the earliest gay ships i rly rly got into and now that gf is over i dont think abt them as much, but someone can just bring them up and boom. im in the Zone. in retrospect the fact that i was constantly like ‘Im Ford’ and so deeply invested in this mlm ship and constantly projecting onto both of them while these r not signs of being a gay boy inherently, make a lot more sense now that i am a Gay Boy (tm).

what makes me happy about them: the fact that even tho there r ppl who will desperately insist ford is straight or ford is bi so he can still be Straight(tm) Ford Is Gay literally became a meme and despite alex herb not meaning anything less than hetti spaghetti by what he wrote abt them in the journal he still had to censor it and that theyre just two gay scientists who can help each other work through their trauma and heal together and do some cool science

what makes me sad about them: see above. one time somebody said ford might be gay bc of radiation poisoning and all my crops died

things done in art/fic that annoy me: oh boy i rly hate it when fids is characterized as a smol helpless waif and/or when ford is characterized as a lorge asshole. i hate all those one sided angst fics where fids is in love with ford but they cant b a thing bc ford is aro how tragic :’( or ones where fids is cheating on his wife with ford when u could easily just have a poly or open relationship or have the fic take place after they get a divorce, u dont know that that only happened after the mind gun stuff went too far. ALSO fics where bill takes control of ford and abuses fids for fun. dont like that.

things i look for in art/fic: ok first of all i wanna say my crops are DYING and i desperately want more trans ford and/or fids content, but trans ford stuff seems pretty rare and ofc more ppl wanna hc fids as a trans man bc hes....? ???? got narrow shoulders and hes skinny and apparently not as masculine? but a lot of the trans fids content i see usually seems 2 involve piling on as much trans-related angst as possible and/or using him for their mpreg fetish and honestly? fuck off

i would also like to see some more fluff with them where nobody is an asshole and they just enjoy their day, but that being said i do rly like hurt/comfort too tbh, if its like say, them trying 2 deal with their trauma and/or mental illnesses and helping each other thru it, stuff like that, not ‘ford and/or bill was a huge asshole to fids but hes okay with it bc???’ or ‘fids has 80 relatives and their only trait is being transphobic’

who id be comfortable with them ending up with, if not each other: im not rly sure? i cant think of any fandom ships for them that arent yknow disgusting and none of my own that come to mind would b that good tbh? ideally if they dont pair up, they stay good friends and fids lives a nice and comfy life in his mansion and bonds with his son while ford goes on fun boat adventures with stan, they email each other a lot and live a nice life.

my happily ever after for them: ok so i have two ways this could go bear with me - either like i said above fids lives a comfy and happy life in his mansion, he bonds with tate again, he adopts paz and possibly the dipper clones and his boat husband comes home every so often and tells him all abt his fun adventures while cuddling him and they generally have a good time. alternatively fids goes on the boat adventures with stan and ford and they have a grand old time

their favorite nonsexual activity: ford lays on the couch and fids falls asleep on top of him wrapped up in his big strong grampa arms and covered in a thick blanket and they sleep all day and wake up knowing nobody is going to hurt them ever again

I should probably post some info on g since I released her mix here before actually posting about her so heres a general info post on her

some concept art:

info so far:

- lost her dad and little sister at 8

-millie is her foster/adoptive mother (although millie is like 47)

- been in gravity falls (far side of town) for 7 years.

-Plays bass really well

-music nerd kinda

-likes sunny beach music

- kind of likes theatre too

- trans girl and bi.

- is barely out to anyone and goes by "G" and says its her stage name (The g stands for genevieve)

I also kind of have story idea and character interaction concepts too:

G and Mabel: G isn't the best at socalizing, but I think theyd be friends! G would introduce her to some obscure music genre's mabel would adore, and mabel would invite her to hang out with candy and grenda too! They would give eachother makeovers and stuff

G and Dipper: I think they actually would have been good friends for a while both kind of not the best as socalizing and dipper would be interested in the soundscapes that millie has (G tells him all about it when he gets interested) but I also had an idea that dipper kind of makes a bad comment that makes him seem like he looks down on mabel (bc dipper is a little shit sometimes and he has done that) and G does not let that fly and kinda chews him out a little. And after she sees how he starts to treat thompson in the love god ep Friendship kinda stops there for a while.

G and grunkle stan: Doesn't really have an opnion of him at first, the twins usually meet at her house or somewhere else. Has been at the shack a few times, and did introduce him to millie hoping they would hit it off and millie would get off her case a little more, and relax and have fun bc she deserves it. (Kinda backfires a lil bit) maybe have had one moment where they relate to one another abt the loss of a sibling. but only a concept

G and soos: blog and chat mutuals, a lot to discuss about obscure games, music and graphics may or may not have snuck a few of millie's records to him (That resulted in a mess of cursed mayhem)

G and wendy: were friends when she was 8 but then became kind of a weird school friend relationship (Will talk to you at school, be your partner for a lab if my first choice isn't available, ect) G assumes that wendy just doesn't like her very much anymore (and shes not ready to be out to her yet) but wendy doesn't see it that way. she just has other friends that live closer to her and isn't really able to see her much. G does not know shes part of thompsons friend group.

G and Tambri: G kinda had a crush on tambri in middle school but hasn't really given it much thought since. Likes her status updates. She doesn’t know shes part of thompsons friend group either.

G and thompson: They are really good online friends! They both used to play one one one of those websites like poptropica/neopets/club penguin when they were in middle school and have been friends over since!

both out to each other ( I Hc Thompson is gay, G is Bi and Trans) G tries to get thompson to come visit her a lot when they have time. and They both will vent to each other a lot through texts about things they both relate to

(I headcanon that thompson isn’t out to any of his friends out of fear he will be alone again if he tells them, And G also fears if anyone else were to know shed be isolated even more.)

After hearing about what thompsons friend's make him do G kind of wants him to ditch those guys cause they make him feel that way, and that they make him do things he doesn’t want to do (and cause one of them cut contact with her, she doesn’t want the same thing to happen to him) but she will never tell him that directly out of fear it will upset him and they won't be friends anymore

and a rewritten episode idea thingy with the love god

It would tie in with G and robbie cause Robbie and G were actually good friends for a long time. They met at a summer theater type camp thing that they were both signed up for whether they wanted it or not.

They were even thinking of starting a band together But Robbie kind of ditched her for other people she wasn't comfortable around and their friendship kind of ended at 14 due to robbie not keeping in contact and G kind of shutting herself in afterwards.

Instead of like tambry and robbie meeting at the diner mabel would set up G and Robbie

It is Awkward.

They both have a lot they really want to say but its an awkward "How r you" "Good" loop for like ten mins

Mabel sees This isn’t working, and talks to the love god, he still won’t give her the potion and suggests instead that Maybe a change of scenery will get them to talk to each other. So she gets them to tag along with her to a bunch of different places. It kind of works?

They go to the mall and they chat a little about the music playing on the speakers, they look at and poke fun at the things on sale. But there is still a weird tension.

Then things kind of spill out later when they meet up with the group. Thompson does kind of ditch the others after G gets overwhelmed/starts to panic and needs to go home. there would be a lot of self reflection. Im still working on it. tho these r just jumbled thoughts
