21. If you're a fic writer and have written for this character, what's your favorite thing to do when you're writing for this character? What's something you don't like?

Pearl is one of my favorite guys to write because she’s one of my favorite guys in general, and every aspect of her character is fun to portray. It’s impossible to pick just one favorite, but something I love exploring is Pearl’s sense of loyalty, especially in the Life Series, where it’s such an integral part of her arc as a whole and how it’s simultaneously a great trait to have and yet has caused Pearl so much pain, either through denying her a team to be loyal to or her outliving the rest of her team entirely

Kinda tempted to go through all the life series deaths and calculate what percentage of them were technically 'illegal' kills

For reference each seasons killing rules:

3rd life: Killing on red, retaliating an attack

Last life: same as above + can kill anyone on boogie (I'm not sure if it officially excludes killing red players)

Double life: same as 3rd life

Limited life: only can kill people in the colour 'above' (yellows can kills greens, reds can kill green and yellows)

I'll just be counting what grian says cause it gets pretty messy when trying to differentiate between people misremembering the rules or them coming to an agreement off camera over certain finer points of the rules.

Is there a possibility that Ayato waxes his legs?

You know what I don’t think he…can?

It’s a really sad miserable situation, especially adding to his wounds about traditional masculinity or whatever he’s fixated on this week.

I mean Shu was probably one of those 13-year-olds who woke up one morning with a voice pitch 5 times lower than usual and a solid stubble, growing hair from god knows where. Whereas Ayato was 17 and still trying to grow this tiny whimsical strand of chest hair, forget leg hair. 

He’s as smooth as a baby doesn’t mean he likes it.

His go-to excuse is probably something about Viboras being naturally hairless compared to vampires even though compared to his brother he has a more dominant vampire gene.

Laito once grew one of those french goatee things which were hideous but Ayato has never been fueled with more hatred, so he helped Reiji shave the hideous thing off in the middle of the night ( also thank god for Reiji’s micromanagement because Laito looked so creepy- like more than usual.)

I mean it’s usually just harmless stuff like that his brothers jest with him, even the triplets. 

Like Shu couldn’t wait to get home from the north pole, but one of the top things he wanted to do was shave, because I know my man was tired of how much of his face it took up and how scratchy it had gotten. Where does he do it?

Ayato’s bathroom right before Ayato comes home, ready to take a shower after practice.

And what is waiting for him, like this slow-motion shot of Shu; shirtless, and just out of the shower with water dripping down him to his towel hung low on his hips, built like some greek hero back from war, just about to shave off his stubble with the sun in the window behind him highlighting everything??

The world was against Ayato that day because Shu wasn’t going to clean up his beard left in Ayato’s sink or the shaving foam water, and Reiji wouldn’t do it because it was Shu’s. 

So Ayato had to do it.
