False wasn't used to this. Normally Cleo's hair framed her face, red curls battering out the sunlight as she listened to the waves batter Atlantis. To have Cleo's fingers tangled up in her own golden locks, using it as a leverage point to pull False close, was new.

False's hands braced the ground beside Cleo's head, lowered onto her elbows for a better angle. She couldn't really breath but that didn't matter. As long as Cleo kept kissing her, they could figure out how to turn her into a zombie for all she cared.

She was, mostly, joking.

False leaned back and drew a deep breath of air into her lung, feeling the weight of her chest shift on top of Cleo as the other grinned up from their place on the ground. "Forgot about that. The breathing part. Sorry," they said, though they didn't sound very sorry. They sounded smug about it.

False leaned back down and stole away another kiss, though perhaps not as deeply this time, before putting her whole weight onto Cleo and falling to the side. "You're a good kisser," she said, stroking back some of Cleo's hair.

She felt a hand drifting down the back of her shirt, trailing lightly. "So I've been told by you about a hundred times."

False rolled and caught Cleo's lips again, soft against her own by with an interesting, rubbery texture. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't human. "How bout I tell you for the hundred and first time then?" she asked, pressing back down into Cleo.

Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop

Yesterday me and Pinkie watched 'Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop' while we wait for 'The Boy and the Crane' (with teeth) to come out. I am super charmed by it although it was initially something I probably never would have watched because it was not my style.

Pinkie's whimsy however, and my deep love for making them happy, lead me here though.

So I wanted to try my hand at Haikus and looked up some seasonal words to get the feel. Then read the Grammarly post about it because I instantly forgot what the number of the syllables was meant to be... Even though Pinkie repeated it like 5 times yesterday.

I can't count syllables, but this is my mediocre attempt:
