woe, Eisen OOAK be upon ye
his base is a bruno madrigal doll. Telesphore and Ariadne to follow. And then Colette eventually but I'm not really sure what doll to use as a base for her. (leaning towards a 90s barbie because I have about 7 million of those lying around)
things I did to this doll:
reface and reroot. the hair is yarn.
sewed his whole outfit. including the shoes. And the leg brace, which was made from the same pvc as the boots but I went back and repainted them.
gave him the goggles from an old bratz doll, I think. which i repainted to be black and bronze.
things i still have to do to him:
add soles and laces to the boots
3d print him a little pipe wrench
might give him a tool belt to bring some of that golden brown colour down from the goggles and up from the leg brace
might also cut his limbs up with the dremel so I can give him knee and elbow joints. that would make it easier to dress him. and I would also like it if I could pose him too (especially since the doll I'm using for telesphore has elbow joints and they need to be able to hug)

Tutorial: MH Creepro neck and Arm fix
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Posting this here because I keep getting questions about how I've been fixing my MH Creeproduction bodies to look a little less janky! Most people already have these techniques in their arsenal (and can definitely do a better job than me) but I keep getting questions on Twitter about how I manage to fix mine so I figure I'd just post a tut on Tumblr that I can link to lol This is an add-on to my previous post about the neck issue with both waves of Monster High Creeproductions in addition to another issue where the Creepro arms cannot lay flat against the sides of the body. Tutorial below!
Supplies Needed:
-Shitty creepro body
-Some sandpaper, I've been using 320 grit
-Boiling water We're going to start with the neck since that one is pretty quick.
This is the neck peg to start with, compared to an original G1 neck peg- the section we're concerned with is the circular peg right above the neck hole:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Creepro on the left, original on the right) the Creeproduction peg is significantly thicker, which is causing the head to sit lower on the neck and cause the vinyl to deform. We're going to fix that by sanding the underside of the neck peg until it's much thinner, but not quite as thin as the originals (since original g1 dolls frequently have loose necks lol)
First you'll want to cut out a rectangle of sandpaper and fold it in half; this is both to make the sandpaper less flimsy and also because the folded edge is good for sanding nooks and crannies.
Tumblr media
Now you're going to sand all around underside of the circular neck peg shown here, until that whole circular peg is thinner:
Tumblr media
Make sure not to use the folded edge of the sandpaper for this part of the tutorial, we don't want to accidentally carve into the "stem" of the neck peg and cause it to snap. I like to sand off a bit, try the head on and then sand off a bit more if it's still not sitting as high as an original MH neck would. Make sure you're heating the heads prior to removal or you might break the neck peg. And also chop off that stupid hook on the top of the circular peg, it does nothing but cause misery lol This is typically what it looks like when I've sanded it as much as I need to for most dolls:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(after on the left, before on the right) Some characters have heads that sit much higher on the neck originally (like Spectra) so I'll sand off a lot more for them, but ymmv.
Now onto the body!
So, this is the Creeproduction body as-is:
Tumblr media
This is the flattest I can get her arms to her sides. Some creepros can get them flatter, but not by much. Original G1 body arms already tend not to lay flat enough in my experience, but Creeproduction bodies are even worse lol We're going to fix that with sandpaper and boiling water! Provided below is an illustration of the general places that we are going to sand:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The notch under the ball joint of the arm, the area directly below the armpit and a tiny bit of the round area on the underside of the upper arm. We're going to sand a little off of each section.
For the notch in the arm, you're going to use the folded edge of the sandpaper to carve out the notch until it's a bit deeper than previously.
Tumblr media
No, it's not pretty! Thank you for noticing lol
Next we're going to sand the armpit area, using the other edges of the sandpaper because we don't want to dig into the arm at all accidentally:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As well as this rounded area of the arm , not too much but enough to make it just a little flatter:
Tumblr media
I left it raw to better show exactly where I'm sanding; most of the visible sand marks will disappear after washing but you can clean it up more with a finer sandpaper when you're done if you want. I'm just too lazy to do that lol
After all of that, your arm should sit more or less like the arm on the right (left unsanded for comparison)
Tumblr media
Much better, but not quite there yet!
Modern G1 bodies have vinyl upper arms that are easy to manipulate with heat, so in order to get them as flat as possible we're doing to boil and reshape them. I like to boil my water in the microwave, and then dip the entire upper torso into the water until the arms are super pliable. At this point I will pull them out, pinch the arms right up against the body with my thumb and forefinger and then run them under the tap until they set. Your final result should look something like this:
Tumblr media
And that's it! Hope that helps lol
Some shoddy before and after photos lol:

(Spectra was also rerooted lol)

SUN'S OUT TONGUE'S OUT
Tumblr media
My entry for the Unsounded Fanworks Contest and tribute to the bestest girl Pantoffel! If you like it please give it a vote!
Edit: Holy shit you guys! I won?! Thanks to all who voted and hope you enjoyed it!
In the meantime, here are some detail photos and a breakdown of the work that went into making it under the cut, featuring the bestest boi and model, my pupper Sharky. Scroll to the end for a special treat!
Tumblr media
The saddle is real leatherwork at a tiny scale. Everything patterned, wet-shaped, dyed, finished, and assembled by yours truly. The saddle blanket is custom-made to match as well. The seat of the saddle is stitched to the base just at the front and back to allow the pieces to move in relation to each other for a more comfortable fit.
The pommel and backrest are both modeled and 3D printed by yours truly as well, with sports tape for the fabric on the pommel. Both are attached using rivet backings set through hollow points in the prints.
Tumblr media
From the back more detail can be seen for the backrest. It is wet-shaped and stretched over the base, and then flathead pins were cut short and turned into the tiniest nails to nail it in place. No glue was used at all in it's construction.
Tumblr media
The collar was constructed so that it fit around Sharky's head and then the tension in the straps under his legs pulled it tight. Those straps are attached to loops placed in the stitching with lobster clasps. Much of the construction is hidden in his majestic chest fluff, but a good chunk of it can be seen here.
And now on to his co-star, Captain Emil Toma!
Tumblr media
This was a Finn action figure that I did heavy modifications to. Original details were mostly sanded off for a vaguely person-shaped base thar I then sculpted details back onto with epoxy-putty. Even his face recieved a bit of shaping to change the underlying bone structure to match Emil better. All of the original joints still move save for his left wrist, which needed to be sealed in place lest his hand fall off. The gun the figure was holding was replaced by his sword. I decided to stick to mostly early/mid-comic designs, picturing this as a toy a Crescean kid might play with before the events of the comic take place.
Tumblr media
From the back we can see the leather pouch which was hand-stitched together and attached with a rivet back. It's fully functional and can store approximately 4 quarters in it. The scabbard was 3D printed with a peg for attachment purposes and the parts that 'hold' it to the sash are clothing tags.
Tumblr media
The sash itself is fabric and held in place with fashion tape. Edges were melted to seal them and then folded under to allow me more control over how they wrinkle. The badge is hand-sculpted from the same epoxy-putty used to modify the body. It's about as tall as my thumbnail and I have never wished for a resin printer more ardently than when I was sculpting it with a straight pin.
Tumblr media
Proportionally the two of them are nearly perfect together! But, regrettably, the figure was too heavy to sit in the saddle on his own. Especially on a dog that can out-run a dalmatian! Hence why they were photoshopped together for the final image.
I hope you enjoyed this tour of the utter insanity that has been my free time for the last few months. I actually started this before the contest was announced...and through some setbacks and bad timing of life events still didn't get done until the last minute. As promised, here is your special treat!

I found two barbies I used to have as a kid at the thrift store! I gave the Bedtime barbie top surgery and they're dating the ballerina. Love wins 🥰

Introducing BonBon (he/her), my new Telesthesia & Dragon Du Xiaoju 💙
He's SO gal. I was shooting for gyaru, but I didn't think I would hit it this hard. It's funny, because every other doll of his sculpt i've seen is so much more demure looking with sweet, innocent eyes, and then Bon is out here with his bad-girl gyaru vibes. I think if all the Telesthesia Du Xiaojus had a party, he would be drunk and all the others would be like, "who let HER in here?"
I love him, your honor. He makes me sick with happiness 💙

My customized "Monster Ball" Clawdeen doll.
I changed almost everything about her except the body, shoes, and bowtie, haha! (last picture is what the original doll looked like)
Removed the head (I'll use the G3 head on something else) and instead used a cheap knockoff G1 head (if you get the knockoff heads, they don't have glue holding the hair in, so easy to remove), and re-rooted with black and dark green DMC, black all in back and on the sides, dark green just for the front. Ordered doll sunglasses online and these fit perfectly, as well as a black lace ballet dress ( link to dress ) that I modified by tying thread around the waist to fit and adding beading at the start of the skirt (with fabric glue). Painted the claws black, and used silver marker on the shoes and glued a rhinestone gem at the center.
The last thing I did was add moon earrings, actual people earrings I got from a bargain store that I bent the pins back with a wire tool thingy (very technical, I am) so they would stay.
Overall it took 3 days of freetime to complete and I love her. She's cooler than me.

Tsukuyomi
from Final Fantasy XIV
I'm calling it done for now, some details and the moon are missing but they will be reviewed on a later date. Could be better? Of course, but it could also be unfinished forever.

Finally took some pictures of my modified sun and moon doldrop inspired clown dolls! I used the amazon plushes as a base!
These modifications were heavily inspired by @pixelchills dolldrops comics, which bring me serotonin every day, and which comfort me whenever i’m feeling down! Thank you for everything you do, you really inspired me to make these little guys and the three of us are grateful ☺️
(Little extra tidbits. They have bells that actually jingle, their under-bodies are actually silver and i’m eventually planning on painting on mechanics and wires. I hand stitched almost everything from scratch except their under bodies and shirts which i machine sewed)

[ID: two photos of a skinned unicorn toy, made mostly of white plastic casing, exposed joints, wires, and green circuit boards. It has blue hooves, eyes and a horn.]
a lil something ive been working on for a bit now, i think shes super cute but i still have a lot of plans for her going forward
1. replacing her tail with a cool new robot tail (and a mane?? maybe??)
2. getting the fuzz off her ears, or just removing them entirely?
3. she still has a bit of fuzz on the right front hoof, ill need to use acetone or something to scrub the visible parts away (all the other fur was like sown in but this ones like glued underneath the hoof for some reason??)
4. id love to open up her torso a bit more but a. dont know if thats even a good idea (it might be load bearing??) and b. not sure how to remove her legs :3 (if anyone has any suggestions im all ears)
5. i like her creepy dolls eyes but i kinda wanna know how shed look without them………..
