Photos from the second year at the Academy of Art. For outerwear that day, I wore a minimalistic pink oversized jacket. The time to return home was during rush hour on the subway. I decided to wait for the next train because the one that stopped was full of people. A guy in unusual clothes was looking at me from the subway car as I stood there. The guy looked at the jacket with indifference, and then saw a ton of lace on the bottom. He gave me a wide smile and the train doors closed.

the mcbling style is all about the printz (leopard, cheetah, zebra), lots of sparkles, low rise pants & shorts, baby tees, tanks, bedazzled shirts, & lots of skin! the trashier the better! knowing the brandz are important too so start looking for lots of ed hardy, affliction, playboy, hustler, skin industries, juicy couture, and victoria secret pink!

now for makeup it's defiently all about the eyez. big bold eyeliner or eyeshadow is important with a sparkly lid or smoky eye. i personally love lots of blush and jewels all on my face to add some extra pizzazz! & how could i ever forget about the bubblegum pink lip!!! saint germain is a holy grail for all my mcbling queens!!

QUACK QUACK! duck nails are a staple to this style with the addition of the printz, star designs, playboy symbol, hello kitty designs, and lots of gems. square french tips in different colors, sizes, and designs are a definite need for this trashtastic style!

there were a lot of mid 2000’s inspirations but the one i’m gonna talk about are our favorite guidettes!! snooki, j-woww, and deanna really showcased fashion and fun which is what mcbling is all about! they are all about being party animals, having big personalities, & wearing bold outfits like trucker hats, spike sunglasses, fur boots, and huge bags!

without accessories an outfit is absolutely nothing. this style is all about being cute, silly, and fun which is why accessories are a must have. you have to be glitz and sparkling from head to toe with chunky bangles, big sparkly rings, studded belts, big necklaces with jewels, and bamboo earrings. one of my fav things to do is adding cute plush keychains to my bags. everything is large & in charge in this style.

i wanted to do a Valentine’s Day post about self love but ofc i procrastinated lol. self love has been a big struggle for me & i just wanted to shed light on how important it is for you beautiful angels to love yourself 1st!

im gonna be breaking it down into a few categories!

೫ ˚ʚ🍥 ੭ Mentality ₊˚ ෆ

when loving yourself it’s all about what’s on the inside. you have to not only treat yourself with lots of love but think of yourself with lots of love. it’s way easier said than done. i love to look at myself in the mirror & say sweet affirmations to boost my confidence. another thing is writing out my feelings. keeping negative thoughts in your head can create negative feelings towards yourself so instead let it out & reassure yourself. saying kind words and providing yourself with an outlet are great ways to reassure yourself that you are a literal angel sent.

೫ ˚ʚ🍥 ੭ Appearance₊˚ ෆ

as I’ve said before feeling good is looking good. a big thing that has helped me with loving myself is making myself look and feel beautiful. being beautiful is about what makes you happy. that could be a different hairstyle, a pedicure, a new lipgloss shade, or even a cute outfit. angels need to take care of themselves & present themselves in the most dolliest way! i love to do my makeup, wear lots of pink, & put on a baddie playlist to feel like THAT girl!

೫ ˚ʚ🍥 ੭ Relationships₊˚ ෆ

angels it’s important to love yourself in every aspect especially in all your relationships. in a lot of my relationships I would allow certain things that shouldn’t be tolerated because of the lack of love for myself. loving yourself in relationships is making sure you keep up with the boundaries you set & respecting yourself. also just because you start forming a relationship with someone doesn’t mean you have to stop forming a relationship with yourself. give yourself princess treatment by taking yourself on dates & loving yourself out loud. it’s as if you’re dating yourself!
