(Petty?) Reasons why Gwen and Miles shouldn’t get together

Gwen tore out his collectible from its packaging. Idk man that was just super rude, like you don’t visit your friend/lie to him about why he can’t join the spidy gang and then you go around his room tearing stuff up?? What if he wanted to open it himself!!

On a similar note as above, she went through his sketchbook without permission. I don’t think their universes are so different that she doesn’t know that that shit isn’t ok.

Why tf didn’t she just tell Miles that the dude dying is a cannon event or something. Like bro wtf, you know that Miguel already hates him so like why make his life more difficult.

Because I find Miles’s repeated doodles of only Gwen in his sketchbook to be kinda creepy.

Also I don’t think I would ever recover from knowing that all my friends knew I was an anomaly and still not telling me anything. Maybe Miles is a bigger person than me so idk.

This is more of a complaint than a reason; why tf did she tell Miles about the secret society when she could just have lied saying that some villain opened up a bloody portal. Like hello first of all you’re slacking off on your job and now you’re making your friend feel left out?

Because I want them to grow as characters ok. Half the reason I think they crush on each other is because they have finally found someone who they can relate to.

I kinda want Miles to go on the dark side 🥰

Probably will add on to this.

Because I think inter dimensional dating will absolutely break them, or at least break some forms of cannon.

I’ve posted like fifteen times today and I’ll shut up after this I’m sorry my thoughts are just running rampant and I can’t sleep. i am tired and have a booming headache, so blame those if this fails to make sense

im also pretty sure I mentioned this in an earlier post today, but my brainrot said it doesn’t care. I was thinking about the giraffe scene that we’ll hopefully get towards the end of the show. That scene, except for the end before they head down, there are no shots of joel looking at Ellie. And we all know how much I love glances (platonic!! In!! Their!! Case!!). He does look at her while she pets the giraffe, and we hear him laugh when she does her “c’mon, c’mon, c’mon!” And his “slow down, kiddo,” but there’s no close ups of it. Which is what im absolutely head over heels for with the live action

Scenes like this, and even ones where he does look at her with that love in his eyes and we get to see Pedro’s interpretation of said scenes (winter embrace, above Jackson on the horses), are what have me really anticipating the show. To see how these scenes are done. To see Joel’s view of her change and grow throughout their time together. To see his smile when he looks at her during the small moments. To get a shot of her petting the giraffe and for the camera to cut to Joel just beaming watching her.

And to see those little extra scenes. Scenes of their nights together on the road. Little conversations, moments of vulnerability, or answering each others questions. Joel taking watch as Ellie sleeps. I just cannot contain myself waiting for these scenes. To see how they’re shot. How they’re acted. How close (or far) they are from canon game. The actor’s takes on the scenes and the emotions that are shown. The stories they’ll tell.

i hope this made sense and is not too repetitive of whatever I talked about earlier bc im pretty sure I mentioned this same stuff within the past two days but I just…my thoughts. they need to go somewhere. I hope you’re all well <3 don’t stay up this late like me
