At the moment I can honestly say it's Haruki Murakami' books I love. The one I'm reading is called "The Wind-up Bird Chronicle". I picked it up so many times but didn't finish it yet. Still I love the way Murakami writes.

hey! I haven't read your work in a while but I did love it so much, and when I see you post it makes me happy. your writing inspired me to take steps towards joining asexual get-together groups in my city, and while I always wimp out and don't attend meetings, I am hoping to once the world is back. I just want that soft, ace sorta love, you know?

Oh!!  I... have never attended a local ace get-together either.  I joined a meetup for one but then didn’t ever go anywhere.  Then 2020 happened and, well.

I wish all the soft ace love in the universe upon you, and also hope you find twenty dollars tomorrow.

Thank you! I’m pretty sure I tried nabbing Shakesqueer as a username when I made this account but it was taken. That’s bullshit you had to change your instagram handle. I’d love to see that tattoo! I’ve been brainstorming Shakespeare-related tattoos for years but haven’t decided on something yet.

Relationship status: single and incredibly conflicted about it.

Favorite color: green. Just about all shades of green. I love a really pale pastel green, a bright celery green, a dark olive green; I just love green.

Three favorite foods: mushroom, spinach, and cheese quesadillas with chipotle sauce; warm, crusty sourdough bread with salty butter, and maybe some honey (frankly, this is my most comforting food. If I'm really sick and not feeling like eating, I can still generally manage some sourdough bread and butter); sugar cookies with royal icing (this is due to my maternal grandfather, who would take me with him to the local bakery all the time, when I was very young, to get doughnuts or kringle for the whole family's breakfast. However, because he very much spoiled me, even that wasn't all. He would also buy me a sugar cookie, topped with royal icing to eat in the car on the way home. In both of our defense, this was a half-hour drive each way. But still, i can't help but feel very comforted whenever I have a sugar cookie with royal icing.)

Last thing I listened to: Willow by Taylor Swift (so, true story, I have a slightly embarrassing, completely unironic love for Taylor Swift's music.)

Last thing I googled: the proper spelling of quesadilla 😳

Dream trip: I'd love to travel internationally period. I've never actually been outside of the US. My anxiety makes travel of any kind pretty difficult. In particular, I'd love to go to Japan someday. I'd also love to visit the Shakespeare and Co bookstore in Paris.

Anything I really want: more bookshelves (always), a weighted blanket, for the US to catch up on humanitarian treatment of people in general, for public libraries to be given the credit they deserve as major pillars of our communities, and for the anxiety screaming in my brain to maybe take things down at least a couple of levels 😅.

1. Warm Up: A book that stretches your mind

A List of Cages by Robin Roe. It deals with some really tough subjects (physical and emotional abuse, primarily), and it was a hard one to get through. I still think about it because it was the first time I’d read about something so horrible in such detail. It scared me, but I loved it for the message and awareness it put out there.

2. Start Line: What’s a book that you started but never finished?

A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E Schwab. I started it, but put it down because it just wasn’t what I was in the mood for at the time. I definitely plan on picking it back up though!

3. Sprint: A book you read really quickly

Been Here All Along by Sandy Hall. I read it when the power went out one day, started it in the morning and finished it by the end of the day. The power still hadn’t come back!!

4. Marathon: What’s your favorite long book?

Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. The whole series is looong, but so worth it!! 

5. Hurdles: What’s a book that had ups and downs?

The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness. The up: interesting premise. The down: terrible execution.

6. Finish Line: A book you were proud to finish

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. I’d avoided it for so long based on nothing, really, so when I finally gave in and read it I was like, whoa.

7. Gold Medal: Best book you’ve read during a readathon

I’ve never participated in any readathons!

8. Participation Ribbon: An underrated book you wish got more attention

Far From The Tree by Robin Benway. It’s so good!!! READ THIS BOOK!!!!!
