Confirmed Pansexuals – Twisted Fate

Twisted Fate was always speculated to be part of the LGBTQ+ community due to his, uh, flamboyancy. The sentiment that he felt something more for Graves was always there, portrayed in their stories through regret, friendship, and loyalty. The Boys and Bombolini color story officially confirmed him as queer, making TFGraves the faces of Pride 2022. This year, he was also seen with the pansexual flag in official pride art, with Riot finally labeling him. It's worth noticing a cute detail (that I doubt was intentional) where his card deck's colors form the colors of his flag!

Confirmed Queers – Ahri, Ekko, Evelynn, Ezreal, Kayn, Nidalee, Renata Glasc, Samira, Taric, Udyr

Ok, this is a long category. Here we have every champion we know for sure is queer, either through external confirmation (Ekko, Ezreal, Kayn, Renata Glasc, Taric), in-game dialogue (Nidalee, Samira, Udyr), or basic lore (Ahri, Evelynn). Let's start with the first group.

Throughout the first half of 2020, Riot released multiple chapters of a Pulsifire color story focused on Ezreal. It explored his relationships with numerous champions of the universe, but especially Ekko. The subtext was strong in this one, and the writer later took to Twitter to talk about how tough it was to have queer stories be censored when working for IPs, not so subtly mentioning Ezreal and Ekko after doing so. Even though Riot might not have agreed with making the Ezko relationship undeniably romantic, their love for one another is still an important part of the story, not to mention that it was the creator's intended vision to begin with.

Renata Glasc was confirmed as sapphic by one of her creators when sharing concept art of her design. Checking the link to the original post, they seem to have deleted the excerpt that mentions it, but people took screenshots before they edited it, most likely because of Riot. Taric, on the other hand, has been speculated to be queer since forever, although the motives are not that pure. Many people saw this hairless, beautiful man that likes jewels and was like, "Huh, that sounds kinda gay," which was the common dudebro mentality of the fandom at the time of his release that caused a lot of homophobia within the player base (more than usual). They weren't wrong, seeing as Riot did include Taric in official 2023 pride art, but he was not seen wearing or holding any flags. After all, it would make sense that he likes everything—and everyone—beautiful. But either way, both Taric and Renata are non-specified queers.

Shieda Kayn is a weirder case. I thought a lot about whether I should even include him in this category at all. There are many accounts of people affirming one of Kayn's writers pictured him as having fluid sexuality, but since then, wherever it was posted, it's gone now. I do believe it since we can still find Reddit threads on the subject, but the original source is nowhere to be found. I still decided to put him here, but take it with a grain of salt.

Moving on to our next category, we have Nidalee, Samira, and Udyr. Samira flirts more than once with Elegant Edge in Legends of Runeterra, and her attraction for her is not subtle. As far as I'm aware, she's never expressed interest in men, but we can't say for sure whether she's bi, pan, or gay. Nidalee and Udyr have had speculated romantic interests in other champions for a while now. Nidalee with Neeko, Udyr with Lee Sin. Nidalee and Neeko's story was first portrayed as one-sided, with Neeko rejected by her friend, prompting them to part ways. On the other hand, the addition of both champions to Legends of Runeterra explored their relationship once again, with the two reuniting and Nidalee finally realizing she did love Neeko and simply didn't know how to deal with it all those years ago. A love song, Shine On, even accompanied the update, which narrates their story beautifully. They have many romantic voice lines now, both in LoR and League.

With Udyr's rework, people started realizing he digs Lee Sin through voice lines expressing how he misses his "old friend" and that he's "loved twice, left twice" (which applies to his relationship with Lee Sin). Besides, his design includes memorabilia he exchanged with Lee Sin when they parted ways. It is also important to mention he's had a wife before, so he swings both ways. I think the context gives more than enough clues for us to safely say Udyr is queer.

Ahri and Evelynn are spirits/demons that prey on their victims (regardless of gender) through charm and seduction. Ahri is essentially a succubus, and Evelynn is the Demon of Agony, with desire and lust being important parts of their characters. It is also worth noting that Evelynn is genderfluid/agender, taking the form of anyone (or anything) that might lure her victims. So their lore essentially confirms them as not straight and not cis (on Evelynn's case, at least).

How they spend valentines with you

Indoor dates; Aphelios, Akali, Senna, Yasuo

They choose to spend their valentines day with you indoors; either because they simply prefer it that way, or just want to spend it alone with you ⎯ away from the eyes of onlookers who are desperate for gossip.

Aphelios and Yasuo are introverts at heart, so being away from people is like a blessing to them both. How they'd choose to spend the day with you depends on the current mood they're feeling, for example: wanting to do something that doesn't require much work like watching a movie is one of the go-to's he'd do for valentines. Or on the more rarer occasions where he's wanting to feel genuine and sincere, he'd take some time off idol work to compose a personal song for you ⎯ one that isn't technically sung by him (most likely asked one of their members to sing in his steed) but can be used for karaoke, or background music during dinner.

Akali and Senna are the same as the other two ⎯ both being introverted but also not really? In the pre-tense of it she simply has a hard time getting along with people but would put up some sort of effort when it comes to you. However on this day, she'd much prefer to spend it alone with you. The list on what you would do with her varies on the basics of what most couples do on this day: movies, snacks, dinner, etc. I feel like in a way, Akali would want to spend valentines like how regular couples would ⎯ setting aside her role as an idol.

Outdoor dates; Kayn, Sett, K'Sante, Evelynn, Kai'Sa, Ekko

Kayn and K'sante are the types who'd want to make this day as memorable as he can for you; spending however much money he can offer to spoil you for the whole day. Though I can only imagine for Kayn he'd chooses to spend his money on bringing you to a concert that both you and him have been waiting to attend, whereas for K'Sante he's the type that'll carry all the bags you've bought and take you to a fancy restaurant to dine in.

^ You can also say this would be something Evelynn would also do for you, in terms of taking you out and spoiling you, then bringing you somewhere fancy. She has the power to do so, so why not use it to her advantage, no? At the end of it all you'd both be sitting in a high view building, watching as the city lights coat the streets before calling it a night with sweet kisses and longing words to each other.

^^ Kai'sa somewhat doing the same as what Kayn did, however, instead of just attending 'a' concert ⎯ she'd be giving you tickets to hers and her group's concert instead (i'm sorry idrk how to write for her)

Sett on the other hand is taking you on a walk. Yes, a walk. Varying between places like parks or a walk down the streets ⎯ to taking you on a hiking trip to the mountains. Of course he isn't gonna force you to keep climbing when you're getting tired, but instead of taking a break by sitting down somewhere, he'd continue the walk with you on his back or shoulders. To him it's a win-win situation: You get to rest for a bit, while he continues to walk and show you the amazing view of the place AND technically speaking, this would count as a workout for him, right? I will say at the end of it all, he'd have at least one or two things prepared when the walk is over (your gift).

Ekko is a man who's lived in the street since he was a kid; dealing with hardships and whatnot through out his life already, he'd hope to at least spend one of these days, this day in particular, where he can spend money on you. That's his wish, and with the amount he earns as a Idol ⎯ well, i guess you can say a part of his wish did come true.

A mix between both; Ezreal, Yone, Ahri, Qiyana

In the case of becoming hit stars, and especially being the fans' faves; Ezreal and Yone's schedule are so packed, they have to plan their valentines day to be both indoors and outdoors. For Yone it'd be indoors > outdoors, starting his valetines indoors first because there were still some things he needed to check over before going outdoors with you to spend the rest of your valentines day with him. Ezreal's valentines, however, started off with an outdoor date in mind but then switched to indoors the moment fans caught sight of him and he had to cancel it all ⎯ making him somewhat depressed for the most part because he tried so hard to make this day perfect for you both, but seeing as it was still a day you can spend together, outdoors or not, he's happy as long as he's with you.

^ The same can be said for Ahri, she has plenty of fans who'd want to talk and take pictures of her when she's outside so the outdoor date she had in mind suddenly turned indoor the moment fans caught wind of her activities.

^ As for Qiyana, it'd be similar to Yone but not exactly ⎯ she'd want to spend the day resting a bit longer in bed with you during the start of the day and then spend the rest outdoors; via going to a club or a bar.

Like, Rell is fucking about in Noxus, Sera's hanging around Piltover + Zaun - they don't know each other! But Rell has that one voice line in game ( "You're cute, Seraphine! ...uh..b..bye!" ) that made people think abt it...Imagining Seraphine singing her songs of Unity between Piltover and Zaun, and Rell the rough and tumble acting as a bodyguard? Oh yeah. Its just really, really, really cute honestly!!

I think i dont need to say much here, but Lucian x Senna! I just. AGH. there are no words honestly. The Dedication. The Devotion. The Paralells, the way it impacts the very world around them. The absolute POWERCOUPLE that is Lucian x Senna cannot be easily defined. I just REALLY love em fdsfdsfsdg Lillia x Yone............. its just. its just so...... Lillia is so sweet and Yone is this super cool badass swordsman and then he's just so nice to her and vows to protect her ??? and im just. AUGH. GOD OK... The idea of Lillia knowing of something like , Love, but not really knowing what it is and having to actually deal with her feelings too is a good image....a good image.... Eep!

Fireworks - Ch. 7

If there hadn’t been a smile on vi’s face, jinx could have sworn she was angry. toned arms crossed over her chest, the elder was looking at her expectantly, tapping her foot to the carpeted floor. it didn’t help that she was flanked by her girlfriend, caitlyn’s piercing eyes making this whole meeting seem more like an investigation than a visit.

‘’a little birdie told me-’’ vi began, only to be promptly cut off by caitlyn.

‘’vander told us that you’ve been caught with a dangerous, outside object yesterday. is that correct?’’

like a little child, jinx jutted her lower lip out and in lieu of an answer, she only looked away. the girl saw no point in them trying to make her confess when she had been properly caught. it seemed more like a formality than the real purpose of their visit and frankly, it spoiled her good mood.

‘’more importantly, you weren’t alone. i reckon her name’s luxanna-’’

‘’you should have told us you have a girlfriend!’’ vi was the one to chime in this time, apparently unable to contain her excitement anymore. her hands were steady on the table as she leant in closer, chair long discarded.

‘’and a princess? damn, sis, and i thought i have expensive tastes.’’she continued. the wink vi sent her girlfriend’s way only earned a scoff and a roll of eyes strategically meant to hide caitlyn’s private smile.

mouth ajar, jinx was scrambling to find an excuse. no, she didn’t need an excuse, she needed the truth. the long pause in her speaking and the crimson of her cheeks didn't help her case, making vi squeal further. she clasped her hands together bringing them to her chest, obviously ecstatic to find that out about her sister.

‘’you’ve got it all wrong! she’s just my roommate-’’

‘’you two share a room?!’’ both vi and jinx turned wide-eyed at the obviously distressed caitlyn who, for the first time in a while, lost her usual composure. her own eyes were blown away and her lipstick stained lips were parting and closing silently.

‘’that is so… s-so improper! it’s way too fast, i’ll make sure to ask vander to move one of you to another room.’’

‘’no, please! please! pretty please with a cherry on top and half a dozen of cupcakes on the side!’’ jinx begged, rubbing her hands together. ‘’ we are only roomies, i swear! friends! i can’t stand this place without her, please don’t take away my lux!’’

‘’my lux?’’ vi inquired, her sisterly smile turning into a full-on devilish grin. without breaking eye contact, her hand felt around until she found the chair again, taking a seat. caitlyn did the same, still not fully comprehending the whole situation.

jinx was starstruck. did she just say ‘my lux’? that had never happened before, she had been careful not to spew nonsense around her other friends and especially not around lux. she leant back against the chair, chewing on one of her hoodie strings.

‘’look, i think i get it. you have a crush and that is perfectly fine.’’ vi began, arms opening as she gestured in the way she did whenever she tried to reassure jinx of the openness and comfort of their conversation. ‘’it’s just that me and cait are concerned. we are a little concerned.’’

that made jinx frown. it wasn’t out of character for them. they frequently worried over the most stupid stuff, such as jinx having too much sugar in her meals or the fabric softener they used in rehab that may make jinx’s skin itch sometimes. this instance though, seemed a little more serious than their usual worries, so she let them continue.

‘’there is nothing wrong with romance, jinx. it would be a little hypocritical of us not to let you date, but you have to take into account that you are here to heal.’’ jinx has seldom seen caitlyn so genuine, so she was taken aback for a brief second before the other resumed her speech.

‘’are you sure you can handle a relationship? you are still pretty vulnerable. we might have managed to flush the shimmer out, but you are still susceptible to a relapse and we don’t-’’

‘’what cait wants to say-’’ vi took over, leaning in. ‘’is that we are not sure if a relationship would be the best thing right now. you know yourself so if you decide that you are ready, we’’ll support you, but you have to think it thoroughly.’’

that was the thing they’ve been meaning to talk about? jinx was confused, lips contorted in a pout. she hadn’t thought of a relationship. well, maybe not seriously for that matter. for there to exist a relationship, lux had to reciprocate feeling, feelings jinx wasn’t sure were even there. she felt as if she was slipping into dangerous territory with this relationship talk, but what her sister pointed out stuck to her mind.

noticing how deep in though jinx seemed, vi took it upon herself to lighten up the situation.

‘’you won’t believe how vander was when he called us! he seemed so worn-out, it was like he had ran a marathon. he says 'champ, you need to come and talk to your sister. she's dirtier than poro and i swear i didn't watch her for fifteen minutes at max.'' by the end of her little anecdote, vi was laughing, holding her stomcah with one hand while she slapped her knee with the other.

caitlyn seemed to share her amusement, covering her smile with one hand as she treid her best not to laugh. jinx wasn't sure if cait found the story or vi's laughter funny. it didn't concern her so she let the two be, hiding her own smile at the memory.

they did end up dirtier than they had expected. nothing too serious, just some sneakers that needed cleaning, but that was just because she was wearing shorts. poor lux had to bring almost all her outfit to the laundry room, her sweat pants' legs almost crusty with all the mud she had gathered.

when they were finally caught and bribed to come inside with the promise of a freshly brewed hot chocolate, they were laughing hyserically despite being wet to the bone. since they were two steps away from hypothermia, vander didn't let them wait for one another to shower so they had to part while they got clean only to come back together half an hour later to listen to vander's scolding while sipping hot chocolate. they couldn't help but exchange looks and whispers throughout, way too entertained for any of them to feel any remorse for their misbehaviour. they were surely going to do it again if presented with the opportunity.

''you seem to really like her, jinx. look at that stupid smile on your face.'' if vi hadn't pointed out how she had been out of it for like three minutes, jinx would have probably kept going, searching for yet another memory she shared with lux, but her sister's words made her snap to reality and nod sheepishly.

vi was right, after all. jinx did like lux.
