Hubs and I pulled two strands of barbless wire on the paddock this morning. We are about to finish off the end points, then hang the three gates that will be in this area.

After I help him, I'm going to start threading the electric line at the top! It's all so close to being done!!

When I was sitting with the goats at twilight (with Twilight at twilight), I noticed the fence wasn't zapping where it his the grass. I pulled out the tester, and it had really low voltage. After a lot of running up the hill, around the house, and into the carport repeatedly (to unplug and replug the fence), I found that the handle I use to connect/disconnect had a short.

To make a long story shorter immediately after I replaced that, something else went (I'm sure because I was testing), and I attempted to fix in the dark but it didn't work. After WAY TOO MUCH running back and forth (in the dark. Did I mention *bears*?) I finally gave up and disconnected the line to goats, so the bees will be safe (goats safe in the barn at night).

I'll try again in the morning, but you can't see the display on the fence tester in daylight. I'll have to judge by the ticking until it's sundown again.

Yay.
