Alright, headcannon time! This time it's about which school the Covenheads attended (Hexside, Glandus, St. Epiderm).
First up, obviously, Darius and Raine attended Hexside, with Raine transferring from St. Epiderm to there.
Now with that out of the way, I present the Covenheads I headcanon to have attended Glandus:
These ones scream of Glandus energy. I mean come on Glandus goes by the "rule of the strong" and these tracks do have powerful magic (as well as potions being versatile) so it tracks IMO.
I also headcanon that Eberwolf attended Glandus however, after he met Darius, he transferred to Hexside (like Raine did for Eda), although it was a bit later.
The covenheads I headcanon to have attended St. Epiderm are:
Like in real life, doctors are a very respected and valued profession, so I figure St. Epiderm, being a more prestigious school that values the track she would attend it.
As for Osran, since the oracle coven is in charge of telecommunications/broadcasting, I think he attended St. Epiderm as it's a valued and important profession in the Boiling Isles.
Then for Adrian, I'm just going to say that he reeks of St. Epiderm energy. Like St. Epiderm is noted to be a more expensive school (with the whole tuition fee thing mentioned in TTBK).
And honestly, he has the energy of a wealthy upbringing (so yeah that checks out).
But if we're talking about track reasons, I also like to HC that St. Epiderm values fine arts which includes the illusion and bard track. (Hence why Raine went to St. Epiderm at first).
Sidenote: I find it entertaining that most people in the fandom can almost collectively agree that Adrian went to St. Epiderm (great minds think alike)
In terms of my reasoning behind each Covenhead attending the schools, I have a headcanon that while Glandus is very competition-based (both literally and figuratively) St. Epiderm is more focused on the more professional tracks, and fine arts (which includes illusions and bard tracks).
This is not to say that Glandus and St. Epiderm do not have the other tracks. I just like to headcanon that they have a bit of a favoritism/ more focus on the professional and competitive tracks respectively.
Then, I also HC that Hexside is a more well-rounded school, with no particular bias towards a track.
So basically, if you want to go into a specific track/coven, you also have to consider which school to attend as it may influence your degree of success.

“You’re in a library, read a book.”
Welcome to the Bonesborough Library’s very own online blog! Here you will find newsletters, interviews, studies and of course - knowledge! Here we wish to make an online interactive community for all who desire to learn & connect with other bookworms of all ages!
For more information, continue below.
As we advance further & further into the Reconstruction Era of the Boiling Isles, there is one important thing we must also reconstruct along with our everyday lives - our history.
50 years of Emperor Belos’ reign has come to an end along with the Coven System, through those 50 years we have seen an unfortunate cutback of funding for historians, schooling, and other educational opportunities & institutions. Not only have we seen heavy budget restricts throughout these 5 decades, but heavy restrictions on knowledge in general.
Using one of the most simplest ways to convey information quickly, we wish to provide insight of the lost history, culture, & magic of the Boiling Isles.
Now, 50 years doesn’t sound like much but do not be fooled, dear reader. For the damage done goes back further than Emperor Belos’ reign - centuries possibly. Therefore, we have a lot of work on our hands!
Join us readers, and you will see our progress in restoring forgotten history as we bring it back to the people. From analysis, theories, artifacts & more - the Boiling Isles Historical Restoration Movement awaits you!
“What else can I find here?”
Fear not, reader! We have plenty to offer! While our main focus is on the Boiling Isles Historical Restoration Movement (BIHRM), we’re also looking forward to the future of the Isles!
The efforts of rebuilding the Isles has gone at a steady pace, even better than expected since we started 4 years ago! An impressive feat, we will be doing monthly interviews with the many, many people at the centre of the Reconstruction Era! Getting a glimpse into what they think & plan, and the current progress of providing a Boiling Isles that will be free and safe for all!
Our team of young journalists known as the Bonesborough Library Junior Journalist Division go all over the Isles covering stories & topics important to today’s readers! They provide us with little snippets of local news and are always looking for more members!
Interested in learning more magic? With the abolishment of the Coven System, we have entered a new age of magic! Affectionately called, “The Free Period,” now is our time to relearn magic & experiment! We know some readers may be afraid of this new change, but fear not! We are working to educate and stop the stigma of covenless & wild magic alike! The times are changing, are you willing to change?
“How can I get involved?”
If you wish to get involved with our volunteer programs and/or events, please visit our front desk!
We’d love to build a community here! Discussions about anything related to the following above are always welcome! Please send us a letter 💌 and we’ll do our best to answer! Readers are more than encouraged to join the conversation! If you have any suggestions or recommendations for what you want to see in our blog, let us know!

this has been on my mind since them's the breaks kid:
are the blights new money?
like, you'd originally assume old money, what with their pride in their family name and "a blight always ___". and the way the adults talk with a kind of posh, almost trans-atlantic accent, which usually comes from receiving fancy voice lessons as a kid
but like
why were they going to hexside, rather than the more expensive st. epiderm, then? i understand it for amity and the twins, because it sounds like it's actually one of the best schools now, under principal bump's care. but it doesn't seem like that was the case back when faust was in charge
and maybe it's just because they didn't wanna live by the knee, or st. epiderm is whatever the boiling isles equivalent of catholic is and they're not into that but also:
why set up their business in bonesborough, rather than in one of the presumably more affluent towns closer to the emperor's castle?
why does alador do all the tinkering himself? usually a larger company, especially if it's been around for a while, will have employees doing most of the work by then. maybe alador just doesn't WANT to go to a more passive CEO role. and maybe mega corporations on the isles might work differently than on earth because of the much smaller population size. but. you'd think they'd have SOME employees. at the very least, a few so they don't need the CHILDREN to give the presentations
no notable blight ancestor is ever even mentioned. like, i get not making the grandparents be characters, but you'd expect one or two lines if they were notable aristocrats
also, come on, look at this thing and tell me it's an actual old castle and and not something that belongs on the "mcmansion hell" blog:
of course, half of these have plot convenience explanations, but not all of them. plus, just because something has a doylist reason, doesn't mean it can't also have a watsonian one.
but yeah, if they're new money... do the blight parents have an inferiority complex? is that why they're so obsessed with forcing their kids to conform to their image? why they care so much about building their family name? heck, did odalia and alador force themselves to adopt that posh accent to try and look higher class/old money?
plus, it kinda builds on how in their initial appearance in understanding willow; through amity's abstracted memories, alador and odalia came across as old-fashioned aristocrats. but in their actual first appearance in escaping expulsion, they looked very... not like that. the image they forced the world + their children to believe, coming into contrast with their reality.
