As a kid my family used to make fun of me for stuff that is apparently exclusively reserved for “old people” like rolling across the room in a rolly chair to grab something (instead of getting up and taking three steps) or sitting down at a table to do quick food prep like cut fruit or scramble an egg (instead of just standing at the counter for 90 seconds) TURNS OUT what they called laziness was just disability all along haha TURNS OUT I just needed a mobility aid yet here I am today still without one because they gaslit me into believing I was “just lazy” and it took me decades to finally understand that’s not true. haha who knew

Do you remember that insane Bergy and Marchy interview from last year, which among many other things, featured this exchange?
Anyway I was going thru my bergy tag last night when I came across this other article snippet from 2019
THIS IS THE BASEMENT MARCHY WANTS TO MOVE INTO

Fadi, who has a son named Osaid who urgently needs treatment, is trying to raise $15k to evacuate him and his family so that they can accompany his child for treatment. on twitter, 41k people viewed his regional post and, as he tweeted, “imagine if each of those 41k gave even $1.”
i’m going to need everyone to lock in seriously- people in gaza need INTERACTION with their campaigns. do not do the bystander effect “i’ll share and someone else will probably donate”. if you’re in the position to donate, even $20, PLEASE DO SO. if everyone shares and not a lot of people donate, where is the money going to come from? Campaigns are a LAST RESORT for people in gaza, many have said time & time again they’d rather not but they HAVE NO CHOICE because their source of income has been destroyed and “normal” society has COLLAPSED. please donate if you know you’re able to. do for them as you would want if it was you.

THE PRINCE DIARIES ♚
22 MARCH 2023 || Day 1 Poland Visit - Ukraine Refugee Accommodation Centre, Warsaw
The Prince of Wales paid a visit to a refugee accommodation centre in the Mokotow district of Warsaw on his first day while visiting Poland.
The centre is at the frontline of the humanitarian crisis and houses around 300 Ukrainian women and children.
It provides residents with two meals per day, while also offering a range of other services including Polish language lessons, a children's play area and psychological support.
He met and spoke to Kevin J. Allen, the Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Poland at the centre.
Then, William along with the Mayor of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski visited Natallia Viodarchuk, an Ukrainian resident and heard about her experiences of moving to Poland.
During the visit he spent time listening to the refugees tell their stories about leaving their home and making the trip to Poland. He was happily chatting with children and their carers as played peek-a-boo with a four-year-old Tympthi and engaging at a craft table with other youngsters.
William also met with a young Ukrainian boy named Marco, who spoke to him about his experiences of moving to Poland.
During his visit, William also took part in a doubles table tennis game.

Well, I actually don't expect something like that, but I'm still satisfied to see a glimpse of jealousy from someone there...
However, it's nice to see the (unexpected) interaction between Anya and Ewen here.
Oh, and the illustration of the Forgers being the astronauts who interacted with the aliens is just too funny 🤣
