Happy New Year everyone and welcome to the long awaited return announcement, which includes our dates for H/D Wireless 2024!
Prompting opens: Sunday, January 14th
Claiming opens: Sunday, February 4th
Submissions due: Friday, June 14th
Posting starts: Monday, July 1st
Prompting will close on Saturday January 27th OR when we reach 300 prompts, whichever comes first.
There will be a limit of 10 prompts per person. We trust our prompters to abide by this rule, whether prompting with their name, or anonymously.
Self prompts will be allowed once claiming opens. Don't forget to check the list of prompts as your chosen song may have been prompted already!

Summary: The repeated and sustained Crucios used on Draco during the war have caused him permanent nerve damage. He suffers from chronic pain, temporary occasional loss of sensation in parts of his body, poor circulation, trembling and shaky hands, etc.
Harry gets assigned as Draco's probation auror, they start off where they had left in school, but Draco has changed and so has he. They need to grow together these next few months to see what had been missing in their school years.
P.S. The way I talk about chronic pain in this is from personal experience. Not all of us experience the same thing. I assume those who suffer along with me know that, but for those who don’t/those without a chronic “issue”: please remember your experiences/ideas of what it’s “really” like are not universal. Be nice, thanks.

◭ By popular demand, we present our very first fan fest chosen by the fandom itself: The 2023 Torchwood Rarepair Fest! ◮
The people have spoken and we have listened. Here is your choice, the majority vote: the 2023 Torchwood Rarepair Fest!
The theme this time is any and all rare pairings!
This means any pairings other than the most common ones: Jack/Ianto, Tosh/Owen and Gwen/Rhys.
Pairings that appeared in canon outside these three are included, such as Tosh/Mary, Ianto/Lisa or Gwen/Owen, to name a few. Poly ships that include any of the three most common pairings are also accepted and encouraged! For example: Jack/Ianto/Gwen, Tosh dating both Owen and Tommy, an all-team polycule where each of them is involved with one or more of the others but they’re not all together, or a polycule where they all are together, all fall under rarepairs!
We are thrilled to let you guys know that we will be collabing with the fantastic @thetorchwoodarchive for this fest!
The Torchwood Archive’s mods reached out to us with the brilliant proposal that we collaborate on this fest, and we were very excited to accept! They will be making a Rarepair Fic Rec List to right alongside our fest, so be sure to keep your eyes open for that! 👀✨
This fest will run from February 26th to April 14th 2023!
This fest doesn’t require signing up. All you have to do is create a fanwork with a rarepair (or more than one :)) and submit it to us at any point up to April 14th 2023. (Please remember to add any relevant content warnings!)
We don’t have a prompt list this time as the theme is pretty straightforward. Any fanwork that includes a rarepair will do!
All types of fanworks are accepted for this fest, with the usual requirements: the minimum word count for writing is 500 words (fic, meta, not!fic, and headcanons; poetry is exempt from this requirement), 30 seconds is the minimum length for videos, and 3-songs plus a short explanation for why you picked each song is the minimum for music playlists. If you have an idea for a fanwork that seems unconventional or less common, send us an ask! We welcome all types of content for this fest and we will be happy to hear from you :)
As usual, we’ll have an ao3 collection for this fest.

Rules & FAQ
What is the minimum length requirement for fic?
All fic entries must be at least 500 words in length. There is no maximum word count.
Do I have to use a fic beta?
Although it is preferred, betas are not required this year. The mods will skim through all fic and let you know if there are any issues.
Do I have to use an art beta?
No.
What ratings are allowed?
Anything from G to NC-17 is allowed.
Are threesomes/moresomes allowed?
Yes. As long as Sirius is the main attraction in the cuddle puddle you can have him canoodling with as many people as you think he can handle.
Are all genres allowed?
Yes. We’re interested in everything from the darkest of dark fics to the fluffiest of kid!fics and everything in between.
I like more than one prompt, may I claim more than one?
The more the merrier! However, we do require you to finish your first prompt before claiming a second.
How many times may a prompt be claimed?
There’s no limit. Each prompt can be claimed more than once. We will not mark the prompts claimed - they’ll be up for grabs as you go.
Can I claim my own prompt?
Absolutely!
How many prompts can I submit?
As many as you can come up with. Go wild! A large and varied selection of prompts is never a bad thing.
Can I submit a prompt(s) even if I’m not going to write or draw for the fest?
Yes please! As stated, we are looking to have a wide variety of prompts for our authors and artists to choose from.
Can I claim a prompt even if I haven’t submitted one?
By all means, there should be more than enough prompts to go around.
May I submit a story which is part of an existing series or a WIP?
No. There should be no WIPs. When you submit the story, it needs to be complete. (Whatever your version of complete is). After the fest is over, if you decide to write more chapters or a sequel, that’s up to you. Please wait until the fest is over.
Are crossovers and fusions allowed?
Yes, so long as Sirius is the main character and remains recognizable as himself anything goes.
Are non-magical AUs allowed?
Sure! You can have Sirius doing anything from working in the local coffee shop to running away to join the circus. As long as that barista or expert sword swallower remains recognizable as Sirius Black it’s all good.
Are collaborations allowed?
Yes!
I finished my entry early. May I submit it early?
After you have finished your fic/art, you can upload it on the ao3 collection yourself (the link will be provided to you when you sign up), and then email the mods the header (filled out). If you do not know how to upload on ao3, you can request a tutorial, or you can email us the story/art, and we’ll do it for you. If you do not have an ao3 account and want one, let us know. Once you have submitted the first entry, you can fill out the claim form again, with requesting the second entry.
Will you grant extensions?
Of course! We realize RL (that’s real life, not Remus Lupin, although he may occasionally get in the way too) gets in the way of the best of intentions, so if you find you need an extension, or even think you may need an extension, please e-mail us.
I need to drop out. What do I do?
As with extensions, we realize things come up and sometimes you just can’t get an entry done. That’s life. If you find yourself in this position, just e-mail us at [email protected] as soon as possible; no harm, no foul. However, participants who do not inform us in due time of their intention to drop out may not be allowed to participate in future fests.
All fic/art will be posted on ao3, and the header for the entries will be on lj, dw, and tumblr.

Announcement for the Bloody Kisses Fest 2023
With spooky season coming to a close, we proudly announce the return of the Bloody Kisses Fest! Ready your fangs, artists and writers, because we’re back for another vampire Tomarry round.
The Bloody Kisses Fest is a Tomarrymort (Tomarry or Harrymort, whichever you prefer!) fest spanning November 2022 to April/May 2023!
The criteria for this fest is to create a piece of media (whether that be fic or art, or anything that falls under that category, such as podfics or moodboards) that contains both Tomarrymort and a vampiric element to it.
First up: the changes for this year!
Starting prompting half a month earlier, to push the schedule early enough to hopefully avoid exam season and thus unfinished fics/art.
Introducing two new mods! Welcome mods Nero and Atta to the blog!
When asking about email checkups, we got a 50/50 split on whether that was okay, so we decided to send in one email to check in on people with a month left until the end of submissions.
There will be a fixed date for when claiming ends, leaving a week solely for submissions.
There will be a schedule posted as to when each fic will be revealed (titles only)! Times during the day may vary depending on which mod is revealing, but should they forget to reveal, another mod can step in to ensure it is posted on the correct date. This can fix the inconsistent posting from last year. This will either be once every two days or once a day.
Extensions will be arranged in order to prevent gaps in posting and each extension will be noted on the schedule.
The author reveal date will be announced at the beginning of posting.
The email for the fest is now [email protected] to avoid the issue with Yahoo last year.
Next: the schedule!
Prompting: November 15th - January 10th
Claiming: January 11th - April 20th
Submissions: Open anytime from January 11th, but the final due date is April 30th.
Posting: To be decided after submissions are due in, but early May.

2022 Snarry AUctoberfest Announcement
It's that time of year again for the Snarry AUctoberfest!
This fest is an anonymous, prompt-based fest focusing on Harry Potter/Severus Snape in an AU setting. We accept art, fanfics, and podfics. (Or any combinations of the three!) It is hosted by the House of Snarry Discord Server.
You do not need to be in the server to prompt, claim and/or participate in the fest. (But we will be glad to have you! <3 )

🦇 The Torchwood Fan Fests HALLOWEEN FEST is back! 🦇
October has arrived, a date which marks the return of the spookiest of all our fests. Back from its unholy rest, having clawed it way out of its own grave, is the one, the only, the newly undead Halloween Fest!
Starting today, October 1st, and until November 6th we will be doing the 2022 edition of our Halloween Fest 🎃
This fest doesn’t require signing up! All you have to do is create a halloween-themed fanwork and submit it to us at any point up to November 6th 2022. (Please remember to add any relevant content warnings!)
We are providing 20 optional prompts for this fest. We provide these prompts with the intention of helping creators by hopefully sparking some interesting ideas; however, we will not require that submissions fit into one of them, so long as they fit the general theme of Halloween. You can take them or leave them!
The prompts are: 1) horror classics, 2) myths and fairytales, 3) halloween traditions, 4) creature feature, 5) witches, 6) cryptids, 7) body horror, 8) cursed objects, 9) precognition, 10) scary settings, 11) haunted, 12) undead, 13) existential horror, 14) spooky classics, 15) doppelgangers, 16) taken by the rift, 17) possession, 18) nightmare, 19) dark wonderland/freakshow, and 20) trapped/hunted.
