The next time jason hangs with molly he tells her about tim and how much it was to have him around and how good it felt to spar with him and how much he missed having peiple close by minus the fucking titans melodrama. And how much he hopes tim is happy where he is. Not gonna lie, i had a thought about the sibling au and it won’t leave my mind. Like imagine for a sec if childe ever met with diluc and kaeya (because the idea of original vs found family makes me feel emotional) like reader either a) runs to childe after the mondstat conflict again emotionally drained or hurt (doesn’t matter in particular) and childe is ready to go to mondstat to raise hell or b) childe and the reader see diluc and kaeya and the reader just clings to childe and calls him their big brother (i just keep imagining childe being smug as hell about it) and watching diluc and kaeya pale as the one of the fatui harbingers took their spot as big brothers and they don’t have a good argument to say how they are better brothers

Childe raising hell for adopted younger sibling is clearly canon. He'd stop at nothing to make them feel better, whether it takes money, comfort food cooked by none other than himself, or some extra violence while they're not looking.

I'm sure he'd take up the role of guardian devil angel as soon as he sees them covered in mud and trembling in Dottore's coat like a lost puppy, but when he finds out about their past? He's not "paying a visit" to Mond only because they begged him to let it be. He's livid, whoever treats their loved ones like this is not family.

So, instead of doing his own justice, Childe focuses on giving reader everything they had lost. Asks for their custody (would fistfight a horde of Dottore clones if needed), helps them become stronger and confident, but most importantly tries to keep them as far as possible from Mondstadt until they're ready to go back.

If they end up there because of a mission he can't change, he'll be both anxious cause duh, they're not completely ready on a psychological level, but also kind of thrilled to see if they'll make use of his teachings and yeah, take some good revenge.

And if he's assigned to that mission as well? F for Diluc and Kaeya cause he's about to destroy them with a mere easygoing smile and some passive aggressive words. "Oh, so you're y/n's old brothers? I've heard a lot about you two. Whether it was good or bad things is up to your conscience imagination ahah."

He'll keep a protective arm around your shoulders, tightening the grip as he notices Diluc borderline having and aneurysm, and go on nonchalantly "Well, we'll go now, promised my little sibling here a good meal after this long journey."

I don't care what anyone says, you will never convince me that Izzy "The Spewer" Hands is a competent pirate.

Sure, he can fight, and that's important, but the man is spending so much time worrying about his reputation and the myth of Blackbeard he can't even win a duel against Stede fucking Bonnet.

He's been in charge of a ship twice in the show. During the first time, as retold by Fang, they entered choppy seas and he threw up. The second time, he didn't last a day before he was mutinied.

His idea of defeating 3 Spanish war ships was to fight and kill anyone who refused, a command so stupid it feels like he was waiting for Edward to come up with a better plan. When Edward returned and he had to take charge in his absence, Izzy just barked orders at the crew, acting as if there aren't always periods of time on a tall ship where nothing much happens. It's all about how he looks. The crew can't be seen having a break, no, they need to swab the deck a third time for no fucking reason.

Twice he fought Stede and both times he lost because all he can do is sword fight. He claims Stede played unfairly or was unprofessional but by whose rules? They're pirates for fucks sake. Maybe, as Edward says, if he put some fucking imagination into it, he might have won.

He was also constantly lying to Edward about Stede before they met and about how he looks after the crew because Edward is too 'irratic' to do so. He can't be trusted as a first mate and he doesn't have the respect of the crew of either ship. If Edward had left Izzy in charge of the Queen Anne's Revenge I guarantee they wouldn't have waited an hour before they threw him overboard.

So I don't know where this impression comes from that he is actually good at what he does, but I think people are giving him far too much credit.

Ya know when people told me "when you're finally safe enough that you can leave survival mode and start to let go of and process your c-ptsd/trauma things are probably going to get really, really bad before they slowly start to get better" I thought that was reasonable.
