Why should you approach CPA firms in Florida for your business
Tumblr media
CPA firms are companies that specialize in providing accounting services. They audit and prepare financial statements for companies and other entities. There are several different types of CPAs, but the most common is the certified public accountant (CPA).
Clients hire CPAs to help them make informed decisions about their business operations.
They often perform tax audits and prepare financial documents for businesses, as well as handle payroll, bookkeeping, and other tasks related to running a business. Here, we discuss why you need CPAs for your business:
1. Manage Your Money
Many people avoid dealing with their finances on a day-to-day basis. They would rather leave this to the accountants, which is why so few people know how to manage their money properly.
The accountant will ask you questions about your business and then give you advice on whether you should spend or save. The role of the CPA is to help you understand your finances on a global scale to make better-informed decisions about your personal spending. After all, you can't manage what you don't know.
2. Interpret Financial Statements
Financial reports are complicated enough in and of themselves, but when you add in all of the fancy financial terms and formulas, it can become extremely difficult for the average person to understand fully.
The role of the CPA is to help you interpret the financial reports that your business generates and to provide you with an understandable overview of how your company is performing financially. In doing so, the CPA firms in Florida can also point out any issues that you may have concerning your business's financial health.
3. Evaluation Of Your Business' Risk
To protect yourself from financial risk, you need to identify it. To do this, you need to understand your business' risk level. Some businesses are highly risky and can have a high potential for loss, while others are low risk and are more suitable for those who want to make a quick profit.
When assessing your business' risk level, the CPA firms in Florida will review your operations and put together a detailed report highlighting the most significant risks your company faces. Once you have this report, you can determine whether you want to continue pursuing a particular line of business.
4. Estimate The Overall Cost Of An Investment
When deciding whether or not to invest in something, the first thing you should do is look at the estimated cost.
As a business owner, you need to have all the information at your fingertips concerning the cost of starting your company.
This includes the cost of the equipment needed (such as a printer or computer), the salary of the first employees, legal fees, and supplies (such as office furniture or stationery).
Without this information, you cannot accurately estimate the overall cost of starting a business. Having a CPA look at your books and prepare a detailed report will assist you in making the right decision about whether or not to invest in your business.
5. Proposal For Improving Your Business' Financial Health
If your company is performing well and generating a decent amount of revenue, the next step is determining how you can make it even more profitable. In the world of business, revenue means everything.
The more you make, the more you can spend on expansion, new products, and marketing.
When it comes to improving your business's financial health, the CPA will look at your current operations and develop a proposal for making your company more profitable.
This may sometimes mean taking a different route to deliver your products or services to the market or scaling back on some of your business's more expensive expenditures (such as advertising or pricey legal settlements).
Whatever it may be, the CPA firms in Georgia will devise a plan that makes your company more money-friendly.
To summarize, the CPA firms in Georgia can help you manage your money, interpret financial reports, evaluate your business' risk, and give you a proposal for improving your business's financial health.
Additionally, CPAs are often the ones preparing the books for publicly traded companies, so if you are looking for an accountant for a company you already have, you may want to consider an alternative.

Hi Neil!
I don't want to sound like a killjoy, but I'm concerned about David Tennant's family being involved in the second season of Good Omens (or Michael Sheen's partner Anna Lundberg in a future season three). I absolutely have nothing against them, I loved Staged just like everyone else, but this is exactly the matter for me: casting them in the series would automatically make me think about Staged or something else while I'm watching GO, and it would distract me from the plot and the magic of it. It would feel somehow like a family reunion, no matter how talented they are as actors (not to mention that there would be nepotism accusations, above all against David. I hope this won't affect the popularity rating, since season three is still hypothetical). I'm not the only one who thinks this might be an issue, from what I read on blogs here on Tumblr (and on the Internet in general) but I feel like there's a sort of tension, like people are scared to say it out loud, because some fans get the wrong idea and accuse them of hating Georgia or Anna or Ty (and that's why I'm asking this anonymously, I don't want to start a fight). I hope you get what I'm saying, it only felt fair to me to let you know whatever concerns some fans might have, and maybe even give you a perspective you weren't considering? Of course you have the last word on this, and if you think this is not a big deal, I trust your judgement.
I wish you a fantastic day! (And sorry for my English, I'm not native, I tried my best!)
Yeah. So, I find that a little creepy, not very creepy, but definitely a bit.
I thought we were lucky to get Peter Davison in Good Omens 2. (He didn't audition. We offered him the part, as I've been a fan of his since 1978, and All Creatures Great and Small. He crushes it, and is heartbreaking, funny, and still somehow the moral compass of the episode he's in.) Ty Tennant auditioned, along with a number of other actors, and got the part because he did it best. (I didn't know who his family was when we cast him. I just liked the audition tape.)
If you're hunting down family connections, David's mother-in-law, Ty's grandmother, Sandra Dickinson, is in the Audible Sandman, too, as one of the Three Witches/Fates/Eumenides etc. And she was cast in it two years before David Tennant (although probably around the same time Michael Sheen was asked to be Lucifer). (I've been a fan of Sandra's since she was Trillian in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy in 1981.)
Anyway, I'm sorry you're worried about Peter and Ty's performances, although I promise you have nothing to worry about, and I'm sorry that you worry that our possibly casting Georgia and Anna in a hypothetical and not-yet actually a real thing Season 3 might make people think of Staged and make them not able to enjoy Good Omens any longer. (Had I known people were this easily shaken I wouldn't have appeared in Staged either, in case my name at the front of Good Omens shattered the fragile illusion and revealed to people that the David Tennant and Michael Sheen who play Crowley and Aziraphale are actors.)
Starting in 2017 I was the recipient of mind-mangling quantities of Tumblr abuse for casting David Tennant and Michael Sheen as Aziraphale and Crowley, which was, many people made very clear to me, the worst casting in the whole entire utter history of casting, and something that Good Omens would never recover from, because for a start neither of them looked like the versions in people's heads, and I'd also miscast them badly because everyone knew that if you had to cast Sheen and Tennant, Michael had to play Crowley and David had to put on some weight and play Aziraphale. (It wasn't until May 2019 that people stopped grumbling.) So people worrying I'm going to cast Anna and Georgia in a season that hasn't even been commissioned in parts that haven't been written just makes me smile.
I hope this helps.

having a well-known acting career and appearing in TV series such as Vampire Diaries, Stranger Things, and Ginny and Georgia, I've had my fair share of romantic relationships and crushes on coworkers.
I have had both positive and negative emotions from every person I have dated. Nonetheless I still have a lot of my partners as friends, though.
When I got casted on outerbanks, I was already working on a project which required all of my time in another state in a whole ,leading to me having to decline the role.
After finishing said project , and sulking over not excepting the offer i got a call from my agent telling me that I was getting handed a role,a really good one .No audition needed. As the love interest of a rich playboy (wonder who that is).

“What exactly is the show again?…” I asked annoyed that I was being disturbed from my beauty sleep.
“Firstly I never told you aaand secondly it’s for.. outerbanks!”
What.
The show I declined? The show that made me regret doing my previous project instead of it? The show where my college crush- AHEM. right where was I

“Uhhh yeah sorry. You can call back and say yes”

As soon as I walked into the venue of the party the only that came to mind was my insecurities. Would Drew ever like someone like me? Someone who isn’t as pretty as his ex’s?
Instead of overthinking maybe I should just drink it away .yeah that sounds goo-
“Y/N!”
God what is with people and interrupting me today?! I turned around and looked around not seeing anyone who seemed to be calling my name
“Over here!” I turned a bit to the right and saw
Drew.
Oh my. No no no. I’m not ready yet I was still in the middle of overthinking.
He came running up to me with the cutest grin on his face “hey.” He said out of breath “hi Drew” I responded while looking down because I could feel the blood rushing up.
“You- uh you look beautiful ” he stuttered out after actually taking a good look at my dress. If I wasn’t blushing earlier I sure am now.
“You don’t look half-bad yourself starkey” I giggled out trying to regain my confidence.
I couldn’t help but notice the small blush spread across his face after hearing my comment. God that’s so embarrassing, why did I even say that.
“DREW MY MAN!” I hear non other than Rudy come up. Rudy was nice , I saw him as my best friend, like a brother, Rudy and I were two pods in a pea, me and him grew up together in Atlanta and only moved apart because of high school, we still often texted and chatted but it never felt the same as being with him in person
“RUDY!” I squealed
“Y/n!” He rushed into my arms and pulled me into his into his tight embrace “oh my god , I missed you so much”
He chuckled “I missed you too n/n” he pulled back “look at you, miss hell on wheels”
“You guys know eachother?” Drew asked “yeah, me and Rudy grew up together” I responded Rudy agreeing with me “oh okay..”
“So um let’s head inside?”
———————————————————————
It was currently 1:25 am and observing how everyone was almost knocked out , except for jd and me obviously, who else was going to take care of them?
“I’ll order a Uber for Rudy and Elaine , you should stay with drew, the girls and me , it’s not a problem” JD offered
“Yeah That’d be great , thank you jd” he nodded
Now , the biggest challenge of all, getting them back to the apartment. Sigh, why am I even here.
“Drew come on , let’s go”
“Ughnnn, no I don’t wanna” he wrapped his arms around my waist and stared into my eyes
“Drew-” he put his head into the crook of my neck. God I can feel his breath. It’s okay , just get him back to the apartment and done
“Y/n Come on let’s go!” JD honked from the car
“Come on drew” I practically dragged him out, but what surprised me that he didn’t let go. “Drew let go”
“Nghhhh” he somehow just cuddled in deeper to me
This is going to be a long night.
———————————————————————
Having to drag this 80kg man down a hallway into a bed is like doing bodybuilding.
“Come on Drew go to bed”
“Don’t leaveeeee” he whined
I sighed out of frustration, “okay cmon big boy let’s go to bed” I stepped into bed and stayed on my side of the bed, not wanting it to be awkward.
He tried wrapping his arms around me “heyyy, come closer”
“Drew what has gotten into you” I mumbled, as he wrapped his arms around my waist and stuffed his head into the crook of my neck like earlier today
“You know drew im so gonna make fun o-”
“Do you and Rudy have something going on” he spoke clearly for the first time that night.
WHAT?!
“What are you on about drew.” He still waited for a response “no!” He sighed like he was holding his breath and leaned back into my shoulder.
“I love you” his voice came muffled but , I knew what he said, if it wasn’t so dark , he would’ve seen how red I’d become just from that one comment
“Drew come on your drunk-”
He lifted his head “I mean it.”
Oh my god. Is the world spinning? I can’t breathe!. Okay , no calm, he’s drunk he doesn’t mean it. Your okay yea-
Suddenly I felt lips on mine, it took me a moment to realise what was happening and I kissed back. no this is wrong, I pulled away
“Drew we can’t do this.. not again”
“Y/n , I know you feel it, please.”
I paused thinking of what to say , hearing him plead with his puppy eyes under the moonlight was intoxicating
“Drew your drunk, I won’t do anything, until I know you mean it”
Drew didn’t respond, he slowly made a Noice of confirmation and understood where I was coming from and put his head back down to its original position.
I knew he wasn’t sleeping but it was peaceful knowing we were just lying there. I felt my eyes get heavy but before I let slumber take me I said
“Hey drew..”
“Hmm”
“Tell me that again tomorrow”
I felt him smile against my neck and muzzle into me more
“Ofcourse”
———————————————————————-
The next morning , i woke up with Drew still having his arms wrapped around me and a particular instagram post that made me actually realised what was happening

“Something About Her”
Word Count: 7.1k
(Part one of “Georgia”)
🍑•🍑•🍑
Fortune. The infamous gentlemen's club that had been around since the late fifties. Why was it called Fortune, you might ask? Their slogan - "Because that's what our girls are worth". All the men who went there have a significant amount of money, and most are married, but you'd never hear them talk about their wives. They'd slip off their rings before heading inside the club, and they'd slip it back on once they walked back through the front door of their homes. The one thing about Fortune though, mostly all the men treated the girls with respect. There had only been a handful of times throughout the years that men had to be removed from the club due to misconduct with one of the dancers.
The dancers there all have a stage name that is related to them in some way. In the current lineup there was Sapphire - with the piercing blue eyes, Ruby - with the fiery red hair, London - with the posh British accent, and Vixen - who had inked artwork covering most of her skin. This was just naming a few of the beautiful women that adorned the stage.
And then there was Georgia.
Georgia had been at Fortune for a little over six years now, having started there when she moved to California when she was twenty-one. She had grown up with her grandparents, never actually knowing who her real parents were, and she didn't ever care to. Her heart was full with the love her grandparents gave her. They were all she needed.
Her grandfather passed away shortly after she graduated highschool, and it became apparent that her grandmother's health began to slowly decline. Due to this, Georgia forwent college, and spent all of her time taking care of her until her passing.
It ruined her when she lost her grandmother, and for the first time in her life, she felt completely alone. She decided there was nothing really left for her in her hometown since she had lost most of her friends when she took over as her grandmother's caregiver. That never bothered her at the time though because her grandmother was everything to her, but once she was gone it made her feel so lost.
That's when she made the decision to move to California to start over. She didn't really have much of a plan, but she had received a hefty amount of money from her grandmother's will, so she had plenty of time to get things figured out before she was low on funds.
It was when she was driving to her new apartment that she saw a billboard for Fortune, and she immediately became curious. Once she was settled, she decided that she'd check out the club for herself one night, but she wasn't going to express any interest in becoming a dancer until she felt the place out completely.
Once she was there, she saw how fancy the place was, and she saw that none of the dancers had to take off their clothes while on stage - not that she would have minded. She'd always been confident in her body, but knowing that it truly was just dancing in front of everyone like that made her even more eager to maybe join the lineup.
She went to Fortune two more times after that, and on her third visit was when she asked to speak to the owner, Cass. He was more than eager to set up a proper audition for her when she explained she had dance experience - having danced professionally from the time she was five until she graduated highschool. She had still danced casually in her living room or her bedroom over the last three years, but she would be more than ecstatic to actually be on a stage again.
After speaking with Cass, Georgia had gone out and purchased herself a highly expensive set of lingerie, one in a soft blue color that made her look so delicate, but also accentuated her fuller breasts and the roundness of her plump ass.
Georgia went into the audition with three numbers choreographed, but Cass offered her a job after the first one. He had approached her on the stage once she agreed, pursing his lips a bit as he looked over her lingerie.
"I like this style, but I'm having a vision of peach being your color instead of baby blue, how does that sound?" Cass asked, tilting his head to the side. "Every girl here has a name given to them for a trait they possess. I'm thinking Georgia for you."
Georgia's eyebrows had raised at that, but she was comfortable with it, even after hearing why he wanted to call her that.
When Georgia was on board, Cass smirked softly, giving her cheek a little pinch. "You're going to be our little southern belle."
Cass was a middle-aged man who was handsome for his age, and one thing about him was that he looked out for his girls. Georgia felt cared by him from the beginning, and she truly believed he always had her best interest at heart.
It wasn't until after a year of working at Fortune that Cass approached her about maybe doing some dances in the backrooms. Georgia knew that there were a few girls who did that, and she wasn't opposed to it, but she had never given it much thought. He explained that she wouldn't have to strip down in there like the others did, but if she wanted to that she could.
After the first few times, and especially if it was a man who had been in the room with her a time or two before, Georgia would strip for them. There was obviously no touching allowed so she didn't have to worry about someone doing something inappropriate.
There ended up being whispers of Cass potentially buying the hotel next door to the club, and the rumors were that a couple of the rooms there were going to be kept specifically for men who wanted to buy one of the girls out for the night. The official announcement of this plan came out a few weeks after the rumors had started, and Cass made it very clear that if anyone was uncomfortable with this addition that they did not have to participate. They could just keep to the stage and the backrooms.
Georgia herself hadn't been approached by Cass with any potential men until about two years after the hotel had been opened. She had never really made it known that she was interested, so Cass hadn't bothered her with it. The only reason he decided to approach her for this particular gentleman was because it was one she had danced for in the backrooms several times. She had always told Cass that he made her feel comfortable, and that he was polite, so he wanted to run the proposition by her before making any arrangements.
She was nervous at first, but that was mainly because she had developed a crush on this man. He was so gentle with her, and she had allowed him to put his hands on her a few times when she would dance for him. It was never overtly sexual, but his touch ended up being a comfort for her.
The first time they slept together in the hotel room, it was passionate, and heated. Her feelings grew tenfold, and she even ended up revealing her name to him that night when they were tangled in the sheets after their third round together. It was then that she thought he had those same feelings as her when he promised that one day he wanted to take her out, and to go on a real date with her - maybe even have a relationship.
All of that came crashing down the second time he booked her for the hotel room. They had just gotten through having sex, and while they were cuddled up and sharing a cigarette propped up against pillows, his phone rang. When he lifted the device off the nightstand, she saw the contact picture that came up, and it was one of him and a woman - clearly from their wedding day.
Her heart was shattered, and when she asked him about it, he made her feel incredibly stupid. He asked if she really thought he meant all those things that he told her, and with her answer being 'yes', he made it clear that the only reason he spoke to her like that was because he thought it would earn him more from her in the bedroom.
After that, Georgia promised herself she'd never have feelings for a man that paid for her ever again. She didn't mind sleeping with the men going forward, everything was consensual, and most of the time rather enjoyable, but she always made sure to keep her emotions at bay.
It was now a Saturday night at Fortune, and business was booming as usual. The floor was filled with men dressed in their nice suits - some of them having one of the girls from the stage in their laps as they smoked a cigar and drank their whiskey. Sapphire was just finishing up her set while Georgia finished freshening up backstage. This was going to be her second set of the night, and then she'd be open for backroom dances afterwards.
As she fluffed her hair in the mirror, she heard the applause from the crowd - signaling that Sapphire's set was now complete. Standing up after applying a fresh layer of clear lip gloss, she tightened the tie of her robe while making her way towards the steps that lead to the stage. Her strappy heels clicked against the floor as she walked, and once she reached the steps, she wrapped her hand around the railing.
Sapphire passed by her with a large smile, tying her own robe back onto her body completely. "There's even more out there now than there were earlier. I think we're going to have an even better night than we expected."
Georgia smirked softly at the words. "Music to my ears, Saph."
The way money worked at Fortune was a little different than other clubs. At each table that was reserved, there were buckets for each of the girls that the men would put money into during the night - obviously as payment for their sets. If the parties at that table ended up switching out, those buckets would be emptied into the labeled buckets backstage, and then they'd be set out for the next group. The girls would then collect their money from their main buckets at the end of the night.
The money here had only gotten better for Georgia overtime. She lived in a very luxurious apartment, and was pretty much able to buy herself whatever she wanted whenever she felt like treating herself. The best part? She still had almost all the money from her grandmother's will tucked into savings if she ever had an emergency, or if she ever felt like she wanted to leave the club.
As she heard the segway song from Sapphire's set into hers ending, she immediately rolled her shoulders back and got into her proper headspace. The beat to her opening music began, and she walked up onto the stage, strutting as she did so.
Her ears were ringing from the whistles and the claps coming from the floor, and she smiled at the men she could see at the first few tables - the rest of them being kept from her vision due to the bright lights.
Georgia went through her routine with both grace and sex appeal, making sure that everyone got an eyeful of her breasts perched perfectly in her peach colored bra, as well as her ass cheeks peeking out just slightly in the cheeky panties she had on. This was one of her favorite sets she owned, and since it was a busy night, she decided that she would put it on full display.
As she exited the stage, Cass was hanging back by the bar - overseeing everything from a distance to make sure things were going as smoothly as possible. His attention was caught by a gentleman that had been seated at the bartop for most of the night, and Cass could see that he was putting bill after bill inside one of the buckets that was set up for the girls up there.
Growing even more intrigued, he made his way over to the gentleman, and he realized that he had been putting all of his money in Georgia's bucket.
Cass already knew the answer to his question, but he felt the need to ask anyway. "Seems like you've been helping my club quite a lot this evening. Could I interest you in reserving one of the girls for the backrooms? I can explain what that means, if you'd like. I don't believe I've seen you here before."
The man looked over at Cass, running his tongue along the inside of his cheek before he cleared his throat. "Been here once, a couple of weeks ago with friends for a birthday," he commented, taking a long sip of his third vodka tonic of the night. This one finally had him starting to calm his nerves a bit, but he was still very much aware of what was going on around him - he was in no way drunk. "What are the backrooms?"
"The backrooms are where our dancers can be available after their stage sets are finished for the night," Cass began to explain, leaning an elbow up on the bartop as he turned to face the man completely. "The girls only do what they feel comfortable doing in there - whether it be dancing or stripping, that's up to them. Absolutely no touching happens back there on your part, if the dancer chooses to touch you, then that's up to her. Cost can be negotiated."
The man stared at Cass, but he was finding it hard to answer him right away. His mind was spiraling when he thought about being alone in the room with the woman he had his sights on all night. He had never done something like this before, but after seeing Georgia again when she had been on his mind since the first time he was here, he felt himself growing so drawn to her.
"Look, it seems like you're a little hesitant, so I'm guessing this might be new for you in general, not just here, so let me help you a bit," Cass suggested, raising his eyebrows. The man gave him a nod to continue, finishing up his drink.
Cass turned to the bartender and lifted his fingers, pointing to man's glass once he caught the bartender's attention. "On the house," he made sure to tell them so that it didn't get added to his tab. When his eyes were back on the man, he tilted his head towards Georgia's bucket. "How about Georgia? I can see that you've put the majority, if not all, of your money you've spent so far into her particular bucket. She is one of our best though, so that's understandable."
Once the new drink was set down, the man immediately grabs it and gulps down a few big sips. "Yeah, Georgia," he confirmed with a nod of his head. "She's pretty. She's the only one I'm really interested in."
"And that's perfectly fine. A lot of our biggest clients only keep coming back for one girl in particular, it's not uncommon," Cass explained before holding his hand out. "I'm Cass, by the way, owner of Fortune."
The man put his hand that wasn't clutching to his glass out, shaking Cass' firmly. "Harry."
"So, Harry, what do you say? Should I let Georgia know she's going to have someone requesting her in one of the rooms?"
Harry swallowed harshly before nodding. "Yes, I-I think I'd be open to that," he said. They quickly discussed the cost, and he handed over a stack of bills. Cass tucked them into his pocket and he began to walk away, but he quickly turned over his shoulder to look at Harry again.
"Georgia likes her men to be a little stern with her, just a heads up," he suggested to Harry with a shrug. "The shy ones don't do much for her."
Harry could feel the flush rising over his neck at Cass' words. He knew that it was probably obvious that he was nervous about this whole situation. He lifted his hand to run along the back of his neck, and it was only a few minutes later that Cass returned to him.
"Follow me, Harry, she's just about ready for you," he told him, and they started towards a door that was on the side of the large room.
As they stepped through, it led them to a hallway that had three rooms on each side, and he could see that some of them had names of the dancers on gold plates.
"Some of the girls have their own rooms, some of them just use the ones that are open for everyone. Georgia has her own room though," Cass pulled a key out of his pocket, and he unlocked the door that, sure enough, had her name plated on it.
Cass gestured for Harry to head inside, and once he did, he remained in the doorway - watching him. "Just remember the rules, no touching, and she chooses how far she lets things go, okay? She'll be here in just a few minutes, she was just finishing freshening up from her set."
Harry nodded, chewing on the inside of his bottom lip as Cass closed the door behind him. He plopped himself down on the velvet couch that was in a large u-shape in the middle of the room. This room actually felt a lot more cozy than he imagined, and he wondered if she was able to choose the way she wanted it to look herself.
The light fixtures caused a soft glow to illuminate the entire area, enough to where they would be able to see each other properly, but they were still dim enough to set a specific mood.
Harry usually wasn't this anxious in situations. He was a successful businessman that could walk into a board meeting and leave having confirmed a deal, and then some if he really wanted. But it was something about knowing the way the woman looked that would be walking through that door any second that had him halfway spiraling.
California had been Harry's home for only the past six months or so, having moved from London for a change of scenery. It took him a few months to really get settled into his new life, and to learn to balance work and social activities, so that's why it had only been a few weeks ago that he had come here with his friends. He had nothing against clubs such as Fortune, it was just he had never been to one before.
But when he saw Georgia on that stage for the first time, he was completely enraptured. He was trying to look at her as tastefully as possible, having it be a bit hard with the lingerie she was adorning, and the way she was pushing out her assets for everyone to see, but his focus mainly remained on her face. She was easily the most beautiful woman he had ever laid his eyes on, and he thought the infatuation would've ended when he woke up the next morning - the alcohol having fled from his system, but that wasn't the case. If anything, he wanted to see her again as soon as possible.
He gave himself the time to build the courage up to come back, and by himself at that. He wasn't sure what he was expecting by coming here, but he definitely didn't expect for the owner to approach him and propose the idea of him having time alone with the woman who had been running through his mind. As much as it made him nervous, he knew that once he started talking to her that he would calm down, and hopefully he wouldn't make a fool of himself.
Taking another quick sip of his drink, Harry leaned forward to set it down on the coffee table in front of him before he heard the clicking of the door opening. His body remained leaned over as his eyes flickered up, and he saw Georgia entering with a soft smile on her face. The same robe she had worn when she first got on the stage was hugging her body, and he could see that she had changed into a different pair of strappy heels.
"Hi there," Georgia said sweetly, her southern accent sounding harmonious in his ears.
As she stepped further into the room after shutting the door behind her, Georgia couldn't help but raise her eyebrows in slight surprise once she got a better look at the man in front of her. Harry was way younger than she was expecting, and she wonders if he's the youngest client she's ever had. Most men that reserved her for her backroom were in their mid-thirties and older.
Harry had hardly noticed the pole that was up on a small step stage in the corner of the room until Georgia's hand wrapped around it. "I haven't seen you before. Is this your first time here?"
The words that Cass had spoken about being more stern with the woman in front of him replayed over and over again in his head, and he was trying to think of what he could do to exude that energy towards her without having to speak too much.
He positioned himself properly on the couch, leaning back a bit to drape his arms across the top of it. "Came here with some friends before, 's my second time," Harry stated, his eyes fighting not to wander over Georgia's body as she toyed with the tie around her robe.
The one thing Georgia really wasn't expecting was his accent. There was a slight rasp to it as he spoke, and it had her lips slightly parting. Never had she had someone with an accent as delicious as his in this room with her.
It was only a few seconds later that Georgia dropped her robe to reveal a different peach set than the one she had worn on stage. Hugging her torso beautifully was a peach colored corset that laced up the front - a bow tied right at the top which only led whoever was looking at it to see her cleavage practically leaking over the cups. She had on another pair of cheeky underwear, these a bit more cheeky than the ones she wore on stage, but that's usually how she did it for men in the room. She wanted to be a bit more revealing for them.
"I'm sure he already did, but I have to ask myself as well, Cass reviewed all the rules with you?" Georgia asked as she began to walk over to him, and he nodded in agreement. "Just a quick recap - no touching me, and I'll choose if I touch you. I'll dance for you tonight, but I won't be stripping, alright?"
"Yes, yes, of course. Whatever you're comfortable with," Harry was keeping his eyes on her face as she spoke so that she knew he was listening intently. "Wouldn't want to make you feel unsafe."
Harry noticed the way Georgia's expression changed with his words - almost as if she was showing some of her true self due to her sensual look having dropped. No man had ever used that word with her. No one had ever assured her that didn't want her to feel unsafe.
"Well thank you," she responded once she got herself together again. "I appreciate that, darlin'."
Grabbing a remote off the coffee table, Georgia hit a button which caused music to start playing throughout the room, and she began to sway her hips to it as she set the remote back down. She had picked up on the way Harry had tried his best not to let his eyes wander, and she couldn't help but smile softly at him. He was a shy one, and she hadn't had one of those in some time.
She danced fluidly for a while, hands gently coasting over her body, and Harry couldn't help but be completely entranced by her.
"What's your name?" Harry asked after a while, reaching out to grab his drink - taking a few generous sips.
"Georgia," she replied plainly, moving a bit closer to him.
"No, your real name," Harry said, and Georgia gave him a coy smile as she shook her head.
It wasn't uncommon for men to try and learn her real name, but she swore to herself she'd never make the same mistake twice - no matter how nice they seemed.
"Just Georgia. And you're Harry, Cass told me."
She tapped the toe of her heel on the inside of one of his shoes, and he took the hint that she wanted him to spread his legs further apart. Georgia stepped forward once he had, and she reached out to take his drink from him - setting it back down on the surface he had grabbed it from.
"Why do they call you Georgia?"
Smirking, Georgia leaned down a bit to meet his eyes. "Because I'm Cass' pretty peach, can't you tell?"
She ran her hands over her chest - giving her breasts a small squeeze. Harry couldn't help that his eyes wandered down now, tucking his bottom lip between his teeth.
Georgia turned around, peeking at Harry over her shoulder as she wiggled her hips. "Sweetest and juiciest peach - my ass, don't you see?"
Her ass was right in his eyeline, but he refused to look that far. Georgia's eyebrows furrowed as she noticed his eyes had wandered back up to her face, and she quickly turned back around.
"Something wrong, sweetie?"
Harry sucked in a deep breath, trying not to come off as pathetic when he opened up his mouth to make his next request. "Georgia, honey, can I just enjoy your company tonight? You don't have to dance for me, I just wanted to talk to you - spend time with you. Is that okay?"
Georgia's eyebrows seemed to gather closer as she sat down next to him on the couch, sitting towards the edge of it so she could turn her body to face him better. "But you paid, and the men who pay-"
"I don't mind, love. This is what I wanted to pay for. I never expected for you to dance for me."
Her eyes drifted over his face, taking him in even further than she already had tonight.
"He's so beautiful," she thought, her sight tracing over his sharp jawline and his prominent cheekbones.
His lips were perfectly shaped with his bottom lip being a bit more plump than the top one. Under the soft glow of the lights, she could see his piercing eyes were just a slightly darker shade of sage, and she felt the urge to trace her fingertip over the shape of his nose. The curls on the top of his head looked so soft, and once again she found herself wanting to reach out to see how they would feel running through her fingers. His skin was smooth and olive-toned, which made him look so soft overall. There was a small beauty mark near the corner of his mouth, and another in the middle of his forehead, but regardless of what some would consider flaws, he looked nothing but true perfection to her.
It wasn't until she saw the flush on his cheeks that she realized she had been staring so long without saying anything, and for the first time in a while, she found herself blushing as well.
"Sorry," she muttered an apology, licking over her bottom lip as she eyed the bar in the corner of the room. "Would you mind if I had a drink while we talked?"
"Not at all, would you like me to make it for you?"
Georgia tensed softly, and she hoped that he was just being polite by asking to do that, but she was never one to accept drinks from men while at the club. "No, that's alright. I can manage. Thank you though."
Popping up from the couch, she grabbed her robe from the floor as she walked over to the bar, slipping it back on but leaving it open. Harry watched as she grabbed herself a bottle of Buffalo Trace Bourbon and she poured it into a glass on the rocks. He raised his eyebrows a bit when she took a small sip, having not mixed it with anything.
"Would you like another drink?" Georgia called out, breaking him out of trance just a bit.
"If you wouldn't mind. I was just having vodka tonics tonight," he said, reaching out to grab his one that was already almost finished.
Georgia sent him a sweet smile as she began to prepare his drink as well.
Once she walked back over, she took his now empty glass and replaced it with the fresh drink.
"Cheers," she said, tapping her glass against his.
"Cheers."
Georgia took a few small sips of her bourbon, giving a couple of seconds between each one before setting her glass down. "Are you new to California?"
It wasn't uncommon for her to have to speak to some men to warm them up to the idea of being in a room alone with her, but it was completely new to her to have someone that just wanted to talk.
"Been here about half a year now," Harry said before leaning down to set his glass down like she had. "Do you mind if I take off my jacket? I'm getting a bit warm."
Georgia shook her head. "Not at all. I want you to be comfortable."
Harry smiled as he shrugged the deep gray suit jacket off, draping it across the back of the couch. He wore a black long sleeved dress shirt underneath, and Georgia couldn't help but watch the way his bicep flexed as he reached a hand up to run it through his curls. It was then she caught sight of the cross tattoo on his hand. When he reached back down to grab his glass once again, she saw the shirt shift where he had the buttons undone, and she caught another peek of ink against his chest - a cross pendant hanging from his necklace to rest beautifully against his sternum.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt the conversation" he apologized, and he turned to face her a bit more. He rested one of his elbows on the back of the couch to lean the side of his head against his fist - other hand still holding his glass against the top of his knee. "But yeah, I've been in California for a little over six months."
He was starting to feel more comfortable with her now that the expectation for the night was clear, but his heart was still thumping against his chest just by being in the presence of someone as stunning as her.
"Any reason in particular for you moving?"
Georgia decided to drop the pet names she would usually use when speaking to her clients. That was mostly to make them feel special, and to butter them up, but with Harry this already felt so different. She didn't feel the need to use them with him.
"Just wanted a change of scenery," Harry shrugged, sipping from his glass. "Being twenty-eight and single doesn't really have you tied down to anything too much. I'll obviously take a trip back home to spend Christmas with my family once December comes, but other than that, I don't have much for me back home."
Shifting slightly on the couch, Georgia wanted to open up to him, and to tell him that she could relate, but she was scared to do so. She hadn't shared parts of her personal life in these situations, or really with anyone new, in so long. "I'm sorry," she told him sympathetically. "Are you at least enjoying the area so far?"
For the first time tonight, she watched as Harry's eyes traced over her with purpose, but not in a way that made her feel distressed. If anything, it made her feel different. She knew that his eyes were wandering over her body, but he was looking at her with such adoration, not hunger like most men do.
"Yeah, I think I'm starting to," he responded, licking over that plush bottom lip before taking another hefty sip of his cocktail.
Georgia didn't know why, but those words made her press her thighs together. He didn't say anything overly sexual, and she wasn't even sure if he meant what he said in regards to her in any way, but she could see that his confidence was growing the more they talked - that in itself was turning her on.
"Well, I'm glad to hear that," Georgia coughed softly to clear her throat, quickly grabbing her own drink. Instead of putting it back down after her sips, she kept it in her hand as she rested it on the cushion between the two of them. She soon mimicked his position, elbow on the back of the couch with her fingers tangled into the side of her hair as she rested her head in her palm. "What did you think of the club when you came a few weeks ago?"
Harry watched as she situated herself a bit more on the couch, curling a leg up onto the cushion, and he made note of how relaxed she looked. That had him smiling at her - happy that this interaction was feeling so comfortable between the two of them.
"It was a new experience for me, just like right now is," Harry explained, tapping his long index finger against the side of his glass. He took in a deep breath, realizing he was going to confess that she was the reason that he came back tonight. "I saw you on that stage though, and I'm going to be honest, I couldn't really stop thinking about you."
Silence blanketed the two of them, and it was because he rendered Georgia speechless. Most of the time when men said they had seen her on stage, they talked about how they couldn't wait to get her back into this room to see even more, but not Harry.
"I'm sorry," she heard him apologize again for something he didn't really need to. "That was probably really weird of me to say."
It sprung upon Georgia that he thought her silence meant that she found his confession odd, and she shook her head, quickly reaching out to brush her fingertips against the back of his hand. "No, no," her voice was kind, and goosebumps coated Harry's skin when he felt her touch. "You're just...you're a contrast to what I'm used to here, and I mean that in a very complimentary way."
Harry's eyes really met hers for the first time tonight, and they both felt an unknown surge pulse through their bodies. "What do you mean?"
"Men usually don't want to talk like this, Harry. It's really nice, and I can tell that when you say you couldn't stop thinking about me, that you mean it more than just a sexual attraction. That's not something I've ever heard before."
Georgia didn't even realize that her fingertips were still against the back of Harry's hand. She looked down, making note of the rings decorating his fingers before looking back up at him to make brief eye contact again. Harry shuddered out a breath as he hesitantly flipped his hand over, his own fingertips skimming across her palm. She didn't even know what she was really doing, but the touch had Georgia shuffling herself just slightly closer to him, but still leaving enough room to have her drink resting between the two of them.
"I don't want to seem too forward," Harry spoke up again after a few seconds. "But I saw you and I was just enamored by you. You're so beautiful, and I liked your confidence..."
Harry trailed off, feeling even more pathetic than earlier at this point. He knew that Georgia heard compliments such as her being beautiful and confident all the time, and although she said that no other man had talked to her the way he had, he knew this had to be at least similar. He wasn't anything special, and he suddenly had a feeling of foolishness enveloping him.
Although it wasn't completely obvious, Georgia could see that some sort of inner battle was happening inside of Harry's mind. "You're very sweet," she told him honestly. "You're not being too forward. I really enjoy the way you're talking to me. You're flattering me, truly."
Pursing his lips to the side, Harry's hand slightly captured Georgia's to massage his thumb against the heel of her palm, and he kept his eyes down on the contact. "Can I ask you a question?"
"Of course," Georgia breathed - her mind reeling from just the slightest bit more pressure from Harry's touch.
"Cass said that you liked when men were more stern when talking to you, and I know I don't expect anything, but are you sure I'm not boring you?"
Georgia had a feeling of uneasiness wash over her when she heard Harry's words. "I'm sorry?"
Harry's eyes snapped up to meet hers, and he felt like he may have said the wrong thing. "Oh, I didn't mean to offend you. Forget that I said anything, please."
When he went to retract his touch, Georgia was quick to stop him, bringing his hand to rest against the top of one of her thighs - keeping her own hand over it to keep it there. "No, please tell me what he said."
Harry grew warm when he knew where his hand was now resting, but he kept his eyes solely on Georgia's. "He said you liked your men more stern, and that the shy ones don't do much for you. I think he could tell I was a bit nervous about this whole thing."
This information made her a bit angry. She had never expressed any of this Cass, so she didn't know where he was pulling this from. Was it some sort of tactic to make Harry even more nervous? Was it to make Harry think differently of her?
Georgia scoffed, looking away from Harry for a moment, and that made him think he had fucked this all up again. His hand squeezed her thigh out of instinct, desperate to not have this connection that he felt end, and she gasped. Their eyes quickly met again, and Harry's jaw slightly dropped when he realized what he had done. "Oh my god, Georgia, I didn't mean to," he pleaded, shaking his head. "I wasn't trying to do anything, I promise. Fuck."
He retracted his hand from her quickly, and she immediately felt so cold. The first curse word falling from his lips almost had her eyes rolling back in her head - his pretty mouth saying that word with such vigor.
"Harry babe," Georgia cooed as he turned to face completely forward on the couch now, elbows propped on the tops of his knees as he held his cocktail glass in both hands.
He didn't turn to look at her, no matter how much emotion swirled in his chest when he heard her say his name in such a way followed by a pet name that he felt she didn't use too often.
Georgia dragged her bottom lip through her teeth as she set her half empty drink down onto the coffee table, propping both knees up onto the couch now as she shuffled over to him - closing the gap between them for the first time.
"I didn't think you were trying to do anything," she brought her hand down to rub between his shoulder blades. "You didn't make me uneasy."
Lowering her body slightly, she rested her cheek against his shoulder, and she watched as he hesitantly looked back at her. Their eyes wandered over each other's faces before her lips twitched into a smile.
A knock on the door startled the both of them, and Georgia sighed while closing her eyes for a moment. Their time was up, but she really didn't want to have anyone's company but Harry's tonight.
"I'm sorry, but I have to go," she whispered, opening her eyes to still see him staring at her. Swallowing harshly, she leaned forward and pressed a small kiss against the hinge of his jaw. "Thank you, Harry. I wish I didn't have to leave you so soon."
Knowing that she didn't have much time when knocks on the door happened, she stood up from the couch and tied her robe in a hurry. She snatched her drink from the coffee table and began to walk towards the door before she felt Harry's arm around her waist.
She yelped as he quickly turned her around, their chests now pressed together. "Can I see you again? In here?"
This was the first time a man had asked permission to book her again, and she felt a swirling in her stomach. Bringing up her hand that wasn't holding her drink, she cupped Harry's cheek and nodded. "Please," she expressed so genuinely. "I would like that very much."
Not being able to stop herself this time, she moved her hand from his cheek to run the tip of her index finger down the bridge of his nose to the tip of it. With one small tap to his cupid's bow, she pulled away from him. "I'll see you soon, Harry."
Harry watched as she walked out of the room, and he quickly downed the rest of the drink that he had still been holding. Once he collected his suit jacket from the couch, he left the room, shrugging the clothing on as he headed back towards the main bar to pay his tab. His eyes wandered around for Georgia, not being able to resist seeing her once more before he left  even though they had just separated.
After a while when he didn't see her, he decided it was best that he didn't linger around any further - paying his tab before heading out for the night.
There wasn't a single doubt in his mind that he would be back to see Georgia, and as Georgia sat at her vanity to freshen up, gulping down the rest of her drink, she couldn't help but find herself so eager to see Harry again.

This day was a big day, a huge day actually!
You were already prone to waking up in the early hours of the morning, but the last thing you thought you would see was your boyfriend awake before you. Joe was prone to sleeping in, which was not the best thing since he was a working actor and was sometimes called onto set far before the sun came up. You were used to it though, living together with a small little apartment in London. But now you were in America, out in Georgia in a smaller hotel and upon the first day of Joseph's new project he was hired for:
Netflix's Stranger Things.
It was insanely popular, a world wide sensation that only grew as Joseph was hired to join the cast for Season 4. He was already a fan before, you two were since Season 1. There was no other show like it, mystery and horror mixed with the nostalgic 80's that was amazing and binge worthy. When Joseph's manager called saying that they were looking for new talent for Season 4, you urged him to audition. Of course he was hesitant, since it was a huge show on Netflix and it would make or break you on that scale.
"You never know unless you try, Joe," You reassured him, seeing him think about it as you two were sitting together out in a restaurant on one of your date nights, "I think you should take the chance. Isn't that the life of an actor anyways?"
When he got the call that he made the cast, Joseph was over the moon and almost in complete denial. You just squealed and hugged him tightly as soon as he told you, thinking it was just a massive move on his part with his career. He's been itching for a boost in his acting, and this was it.
So when he was packing up to go to America when it was time for filming, he asked you to come along as his support system. You were always his number one supporter since you two got together years ago, giving him the right push and advice when he was at a crossroads here and there. Joseph was smart in his choices and decisions, but he also knew he could come to you since you were more levelheaded in certain situations. You followed him, working on your laptop remotely with your journalism.
You met his co-stars and some of the members on the production team, Josep almost a bit bashful to introduced you to them as you smiled and shook each hand. It was always fun to see him on set, you only visiting a few times and not wishing to intrude. You even had the best time seeing Eddie being fitted in his costume, including the infamous Eddie Munson wig that made him the Metalhead and Dungeons Master of Hawkins High.
"What do you think, luv?" He asked, standing in front of the floor length mirror as the costume designer was getting the last minutes touches ready. You were to the side, sporting smirk as his demin vest and balks pants made it all come together, including the chunky metal rings, his Hellfire Club shirt, and sneakers.
"Very nice, baby," You hummed, "Very Metal,"
Joseph just chuckled.
"Good morning, Mr. Munson!" You said in a chipper tone as you leaned over the bed to kiss Joseph on the nose, "Ready for your first day?"
Joseph merely smiled, but it wasn't wide or even warm at all. It almost felt force, making you pause and scan his face from your spot in the bed. Something felt...off. Last night he was pretty excited, the two fo you going out to dinner in the local town and chatting about his first day and what he was going to film. Then he seemed excited and on the edge of his seat, Joseph was always ready to start a new project and see how to unfolds.
But that morning, it didn't feel like that.
"Hey, baby," You said, sitting up a bit to lean over him in the bed, seeing him almost avert his eyes away from you for a second and bite his lower lip. His fingers were drumming on his stomach on top of the comforter, his curly hair against the pillow was a bit skew, and when you touched his arm with your fingers, he stayed too still, "Are you okay?"
Joseph took a solid moment before he looked up at him, making you see his dark brown eyes on contrast to his lighter skin tone. You knew that stare he was giving you then, you've seen it before a handful of times in the past.
"What if I screw it up?"
"Joe…." You sighed, reaching up to touch his jawline with your fingers and frame his face with one hand, feeling the small stubble against his cheeks and the coolness of his skin. Joe watched you, watching to hear what you were going to say with the hesitant there in his entire body language.
"What makes you think you won't be good?" You asked, wondering what was going on in his mind. He just bit his lower lip, almost wishing to not answer the question himself.
"It's a big show and it's insanely popular, and if I screw it up somehow..." he started to say, to you, sounding a bit small himself with his tone as you finally leaned down a bit to barely touch your nose with his, making sure Joe was watching you and had all of your attention.
"You are meant for this role and this show," You reminded him, Joe watching you as you leaned up to touch some of his curls in your fingers, "They hired you to play this part for a reason: they see that talent in you that I don't think a whole lot of others have,"
"You're just sayin' that," He tried to reason as you then gave him a stern stare.
"I'm not, Joe," You explained calmly as you move your hand to lace in his on top of his chest, "I love you too much such to say pretty words to make you happy. Joe, I have seen how far you have come as a an actor: ever since we started dating I saw how good you got because you worked your ass off, and you love doing it. I know actors who half-ass their work and just get by, not you. You work hard and it shows, or do you not remember the praise you got from being in Les Miserables?"
Joe grinned from you mentioned his recent work. He got so much praise and compliments from his role as Enjorlas. It was one of his crowning achievements in his acting career, Joe felt amazing with how much press he was getting for his role and how much he gave to the character.
"You're gonna kill this, Joe," You reassured him smoothly, "You are a fucking good actor, about to be in one of the biggest TV shows in history, and you're going to be amazing doing it as the Dungeon Master Eddie Munson. I know that for a fact, not because I love you, but I know you and I have seen you act. You got it?"
Joe's smile widen, making you grin and lean down to kiss you softly. He kissed your back, framing your face in his hands and nearly making you melt into him on the bed since you were still perched over him. You never had a problem giving him words of praises and affirmation, it was natural for you. Joe sometimes needed that from time to time, and he would do the same for you when you would hit a writing wall with your job.
Finally, you leaned back up to move away from Joe's lips as Joe tried to kiss you again. But he sighed, leaning back into the pillows as you found your voice again, "Don't doubt yourself, honey,"
"I won't, luv. Thank you," He replied, not sounding more sure of himself and that hesitance was long gone, "How could I anyways with you tellin' me that I'm good?"
"Someone has to around here," You joked Joe then wrapping you in his arms to tickle you in bed. You squealed, trying to get away as Joe was ticking your sides and laughing as you were screeching in delight. It felt light again that morning, you always wishing to make sure Joe knew how good he was and how his own talent was going to carry him far.
If only you knew how this life was going to change that very morning as soon as he walked onto set.
The End.

Louise Beavers

Louise Beavers (March 8, 1900 – October 26, 1962) was an American film and television actress who appeared in dozens of films and two hit television shows from the 1920s to 1960. She played a prominent role in advancing the lives of Black Americans through her work and collaborated with fellow advocates to improve the social standing and media image of the Black population.
Beavers was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to school teacher Ernestine (Monroe) Beavers and William M. Beavers, who was originally from Georgia. Her mother's illness caused the family to move to Pasadena, California.
In Pasadena, she attended school and engaged in several after-school activities, such as basketball and church choir. Her mother also worked as a voice teacher and taught her how to sing. In 1920, Beavers graduated from Pasadena High School. She then worked as a dressing-room attendant for a photographer and served as a personal maid to film star Leatrice Joy.
Beavers' acting career began as a member of the Lady Minstrels, a group of young women who staged amateur productions and appeared on stage at the Loews State Theatre. Charles Butler, an agent for African-American actors, saw one of her early performances and recommended that she audition for a film role.
Beavers was initially hesitant to audition for film roles because of the negative portrayal of blacks in film. She once said, "In all the pictures I had seen… they never used colored people for anything except savages." However, she won a role in the film Uncle Tom’s Cabin (1927) and went on to play stereotypical black roles such as those of a slave, a mother figure, a maid or domestic servant. With Claudette Colbert in Imitation of Life (1934)
After playing the role of Julia, the maid and mother figure to a young white woman, in Coquette (1929), Beavers gained more attention for her work and was able to transition to less stereotypical roles. Beavers played Delilah in Imitation of Life (1934), again in the role of a housekeeper, but instead of the usual stereotypical comedic or purely functional role, Delilah's storyline constitutes a secondary parallel plot in which her problems are given considerable emotional gravity. Some in the media recognized the unfairness of Hollywood's double standard regarding race. A contributor to California Graphic Magazine wrote: "the Academy could not recognize Miss Beavers. She is black!"
In 1936, Beavers married Robert Clark, who later became her manager. Beavers and Clark later divorced.
Beavers played the lead role in the film Reform School (1939), once thought to be a lost film, as a forward-thinking probation officer who becomes the superintendent of a reform school and implements major changes.
In the film Holiday Inn (1942), Beavers performed a song during a minstrel show number celebrating Abraham Lincoln's birthday. Because the number features Bing Crosby and others in blackface, some consider it racially offensive and it is often excised from television screenings of the film. As Beavers' career grew, some criticized her for the roles that she accepted, alleging that such roles institutionalized the view that blacks were subservient to whites. Beavers dismissed the criticism, acknowledging the limited opportunities available but saying: "I am only playing the parts. I don't live them." As she became more widely known, Beavers began to speak against Hollywood's portrayal and treatment of African Americans, both during production and after promoting the films. Beavers became active in public life, seeking to help support African Americans. She endorsed Robert S. Abbott, the editor of The Chicago Defender, who fought for African-Americans' civil rights. She supported Richard Nixon, who she believed would help black Americans in the struggle for civil rights.
In 1952, Beavers married Leroy Moore, with whom she remained until her death in 1962. She had no children.
In later life, Beavers was plagued by health issues, including diabetes. She died on October 26, 1962 at the age of 62, following a heart attack, at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in Los Angeles.
Beavers was inducted into the Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame in 1976. She was an honorary member of the Sigma Gamma Rho sorority, one of the four African-American sororities

Hello! I hope you are doing fine! I am *definitely* going to add to you overflowing askbox, so I apologise in advance.... (I didn't know where to post this, and I seriously don't know how to feel about this post)
Tumblr media
Hi there! I...wow. Okay, I clearly turned off my Anons just in time, or at the worst possible time (I'm not sure which). But this was a hell of a thing to see first thing this morning, and after seeing the notes on that post, I think this person was right to send this question via a throwaway account, because they knew they would get flamed for it.
First of all, whether or not this person should have even asked Neil this question is entirely up for debate. GO season 2 is done, it's in the can and about to be released, so it's not as if there is anything Neil can do about Peter and Ty being in it. I can also understand Neil likening this person's concern about the casting to people saying prior to GO season 1 that it was a huge mistake to cast Michael and David. I could see him equating the two, in his mind, and feeling like this is déjà vu all over again and thusly responding from that vantage.
However...I'm really at a loss as to his opening sentence, in which he describes the person's question as "creepy." I've read and reread the person's question multiple times, and for my part, I did not think there was anything creepy about this question. The person seemed to take great care in asking it--especially with English not being their first language--and did not make any threats toward anyone, nor say anything inappropriate (again, as far as I could tell). This leads me to think that Neil very deliberately used that word, setting the stage for and tacitly encouraging what he alluded to but did not say aloud--that this person is silly and stupid for asking a seemingly harmless question and deserves to be treated accordingly.
There was one part of the person's question that Neil homed in on (and that seems to be a common refrain in the notes and on Twitter), which was that this person cannot separate the characters from the actors, nor tell fiction from reality. Yet I also did not get this feeling from their question, and was taken aback by Neil seemingly twisting around what the person was actually trying to say. The specific focus on this part of the question also seemed to serve the purpose of steering discussion away from the heart of the person's question, which was about nepotism. And it's here, at this particular point, that Neil's response does not really seem to stand up to scrutiny.
First of all, the comment about "a season that hasn't even been commissioned in parts that haven't been written" is disingenuous at best, as not even a week ago, it was Neil himself who said that Georgia was offered a part in season 2. So this is not really a hypothetical concern, as Georgia actually was offered a part. I also thought it was interesting that Neil conveniently did not mention the bonus episode of Sandman, in which both Georgia and Anna had voice roles in scenes with their respective partners. So again, not a hypothetical, but something that actually previously happened. And in both these cases, it does not seem that an audition was required, but rather that the roles were offered to Georgia and AL because they happened to be there/it simplified things since Sandman was recorded during Covid times.
Another thing that has been overlooked was David himself at the Basingstoke Comic Con this past weekend being asked about his favorite scene in GO 2. After mentioning that his son is in the scene, David also says his father-in-law (Peter) is in the show. The interviewer then asks, "And your wife and your neighbor?" to which David's response is "They are not in it, but it’s a sore point, so don’t dwell on it." I thought that was an interesting choice of words, because if everything involving offering Georgia a part did go exactly the way Neil described, why would it be a sore point? If Georgia researched the role and had absolutely no compunction about turning it down, why would she be annoyed or upset? It seems like something small, I know, but it just makes me question some of the things we're being told.
In terms of Peter and Ty's roles, I do understand that Peter is a fixture on the acting landscape in the UK, so I fully get Neil offering him a part, but I find his answer regarding Ty to be extremely dubious, at best. Neil and David have been friends since 2017--so, six years now--and is he truly expecting us to believe that he has no idea what David's son looks like? Even if they haven't had occasion to meet in person, does it really make sense that David would have never shown him a picture? Especially given how he beams with pride when talking about Ty and his accomplishments. Also, I realize the days of traditional audition tapes are long gone, but does it seem at all plausible that Neil wouldn't have seen Ty's name on the clip he watched, or that if he'd seen the name "Ty Tennant," it wouldn't have rung a bell?
But rather than address any of this, Neil--for reasons I can only begin to guess--decided to respond to this person as condescendingly and dismissively as possible. The bit about "shattered the fragile illusion and revealed to people that the David Tennant and Michael Sheen who play Crowley and Aziraphale are actors" was beyond insulting (as if we don't know that Michael and David are actors?), but what really grates my cheese is the fact that it opened the door to people in the notes accusing people who have had concerns about these issues of being "in an echo chamber." I would argue that the people who are somehow not aware of these concerns are the ones actually living in an echo chamber, because there has been a LOT of talk about this ever since Neil shared that cropped photo two months ago. (Also, I am aware that a combined 146 votes is by no mean a representative sample of an entire fandom, but if the results of the two polls I recently posted are any indication, a lot of people seem ambivalent (in the case of Ty and Peter) or outright against (in the case of Georgia and AL) these casting choices.)
Overall, I would say that I am deeply disappointed in this type of response from someone I've always thought was a brilliant writer and a really cool guy. I fully acknowledge that Neil can say whatever he wants, of course, but it's really strange to me that someone who has been so tight-lipped and "wait and see" about everything GO 2 up until now is suddenly delving into details. For months, Neil gave no answers regarding a trailer or character names or even a crumb of plot, so I'm just downright confused as to why these particular questions merited an answer. Neil could've even simply said, "Your concern is noted and appreciated, but everything is fine", or not answered this question at all (which I think probably would've been the better route), but instead, he went the way he did, and here we are.
So those are pretty much my thoughts on this whole thing. I am still looking forward to GO season 2, but this has definitely colored my perceptions to a degree. I guess we'll see what happens...
