“Watchdog of the Convoys” – U.S. Navy Airships. Goodyear ad in “The Saturday Evening Post,” January 2, 1943.
Back in the 60s, when there was I think only one Goodyear blimp left and it was used mostly to fly over football games with a camera inside it, it came to my town once a year for a game and as the airport was near where i lived flew over my home, only 8 or 10 stories above the ground, on it's way to an overnight stay at the airport.
I was one very impressed 12 year old.
