Journey to the West Chapter 1 Sketches

(have been posting more on my main ladyzerodark, so I wanted to post on here for this)

My interpretation of the Stone Monkey's birth

And

Sun Wukong getting his name.

Both are two of my favorite moments in chapter one. (My other favorites being him jumping into the waterfall and finding the new home with the monkeys, along with him vowing to find immortality, but I unfortunately didn't end up drawing these due to issues with time, but I may draw them in my own time)

These moments solidified key parts of Sun Wukong to me: his chaotic but (somewhat) respectful nature, his bravery, his love for his family and a desire to learn new things.

I'm going to try to draw more of my favorite moments in future chapters and solidify my own designs for other characters.

This is an idea I had last night and I just remembered it. Otis with a male reader who used to be a cheerleader. What would Otis think about it?

i absolutely love this idea because its just so otis, i have no other words to describe it other than that. he would LOVEEEE THIS, i literally cannot thank you enough for this thought. yes i am trying to rebrand my blog because i am currently moving myself into a new bedroom so i feel the need to make everything new, and i also like how this looks LOL

it would most likely come up as a random fact you shared with him, not thinking much of it, but he is majorly interested. loves to find out even more how non-conformist you are, just his own little pride in you that he finds

"You were a cheerleader? Didn' take ya for one of them frilly typa guys.. what did you do in it?"

will genuinely be interested because hes never really heard of or seen any guy do that, and he most likely wasnt given that opportunity growing up (we see that he likes the more literal arts)

hes happy that someone shares his artistic mind and will ask you if you remember any moves or any routines.... or if youre still as flexible (he would like to test that out)

baby will eventually find you two as youre in the middle of a routine, and she sits down to admire as well. shes most definitely interested snd will be begging you to teach her anything's

will try to memorize your figure as you pose and draw you to materialize your beauty (not that he doesn't tell you it enough, he just thinks that youre a work of art, especially when youre in your own world)

wants you to tell him about the uniforms... for so many reasons. for one he wants to know how you used to dress in this specific sport, once again because his lack of knowledge. and two because he wants to make sexual innuendos and comments about how good youd look if you dressed for him like that again.. he just wants to see his boyfriend all pampered up for him giving him a show

will pay closer attention to how much you use your former abilities around the house, and how much of a help it actually is to everyday life and helping mama around

may try to recreate your uniform with his victims clothing.. as a cute little present!!!! he just wants you to know that he values your hobbies and own experiences and that he does care about you

if you have any routines you remember, and decide to show him, hes going to be confused as hell as he tries to recreate the chants

"Lets go! P.. a... n.... shit sweetheart whats the next letter?"

loves to tease you about it and make fun of you lovingly, because partially he thinks its hilarious that you used to jump around for fun

may decide to test your gymnast skills from time to time and surprise you by wrestling or by having some sort of dare going on, hes gotta keep you on your feet

also loves to compete with you, sometimes seeing who's faster or who's stronger, or more agile. he'll make it a game when youre chasing victims to see who catches them first, or who can keep them down longer

"Don't get it wrong handsome, i'm still stronger."

as you can see is very adamant that he could and will beat you in a fight if it ever happened.. slightly threatened but also turned on

makes you reach or stretch for affection more. whether it be making you go on your tiptoes to kiss him, or go through obstacles to cuddle

Blog update: “About” and “Characters” pages rewrite 

First of, happy new year everyone! Hoping this one doesn’t end me for good haha. 

As stated above, “About” and “Characters” pages have been updated with new info, character description, sheets and art (which you see in this post). You’ll need to open the blog in browser in order to view these pages. Keep in mind that it’s all subject to change given that the story is still in early development (I wrote down 1/4 of the script plan so far) and I might get rid of things I feel I can’t utilize properly. 

I’m also opening the ask box again, so if the text inspires you or makes you wonder certain things, you can drop your message there :) I can’t promise I’ll be quick to answer and I probably won’t be able to answer all of your asks but I’ll do my best to read through them all. 

Under the cut is rest of the concept art (and some of my rambling) so I don’t make the post too bloated to scroll through:

Edd’s style is still considered “weird” but in a more obnoxious and bold way. It’s screaming “Look at me! Look at me! I’ll have you look my way like it or not!”. I like the silly thought of him coming to embrace larger suits thanks to his sire. It is comfortable! And one of the kind - if you were wondering for what purpose Edd needs sewing skills, that’s the answer :)  

Tord lost his iconic sweater and scarf. I gotta say I wasn’t sure if bare chest idea would work out but I’m glad I tried it cuz heck yeah it did. Love it or hate it Tord doesn’t give a damn 😎   His fake horns are now slicked back which makes him look like a disgruntled kitten lol And I added a belt buckle, it’s a skull being crushed by a hammer (roughly designed after thor’s hammer as a nod to his origin); it carries a certain personal significance too 

Matt style is still inspired by vintage suits and illustrations but customized for personal taste. Like the vest being asymmetrical, or the suit being more “flappy” and with a big cutout on the back. It’s sort of a way of saying “I might be playing by the rules but I do it my own way”. He is ultimate bishounen now and his power is mesmerizing enemies with that iconic anime stare and sound effects (this is a joke, but a joke I love) 

Tom had it worst XD but also I had the most fun with him. The pale yellow parts on his body are supposed to be bone and um...shell...thing...you know when something spends a lot of time in the water in the open sea and you get it out and it’s covered in those THINGS yeah I can’t find the word but hopefully you got my point hahaha. It was hard to keep him as monstrous as possible but also recognizable but I think giving him the monster tom color palette did the job. Also yes he got scales. And the texture I did on his skin is supposed to be semi-transparent...like jello maybe? he’s hideous and a pain to color and i love him lol

Revamping my altar - Part 01🙃

Let's ingnore the fact that I ghosted my blog for the most part of this year and jump right in as if nothing happened....

Starting point

I'm a very aesthetically driven person and I'm bored with my current altar, which has been remained the same for a long time. (I thought I had a picture but I don't and it's gone now so oops...)

I want to create something that puts me in an inspired mood just by looking at it. That looks inviting and beautiful and brings me delight and motivation. A little sanctuary nook kinda.

I want to revitalize things and symbolize the new era i'm in, due to the fact that i recently moved into a new flat, got a new job, and overall my life is very different than it was last year.

So here is the journey of making my new altar :) At the moment it's far from done but here is the first part of the process!

Part 02 will follow once I've received the things I ordered, probably at the end of November or early December.

Inspirations

So i went on a quest to find inspirations on pinterest that would sort of align with what i wanted to make.

ngl I dislike most of what I see because I find them too cluttered for my personal taste. The main issue is that i'm clumsy and i hate the idea of my hand having to slither through a forest of objects to be able to grab what i want lol

Still managed to find a few cool examples, here they are:

I love the rough, folk-esque, natural aspects of them, the blend of stone, marble and wood. The branches, the sculptures, the iconic symbols and the fact that there is a variety of heights of things, if that makes sense. I also like having a strong art piece in the middle, which i prefer over having a mirror like many examples i found. Idk i just find the idea of having to stare at myself at my altar a bit uncomfortable lol

But it's still different from what would be authentic for me and also i gotta do with what i have or what i can buy.

The thing is that my altar is not dedicated to a single deity so i can't go with one strong themed vibe but i have to put them all together. Currently, Apollo, Artemis, Hekate, Dionysos, Hermes and Demeter share the same space.

Furniture

Thankfully the new book shelf I got is quite wide and has three levels, which is plenty enough space to give everyone their own space and even host my incense, tarot cards and spiritual books.

I almost sold a kidney to get an antique cabinet, which looked really cool but was not going to fit in with the interior style of my living room, where my altar is located.

So I went in with a more modern yet slightly organic-shaped one:

Not 100% what I was looking for but at least the space is there. Love the curves an the contrast of the two colors, but I wish the wood was darker. I could sand and re-varnish but who's got time for that.

Current state of the sculptures

I've been collecting sculptures and hand painting them for a while now (you can check out my pinned post for pictures of some of them), and although I love what I made, I really want to get some new ones that are higher and I'm even wondering if I should just keep them white and gold instead of colorful.

Also, for the life of me, I can't find a sculpture of Hekate that I like. They either look too bland or too new-agey for my taste. At the moment, I have the classic three women holding torches and stuff that I hand painted in blue, yellow and silver, but idk it's not what I have in mind and I think I'm just going to resort to do clay modelling myself. I'll probably do a separate post for the process!

Btw I'll do a free giveaway in the future to re-home my old sculptures so stay tuned for that!

What I have in mind

Sooo I'm not sure of the exact height and width of the things that I have coming in, and I'm still looking for a strong art piece or relief to go at the center back so I'm not sure if my disgusting mouse-drawn photoshop sketch is going to be accurate at all lol

The more I stare at it the more I think it makes no sense 🙃

So basically, from left to right; Apollo (new statue incoming); Artemis (old statue at the moment but need to upgrade); Hekate in the center (need to craft that); Dionysos (new bust incoming); Hermes (new bust incoming); and on the lower lever Demeter (still love the statue as I think it's my best one so it will stay this way).

Still missing:

one or two candles i use during worship, preferably gold

art piece in the center, either a plaster relief or canva print of something

plant with long falling ''arms'' (idk the word in english)

dried branches to go in the left vase

a way to fix the antlers to the wall

an old key for hekate (need to go to a thrift store)

maybeee a bigger box to store my incense and ritualistic plates and glasses

I don't think I want a table cloth simply because I had one in the past and it was always a mess to clean. Having the bare table is much easier, especially considering that I will burn incense and candles and that gets messy.

i might've years ago, so let's go again! i'm gonna answer this question as only NSFW/kink related, otherwise the list would be way too long haha

alright let's start with the obvious: ParviII is and always will be my #1 one ship, even when I dip in and out of the fandom a lot (i feel the term OTP is super outdated these days? but if there was one ship i could use it with it's them...)

so obviously i'm gonna say Talking Body and Payment and Payback by @sparxwrites. because. you know. how can i not. oh yeah, Good Vibrations is also a classic. hiii sparx, i'm sorry for picking your older fics, i just have such a bias. they've written a ton of great stuff over the years though, so go give the account a peak! there's something for everyone, especially if you like darker stuff.

...speaking of accounts with a lot of content who lurk around here, shoutout to @pawpunkao3. lmpᴇarI is one of my favorite ships, and they're still such a rarepair somehow?? anyways I think about Between Bedrock and a Hard Place at least once a week tbh. A New Religion That'll Bring You To Your Knees is fantastic, and i have a soft spot for I Spy (even tho i didn't watch too much empires). again, another author with a whole arsenal under their belt, so don't just take my word for it and check the rest of his fics!

back to lmpᴇarI being a rarepair... @thatstoomuchsoup has Chicken Soup for the Soulbounds (okay it's more pearI-centric but they're both there) and is another blog that specializes in some of my kinks and these fandoms. same with @anon-teddy's content, gotta give a shoutout to full. this is also making me realize i haven't sought out enough poly S0up Group or GᴇmpuIse/PᴇarIgem fics...maybe i'll get back to you on that...

there's a bunch of good explicit trᴇᴇbark fics, but i said i was gonna keep this list concise, so the only one i'll specifically point to is how to deal with your supernatural lust for blood (and other things) in a completely normal and god-honoring fashion. for...reasons. also because it's good!

edit: oh my GOD i realized two seconds after posting this i completely forget to mention @also-an-art. go read (this is) hungry work and honey don't feed it right fucking now. i've read both of these in full (pun intended) multiple times they're that amazing. it's rare that the plot is just as good as the horniness, when i tell you i lost my mind at some of the development in these. also hot and dirty (like the la air) is a guilty pleasure. AND it introduced me to a song that ended up being #20 on my spotify wrapped LOL (RPF warning on that one! trust me tho)

let's get to my other bias, shall we? RᴛSpiff and RᴛS00t don't....have any explicit fics. nor does poly lᴀds. CMRᴛ does, though! I'm kinda picky about how people characterize them, but play it cool and Every Stumble and Each Misfire are lovely (note that the second one is also blatant RPF! don't say i didn't warn you o7)

speaking of lᴀds, if you follow me on main, you know i got into Bᴀnᴀna Bᴜs Sqᴜᴀd just last year (I'M SORRY, OKAY, DON'T @ ME-) you'd think getting into an old fandom late would mean a ton of great smut fics, right? to be honest, i haven't found many that i care for, but maybe i'm just picky... however, i remember your lips, they're the ones i miss, and smoke in your lungs, your lips on mine are SO GODDAMN GOOD i'm not even mad it's only those two i like because i could reread them 20 times. god. such fun characterization. shame the author orphaned them because i badly wanna read more of their stuff.

this is the part where you go, spirit, do you read anything besides (mᴄ)yt fandoms??? and i go, not really.............well, sort of. i like 0verwatch! and M0icy!! Reciprocity is a delightful PWP long fic. i'm also not really an omegaverse guy, but Water Me has such a good take on it i fell in looove.

there's always a thousand ideas rattling around in my brain, and my notes app is getting filled with one line prompts for mostly art ideas but could also turn into mini fics

I'm still hung up on boxer mammon and I think. I will pick up my sketchbook today after going grocery shopping. Drawing faces is what's holding me back, and the idea that I wouldn't do the characters justice is what holds me back from writing (have not written since my wattpad days). The closet thing I have is dialogue blurbs in my notes app.

mammon is always on the brain SORRY. but like, thinking about merchant/jeweler mammon and a royal mc. And Mammon has ridiculous prices or excuses for why he can't sell (thinking about aziraphele from good omens and his book shop) but mc visits his stall every day (possibly in disguise?? or with a guard), and one day manages to trade a royal jewel for something in his collection (i am such a sucker for royalty in general and knights and AAA)

or thinking about Solomon and mc making potions together for the first time, and Solomon encouraging random things to be added just to see the end result (my mc is naturally curious and shares a single braincell when paired with solomon)

OR mc their first year in the devildom and possibly going to barbatos for advice on ingredients to use, what's human safe, and easy dishes to experiment on so they don't poison themselves. which makes me wonder how much human stuff is readily available and if mc can go grocery shopping in the human world with barbatos (domestic activities), or if they had to send him with a list (like when there was a retreat at the demon lords castle and everyone got to make dishes from their home)

Please do not worry about ask length, ✨ anon! My responses tend to be lengthy too lol! So don't apologize because I love it!!

Augh, I totally get what you mean about the ideas... I am plagued by them all the time lol. It's finding the time to actually use them for anything that's usually the issue.

I hope you did do some drawing in your sketchbook! I can't speak to difficulties with art, but when it comes to writing, you can't let yourself worry about doing the characters justice.

I used to care a lot about how I characterized everybody. I was always so nervous about writing for Mammon in particular that I just didn't a lot of the time. But the truth is, every writer will characterize them differently. And your interpretation of them is just as valid as anyone else's! If it's less about that and more than you're concerned about your skill level, well, unfortunately there's no way around it. You gotta write to get better at writing! You can always start with characters you're not as concerned about if you want, but I find it's usually best to follow the inspiration! I believe in you!

Also don't worry, I love Mammon, so I don't mind hearing about him lol! And OKAY I looove Good Omens! I read the book a long time ago and then re-read it several times before the show came out. And then the fandom exploded!! But it's been amazing. Er anyway, getting off topic here, which is that I love the idea of jeweler/merchant Mammon who can't bear to part with his merchandise alksdfjf- I also love knights, I have a whole medieval AU brewing in my brain meats that I would write if I had any kind of time. Royal!MC showing up like I bet I have something you can't resist... I'll get you to trade me something from your wares!! I also like the idea of MC trading a kiss for something of his and he agrees because he's surprised to find that he's willing to give up his expensive object for a chance to kiss MC tee hee~

Solomon being a menace is something I'm always up for! I like the idea that he would encourage MC to do that, but also knows enough about the ingredients himself to know that the things he's suggesting aren't dangerous. Like he doesn't know what adding this herb will do, but he does know that it won't explode in MC's face lol. Though I also like the idea of Solomon and MC just being chaotic potion gremlins and adding anything and everything just to see what would happen. Like when MC is powerful enough and Solomon feels confident that MC won't get hurt, then they're both going all in.

I kinda think ingredients from other worlds are not readily available, since it seems like Simeon and Luke kinda go through this thing where they're trying to learn to cook with Devildom ingredients. Which means that Barbatos likely has a way of procuring those ingredients when he needs them. I absolutely love the idea of going human world shopping with Barb. I'm just gonna put that in my own personal headcanon. Whenever MC says in the game that they're gonna cook some human world food or at the retreat and everything, that also means a shopping trip with Barbatos. I wish I understood why I would want to do that so bad, but I really do. Imagine taking him to a human world grocery store. Like if he said to me that I should take him wherever I normally go, it's like okay lemme take you to Aldi and Walmart lol. But then I'd be like listen, if we can go anywhere though, we should really go to Costco and Trader Joe's. I never go to Costco because I don't have a membership. Because I am shopping only for myself and I don't need fifty pounds of anything lol. And there is no Trader Joe's in my town, the nearest one is over an hour away.

ANYWAY I love all your ideas!! I hope you find the motivation and confidence to pick up drawing and/or writing again! I have no doubt that whatever you create will be amazing!

Some random thoughts on Obey Me! Nightbringer up to lesson 10 (with LOTS of spoilers)

If you ask why I'm making a post like this in this blog is cause I will defend that this is a queer coded game to my last breath –and cause is my blog and I do what I want.

Full disclosure: I'm not done with the first game yet so no spoilers for that one please. I'm guessing I'll get spoiled by Nightbringer anyways as the story progresses, and I already did lol, but I wanna gush about this game because I love it so much already.

Starting with the title screen, oh my gosh the art is beautiful. 10/10 would definitely buy a poster of this.

They continue using they/them for MC and that's a thing we all gotta appreciate. Thank u.

The layout and the art of the game is just SO PRETTY in general. Definitely an upgrade from the first game, credits to the designers and artists.

It's a rhythm game!! I like it, the gameplay is easy enough and in classic Obey Me fashion you gotta be really precise when you click or else, which adds a good layer of difficulty.

We don't have 8 different types of support items, just 4, which makes it easier to keep count of how many we have. I am still broke in-game to buy them tho.

WE CAN GET DEVIL POINTS BY COMPLETING LEVELS THANK U SO MUCH. In contrast, I feel like they give less materials when you clear a stage? I mean, they gotta balance it I guess, or maybe is just me.

The game was lagging like hell when I first started playing tho. Idk if it was the game or my phone that couldn't run it or what, but it's fixed now.

I love the fact they're using the character songs for the levels!!! I was waiting for the unit songs and they took a while, but they're there too. The remixes are fun and I can't believe how good they sound.

Speaking of sound, this game's ost is SO GOOD like huh? I was kinda expecting it cause it's a big production and all but bruh. Every now and then I end up having to stop because I gotta appreciate the bgm. There was this one funny song where a banjo started playing and I straight up laughed out loud. 10/10

Hey so y'know how you can click on the characters and get voice messages in the home screen and how you interact with them in the surprise guest screen? In neither of those I can click on Levi's tail and I consider that a crime against all Levi stans.

OKAY SO when this game was announced and as time went on and we got little pieces of the plot, not gonna lie I was worried. When it comes to time and time travel this franchise has a, well, a record. I'm still worried how it's gonna develop but for now I really like the things they're showing in the main story regarding the characters and the plot. Just, y'know, fingers crossed it doesn't become a mess.

Honestly the timeline is a mess already as it is. We met Luke and he has apparently just started learning how to bake, but in the first game he says he's been doing it for about 300 years, so it's been only 300 years between the end of the Celestial War and the beginning of the first game? Shouldn't the time be at least a few thousand years?? I'm solving this by doing a headcanon that time moves differently in different worlds cause otherwise the lack of coherence bothers me too much.

I'm so intrigued about Nightbringer himself. You think the prologue is giving us a red herring about who he is? Will it be a new character? An old one? Us from the future? They did a good job in implementing the mystery and I can't wait.

I was rereading this chat we have with them at the beginning of the game and something caught my eye:

I am an adult, my age is 21

I am a bigender woman with she/her and he/him prounous, and am perfectly fine with being called either or hehe (you can also call me dude or bro)

I have sensory processing disorder, and possibly a form of adhd (spd was verified by psychologist, and me and my parents think I got adhd from how some of my quirks work)

I am pan, all genders are beautiful, a trans ally, and therian ally! In my eyes, as long as who you are doesn't hurt others or yourself, then you are free to be you!

I adore stories that have animal characters, monsters, dinosaurs, mythical creatures, nature aesthetic and vibes, anything of the sort! Mushrooms are one of my absolute favorite little beings, they're just so cute☆

Horror is one of my favorite genres, with how you can bend designs and make things creepy or scary. Fav colors are dark purple, black, blues, greens, and brown, and I am a practicing artist. I've made some good things, but I can definitely grow in my craft, and I certainly plan to.

I want to be a novelist, just gotta work through some life stuff to get there. I try to be a positive force, as there's already plenty of negativity going around, and I don't want to be all doom and gloom. Just not how I roll dude.

Projects I'm Working On!

Wof: A Fierce Legacy: Au where Fierceteeth becomes queen after proving herself to Glory against other candidates. After some time, she has three dragonets: Two sons named Shadowglider and Sharpmind, and one daughter named Direclaws, who hatched under two blood moons. Now Fierceteeth has to grapple with the fact her daughter will one day challenge her for the throne... and Direclaws has to grapple with seeing that future.

Wof Legends: Alternate Past: Legitimately was made to give poor Foeslayer a better IceWing husband, then I noticed how much would change, so it's gonna be interesting alright xD It's also gonna be huge. Lots of stuff to cover.

Wof: A Moon Taken By Rain: A curious idea I had for an au where Secretkeeper wasn't there on time, thus Moonwatcher is taken and raised by a RainWing named Macaw. Also RainWings get a big rework, because I think it would be more interesting if they weren't uh... well what they are in book three lol. Don't get me wrong, I love my hippie dragons, but I think it would be better if did have a queen earlier on who whipped them into shape.

Wof: RainWing Succession: The story here is that Queen Grandeur of the RainWings has six daughters, and all of them want the throne for various reasons. The sisters are:

Princess Abundance, Princess Blissful, Princess Cassytha, Princess Divine, Princess Felicity, and Princess Luxurious.

Only one of these dragons is worthy of the throne, and she will have to work for it... and find out why one of her sisters has mysteriously disappeared.

This is gonna be a precursor to the Moon Taken By Rain story!

Tmnt: Beast's Embrace: Something I've been playing with for years lol. It is an Au that goes more in depth into what all mutagen can do, where it came from, and how it effects mutants, on more than one plane of existence. It's a bit of a mix of ninja turtles and Bloodborne, hence why it's called Beast's Embrace.

The brothers are quite different from their more canon selves too, because I feel like it be more interesting and make it stand out.

Mike is the oldest at 19, and the leader of the team, therapist, and the main muscle. He is still goofy and fun loving, but also much more serious and level headed, and quite noble. He is based on the Big Headed Turtle.

Raph is the second oldest at 19, though a couple months behind Mike, and he is second in command, helping plan out strategies, along with being a mechanic, often helping Don. He is more stoic, with a calm energy, though is also very brutal when out fighting. He is based on the Northern River Terrapin.

Don is third eldest at 16, and is the doc and brains when it comes to anything mutagen related, robots or chemistry. He is the most severely mutated due to using mutagen he carefully made to make himself "better", and more himself. Very eccentric, his default expression is a smile, and it takes a lot to make him change expression. He makes a lot of friends. He is based on the Roti Island Snake Neck Turtle.

And finally, Leo is the youngest, at 16, being a couple months younger than Don. He is the fastest and most stealthy, able to sneak in just about anywhere. He is very morbid and sadistic, but grows to be noble and just, as he looks up to Mike. He is based on the Bog Turtle.

So I decided, again, that in the end I think I will try to stop posting on this blog. There are many reasons, but I think the main one is just my bad impulse control. It's fun to mess around and interacte with intersting things and I appreciated the likes and stuff, but its just to easy for me to waste my time and mind on some weird social media spiral, refreshing likes and tags and shit lol. Ofcourse, I tried to "abstaine" before, be it a month, a week, a couple days, hours, minutes - but in the spirit of these manga that we all still love even if we shit on them, gotta try again, not give up, nomatter how much it takes. So yeah, thanks for all, and sorry if this sounds dramatic or worrying, it just is what it is. Hi!!! I read Your medieval au in ao3 and loved it so much. Both the writing and art were amazing and could really build up and give form to both the au and the characters. Your jay is such a complex character that is so cool and competent without stopping him from being charming and a survivor with whom it’s easy to sympathize with. Also i really like how you portrayed and designed dick grayson, I really like his mean strike and smartness to read bruce. If you don’t mind me asking out of curiosity, how would you describe the relationship between bruce, dick and Jason? And what are each character’s expectations from each other? I would really like to see how did you intend to portrayed their relationship reflected in the art of the comics,reactions and thoughts. It's hard to explain my intents without mentioning what I had to cut out. For the flow and to not bloat a one-shot fic that had already too much happening in term of "lore".  But I may as well spill the beans here. I assume you're ready for an essay since you like blogging anyway. lol  

Despite of how hard I wanted the reader to feels for Jason's struggles, my intent wasn't to portray Dick as unlikable. Same for Bruce, even if that alpha is a daker shade of gray and stays out of focus. I also wanted to avoid portraying Jason as passive or as a victim. Going with the flow, dealing with the crappy cards life throw at him with spunk is what Jason does best.

My last intent was to not disney-ize or fetishize royalty/nobles/the feudal system.

Unequal. A power balance dictated by the feudal system above all. The dogmas surrounding ABO are just the final nail in the coffin. From their age/designation/birth, Bruce and Jason represent the two extreme poles of that spectrum.  

(Dick's origins got cut out, but he was supposed to be an in-between. He wasn’t born a slave or a noble. His birth station is humble but uncommon enough it sets him a bit apart. He gets assimilated and socially ascend upon joining Bruce's pack early on his life. This involved extra elements from the worldbuilding and there was already too much going on.)

Bruce is Gotham's Earl. Powers above him exist, the crown and the church, but he controls his land however he wants.The church is breathing in Bruce's neck for Bat-man, who accidentally re-ignite a pagan tale/faith to life.

(If Bruce still seats in Gotham it’s because the crown prefers Bruce where he is. The alpha managed to bring order in what the they perceive as an accursed county after the Wayne's death. Beside he’s the heir and a noble. He is part of their clique and the lesser evil until someone better steps in.)

Regardless of Dick's origins, him and Bruce are pack. Despite the lack of blood affiliation. You can imagine Dick faces some discriminations, but he is overall pretty well accepted/assimilated since he becomes Sheriff.

As Dick grow, they become to have an “old” dog versus young dog kind of rivalry that ends pushing Dick away.  

Jason is above all a serf; a slave-born. Without even taking ABO designations into account, the peoples Jason serves have choice of life and death over him. He can be sold. He can’t marry without authorization. Same for his pups because this condition is hereditary. This is the prism between these characters.

Jason is part of Bruce's pack in the sense that he is a possession. Being an omega is why Bruce ends taking interest in him, and indirectly improve Jason's life conditions over night. Like a fairy tale that scoop him away.

He’s a glorified pet or chew toy in the service of an eccentric noble, who wouldn't be as attached to Jason if the omega was less feisty. As such, Bruce can be pretty lenient toward Jason occasionally. So long as that sharp tongue isn’t aimed at Bruce’s lordship. If Bruce likes him for his spunk and “bluntness”, Jason actually filters his thoughts around him and does as he is told.

As for Dick and Jason... They just met, and not in the best conditions. Bruce pits them against each other to get Dick’s attention.

Bruce ➡ Dick

A family/ pack. Bruce has this “old” packless alpha kind of crisis going on. Until now he always prioritized his duty over his pack. But now Gotham is somewhat in order, the Bat-man isn't as needed so Bruce has to face his loneliness in Dick’s absence. A void he can’t fill with Alfred, Jason or Tim. He's reassorting his priorities and that begin with re-bonding with Dick before the young alpha breed his own pack and truly put Bruce behind him. That's the headspace he's in atm.  

Dick ➡ Bruce

The young alpha to Bruce’s old. He’s after Bruce’s trust, respect and recognition as an equal and alpha. 

Bruce ➡ Jason 

For Bruce, Jason is a servant, pet and a distraction. An intelligent omega he trains to be versatile asset/weapon. In the absence of Dick (or Tim), Jason is a squire with benefits that won't/can't challenge Bruce. Even as Dick’s chew toy/practice dummy, Bruce expects Jason’s loyalty to goes to him first. He is found of Jason but mostly because there’s a lot about the omega Bruce takes for granted.  

Jason ➡ Bruce

Nobles are high maintenance and servitude is a hassle but Jason’s quality of life and life expectancy improve greatly. Jason gives the alpha his best but ambitions to earn his freedom (to become a free folk) after some years of service. To his own surprise Jason grows to like/respect Bruce for his eccentricities. The very things Alfred, Dick or society may disapprove of. 

Dick ➡ Jason

Jason is Bruce’s olive branch, a responsibility and a chew toy. Where Bruce asks Jason to be mindful of their status, Dick makes sure Jason doesn’t forget he is an omega. Where Bruce is amused by Jason’s spunk, Dick is way less impressed. If Jason profits from Bruce’s eccentricities, Dick knows from experience the pack doesn’t always do. This is something Dick expect to see changes after mending bonds with Bruce. A young alpha has a lot to prove (more so with omegas) and keeping the pack in line is how they typically prove their “alphahood”.

Jason ➡ Dick

Dick is someone who could be a plan B or jeopardize his goal entirely. It doesn’t help that Jason doesn’t feel beholden to Dick or like his temperament. It’s in Jason’s nature (and role as a chew toy) to push Dick’s limits when staying on Dick’s good side could be vital for him. Which isn’t always an easy feat when Bruce’s influence stands between them or when the alphas’ expectations contradict each other. But if Jason can gain anything by playing to an alpha's weakness, Jason will.

Hello There

Uh hi, my name is Brittany, and this is my first time using Tumblr. I guess you ought to get to know me, so I'll do that lol. I am a 21-year-old autistic girl with a deep love for voice acting, drawing, writing, and making videos. I'm a hobbyist voice actor who would love to someday have that be my main profession. One thing you gotta know about me right away is that I am in a lot of fandoms, and I mean *a lot*. Some include Sonic the Hedgehog, Pokemon, multiple cartoons like Steven Universe and Adventure Time, Horror, Doctor Who, Musicals, and web series like Murder Drones and Eddsworld. I'm usually very friendly to approach, but, as I am autistic and have high social anxiety, I may come off as a bit distant or nervous. It's something I can hopefully work on as I use this site more. I'm trying to step out of my comfort zone, so it'll be difficult, but sharing my passions with you all will be worth it in the end!

Now with this blog, this is mainly a dumping ground of fan art and discussions on my current hyperfixations. I'll more than likely change my icon any time I shift to a new fixation, so that would at give y'all an idea of what to expect on here for a while lol. As of right now, my current hyperfixations are Sonic the Hedgehog, Eddsworld, and The Nightmare Before Christmas, so expect to see some cringe from those franchises soon. I have a lot of creative ideas brewing in my head, so I hope y'all stick around and see what I come up with. I'll also be using this blog as a means of promoting my latest YouTube videos, so keep an eye out for those when they pop up! I'm nervous but very excited to be joining this community, so let's have some fun!

the nice thing about having friends who have faith in you, having a twin brother you can rant to and not be judged poorly (considering he himself has also been in some hot water with our extended family before, lol), having a sister-in-law you can talk to about the technicalities of things, is that it grounds you to reality. it gives you perspective, and just outright reminds you that you shouldn't let what people say online get to you, because at the end of the day, all this will pass, yknow?

i'm excited for the day i can look back on all of this and laugh about it; it'll make for a neat conversation starter with my friends. lol there's no regret in what happened. i only regret the way i let it get to me, and how i'd forgotten one of my other personal rules when i engage in fandom. but having talked to my loved ones now (and listening to bollywood music), i'm on solid, firmer ground again, so i think it's a lot safer for me now to think and talk about it, to get all my thoughts out onto paper and onto the same solid ground with me.

usually i'd write about this sort of thing on my journal, but i gotta keep the carpal tunnel at bay, so onto this blog it goes.

what happened this week was a double-whammy for me: individuals called me out for a post I'd reblogged on here with some tags I wrote on there, and a meta post that garnered some controversy about a generally accepted fanon take on a character (said take being fanon is my opinion, just so we're clear, future me).

i have hurt a number of individuals with the tags i wrote in that post, and i do feel remorseful for the way i came off, but ultimately, i do stand by them. my reasons were not stated in that post, because i spoke only in the tags; we have a limit of 30 tags, y'all. i'm not able to give all my justifications onto those tags because i'm limited (30!), and i never thought i'd have to (despite the fact that i understood that i had no obligation to), in the first place.

whether or not people choose to discern and draw conclusions about my character based on those tags alone, or if they want to reach out to me to get further clarification, that's entirely up to them. i can't control how people perceive me online, so why expend the energy to giving their opinions about me any weight, when i can use said energy for other things (like smutty kimchay art--//hits)?

the way i see it, the people who choose to discern my character and jump to conclusions about it based on those tags alone says a lot more about them than it ever will about me.

having said that...

cat!kim, bottom!kim, submissive!kim...I don't like any of these headcanons (that hasn't stopped me from reading some amazing bottom!kim fics though, lemme just say XD) because in my mind, they're heavily influenced by jeff satur's media personality and disregards the boundary between actor and character. no one has to agree with me on this, nor should anyone feel the need to explain themselves to me about why they may think the opposite, because at the end of the day, these are just my opinions. anyone else is more than welcome to think the contrary. i cannot control what people think of me through these opinions any more than i can control people giving weight to them in the first place.

autistic!kim and basically any headcanon that applies a medical diagnosis onto a fictional character...is an idea i choose not to engage in, or entertain in any capacity. that's all there is to it. am i stopping others from engaging in this idea? not at all; explore this idea as much as you want in the capacity it makes you happy. that's one of the purposes of fandom, after all. but for my part, i cannot engage in it whatsoever; i'd much rather people in this fandom just think the worst of me, call me all types of names and labels in the book, and live in ignorance about my character, than to compromise on this. i can explain myself in limited capacity in a private chat, but otherwise, i won't share any more of myself than what i feel i can or should in this public space, yknow?

as for my meta posts...i'm very glad they do encourage conversation, even if others disagree with me, but just please be nice about it. i don't mind engaging in friendly debate in private, but i will also admit that debate about character interpretation in public gives me hella anxiety, alas. it's harder to discern people's tones online, and what was once originally a debate can quickly spiral into yelling matches because of this loss of context.

but yeah, i think now i can safely say i've made a little bit of peace with this incident(s), even if i'm still processing a lot of emotions!

and with that, back to my metas and kimchay art, i've kept them waiting long enough~
