Some of my main goals for the rest of this year are:
To work on my physical health a bit more - the stress of university work and lack of energy/executive function due to mental illness led to some pretty unhealthy habits - stress eating, making a lot of unhealthy food choices, not getting enough exercise, etc. And I’m hoping to get into better habits with that now that I no longer have uni to worry about, and now that my mental health is doing a bit better and I’m gonna have a bit more money and a regular routine when I start the job I’ve been offered. I want to improve my fitness and strength, and hopefully lose some of the extra weight I’ve gained because the way my body tends to carry fat makes me v dysphoric and makes it difficult to find clothes that fit right. Hopefully by the end of this year I’ll be feeling healthier in myself, and have a bit more energy and feel more comfortable as a result!
There’s a bunch of stuff I haven’t been able to do a lot of whilst I’ve been at uni that I wanna get back into now I’ve got a bit more time/energy, particularly writing and reading for pleasure (doing a lit/creative writing degree meant I had a lot of reading to do for class, and if I wanted to read something for pleasure or write something that wasn’t for class there was always this nagging guilt that I had Uni Stuff to do instead but now I don’t have that anymore and I’ve already read a couple rly great books that I’ve enjoyed a lot since I finished). Another thing I’ve been wanting to do for a while is learn another language, so I’ve downloaded Duolingo to brush up on my French, which I learned a lot of as a teenager but the way it’s taught in schools here kinda sucks so I wasn’t especially fluent considering how long I was learning it for.Β 
I would v much like to complete some more steps in my gender transition journey - namely I want to finish the process of changing my name (there’s still some stuff I need to update, like my driving license and passport) and hopefully getting an appointment with a gender clinic to start HRT.Β

If we don’t regularly take time away from the noise to let ourselves rest and recouperate, we disrupt ourselves physically and mentally; our hormones get thrown way out of balance which can lead to a whole host of health issues and also cause to our brain chemistry to become imbalanced too. I think that often, it’s not a good idea to feel negative or unhelpful emotions at certain times. However, it would be smart to pick certain β€˜safe’ times and feel them then, while at the same time having a process or method to work through them soon or afterwards. I don’t know about this one, though. Maybe sometimes feeling negative emotions makes things worse- e.g. it makes the negative emotion grow because you’re focusing on it too much? That’s definitely true for a few emotions, where even expressing them once or twice seems to cause you more problems than not expressing them. Thoughts on the above??

Hi! One of my main goals for this year is to focus on my mental health and getting better. I wanted to start going to a psychologist again this year which I've achieved! More over, I want to work towards learning how to cope with stress ( which I'm pretty bad at hehehe)
I also want to be kinder and a bit more social than I usually am this year and also help people with their mental health.
This is the year when I want to see my self grow into a better person on the road to recovery :)

There is nothing you β€œshould” or β€œshouldn’t” do. Everything is a choice, and you are always empowered with the decision to choose what you feel most aligned to, even when it appears as though there are no options. Even in challenging circumstances, we always can decide how we choose to respond.
