Lucifer found out Alastor's secret in the Just Add Water AU because when he launched that jet of water at Alastor during the Hell's Greatest Dad song, Alastor either:

Froze the water before it could touch him, and Lucifer knew where that kind of power came from.

The funnier option. He got hit full on and ran off to transform then dry himself off, leaving Lucifer standing there very confused until Alastor came back pissed off and wearing a waterproof poncho for round two. Husk meanwhile is bent over the bar dying of laughter.

This was my favourite part of the drawing. Specially his hair and eyes. (tried to give his hair the effect of being underwater)

And it was REALLY fun defying all that I know about anatomy and mixing it with a lobster!!!

Imagine a reboot of H2O : Just Add Water except that this time, the three main characters are Indigenous Australian girls and their culture and its mythology are at the center of the show. And we get more consistency when it comes to the mermaid lore and plot.

That H2O Just Add Water AU got me in a chokehold, thinking about the relationships of three secretly-mermaid overlords (or former in Husk's case).

Husk had the power to telekinetically move water, and he figured out a trick while alive that he could manipulate a droplet of water onto the edge of ideal cards, and then he would be able to move those cards at will until roughly the end of the game. He became powerful while alive and it gave him an edge to become an overlord very quickly once he died. This edge wasn't as effective in Hell where others had powers too, he lost some games, but he still had the upper hand overall.

Until he reunited with Alastor for the first time in 40 years. They had not seen each other since Alastor's death in 1933, and Alastor was simply known as the Radio Demon, so Husk didn't recognize him. He decided to try cheating the game, but realized the mistake he made once the cards started freezing in Alastor's hand, and the way Alastor looked at him when he realized what he was doing... that was the moment Husk knew he was in deep shit.

Husk can't be sure if Alastor still played fair or if he cheated right back, but despite his own natural skill at cards, the sudden loss of his winning edge he had usually been able to rely on made it so Alastor won no contest.

Husk had lost everything to Alastor, so Alastor offered one final match for old time's sake. One last game between two people who shared a secret. If Husk won, he could have everything back that Alastor took and then some. If he lost, Alastor would gain possession of his soul.

And the rest was history.
