Because the Andromeda 5 are mostly based on little Earth animals, I have the inclination to just ask ‘what do [x] eat’ ‘how long to [x] live’ and now for context ‘how do [x] reproduce’, that latter most one more relevant to how each of the more animal-inspired aliens think about parenthood and fun stuff with relationships. But this post isn’t about the xeno birds and bees, this is simply context-
Diego the Hood Island giant tortoise, a species saving manwhore of the Galápagos Islands, has become sex-haver george of geochelene aerio and is a fucking outlier that should not be counted.
God this bitch, this goddamn tortoise Genghis Khan, has completely changed how I intend to make some xenobiology headcanons for geochelene aerios and Galapagus himself- and at first it was in the obvious way until I looked into it and found out Diego is a serial shelled womaniser. Instead, I’ve come to think of this ‘father of all’ type character and almost just imagine him to be some famous figure of sorts on Aldabra, in the same fucking scale as Addwaitya even-
That’s right lads- this is a LORE post, featuring not only this fuckboi Deogar and his millions of children, but fucking Addwaitya as well and what the fuck is up with Galapagus’ ‘by Addwaitya’ and the very clearly now monstrous Mr Genocide we have in Ledgerdomain.
Before we get into the newly dubbed Deogar and what the hell his deal is, let’s ponder a bit on why Addwaitya is such a significant enough figure to be name dropped a whole season before he shows up by a much presumably younger member of his species. And to start I believe it is best to describe that Aldabra  - before Galapagus was ever even a shred of a thought -  was significantly different than the snippet of what we got in the show.
The old era of Aldrabra... kinda sucked as- modern Aldabra would refer to this as ‘The Age of Corruption’ or some similar stuff because naming shit is hard :( and was a time very much no bueno. Think on the ‘father’ of psychology himself Sigmund Freud, who’s work influenced countless psychologists to prove his theories wrong, and on H.P. Lovecraft and his - either quoting or paraphrasing from OSP’s own Red - “delicate constitution for math”, Aldabra as a collective was filled with pseudo-scientific mockeries of the already rather mocked psychology sorry not sorry chio (and myself) and an overwhelming fear of the unknown in a world of folk who don’t even know a lick of technology yet; it’s not quite anti-intellectualism, but it is essentially philosophy turned twisted and dialed to 11 where everything and everyone if affected by it and have no feasible way to stay out of it.
Well, unless you don’t even live close enough to the cities or people at all.
Hermits, nomads and any such variation of isolationists that avoid literally any and all GA contact. Addwaitya himself was a hermit, choosing to live in one of what I’m dubbing as the domain woods, a forest of flora that blur the line between plant and animal because of their proximity to Ledgerdomain, the veil between the realities thinnest here and also in ledger plains, where more grassland appropriate flora reside. It was not simply a ‘being born and raised’ scenario for Addwaitya and his status as a hermit, but as a self induced exile from the current societies of Aldabra to live ‘away from the bullshit’ and other similar resentments.
He turned to the woods with bitter intent and vitriolic feelings, but he did not instigate what happened next.
You see, with the overflowing amount of mana that is being pumped into Aldabra’s natural landscapes, it’s juxtaposition against the scared rigidity of the time’s geochelene aerio flared up a rage of it’s own, the concrete almost brutalist cities of those afraid of the change of the world with the corrupted philosophies of minds in excess set the Ledgerdomain fueled forests and fields into a craving hunger. It’s only problem? It had no hands of it’s own to deal with it.
Many of the other Original Elders (a title to those who hermits and nomads who avoided the beliefs of the time like the plague) had refused the offer of the other world to ‘get rid of’ the corruption, for it was in their chosen separation that they do not and would continue not to associate nor trouble themselves over the political climate of Aldabra. Addwaitya however, the one Elder to have left society with scorn, would be the perfect proxy to inflict Lederdomain’s wrath.
Gifting Addwaitya with a powerful rune, one that would give him the ability to bend mana to his very will at the behest of Ledgerdomain and it’s children on Aldabra, the nature of the planet had it’s tool to usurp the control and terror that The Age of Corruption held on it’s people. And what do you get when you give a vengeful man a key to destruction and the order to act- let’s just say that war never changes but rather history repeats.
A lot of what made Aldabra bad was not only instructed to ‘be removed’, it was also the waft of bad vibes that got sponged into the rune itself, the cleansing of the flow of mana and the inciting moment of the nature apocalypse, where plant-life not only takes over the concrete towers of labyrinthine cities, but takes anything and everything that didn’t have any shred of organic life left in them. And so far as history books to the new go, what was left of The Age of Corruption (as those fully engrossed in the society) were the youngest generation that had not lived long enough to adopt the modern worldview, many children left parentless where even the Original Elders could not manage to take care of them all.
And it was this generation that this lad Deogar comes from.
As the youngest to ever get thrusted and pulled into the throes of The Wrath of the Wilds, the children of corruption grew up as one of the last generations of the entire population of geochelene aerio. Not fully living life under the new apocalypse of woods and plains, many children were lost and afraid. And those children grew up in that continued fear of the unknown, but with no other option than to face the dangers of the new world on their own and with the very real threat of extinction hanging over their heads.
Deogar, now an adult, decided that the best way to cope with this very visceral fear is to devote his life to hedonism and doing what little things he can do to give him and others happiness and good times... of which including that of the allo variety.
It is not explicitly (hah) all that he did as a lot of what Deogar did was be the shining optimist or otherwise beacon of hope for a lot of the remaining peoples of Aldabra, especially as the Original Elders were passing their expiration dates. However, outside of just generally spreading the idea of ‘relax under the summer sun’ philosophy that no one would particularly want to start a fist fight over, a very loud and very evidential result of his ‘give everyone a good time’ philosophy was the sudden spike in population thanks to mostly his own effort. In fact, a lot of others had begun to follow in his footsteps of ‘being the manwhore one was always meant to be’ not because he had inspired others with his methods, but because Deogar was really really overcompensating and the others with the parts to do so had to make sure that at least some of the next generation weren’t all half siblings.
This bitch is quite literally a species saviour for Aldabra and the modern day geochelene aerio, so much so that his outlier of kids had still skews even slightly the average children per person statistic. Something that Galapagus himself cannot even hope to achieve with one adopted daughter, let alone at home where he only really had one friend emphasis on had.
Aaaand I think that’s about it? Certainly some stuff that has been haunting me for a while (both Galapagus saying Addwaitya and that damn Diego) and this is... hmm have I mentioned outside of Poiana Lüncas any of the other Andromeda 5 planets? I know for sure I haven’t spoken much about Kiusana lmao- eh, whatever...
Wait this post is technically about love and war, would’ja look at that! Lemme tag this appropriately.

Hey, everyone! Rainfall here, I just wanted to make this post to let you all know that I’m still very much alive! I simply haven’t been working on requests as I haven’t been in a writing mood
Plus as well, I’ve been dealing with some personal issues that are causing damage to my mental health which makes me view just about everything with a “Oh what’s the point…” type of view but don’t worry as things seem to be steadily getting better
In the meantime until I fully get better, I thought that I’d tell ya about the concepts that I’ve crossovered into One Piece that I’ve managed to somehow make work with some having some serious modifications to make it work
Hope you enjoy and let’s get into it!

!-POTENTIAL TRIGGER WARNINGS-!
Sanji x Luffy, Potential Spoilers for Splatoon, Potential Spoilers for Poppy Playtime, Mind Breaking, Imprisonment, Shitty Government, Potential Butchering of Source Material
!-POTENTIAL TRIGGER WARNINGS-!
!-MINORS DO NOT INTERACT AT ALL-!
Splatoon: Salmon Run
Basically I came up with the idea that there’s this thing called the Murky Sea in the One Piece world and it’s a place with really murky waters, there are a lot of legends and rumors about things below the water that attack the islands in the Murky Sea and Ships that travel through the water
For outsiders, it’s considered just rumors but for people who live there. It’s all too real as the Salmonoids in the water attack them quite regularly, this has caused a mink who lives in the Murky Sea simply known as Mr. Grizz to create Grizzco which allows the islanders to fight and protect against the Salmonoids
Mr. Grizz in canon Splatoon wants the golden eggs so he can make mammals return to the earth and is also the creator of Fuzzy Ooze but here he’s a genuine guy whose just trying to help although he does want the treasure that some of the Salmonoids drop which replaces the golden eggs
Grizzco has done a lot for the islands in the Murky Sea and they continue to operate even today using Mr. Grizz’s special ink weapons which do far more damage to the creatures than actual guns and weapons
Splatoon: Octo Expansion
So I’ve pushed Octo Expansion into One Piece in two ways so I’ll start with the first way that I’ve tried to make it work. Basically the first way is that if you’re able to find the entrance to the large underground subway which I typically call the facility then you’re able to speak with Tartar the Phone at the entrance.
In canon, Tartar is a phone created by a brilliant scientist who is supposed to help restore the world but just winds up trying to destroy Inkopolis but here it’s a phone connected to a very dangerous criminal of the same name who went missing ages ago
You can make a wish to Tartar who will tell you to give up something in exchange and jump down into the underground where you’ll be made to go through all the trials of Octo Expansion and climb back out in order to live in the world that your wish changed
In reality, Tartar intends on letting you die in there as he’s made the trials incredibly difficult so there’s hopefully no potential for escape and as to whether or not your wish actually came true or Tartar was lying to you, that depends on scenario for me
The other way that I have Octo Expansion in One Piece is that the Facility is still run by Tartar but now he’s some sort of freak who believes that the Marines don’t jail who they should and that they don’t give appropriate punishment either
So Tartar created the facility and started kidnapping people who they thought had broken the law in their own twisted views, Tartar locked them up in the facility and told them that the only way to serve their sentence and go free was to reach the top of the facility after completing all of the trials otherwise they would be locked up forever
Tartar thought this was a great idea and kept the prison hidden, he even created special contacts that could record what the person was seeing so he could keep better tabs on everyone’s progress through the trials and also send the footage to anyone who had ties to the Marines on the outside
What eventually got him caught though was that he locked up the S/O of Magellan, Sadi-Chan, and Domino after she came to investigate. He claimed that her crime was trespassing and threw her into the trials but when Tartar sent her recorded footage to Impel Down, that got him caught as no time was wasted in tracking him down
Care Bears
Nothing special here as there aren’t colorful bears with the power to make people care running around as they’re simply a bunch of stuffed toys that one of my OC’s who is Luffy and Sanji’s kid likes a lot like she’s associated a Care Bear with each member of the Straw Hat crew
Luffy: Friend Bear
Sanji: Grams Bear (Grams Bear is her favorite so that’s why)
Zoro: Good Luck Bear
Usopp: Share Bear
Nami: Proud Heart Cat (Used to be Grumpy Bear)
Chopper: Tenderheart Bear
Robin: Cheer Bear
Franky: Champ Bear
Jinbei: Cozy Heart Penguin
Brook: Harmony Bear
Yamato: Loyal Heart Dog
Gin: Love A Lot Bear
Pedro: Funshine Bear
Yes, I am a firm believer that Pedro and Gin would have joined the Straw Hats but anyways that’s not the point. The kid has also left some of her stuffed animals with others like she gave Brave Heart Lion to Ace and left Gentle Heart Lamb with Pudding, she also left Vivi with Wish Bear
Poppy Playtime
So basically in this world, Playtime Co wasn’t an evil company that tried to do unholy experiments with souls being implanted inside of toys as in this world. They were simply brought to life with the power of a Devil Fruit that I’m still trying to figure out the name of
The toys were genuinely meant to help people with issues that they were going through as they were created on a somewhat large island that had been under a really cruel pirates control until they were liberated and put under the control of corrupt marines
So the Devil Fruit user created them and allowed them to help people, they were doing a really good job and after the toys wound up protecting the island far better than the Marines did from a pirate attack, the world government had it’s interest peaked
They approached the Devil Fruit user and demanded access to the toys, she tried to refuse as they weren’t meant to fight but the world government usually gets what they want so they took the Devil Fruit user and broke them so they would listen to what the government wanted and command the toys
This is how they got their more fucked up appearances that they have in the actual game, the toys were used for whatever the government wanted to do but don’t worry as eventually after being deployed to hopefully deal with the revolutionary army on an island that they were on, they wound up getting free and being able to return to their normal purpose although the Devil Fruit user never returned to an unbroken state of mind
But luckily the toys are meant to care and help so that’s exactly what they did, they’ve pretty much become an unofficial extension of the rebels
Monster People
So this one is probably really self explanatory as I have a bunch of OC’s who are monsters like to list some of them off
Yuki Onna who is Dalton’s wife
Slime Girl who is Paulie and Iceberg’s wife
Cotton Candy Making Robot Lady who is the Charlotte Decuplets Wife
Snow Fairy who is Rocks D. Xebec’s adopted kid
Living Doll brought life via Devil Fruit who is Uta’s adopted kid
Selkie who is Laskey (Kalifa’s Dad) wife and Kalifa’s mother
Unicorn Lady who hypnotized a handful of Foxy Pirate members after winning them in a Davy Back Fight which was just her versus the entire Foxy Pirate crew
I do have a few others who are the way that they are via Devil Fruits like a Spider Lady who is the wife of Cobra, Pell, and Chaka alongside an Angel Lady who is Nika’s wife. There’s also a skeleton lady who is T-Bone’s wife too!
I think that’s it as my crossover with Cult of the Lamb is probably stretched so far from the source material of Cult of the Lamb that you can’t even recognize it but if you’d still like to hear about it then let me lnow
And thanks for listening!

Hello! I want to start by saying that I’m totally in love your BSD works. If it’s alright, I wanted to make a request~ I’d love to see a Kunikida x Reader (preferably she/her) angst fic 💔 with the prompt “Please... please don’t look at me with such hatred, I’m begging you.” (coming from the reader)
It might be something related to a case they work on that contains a controversial topic and the reader turns out to be morally grey about it, creating a contrast with Kunikida’s snow white, ideal morals and maybe triggering his past traumas. Or anything else that you think would create a beautiful angst with Kunikida, this was just an example! The ending is also up to you, you might just finish it in a dark, angsty mood or shift to fluff/comfort; I’d probably prefer the second ending but if you don’t feel like it, I’m alright with anything!
Oooo I don't get requests for Kunikida much, so this one made me super excited to write! I hope it lives up to your expectations.
The gray between right and wrong |Kunikida x Female Reader|
Prompt|“Please... please don’t look at me with such hatred, I’m begging you.”|
Warnings| mentions of implied abuse ( the case being worked on)
Notes- there are she/her pronouns used. (third-person for a few paragraphs)
Words- 2163
~
Beneath what appears is always an underlying layer of difference. Between the right and the wrong, there is always a between. Separating black from white lay a thin sheet of gray. With every decision, there is indecision. No mortal can exempt themselves from these concepts. To be morally white is to ignore being human. To be perfect is to ignore your imperfections. Even those with the strongest of morals have moments of doubt and indecision. There is always the what if I was wrong. While a person's morals appear crystal clear and white to them, to another, to society, their morals may not be as clear as they say. While one may say that theft is gray, one may also argue theft is black. It can be gray because theft may lead to survival. While the counter-argument says it is black, as it takes what could have helped earn somebody a living without giving in return. As long as the person believes they are right, their morals can be completely white. Such a person does exist, a person who sees it all, every right and wrong choice, every counter and rebuttal, they do exist within the mundane world. Such people turn to their ideals as a way of living life. Such was the case with the agency’s Doppo Kunikida. A man whose life was completely planned out, a man who lived his day on a schedule created for his specific needs. His every movement a routine planned out without a second of hesitation. There was another within that agency who found her morals to be pure and untainted. To him, she was the ideal woman, level-headed and strong on her own. Somebody he could rely on, without worrying his schedule would suffer.
The case the two were working on was fairly simple, but involved complicated matters. Drama among the home was always complicated. While upfront one would say the situation was dreadfully obvious, another could notice something missing. These situations, especially involving abilities, can become a tangle of lies, deception, and cunning twists. This was one of the few cases one could rely on their moral sense of justice. These situations were the trickiest, lying within morally gray areas of different sizes and classifications. He looked at her walking while jotting small notes and thinking to herself. He wondered what was on her mind as they went on their way to investigate the crime. “Is there something bothering you?” he asked before looking down at his watch, it was alright to slow their pace. Arriving too early would disturb the latter of their day. Judging by their location and the remaining distance, they could half their current pace and still be thirty seconds early. Best not to risk it considering traffic and unforeseen issues could arise at any given moment. Slowing down just enough to talk would not hurt though, even if they came into a disturbance, they would be there on time.
Looking at him with e/c eyes, you shrugged. Closing your notebook and pocketing the pen you had been holding. If there was something on your mind, it would be the confusing state of this case. On one hand, there was black, murder, and on another hand, there was something else. It wasn’t white or gray, but closer to a blackening gray. Murder was wrong, no matter what, at least that was how Kunikida, your partner, would view it. To him, there was no doubt in his mind that this case was going to end in the pursuer being sent to jail, tried for the sin they committed.
Then why, why was it that you found yourself morally gray with this case? You had never been so unsure of an answer before. An accidental murder, an act of defense, an act of pure hatred. Did these concepts change the black to gray? Murder stayed indifferent, it stayed wrong, but could it be justified? Surely Kunikida would agree that at times certain morals had to be bent, laws had to be made to accustom these morals. So you answered him honestly, for lying in itself was never the right decision, even in the event to spare another's feelings, you were honest and down to earth with your approach. “The case is bothering me, that’s all.” It was not a half-truth, simply not the full reason. He never asked why, just as you never pressured to why he had so many ideals written out in that notebook of his.
Stepping inside the warehouse where the case had originally started, one of the family members stood waiting. After your kind introduction, the woman, in her late twenties, answered little of what pressed on your mind. Though she did make one small flutter of anxiety run rampant over your heart. Like a stampede of gazelle rushing to escape a predator, your heart pounded under the force. While she covered her words with unsure and terrified stillness, her hands had trembled and her words contradicted with the smallest of minuscule details. It reminded you of a memory you had. So the question softly fell in the silence. Your words pin against the stone; an unpleasant ding to stir up the room. So morally confident that an accidental death inflicted by self-defense as an ability activated unconsciously for the first time was unpunishable. Sometimes, bad people get karma in unimaginable ways. The fault falls on the cruel ways of that person. “You're the wife, so you should be able to answer with honesty. Was he kind to you and your daughters? Did this man ever hurt them?” with a horror-stricken face, the woman leaped from the box she had fallen onto earlier. Her face contorted in rage and shock. For a moment, a fading bruise showed itself on her wrist.
With a confident stare, you met her quivering eyes. The smallest tear pooling out of the corner. With such tender lips, the woman looked to the blonde you cared so much for. When her eyes settle back onto yours, she held nothing but regret. “He would have killed her, my baby girl.” She whispered such words softly, and you nodded. Walking her out with shaking hands, you smiled. “Your child did nothing wrong. The fault lays within the attacker.” Was it those words that triggered the beloved blond? So focused on comforting the mother you had forgotten you had him with you. So overly confident in your decision, you did not realize how morally gray that sentence had been. No human, no matter how evil deserves death's punishment. For most that punishment is nothing but freedom from hell. That was something you had learned from another co-worker. The suicidal maniac had a thing for death and would say the harshest yet most delicate sentences that stuck with you.
Kunikida stared in shock, never had he imagined she’d speak such words. Somebody who had fit all his ideals, somebody whom he had connected with, was justifying the slaughter of a man. It didn’t matter whether this man had hurt others, you locked a criminal up, you did not murder them. Murder, no matter the reason was murder, there was no right or wrong when it came to murder. As he listened to those words, a memory peaked inside his head. There were reasons he believed in what he did. Criminals have families, mothers, and fathers. If you kill a murderer, then the amount of killers does not decrease. The world would never be peaceful if all justice did was kill. An even punishment was required for the crime. His eyes couldn’t leave you, even as they narrowed and his brows dipped. His head shook in both shock and resentment.
Your heart nearly dropped from its cage. The look on his face was never a look you had thought you would find pointed at yourself. You knew you were right about this. Though your mind knew the decision; the thought you had come to was wrong. That it wasn't morally right, but it wasn’t wrong either. In fact, it was that heavy gray spot so many people trapped themselves within. You denied it though, saying your decision was not gray, but white. The longer you stare, the more an image is painted into your head. A loved one looking at you with such hatred, even you loathe yourself. It had been Kunikida who pulled you from that spot and showed you the light of the world. He had been the one your morals aligned to. It went silent, like the moment just before the tsunami’s wave came crashing down. When the torment of peace faltered, your hands came up to your chest and your eyes fell silently shut. Shaking your head with a striking, stabbing feeling in your gut words parted through your lips. A muffled scream, a plea to not he was not so harsh with you. “Please... please don’t look at me with such hatred, I’m begging you.” those words seemed not to reach him at first. His voice lashing out as if your words had been the lightning to this storm.
Though his voice is not loud, his words stuck with a heavy weight. “How could you say something like that?” he hissed through confusion and disappointment. Though his anger was no longer purely directed at her. The memory stirred within his mind, pulling the feelings he had about this topic to rise. “No matter how you look at it, nobody deserves to be slaughtered. A loved one always ends up feeling the fault, blaming themselves and hurting.” There would never be an exception. Even the most hated, dangerous, and cruel criminals had people mourn their death. Yet, he could not look past that to see the suffering he was causing the woman who stuck by him.
The louder his words became, the more they echoed and tore at your heart. With every passing second, you became less sure of your morals. Unsure if what you believed was truly above the others. Were you destined to be alone and isolated forever, to morally set for others to care, but not enough for him? Your voice repeated the same line again, this time your eyes leaked water. Rain was adding itself to the storm. “Please... please don’t look at me with such hatred, I’m begging you.” The words escaped your lips again as the thunder sounding about stopped abruptly. The only sound came from the rain; your soft tears. The smallest hiccup of your voice, as you tried to explain your reasoning, to explain the memory that drove you to think in such ways. To explain the view of such a thing from a female's perspective. Sometimes violence was the only thing to keep yourself alive and safe. In extreme situations, accidentally killing somebody happened. Bashing one over the head to keep them from harming you was the easiest way. Sometimes, those actions went too hard, and instead of simply knocking them out, they bled to death from the inside out. So why, why did he have to look at you the way they always did? It wasn’t fair, being a woman in an abilities world. These accidental deaths happen more frequently, men and even at times other women who seem to think they can get away with things, become victims to an ability reacting on its own, something appearing for the first time.
Kunikida glanced at the time with conflicted thoughts. His mind trying to settle on what he should do. For as much as he hated pushing things back, he knew he had hurt you. He’d never meant to lash out like that, especially not against you. Everybody had reasons for believing what they did, surely you did as well. Watching your shaking form, his arms grabbed onto you and pulled your head to his chest. The waves fell to a calm, a single drop of water plummeting before they were no more. Shock taking over your body as he embraced your shaken form. He whispered a word he did not often use in his large vocabulary. For you, he could set aside pride and show you a softer, caring side. “I apologize for… lashing out like that.” He found it so difficult, apologizing despite the difference in your opinions regarding this matter. He owned you a celebration for solving the case, but he’d brought you to despair instead. Deep down guilt flooded him, and he held you closer until the sniffling of your nose had stopped, and your shaking had come to a close. With a light smile, you reached to his cheek.
“It’s alright…” you whispered watching as the blonde pulled away and lightly patted your back, before looking down at his notebook and schedule the rest of his day.
"Great because I planned a small relaxation for later," he grumbled, with a slight red to his cheeks. This was out of the ordinary, but he'd been free enough to add it.

So, this is going to be a long, two-part ask (apologies in advance for that). Thank you so much for your Loki series thoughts. I discovered your blog by accident, and I am so glad I did. I was trying to figure out why I felt so hollow/not-great after watching the episodes each week, and your posts helped me find the answer. I was so looking forward to this series, to see more Loki, but what we got...wasn't Loki. I tried to see past the flawed writing and absurd 'plot', tried very hard, but eventually I just stopped lying to myself, and finally let myself think 'I did not enjoy this'. It is very clear that Waldron didn't bother watching Thor and TDW, and it also seemed like he only skimmed Avengers, because the characterization comes off like he only watched Ragnarok (and somehow made it worse than it was in that film). It was a huge disappointment that in a show titled 'Loki', Loki wasn't even the main character after the first (or second; everything blended together for me) episode. (Side note: I like the concept of Sylvie, but like...she didn't need to have that much focus, or take over the plot. Also...I don't understand why she was named the way she was; Sylvie Lushton was a completely different character in the comics. Show!Sylvie seems like Waldron tried to mix Sylvie Lushton--in terms of looks--with Lady Loki, and even a bit of Amora the Enchantress thrown in there. Which is...a strange choice. It would have been so cool to see Amora get an MCU appearance, especially given her ties to both Loki and Thor, but I digress.) I even, slightly, shipped Sylki for a bit due to the concept of it being interesting to me, and even did some art for it, but as the show went on, and Sylvie started taking over as the main protagonist, my interest in it waned. (I am much more of a LokixJane fan, anyway. -shrug-) I also shipped it because I just...cannot ship L*kius at all. Like you, I cannot stand Mobius as a character; you are absolutely right: he is what Pierce was to Bucky. Except this show paints that in a 'positive' light, and even worse, that Loki deserved it. I have no problem with darkships or darkfic. My issue lies with the majority of people shipping it treating it is if it is a healthy, fluffy relationship in canon, when it is clearly the opposite. (Also, ever since Mobius told Loki that his only purpose was to basically be a stepping stone for others to reach their full potential, I knew that I would never like him or ship him with Loki. Perhaps it is personal, but a toxic person I used to associate with said basically the same thing to me in terms of my role in my friend group, and it messed me up for years, at least regarding how I thought my friends saw me. It got better when we no longer were close to them, and of course it wasn't true, but still. It screwed with my sense of self esteem for a long time. So seeing my favorite character being told essentially the same thing made my stomach twist.) 1/2
2/2 (continued) And don't even get me started on how Loki's mistreatment is used for comedy. Or how he is shown as incompetent, while in his earlier appearances in the MCU, he is clearly very intelligent. (These asks are all over the place, sorry about that.) That whole 'narcissist' comment also infuriated me. Because Loki is not a narcissist. Mobius, on the other hand... His trauma also constantly being erased did not sit well with me, either. Ugh. And of course, I have to mention how, while Wanda, Sam, and Bucky got new outfits for their shows, Loki did not. Just a few of those drabby TVA outfits. (Which, I am fine with him in Midgardian clothes. But like...these did not suit him. Even Ragnarok did 'Loki in Midgardian clothes' better. :/ Now, there were some things I did enjoy, like meeting the other Loki variants in episode five. Episode one was okay, too, since I thought it was going in a different, darker direction. And there were bits and pieces of some other episodes I enjoyed, too. But as a whole? Definitely disappointed. However, I flipped through my art book of TDW and immersed myself in the beautiful designs and characters, and fell in love with them and their world all over again. (Sorry, these got so long!)
Very eloquently put! Also so sorry that happened to you. <3 So many people have been hurt by the toxic and dangerous messaging of this show. Just remember that regardless of how the show presents him, Mobius's behavior is not justified at all. Not only is he not a good friend but in real life he would face very serious repercussions for what he did to Loki and would probably end up going to jail for a very long time. Torture and slavery are heinous acts that are against the law for a reason. The fact that this is normalized in the show doesn't meant these acts are ok and I just a reflection of the moral corruption of Mike Waldron and Kate Herron and the Disney execs that okayed this. Thanks for this very thoughtful ask! And yeah. Going back to the good Loki movies is a great way to deal with this. I rewatched Thor 2011 and Avengers and I'm going to rewatch TDW soon. And read my favorite fics. And forget about this. And so glad you’ve enjoyed my blog!!! <3

I would love to hear about Taka secretly being the murderer instead of Toko!!
HEHEHEH I now have an excuse to talk about the Brainrot. Also gosh. This is real long. And kinda just a string of thoughts, though no more so than usual I guess. I got into this one
First and foremost, we got to establish how close to the Toko/Syo situation Taka would be in this case. For the sake of simplicity, we'll say it's another situation of Taka and Ishida being separate personalities, just like with Toko and Syo. I think there's definitely merit to them being the same person, but I'd have to think that over since...well I've never thought of this concept from that mindset before.
Let's consider Taka not knowing. I like that it's kinda a metaphor to some degree? Because as kids, we all have a very black and white, pure idea of morality and justice. Don't steal from others, don't lie, don't hurt people, ect. And that clear cut morality is very much in line with Taka as a character. He follows the rules! All the time! Even in a death game he'll yell at you for running in the halls. And this morality of his is so pure and simple, to the point of being childish.
But morality is not black and white in the real word. It's complicated, with tons of different factors to consider more often than not. Is it already to steal if you'll starve otherwise? Is it alright to lie if the person you're lying to has bad intentions, even if they are a authority figure? Is it okay to hurt someone if doing so saves others? Morality isn't clear cut and sometimes rules need to be broken. But when we're immature, it's easy not to realize this.
So having Taka not know about Ishida would be representative of this concept of immature vs mature morality. The immature morality, the black and white view, is unaware of the need for complexity. This would be Taka, because Taka seems unable to accept grey morally. His interactions with Mondo reflect that. When he thought Mondo was bad, he was totally bad. He was violent, lazy, and a criminal. When he decided Mondo was good, he was totally good. He was the perfect man, unable to do any harm, let alone kill someone.
So Ishida would be the mature morality, the one who realizes that the idealistic views of the immature morality are just that, an ideal, not reality. Ishida would understand that Taka's belief that, if he can just bring his ideas and morals into politics everything can be solved, is wrong. Corruption runs deeper than Taka's willing or ready to confront. And even with all the hard work in the world, Kiyotaka isn't going to be able to solve everything.
How do you solve society's issues when the avenues to legally solve it are corrupt? Who do you call when the cops abuse the people? When the billionaire has all the judges paid off? How can you uproot corruption when so many politicians benefit from it and strive to perpetuate it?
You can't. And that's what Ishida's there for. Ishi is more of the revolutionary that Taka is, the one who's willing to break the rules to ultimately create a better world to live in.
So yeah. Ishida is a murderer. He kills corrupt authority figures, those who'd would lie and bribe their way out of trouble if he didn't kill them. Because for far too long justice has only affected those who couldn't pay their way out of it. I guess he's kinda a Sparkling Justice kinda situation, motivation wise.
His calling card would definitely be different from Syo's. He'd probably leave a file of all the crimes the politician was executed for. Nobody knows how he gets the info, since so much of it was covered up, but he has it. Along with this, his victims are always decapitated. This is in reference to the French Revolution, where the people rose up and used a guillotine on the ruling class. (I’m sure there’s a more Japanese appropriate revolution I could make reference of, but I don’t know what it is.)
Now actually, how does Ishida get all that info on his victims? Not sure fully myself, but he probably uses Takaaki's position as an officer to his benifit. I'm sure he can get a lot of confidential information by breaking into police files. He has his ways.
Also, it should be noted that someone like Mondo wouldn't become a target for Ishida. Ishida doesn't deal with petty criminals, or even serial killers. He deals with criminals that'll powerful enough to manipulate the justice system to their advantage. Ishida only kills those the law refuses to deal with.
Unlike Toko and Syo, I think that Kiyotaka would be totally unaware of Ishida. I like the idea of Ishida attempting to protect Taka from what he does. Because Taka is everything Ishida fights for; to protect innocence by destroying corruption. So Ishida wouldn't want Taka to know about what he does.
Perhaps fittingly, this isn't exactly a good thing. How can Taka grow as a person, learn to be a leader himself, if he isn't aware of the corrupt world he's getting into? Taka does need to evolve into mature morality, but Ishida won't let him in his desire to protect Taka. Ishida keeps Taka innocent and naive, which isn't always a good thing.
Moving on, I want to talk about backstory for this AU. It's basically the same. Toranosuke's corrupt in his actions as Prime Minister, probably cheating many out of their livelihoods and ruining lives in the process. He's eventually found out, leaving him and his family in dept. As far as I know, Toranosuke never serves a prison sentence. I don't know why he didn't in canon, but I'm going to say he bribed his way out of it in this AU.
And all of this is...upsetting to Taka to say the least (I'm going to say Taka's like 8-10 at this point) . Because even if his father tries to hide it from him, Taka's aware of the fallout of what his grandfather did. The thousands who were cheated, the workers left jobless, the safety violations that were ignored. He knows what his grandfather did was wrong. And everybody, from the news reporters, to the people on the street, to even his own teachers, say Toranosuke should be imprisoned for what he did.
The situation is terribly unfair. Why should everyone hate him because of what his grandfather did? Why should his dad have to work all day just because of Toranosuke? Why isn't his grandfather in jail if he did so many bad things?
Kiyotaka is a passionate boy, and while he's well behaved, that level of passion wouldn't be easy for a 10 year old's willpower to contain. I think that eventually the stress of everything becomes too much. The constant bullying at school, the fact that he never sees his father anymore, the fact that his mother left them after grandfather got in trouble. It's all a lot for a child. And Toranosuke, the man behind all that heartache, is still there. An old, withered man, just laying in bed while everyone else suffers for his mistakes.
It's not fair. It's not fair that the bad guy gets away with it, and Taka hates his grandfather so much for it. Perhaps if Toranosuke had spoken to him, had said anything in explanation for what he'd done, Taka could've dealt with it better. But he didn't, so Taka didn't.
I think Taka eventually does something drastic. It's not planned or calculated in any way, more like a child having the worst possible meltdown. Perhaps he pulls out his grandfather's life support, or he smothers the man with a pillow. Either way, Toranosuke Ishimaru dies at the hands of his grandson, a young boy who couldn't handle the stress the world put on him.
And Taka's horrified when he realizes what he's done. Because he just killed someone, someone who had hurt so many people, but someone nonetheless. And regardless of how angry Taka was with his grandfather, he honestly didn't mean to kill the man.
So Taka does what any terrified child would do. He runs as far away as possible, with absolutely no plan. And it's days later before anyone finds him and brings him home. He's completely catonic when Takaaki finally finds him.
Taka's fingerprints being on the crime scene wouldn't be suspicious, since he lives there and is in charge of taking care of Toranosuke while Takaaki's out. So it wouldn't be hard to assume someone came in, killed Toranosuke, then cleaned up any evidence before leaving. After all, Toronosuke was dead for hours before Takaaki returned home.
It's possible that Takaaki knows what actually happened. I mean, Taka's still Taka. He'd probably confess what'd happened once he's less catonic. But, regardless of if Takaaki believes the confession, he sure as hell isn't going to accept it.
It’s the only time Takaaki ever yelled at his son. Not out of anger, but a panicked terror of not knowing if his son was deeply traumatized and blaming himself. or if he was truly guilty of murdering Toranosuke. He makes Taka swear to never say he killed his grandfather again.
And somewhere in the midst of all that issue, Ishida starts being a thing. Perhaps it comes from Taka’s immaturity; his childish views on morality are completely incompatible with what he’d done. And how he’s promised to never bring it up again, but that means that he can’t do the right thing and confess. It’s a horrific contradiction and a horrific situation.
Perhaps Ishida is Taka’s means of coping with that. Taka doesn’t remember what happened on that day, but Ishida does. Ishida carries the burden of that day and, as Taka gets older, all the other deaths.
Does Takaaki know about his son’s vigilantism? Who knows.
Anyway, as for in the death game. I would still say the murderer gets revealed in ch2, but I’m not quite sure how. There’s no way that Taka could tell anyone he’s Ishida (or whatever the media calls this ‘mysterious killer’), since he himself honestly doesn’t know.
I feel like it would be possible for Togami to catch him however, assuming there’s info on his case in the library. When the secrets are passed out, Taka would probably be pretty vocal about his being a “total false accusation”. After all, there’s no way he killed his own grandfather! These so called secrets are clearly just slander, right?
Given how honest Taka’s shown himself to be, Togami might think that’s suspicious that he likely honestly doesn’t remember his secret happening. Which might be enough for him to connect Taka to the string of murders. After all, Toranosuke would fit the bill of the killer’s usual victims.
I guess to get Ishida to front, Togami would have to convince both the class and Taka that he’s the aformentioned murderer. It would be...A very bad time for Taka. Bringing up a lot of repressed memories.
Also, gotta talk about Ishida a tad more! With Toko and Syo, the fact that they have such different personalities is part of the charm. So, it seems kinda lame to keep Ishida as “just Taka but loud and rude” like in canon. Not to mention that Ishida wasn’t made with Mondo in mind, so it wouldn’t make sense.
My first thought is that Ishida is almost the total opposite of Taka. He’s still just as militant as Taka, but he’s far more serious, less expressive. He probably very openly consiters making Togami his next target for the whole mutilating a corpse thing, but decides not to on the grounds that he’s a minor (and also because they’re in a death game and Ishida doesn’t want to risk Taka dying)
Also I’m realizing that, if Togami sets up the killer like he does in canon...That means he cuts off Chihiro’s head….Ew

this is what happens when u enable me lets go
(spoilers ahoy)
Firstly, here’s some somewhat miscellaneous reasons that don’t contribute to any sort of narrative analysis but are still parts of the character I like.
His boss fight is my favorite in the game thus far. It’s not super hard, but it isn’t super easy either, and I even managed to solo it on my Balance after a few practice rounds. Sufficiently challenging without feeling unfair.
His boss fight music. It is a bop and a half, go give it a listen, my soul ascends from my body a few centimeters every time I hear it start up.
His voice. I’m sure it’s processed at least a little but gotdamn his voice is so deep and spooky it startled me when I first heard it. Very curious who his actor is; I think he and Inyanga Whitestripes share the same one. Either way, very well voiced and acted.
His design is very good. It’s the perfect mix of innocuous but also spooky sorcerer fella who knows some shit. And I was afraid that the designers would try and make him like. Handsome? Under the hood? To try and make him more sympathetic? But they didn’t and I’m glad for it.
With those out of the way, the next thing to establish, I guess: I don’t interpret Old Cob to be the main villain of arc 3, nor do I interpret Raven as such. They’re definitely antagonists, but they’re not the ultimate problem; the ultimate problem is their divorce, and how they keep dragging people into their bs. It’s established the Aethyr is a physical manifestation of their anger towards each other, and as it thins, communication between them becomes possible, as Sparck puts it in this thinly veiled metaphor toward the start of Empyrea part 2.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But Cob’s still an antagonist and I love him so I’m gonna talk about that. Most of this is going to be talking about his motivations for doing what he does, since I don’t see him quite as the ‘likes to watch the world burn for the hell of it’ archetype that others might.
One of the reasons that drew me to his character is how legit his gripe is, when put in perspective. Old Cob- or Grandfather Spider, if you prefer- is not a mortal like the other antagonists of previous arcs, which establishes he has a different thought process right off the bat. This new universe was built on his suffering and he has a grudge against the ex wife who made it, so as a god, it makes some sense he’d try to destroy it and build one he would like better. He’s fully aware that what he is doing will hurt people but decidedly doesn’t care, and I appreciate that so much. He’s chaotic as fuck and he owns it, along with his superiority complex that’s as wide as the day is long.
Tumblr media
Yet his reasoning is like. Weirdly understandable? Like, if my ex-whatever put me in jail for a lifetime sentence and stole my kidney to pay for a new house or something, I too would go apeshit and want my fuckin kidney back. That’s mostly how I interpret his situation. He’s not doing this for hell of it, he’s doing it because he wants to get back at his ex because he’s bitter and petty and for the most part he knows this but he feels justified in doing do because she ripped out his goddamn kidney- I mean heart, and he wants that back.
And then, even after all that, he and his magic are treated as if they’re inherently evil. While, sure, Shadow is a ‘dark magic’, its actual properties aren’t anything malicious by itself. It is described as “a magic that changes reality,” and that’s it. Incredibly exploitable and you should practice caution while handling it, but used correctly it is powerful and helpful; this is likely alluding to the backlash mechanic, where likes decrease the percent of damage you take, dislikes increase the percent, and I imagine the person meant to be the literal embodiment of the magic in question to be similar in nature: not inherently harmful and lashes out if he feels he’s been mistreated.
Going off that, I’m not sure he ever wanted the FirstWorld to be destroyed, and therefore believes his incarceration to be entirely unjust; he doesn’t deny that he instigated the fight between the Titans, but when it comes to being accused of its actual destruction, he gets angry.
Tumblr media
...Okay the written text doesn’t really display how mad he got here, but he was like. Big Angy. Super offended. Honestly, a big part of why I love and analyze the hell out of his character comes from how his VA delivers his lines and his voice in general. If you haven’t heard it for some reason, I recommend looking it up. Anyway, here he’s basically saying he didn’t destroy the First World, and even if he did, he’s suffered enough punishment because of it, to my interpretation. The only one I remember blaming him for it is Raven; Bartleby was there, and I don’t recall him blaming anything other than the Titans for it. This is of course not accounting for the various changes made to the lore since he was introduced, but they could have easily thrown in a line like ‘And now Spider plans to destroy the Spiral the way he destroyed the FirstWorld!’ or something to make it clear it was done intentionally.
And this may very well be straying into headcanon territory here, but I think he holds positive relationships very closely to him, even if things went sour in the end; he clearly still has some remaining affection for the Titans, calling them ‘the children’ and being incredibly angry at Raven for forcing one of them to destroy his Heart.
When Rat loses in Polaris he shows up to praises his efforts and even comfort him, in his own weird way. He reprimanded Scorpion in Mirage, but it’s because Scorpion wasn’t doing what his dad asked him to and got his ass kicked as a result. As for Bat, every time they’re in the same room together he pays him some sort of compliment.
Tumblr media
Bat claims that he and his brothers are meant to be his tools, and to some extent that’s true, but he also genuinely cares about them, and it’s really interesting to see a villain defect from the usual ‘not caring about anyone other than themselves’ and openly show affection for his kids while still managing to be an incredible asshole.
In line with this is his relationship with the Wizard. There is, of course, a foundation of manipulation to their dynamic, at least to some degree. I thoroughly believe that Spider was overshadowing Coleridge, at least partly, so our character could bust him out of prison.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And while this is happening, he regains some of his spent power and removes threats to it as well, namely Morganthe, using the Wizard’s help. In fact, I have very little doubt that he was at least partially responsible for her fall; his timing on that two-liner was too on the nose.
Tumblr media
But even with that, I think he genuinely treasures the Wizard’s help and company, which is why he attempts on four different occasions to either sway them to his side, or warn them away from what he’s doing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Boy, I want that vacation, but it’s your fault I’m here.
And then, of course, his relationship with Raven, something that is basically a summation of his character arc. Laden with baggage and tragic in concept, it is my belief that most of what he’s doing isn’t because he genuinely hates the Spiral or he wants to get back at her, but because he loved her and treasured their relationship; so upon her mistreating him, he lashed out at everything she’d made and detested it as a result. But only because he felt betrayed and hurt so he has to inflict that on other people because he is, as aforementioned, a petty and bitter old fuck.
Moving off that line of thinking, an admirable quality he possesses is how smart he is. This guy has so many wrinkles in his brain it must look like a raisin. Well, perhaps not ‘smart’ exactly, but how good he is at manipulating certain situations to his advantage. Like in Mirage; you just know that he was fully expecting Mellori to be there and fully planned to use her as a back up plan, or you could even argue that the whole debacle in Mirage was a ploy to get his hands on her, while having the added possible benefit of things actually working out.
Actually his scheme in Mirage was really interesting now that I think about it. His aim was to turn back time to when the FirstWorld was whole, further implying that he never wanted its destruction in the first place. It would also, of course, be a time where he had his Heart and would have the ability to avoid having it ripped out again. This would involve not having the Titans fight each other again, or at least not starting it and suffering the consequences. It would be everything he wanted to achieve knocked out in one go with minimal muss or fuss, compared to other methods. It’s probably a part of why he shows up personally to bargain with Eerkala and the Cabal, and why he directly intervenes in our Wizard’s efforts to stop him; it was too important to trust to any of his kids, so knowing Scorpion probably wouldn’t have been able to execute it anyway, he used his kid as a distraction for the most part.
I also like looking into the fact that his element, besides Shadow, is Storm, as opposed to pure Shadow or Death, as most major antagonists are. Storm is a school based on invention, experimentation and improvement. This is something that interests me for two reasons: one, the magic of major antagonists is always a part of their character, Malistaire the most blatantly, and two, because of this line he says in Mirage.
Tumblr media
To my interpretation, this would imply that he sees the Spiral as something that could be improved. And as a god, he would of course find it his obligation to try and fix this flaw. When he made the barter with the Cabal, I don’t doubt he was being at least partially honest about restoring the FirstWorld; it would certainly fix the flaw it has in the context of stealing his internal organs, but he would also probably seek to improve it, make it more suited to Shadow or something.
Something else I find intriguing is how weirdly honest he is; I don’t recall him ever lying to us once, unless you count omitting certain facts as lying. But that’s absolutely something I can see him using against people, like “I didn’t lie to you, I just didn’t tell you, your fault for not asking ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ .” As said before, he;s really good at manipulating people and he weaponizes whatever he can; @that-wizard-oki made a really great post about how he uses conflicts- his fault or not- to his advantage, and does his own thing in the background without interruption, Mirage and Neumia probably being the best example of this, with Scorpion and the Cabal serving as distractions while he either carries out things himself or gives instructions.
To pull all of this together narratively, I think it’s important to consider this line from Mellori during one of their confrontations:
Tumblr media
He feels powerless, so he puffs up his god status. He has little power to fight with, compared to before, so he mostly manipulates and creates back-up plans while causing conflicts to serve as distractions. His love hurt him, so he lashes out at others and drags them into his problems.
You may ask, “But Sam, these are all bad qualities, why should we like him because of this?” And I would respond “Because it makes him a complex and interesting antagonist.” The kind of character that executes his shitty actions in such a way that you can’t help but respect- even just for the level of dramatics put in to it- while also having a motive that makes you stop and consider that maybe he has a point but is very much handling the situation the wrong way.
Like, c’mon, he ticks so many villain boxes. Tragic backstory? Check. Blatant thespian who owns it? Check. Gets his hands dirty before the climax of the story? Check. Smart/ manipulative/ has back-up plans? Check. Understandable, strong motives? Check.
He’s got layers. Like onion. I felt like there was always something new to discover about him, and for that I can assert my opinion that he’s one of the best characters in Wizard101.
lmao if you read this far into my simp-for-shithead post congrats. feel free to shoot me more asks on the subject bc i cant write persuasive-essay-esque format anymore my brain is rotting. if you will excuse me, im off to listen to the chronoverge combat track for the 82937487734th time

The Miys, Ch. 100
Whaaaaat....?  I never get over seeing that chapter number.
This is the chapter that will wrap up the Cult Panic story arc. I honestly didn’t intend for it to go this long, but after rushing the Plague arc, I was determined to focus more on making sure I liked how this one went than finishing in a certain timeframe.
After this chapter, our crew will go back to more ‘Humans are Weird’ content, with the fluff and comedy I think we need in current times (especially if you’re American).
Once again, thank you to @zommbiebro for letting me play with Jokul, and @baelpenrose for beta reading and helping me particularly with this story arc.
After our conversation with Jokul, he agreed rather quickly to meet with the Council.  I could even say - truthfully - that no threats were necessary.  Instead, Antoine and I had explained the level of concern Jokul and his group had eventually caused, the former cult-leader had offered to make amends and set the record straight.  The only point I had to convince him of was that the session needed to be recorded and distributed across the ship.  In the end, he conceded only for the reason that such a broadcast was the only way to regain any trust among the population of the Ark.
Two days after our meeting in my office, the Council was gathered in the same room where Arantxa’s trial had taken place. As this wasn’t a trial, instead of each Councillor having an administrator present, the six of us were joined by Jokul,  with Tyche, Antoine, Parvati, Simon, and Arthur as witnesses to attest to Jokul’s statements.
Pranav Ranganathan, as the most neutral member of the Council, opened the meeting. “Jokul Bjornson, you are here of your own volition to account for your recent actions.  To be clear, you are not on trial, there are no charges against you.  You have voluntarily submitted yourself to be questioned by us and to offer to make amends for the interruptions you and your group of followers have caused among the social structure of this ship. Do I understand that correctly?”
To his credit, Jokul was entirely unflinching. “Yes, Councillor Ranganathan. When I arrived on the Ark, I realized that humanity had endured Ragnarok, and our journey to Von was our way of emerging into the renewed world.  I never intended to start a cult, and did not realize that is what happened until very recently.”
It took everything in me to keep from cracking up laughing, just to avoid ruining the recording. The reality was, Jokul had nearly fainted when we explained to him that his group of ‘followers’ had a religious-level worship of him.  He was actually queasy at the concept, it turned out - sure he wanted followers, but he abhorred cultish behavior, ironically.
Without batting an eyelash, he continued. “I will readily admit, I am not the most socially savvy person.  The people I considered to be my friends rephrased every piece of information I received, either by providing it to me directly or by being of one mind in their conviction regarding the underlying meaning of what I learned independently.  In the end, I believed that Councillor Reid had nefarious designs towards not only myself but the entirety of people on this vessel.”
Pranav nodded. “And how did you come to realize that you were acting in bad faith?”
“Let’s simply say I had some sense knocked into me,” he managed to joke.  My chest hurt from restraining my laughter, and I was envious of the snorts Tyche and Arthur indulged in.
That, combined with the presence of witnesses who were not likely to lie for him, seemed to mollify the Council enough regarding his intentions.  Pranav took his seat, opening the floor to questions.
With an entire half-second of hesitation, Xiomara surged to her feet. “I’m sure it will come to the surprise of no one that I’m going to cut to the chase: How can we be assured that you and your allegedly-former followers pose no danger to the society we are trying to establish?  We have no jail to hold you in, our economy is currently calorie-based but we do not agree to any manual labor as punishment. How do we hold you accountable?”
He gestured to where I was sitting. “Councillor Reid is recording the entirety of these proceedings, with the goal of distributing them to the ship.  None of this will be kept in the dark, and everything I say and admit to here will be public knowledge. The entire Ark will be able to hold me accountable to my actions and promises.”
“And what are those promises?” Xio asked, refusing to give an inch of slack.
“One of the demands I made to Councillor Reid was that, should I win the challenge, she would be required to step down from the Council and would never be able to hold a position of leadership at any point in the future.  I feel it is only fair that I make the same commitment.”
My jaw dropped at this. This was a surprise, even to me, and so much so that the iron grip I was keeping on my composure snapped. The rest of the Council was in an uproar, demanding clarification.  Xiomara held a hand up, drawing attention to the fact that she still held the floor. “Please explain what you mean by ‘the challenge’, Mr. Bjornson.”
Jokul paled as he seemed to realize he slipped up. “Sophia Reid came to a gathering of my - well, followers, I supposed - attempting to parlay, so to speak. I refused to listen and made demands of her, insisting she step down from the Council. When I refused to take the path of peace, Arthur Farro agreed to negotiate on my terms, so to speak. He won, so Councillor Reid was able to have her parlay.” He waved to the room in general. “And here we are.”
That is NOT what happened, I thought to myself.  I was fairly certain I was scowling with the effort of not gaping at his explanation. He wasn’t exactly lying, but I had never seen someone throw themselves under the bus like that, much less execute an Olympic-qualifying swan dive beneath one.  Still, Pranav and Eino were looking at Arthur with suspicion, while Huynh smirked his approval at the underlying story Jokul hinted at.
Xiomara arched an eyebrow but said nothing, despite the fact that I knew she had the true story. “So, no holding positions of leadership in the future. And with this recording, you can be held accountable by the ship. Neatly done. That accounts for you. What about your followers?”
He nodded in acknowledgement. “They can only be held accountable if they are known.”
Silence roared through the chamber as my fellow Councillors weighed what he just said. “Jokul Bjornson,” Xiomara ventured carefully. “Please elaborate on what you mean by that?”
Rather than an explanation, the words that fell from Jokul’s mouth were names. One hundred and seventy three names, carefully enunciated and separated only by a brief pause. At no point did his eyes drop from Xiomara’s.  Hers only glanced away once she realized what was happening, and only long enough to confirm that I was recording this for them to refer to later.
After six minutes of names, Jokul finally finished. “Parvati Fletcher. She was only present at that last gathering, but the ideas she spread and comments she made give me reason to believe that she could be a potential traitor in the future.”
Xiomara blinked slowly, processing this information, before coughing violently. Tyche shook with silent laughter, and I was getting a headache from holding my breath to prevent laughing.  Arthur didn’t even try and rolled his eyes dramatically before dropping his head to his hands.
“I would strongly suggest keeping a very close eye on her in the future,” Jokul intoned, entirely serious.
The entire Council looked at a loss for words, unable to even start to explain the issue.
Arthur, apparently, had no such internal battle, it seemed. “Yeah. Tell you what, we’ll leave that to Xiomara, I think.” How he kept a straight face eluded me. I made a mental note to ask Miys if there were superpowers involved.
“I am quite serious. I believe the entire ship should be monitoring her,” Jokul insisted. “Why would you limit responsibility of this to only one Councillor? I understand she is over Health and Safety, but even she cannot be everywhere at once.”
Delicately, Grey spoke up while keeping one eye on Xiomara. “Parvati Fletcher was part of the group who infiltrated your organization.  I recall she acted as a distraction to provide additional surveillance.”
“But her anti-establishment tendencies - “
“Joke-skull,” Arthur interrupted drily. “They’re lesbians.”
I could hear Jokul’s jaw snap shut from across the room as he turned an amazing shade of red. “Jokul,” he muttered in correction.
Unable to speak up through her laughter, Xiomara sat down, waving at Grey to proceed while shaking with laughter at the odd turn of events.
Entirely nonplussed, Grey stood. “You said that you never set out to create a cult. I ask that you provide insight as to how we can prevent such events from recurring.”  Jokul was clearly caught off guard by the question. His face scrunched in concentration, head tilted.
After two minutes of silence, I surrendered. “Have any of you heard of a post-turtle?” I asked, earning a giggle from Tyche, who was still propping her head up from the shenanigans around Xiomara and Parvati.
Jokul and Parvati were both clearly fighting smiles, but the rest of the room looked confused.  With a sigh, I forged on. “It’s literally a turtle on top of a fence post. You don’t know how he got there by himself. He doesn’t either. But both of you know: he doesn’t belong there, he didn’t get there by himself, and he needs help getting down.” Granted, my explanation was met by a combination of groans and dawning comprehension, but it was accurate enough that everyone clearly got the point.
With a nod of acknowledgement in my direction, Jokul finally spoke. “I ended up where I was because of isolation and a very narrow group of opinions.  I insulated myself in the familiar, and that led to all of my information and discussion coming from sources with an agenda.  To prevent that, I would suggest continuing to encourage that people meet and become familiar with people they normally may not.  Cultural sharing.”
I shook my head as I heard the man who tried to kill me for my actions actually encourage those actions to continue.
And then, he took it further. “Not only with entertainment, which is optional, although they are essential I realize. Take cultural sharing into account when allocating work assignments, which are not optional.”
The last person I expected to speak up defied my last tenuous hold on reality. “I would add class assignments, as well,” Arthur insisted. When I turned, eyes so wide I thought they would fall out, to stare at him, he shrugged. “What!?  You know as well as I do that we learn through the lens of our culture. Mix up culture, you get questions you would never get normally.  Is this dish from this planet halal? I don’t know! You don’t know! But I would love to find out.”
Damnit. He had me there.
“What about further surveillance to prevent clandestine meetings?” Grey asked, dragging us back on topic.
Jokul firmly shook his head against the notion. “There is plenty of surveillance, and you cannot increase it without creating a police-state. Ordinarily - I guess ordinarily for humans? - travel is the enemy of narrow thinking. We are already travelling at light speed to another planet, but we also cannot go anywhere but this ship. The next best thing is spending a prodigious amount of time around people who are as different from you as possible, I would think. At a certain point, no matter how hard you try, that person becomes a person, and they start to matter to you. You start to care. And you learn whether you want to or not.”
Oddly, that seemed to be the answer Grey was looking for. “I concede the floor to Eino Wiitala,” they intoned officially before taking their seat.
With a nod of recognition, Eino stood. “You just mentioned adjusting our class rosters to provide a more diverse group of students in each class, which I agree with. From an educational perspective, what other flaws are lending themselves to situations such as this?”
Without hesitation, Jokul responded. “The only compulsory course we currently have is the Galactic Core curriculum, and I do agree - now, at least - that it is essential to our new start. However, there is no course in existence that covers the late 20th century through contemporary times. That would be a solid start… Divisiveness ruined our world, did it not?”
Nods echoed around the table, as he had a solid point.  I had to admit, he thought through this far more than I had anticipated.
Suddenly, the tables turned. “But you - “ he gestured at the entire Council, “do realize that most people on this ship don’t actually know any of you?”
Again, silence filled the room. I felt horrible as the accuracy of his question hit home, but Eino’s infinite calm only went so far as to nod in acknowledgement and encouragement for Jokul to continue.
“One of the underlying flaws that led to all of the recent events, I’ve realized, is that I saw Sophia Reid as a foe to be conquered. And I believed it when others told me she had designs for sovereignty. Had I known her? Were she more familiar to me as a person?” He scoffed, and for once I didn’t get offended. The fact that even Huynh had to stifle laughter at the idea that I was plotting to rule supreme may have helped.
Jokul spread his hands, gesturing at how absurd everyone found the idea. “Everyone close to her finds the concept of her seeking power laughable, it seems. Anything approaching what I thought of her would not be possible for more than a few minutes of rational thought if people on this ship knew any of you, beyond being the people in power.”
Eino nodded and started making notes. “A series of workshops or seminars, perhaps? Open forums where one of us can be asked any question, get to know people better?”
Huynh grumbled. “Or you snots could just eat in the cafeterias once in a damned while.” Everyone turned to him, stunned. “What? I know I’m the only one who eats with everyone else on the Ark on a regular basis.  Somewhere that I’m not ‘Councilor’ anything, I’m the grumpy Vietnamese guy in the corner who ordered whatever someone was eating that looked good when I walked in.”
Fair… I thought guiltily. It had never occurred to me that my love of cooking meant I rarely ate with people outside my social circle, and I realized that I had been the same way Before.
Xiomara nodded thoughtfully. “Cooking classes.”
Almost everyone looked confused.  The only exceptions were the smirk Tyche threw my direction and the look of horror I knew filled my face.
Sure enough, Xiomara turned to me. “Sophia loves to cook. What if she did some cooking classes for people on the Ark? And had other people - not the Council - come in and teach her how to make something, as well as the class?”
While that sounded marginally more bearable, the idea of hosting a cooking class in general flooded me with anxiety.  I decided in that instant that, if I had to host education courses, so did the other Councillors.  Either they would back down, or everyone would be in the same position. I could handle either solution, honestly.
Eino conceded the floor absently, intent on his notes. Pranav was next. The first thing he asked about was the proximity alerts, which Jokul shamelessly admitted to being something they found out by mistake. After Miys confirmed that they would have to replace the implants with some rated for higher electrical current in the brain, we moved on. “It is known that a significant portion of your perception of Sophia Reid stemmed from the similarity between her primary traits and yours.  However, this information is not publicly accessible. How did you obtain this information, and who among your group was able to provide her file? Educator Farro’s as well, for that matter, seeing as you are on record as referring to him as Sophia’s, quote, pet warlord, end quote.”
I was dying to know the answer to this question. I had been waiting for this question. Derek and Zach had been working around the clock for close to a month to find out the answer to this question, to no avail.
However, the expression on Jokul’s face screamed that I was about to be disappointed.
In what could only be described as extreme confusion, Jokul actually removed his data band and passed it to Pranav. “I have nobody’s file but my own. I’ve never had anyone else’s file. You are welcome to perform whatever test you need in order to confirm the truth of that.”
Taking the data band with a nod, Pranav continued his line of questioning. “Assuming what you are alleging is true, how did you obtain information you should not be privy to?”
I should have been clued in by the sigh from Simon and the subsequent look Tyche fixed him with. I should have. But, in that moment, I thought nothing of it. Like an idiot.
Slowly, as though wanting to ensure we understood what he was saying, Jokul answered. “I was freely given this information, when I first woke up on the Ark.”
My stomach dropped when Tyche kicked Simon, who managed not to yelp but tried his best to scowl at her.
If anything, the majority of the Council looked more confused. Xiomara, however, groaned loudly. “When you woke up, who did your initial interview?”
“Interview?”
“Who was the first human you spoke to on the Ark?” she clarified pointedly.
With relief, Jokul’s expression relaxed. “Simon Rodriguez. When he explained why I was on this ship, he stated that there was another person with similar attributes who they were searching for. One Sophia Reid.” He gestured to me. “When we discussed my history in the After, he also mentioned that his previous conversation was, ironically, with another warlord.” Here, he pointed to Arthur. “This information was freely given. Certainly nothing obtained by devious means.”
Recording, hell. The sound of my palm hitting my forehead was echoed around the room and punctuated by a loud crack. When I peeked around my fingers, I saw a smug look on Parvati’s face and bright pink mark on Simon’s face.
After a couple more minutes, Pranav stood hesitantly, all formality gone. “That.  That satisfies my questions? I believe so. Giang?”
“No questions,” he barked. “I will keep that suggestion in mind for the engineering crews,” he added, pointing at Jokul. “He has a good point, and we should listen to that.”
I never, in my life, thought I would wholeheartedly agree with Giang Huynh, but I found myself nodding hard enough to risk injuring my neck. When he turned to me with a pointed look, I realized it was my turn. “No questions,” I held my hands up in surrender. “All of my questions have been addressed, quite publicly.” I couldn’t resist, in the end.
Arthur smirked in satisfaction and reached for the hilt of his sword but managed not to stroke it. Jokul scowled deeply, but at Arthur instead of me.  I could live with that.
It was astonishing what I had just learned I could live with, it turned out.

I blame my own brain for coming with new things instead of continuing with the WIPs that are really in need of working on them!
Based on my recent Crack Theory of Lila having a broken Miraculous
(I’m lacking a name right now)
-
“WHAT THE HELL?!”
Lila jumped back from her desk, as she looked at the green… thing that had appeared from her earring. The thing was looking everywhere, and their eyes seemed to move independently, which only freaked Lila even more.
“Finally! After a thousand years I’m free again!” The thing proclaimed happily. Then it turned to Lila. “Took you long enough, Lila”
“How… how do you know my name?” asked Lila, clearly afraid.
“Oh right.” The thing focused both eyes on Lila. And honestly, she didn’t know if this freaked her more or less than that thing having her focus elsewhere on her room. “You know what a Miraculous is, don’t you?”
Lila nodded, a slight fury replacing the fear on her face. “Yes, it’s how that Ladybrat and that Mangy Cat get their powers”
The thing rolled their eyes, which grossed Lila out. “Yeah, that. Well, turns out your family heirloom was also a Miraculous” said the thing, pointing to the earring she was polishing before. “Some family heirloom that turned out to be, huh?”
“What” Lila made a run for her earring, picking it up and examining it again. “How?” she asked. “Why now? I have worn this practically all my life! And who the hell… WHAT the hell are you?”
“Let me begin from the start. Hello Lila Rossi, my name is Glamm, I’m the Kwami of Perception, the Kwami of the Chameleon Miraculous, which now you have in your hands”
“Chameleon?” Lila at least now knew why the thing was so weird. “Wait, Miraculous? I have a Miraculous?” she was finally processing the words of Glamm.
“Yeah, it seems that paste you stole from that girl with pigtails fixed my Miraculous”
“What are you talking about? I didn’t steal this from Marinette! She offered it to me!”
Lila quickly remembered how she had acquired that paste. Marinette was cleaning those horrible earrings she was always wearing with it during recess, and thanks to her crafty manipulations of the rest of the class, she had made her give it to her.
Glamm rolled their eyes again. “I have been alongside my miraculous for a long time Lila Dolores Rossi. I have seen every lie, omission and manipulation you have dished out. The fact that my Miraculous was broken was the only reason why your pathetic lies were believed in the first place”
“What?” Now Lila was furious. She was a Master Manipulator! She had been doing this her whole life she… had been wearing the Miraculous this whole time too… “What do you mean?” she asked more calmly.
“Kwamis are the Anthropomorphic Personification of an abstract concept. In my case, I’m Perception, how you see and how other people see you. Normally, my Miraculous allow the user to shape shift into other people, and even copy their powers if they have some”
Lila’s mind started going a mile a minute about how she could use this to discredit Ladybug.
“BUT! Ever since my Miraculous was broken, my connection to the physical world was broken too, and I was unable to interact with anything. But my power still seeped out of the Miraculous, although in a more passive way.”
Lila blinked in confusion. “What do you mean, exactly?” she narrowed her eyes, imagining where this conversation was going, but hoping she was wrong.
“My power allowed you to be perceived as you wanted. Why do you thing all people believed your frankly ridiculous claims without even checking?”
“I’m… I’m very good at lying”
Glamm raised an inexistent eyebrow.  “Really? The journalist wannabe doesn’t check with Ladybug, who she encounters every other day? The napkin to the eye is believed by a child who was able to create artificial intelligence? Your teachers believe your many many disabilities without a doctor’s note? Your own mom believes your school is closed without checking for herself?”
Lila let herself fall on her seat. “But… they always believe me… it was because of you?”
Glamm nodded. “Yes, I had no choice in that.”
Lila looked at the earring in her hands and felt a myriad of things about it. Anger, regret, disillusion... If an akuma wasn’t currently attacking the city (Either that giant baby or the pigeon guy, she hadn’t pay attention to the Akuma Alert, other that it was a repeat akuma) she was sure she would have attracted an akuma by now.
“You have a choice now, though. I know you, you probably think that you can use my power to make trouble to Ladybug, don’t you?”
Lila opened her mouth to argue, but knew this thing already knew the truth. “And what if I do, Pascal?”
“Pas… Oh I get it, very funny, ha ha.” Glamm replied sarcastically. His eyes focused on Lila again. She recoiled. “Naturally, you can do whatever you want, and I will assist you, but you are smart. You should understand what will happen now that my Miraculous has been repaired.” He waited a few seconds, until saw Lila change expressions. “Your silly lies won’t be believed as easily. Your previous lies will not be believed as easily.”
Lila grabbed the earring and tried to break it with her bare hands. Glamm rolled their eyes again. This girl really had a thick skull.
“Only a Cataclysm can break a Miraculous… which is how it happened last time, by the way, thanks for asking.”
Lila glared at Glamm. “So what do you suggest?”
“Well, like I said, you have options, and you probably won’t like any of them” Lila glared at him, but just sighed. “Well for starters, you could give me to Ladybug”
“HELL NO” she said, putting the earring back on her ear. “No fucking way I’m doing that”
“I’m just listing your options, you dolt. Option number two, you keep your life as is, and become better at lying”
“I like that one”
“Of course you’ve had my power basically all your life; so again, your lying abilities are basically the same than when you were five years old. People will catch up really quickly, and you will be humiliated, isolated and probably sued by all those people you have lied to and about to.”
Lila gulped. If Glamm was right and all her “expertise” was actually their power all along, she was very much screwed.
“Another option, of course, is what you already planned. Use my power and transform into Ladybug”
“Yeah! She will be hated by everyone and…”
“And she and Chat Noir will eventually caught you and take me, and since this is no akumatization, you will be again: humiliated, isolated, sued and probably end up in jail”
“Yeah, like they would catch me, look at their track record!”
“They always catch the akuma. The only reason Hawk Moth is still at large is because he sends akumas instead of going himself.”
Lila glared at Glamm again, but knew they were right.
“So basically, I’m screwed either way I go. I always thought getting a Miraculous would be better than this” She sunk in her chair, holding her legs.
“I’m not finished.” Glamm flied to Lila’s range of vision. “There is another thing you can try… like I say, you probably won’t like it, but…”
Lila perked up. What she didn’t understood is that while she merely thought she was a good manipulator, Glamm was the real deal, and while all they were saying was the truth, they were also playing Lila like the cheap kazoo that she was.
“There is another way to crew with Ladybug… and that Cat too, if you want”
“Really?”
“Really. Remember when you were Volpina the first time?”
Lila nodded. She had always thought that everyone was lying when they said they didn’t remember the things they did when they were akumatized, as she remembered her time as Volpina (Both times) and as Chameleon. Now she realized that it was probably because of her own Miraculous that she had her memories of those times.
“Well, you can become a hero again. A real one this time. We can help take Hawk Moth down… and easily upstage Ladybug as Paris best hero”
“We’ll have to help her?”
“Yes. And keep a secret identity too”
“Pfft, work without credit? No thank you”
“Should I remind you that Chloe is Queen Bee and still no one likes her?”
Lila looked at the kwami. One of their eyes was wandering again. Lila will take some time getting used to that quirk. And to the fact that they were right… again.
“If you really want to screw with Ladybug and everyone else, we have to play the long game. You can’t claim to be ‘Paris Greatest Hero’ on your first outing, or ‘The only hero that Paris needs’ or any of those silly things you said as Volpina.”
“That’s boring”
“But effective. Do you want to be recognized by Ladybug immediately? I mean, it’s the same for me if she takes my Miraculous, but you might have other plans…”
“But what about my normal life then? Without your powers…”
“Without my powers you might want to lay low for a while. You’ll have to fight against the urge to claim outrageous things, or to make that pigtailed girl miserable. You’ll have to play nice, for real, and try to tell the truth. Your old tricks won’t work anymore.”
Lila contemplated her new life. She wasn’t opposed to be a hero, really, having the adoration of the public would be rather nice. After all, Chat Noir was admired and respected despite Ladybug doing most of the work anyway. She would need to think on a good super hero name. A shame she couldn’t be “Volpina”.
“We could go on now, you know?”
“And make my debut be against a giant baby? No thank you.  Magnifique Caméléonne will have a debut worth of the gods”
“… Magnificent Chameleon? What did I just tell you? Caméléonne will suffice”
“… dammit”
-
Notes:
Glamm is supposed to be nonbinary, so please tell me if I refer to them as “he/him” or “she/her” instead of they/them so I can correct it.
Glamm’s phrase is gonna be “Glamm, tongue lash” unless I find a better pun.
Caméléonne is simply the french word for a female chameleon. I’ll change if there is something better. The italian word would be vetoed by Glamm as being “too obvious”, so either something in french or english. (Countess Chameleon has a nice ring to it, but it’s too long)
The Chameleon Miraculous power is “Replication”, where the holder transform into someone else, powers included. Their Five minutes start counting when they change, and if they transform into another miraculous holder, they can use their power only once, their counter is unaffected. I’m debating in whether giving them the drawback of not being able to change back until their counter runs out or not.
the Chameleon hero’s weapon is one of these bad boys
Tumblr media
but shaped like a chameleon tongue(or just without the “fingers”), of course. I was going to use a whip, but this is waaaaay more fun.
Opinions? Suggestions for Lila’s hero name?
Her suit will probably be just heavily based on her Volpina one, ‘cuz let’s admit it, that thing looks rather good.

PART 10 - videos #18 & 19
(Click here for video mirrors) - These are not my words or thoughts, I’m just summarizing what Greg / James is saying in his videos. Apologies for any offensive language or comments that may appear. - I am not repeating stories anymore and will replace these stories with brackets describing what he’s talking about. If you don’t know these stories you’re going to have to go back and read previous parts or watch his previous videos.
just super...
- Greg says basically every commentary channel has made videos about him. Says this is because they noticed he stayed quiet for so long so they felt safe, like predators, to approach and attack. They think now it’s safe to make a video and they could say whatever they want. Everyone will believe it because there’s no other side to the story. Now that they know the truth, what are they going to do? [Sarah blackmailed them, apologized] Now these channels have a choice to make. Are they going to ignore his detailed recalling of everything that happened, which is documented? Says if you look back at his old videos about these things his statements all match. He doesn’t have time to watch these old boring videos to get his stories straight. If you go back and watch there will only be a 5% error and that’s from memory problems, it was 8 years ago and some details might be blurry. - Says this is a consistent story line of him enduring crazy bitch after crazy bitch and dumping them for being crazy bitches. Like Billie. When they broke up with her she slept with a drunk dude. Sounds like she r-a-p-e-d him, unless she was drunk too then they r-a-p-e-d each other. She just casually went out and slept with someone and when he said they could get back together she said they might not want that. He told her she wasn’t dating them so it’s fine. The dude had whisky dick. - PSA to people, you don’t sleep with people when they’re intoxicated [mind blown gesture]. VeeOneEye allegedly slept with a 15 year old when she was drunk and everyone loves him now. Back then he admitted to what he did and no one cares anymore. People selectively decide to forget. When someone’s drunk they can’t consent. - Says he always wanted to pursue a relationship with his ex sister-in-law someday. They were three years apart. He was 18 and she was 15 or 16. He didn’t pursue that because it was weird. One night she was drunk and she tried to kiss him when they were alone. He dodged it, he moved his head and she missed kissing him entirely. Later that night they held hands until the morning. In the morning she said “what the F”, not realizing she held hands with him all night. As he understands, she tells the story differently, which is weird because she was drunk. - He says people talk about the FBI as if they’re so interested in someone who slept with an 18 1/2 year old. [Sarah blackmailed them, apologized] Seems like you should investigate her. He would press charges, but he can’t prove it happened. He didn’t voice record everything that was said. She apparently held onto a laptop for years and somehow just now came across things that were offensive to them? There would instantly be SWAT on someone who actually had that. She’s a liar and says she has evidence, but nothing happens. He’s telling the truth, but has no evidence so nothing happens. He can’t do a rape kit because it was a legal thing and not a psychical force thing. People say he’s older so he can’t he raped, that’s rape apology. He respected that she acknowledged what she did and apologized, but apparently she didn’t mean it because she denied it later on. What happened between the apology and now? Was it that he said he can’t handle people with BPD in a video? Says if you’re medicated you’re probably fine, but if not people with BPD are a problem to people around them. They get crazy emotional, mix up stories, it’s a psychotic world to be in. When they’re mad at you, you feel like you’re going to get murdered. They look at you with black eyes, like Sarah. They have no love for you and the rage they have for you builds up inside and they get a murderous feeling. Someone said she doesn’t have BPD, then what did she have? She was taking medication. She took his video about BPD personally and that’s when she launched the malicious and vindictive attack on him. He stayed silent because he didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings, but it’s gone too far and he has to defend himself. - He heard nothing from the FBI. The only thing he head from the police is that people online are crazy. They were professional until they went on a livestream. That’s so weird to go on a livestream and imply he’s guilty with no proof. - Someone tried to SWAT them. Allegedly it’s because Hansen paid someone to dox them. That’s according to Chris’ former Facebook page Vince took over. Vince probably knows a lot of dirt on Hansen, so if you want dirt you should go to Vince. This is why you don’t burn bridges when you’re running a corrupt investigation because you’ll wind up getting what you give. When you go after someone who is innocent and tell the world they’re guilty it’s going to come back to bite you in the butt. Sometimes what’s biting you in the butt is someone finally standing up for themselves and pointing out what a liar and fraud you are. Tells Hansen to stop being a con artist. [Hansen’s financial issues, went to jail]
email
- Reads an email from someone who apologizes for being unfairly biased toward him. They say they didn’t know how to contact him without buying the perk on his channel. He says he does that to filter out trolls. They say they were biased because they were assaulted in the past. He says that happens to him a lot, people compare him to their ex who did bad things to them. He’s not like their ex because they probably broke up with their ex for being a creep, but he breaks up with people for being a creep. [Locked in the garage story, door frame story] - This person says they can’t find a single thing Greg did wrong. He says he could have been more gentle with rejecting people, but he doesn’t let people down easy. - They say Kai was the real victim, everyone was consenting adults. Greg agrees and clarifies Shiloh wasn’t technically an adult at 17 1/2, but was legal. [Kai wanted to be Sarah’s friend, Sarah pressured him.] Greg says it was like trickery on his part because he would kiss Kai, then pull Sarah over. He and Sarah did that to Kai. Person says it’s probably harder on Kai since he’s trans and has dysphoria. Greg says a lot of dysphoria, Kai talks about slicing off his boobs all the time. - Person says people probably believe Hansen because he’s famous, but he’s not professional and a fraud. Greg agrees and says Hansen is creepy. [Chris’ wife left him] - Person says they are glad Greg told Tobuscus to speak up. Greg says when Tobuscus spoke up everyone embraced but, but Greg is a different case. He doesn’t expect to be embraced. People want to love Tobuscus, but Greg is hated. The difference is Greg calls people “fucking asshole morons” and Tobuscus doesn’t. People run on emotions, not mentally, so they lash out at him because he hurt their feelings. People are morons and he’s not going to suck everyone D’s because he wants their approval. That’s the attribute of an honest person, you can’t say what everyone wants to hear. If they do they’re lying. Says there was a guy who lied about people’s stocks always going up and now he’s jail. Never trust someone who pretends to be perfect. Greg says he has admitted his many faults. - This person says they were a Patreon before everything went down and apologizes. Greg says because he wasn’t saying anything people thought he was guilty. Even though it should be innocent until proven guilty. Karma will come around for them. - He says deep fakes aren’t 100% there yet and you can see blurs on the necks. He thinks in the year 2100 the concept of reality won’t exist because everything will be so easily deep faked on camera. No one will know what’s real. [Saw screenshots of people threatening to deep fake him.] He says he’s seen fake screen shots of his twitter. They’re just hurting their case. He doesn’t care because he’s innocent either way. [Sarah apologized for r-a-p-e] This is the reason this has been going on for months and months. People have jack shit. Says this is what happens when you pin your career on a lie, Hansen. Now you have to pay the price when your house of cards falls apart. This is Hansen’s life now until he takes responsibility. Hansen is going after someone innocent pretending to be a hero. White knights always end up villains.

Danganronpa Togami Volume 3 Part 10 (Summary)
Sorry for the long hiatus! Hopefully being quarantined means i can pump some more out now.

3.
Shinobu asks Suzuhiko to help her and he leads her to a house full of UN soldiers. After killing all of them, they walk up the stairs leading to the second floor and enter what looks like a child’s room, complete with children’s books. Suzuhiko takes out something that resembles a chocolate bar and starts chewing on it.
She asks him why he is helping Kazuya.
"We reconciled. In order to prove that we are reconciled, we just played UNO together, but it seems to have different rules depending on where you play it. When Kazuya played all the +4 cards at once I really didn’t know what to say..."
“Truthfully?”
"It's true, we really played UNO together, UKNOW? Hey, did you like my funny joke?" [1]
Shinobu finds it difficult to believe what he is saying, but that’s not what is bothering her the most at the moment. She asks whether he reconciled with Kazuya because Kazuya realized that if he couldn’t win against the hitman, the best option would be to join forces. Suzuhiko says that Kazuya simply told him ‘We’re good’ and decided to just leave it at that, noting that he doesn’t care what Kazuya thinks and that he is only interested in what can be seen on the outside.
She asks Suzuhiko to help her save Byakuya. Of course, this being Suzuhiko, he wants to ‘love’ Shinobu. She tries to tell him she could provide other options, but Suzuhiko starts to sing about how wicked she is and the concept of forbidden love between siblings. Suzuhiko asks her to get closer in a lascivious manner. She doesn’t move, so he comes closer himself, grabs her right hand and lifts her up from the chair. And then...
Suzuhiko jumped out of bed and stood in front of me, then he grabbed my right hand and lifted me up from the chair. His face approached me until the breath of two people could meet each other. Suzuhiko’s eyes, hands, and body all revealed the desire to hold me firmly. I was constrained by tension and some unspeakable emotions. My body went stiff.
"Even just having one eye is fine."
Suzuhiko put his lips on my eye patch. I felt the touch through the eyepatch and tried to escape, but because the wrist was caught, I couldn't move. Suzuhiko let his hand slide to the root of my right hand with a posture similar to a lizard crawling on the ground. Then that hand was promptly crushed. I saw the signal transmitter falling to the ground with parts such as hydraulic hoses and gears.
"They are deliberately not catching you," he slammed on the signal transmitter. "Shinobu, your movements are clear as day to the WHO. It must be really hard to be you."
"They expected that I would meet Byakuya..."
"You came to Prague without hesitation after hearing the broadcast of Byakuya Togami. You must know what you have in mind? That Byakuya Togami is in Prague?"
“...”
Suzuhiko tells her not to make that face and reminds her that both of them are now companions. Shinobu wonders that since there was a signal transmitter, if Kazuya was aware of her and Suzuhiko’s relationship. After thinking about how Kasper Hauser, who was sixteen and just released from jail, would’ve been equally as confused as she was, she is then re-assured by Suzuhiko.
After being reminded of her previous apathetic attitude by Suzuhiko, he says not to worry as he will help her find a solution. After all, she is a “princess”. He then says that he will help her find Byakuya but Shinobu is worried that he might be lying to her in order to find Byakuya and kill him since he was apparently hired to do that. On the other hand, he had many opportunities to kill him but didn’t take them. So Shinobu wonders if the hitman contract was actually a lie, and Suzuhiko says that he was lying about that and all his actions were made out of his free will.
Suzuhiko then asks her if she wants to save him just because she needs to write his biography.
"I won't write anything anymore"
She ponders giving up the Super High School Level Secretary title, now that she doesn’t have Borges anymore, but she finally feels free. She will save Byakuya as a sister, not as a secretary. Now she can feel hope and despair, she has desires and dreams. She is not a writing machine anymore. That is why she can’t write his biography anymore. Suzuhiko might be thinking about doing whatever he wants to his sister, but she won’t waver anymore. However he seems to agree with what she is saying and thinks it’s great she is trying to find her own self. So Suzuhiko decides that in order to annoy Kazuya some, he will call off the hit on Byakuya.
There was a sound coming from outside, Kazuya must be here. I was nervous, and Suzuhiko was still sitting on the bed with a calm and unpredictable appearance. I squeezed my remaining hand into a fist and waited for the moment when my brother came up to the second floor. However, it was not Kazuya, but a blast from an explosion, that which came from the first floor, alongside a smell which also came from down the stairs.
"Dahahahahahahahahahaha! What a beautiful explosion C4 has."
"C4?"
"That's it," Suzuhiko showed me what he had just been keeping in his mouth. "This is a C4 bomb. A soft plastic bomb that can change shape in any way."
"You’ve been eating a bomb!?"
"As long as it doesn't detonate it's fine. It's ordinary glycerin, but it isn’t exactly good for the body either. Well, I don't know if my brother is still alive, but it's hard to imagine a person being pulverized by a bomb and still being alive."
"Oh but, I am still alive."
Said Kazuya, walking into the room with three UN soldiers. All four looked quite angry and were glaring at Suzuhiko.
"You... Were you trying to kill me?"
"How can I kill my lovely brother? It was just a joke, just like a cat tormenting a bug!"
"Isn’t that just trying to kill me?"
"Don't mention the small stuff, since you are still alive, It’s no problem, Dahahahahahahahahaha!"
This is the way of communication between Otsuki and Kazuya. Suzuhiko always does this when he is associated with someone he likes. He can only maintain the connection with others through destruction. He who feels that a certain element is lacking in nature had once destroyed me. He can only use this method of insulting to express his affection for me. Of course, my body and mind can't bear it. After a long period of time, the three of us have finally reunited again. However, Suzuhiko not only did not repent, but even intensified his destruction. He knows that his world tends to collapse and he is self-sufficient. Yet, he is still setting up bombs everywhere.
What is going on with this guy? Self-centered. Such a creepy word came to my mind.
Kazuya refuses to accept Suzuhiko’s word that the hitman wants to reconcile with him, and turns to Shinobu… who can’t look at his gaze. To which Suzuhiko taunts Kazuya over everyone hating him.
"Sister, come to me, don't be with that guy, he will only make you worse off..." begged Kazuya.
However, at that moment Kazuya becomes all too aware of the scene he’s in and asks if the two are in a relationship. Suzuhiko comments that he and Shinobu have love. They are together. Needless, to say Kazuya begins to freak out.
"Ah... no, no, no, no" Kazuya began to move his head violently. "No, what is this? My sister should be with me. Only I can make my sister happy, so that my sister can become a princess."
"Princess?" Shinobu notes that’s the second time that word has come up.
"Yes, because I will become a prince soon."
"Sister, don't listen to him" Suzuhiko said straightforwardly "And Kazuya, let me have her and let me chase after Byakuya, I will help you find him"
"Shut up and give me my sister."
"What if I don't want to?"
"Then I will kill you."
And a lightsaber appeared on Kazuya's right hand. The three UN soldiers also quickly raised their guns. The room is full of murderous intentions.
Kazuya drops what he was holding and points at Suzuhiko with his sword.
"Tell me Kazuya, what is the principle of your sword?"
Suzuhiko didn’t seem interested in the murderousness that was pointed towards him, but he was instead looking at Kazuya’s lightsaber.
"You don't have to know."
"In any case, it must have a reason rooted in common sense. It must be something logical, not a ‘magical power’ or ‘your talented potential’ that only shows itself in a critical moment."
"No matter how you plan to get to the bottom of it, my talent will not disappear."
"Dahahahaha, do you want to talk to me about it? Can you talk about this to the Super High School Level Hitman?”
"I am also talented. The sword you see now is my talent."
"Listen well, Kazuya, there are only a few things that can happen in this world. No matter how powerful a person is, he can't change the nature of thermodynamics or go beyond the scope of physics. You know what I am saying, right? In a place where there is no way to make a lightsaber appear from nothing, this talent does not exist. Just like a person, no matter how talented, can not fly in the sky, or use a shrinking technique."
Shrinking technique? The word caused a flashback in my mind, but Suzuhiko had suddenly stood up from the bed, and now I can’t think about it. With Kazuya’s lightsaber and the soldiers’ guns pointed at us the situation was critical. However--
"Shinobu, Water Release-jutsu!"[2]
The moment Suzuhiko yelled, the room was full of smoke, but it was not the Water Releasing technique at all. The classic blinding method with smoke bombs achieved outstanding results, and they couldn’t see us.
"Let's go on a date."
In this gap, Suzuhiko lifted me up and jumped out of the window.
4.
Suzuhiko and Shinobu get in the old Skoda car and start driving through Prague. Several cars driven by UN soldiers try to stop them but Suzuhiko, who is driving, throws knives at the drivers, killing them. Shinobu feels bad for them, saying they were killed just because they were doing their job. As they pass by the Vltava River, Shinobu begins to feel uneasy because they are going farther away from Byakuya. Suzuhiko, however, is laughing away and is just itching for a chance to be able to kill every soldier the UN has and elope with her. Shinobu asks what his deal is, but Suzuhiko says not to think about it and not to pay too much attention towards his purpose. “Accept the things in front of us”, he believes it’s okay to simply take what’s happening at face value and be ignorant. Needless to say, Shinobu is still confused.
Suzuhiko goes on to say his place is looking after his brothers and sister, and of course with Kazuya he can’t say for certain how attached he is to him. Shinobu, likewise, is still wondering what the hell he is talking about, but tries to steer things along by telling him he really shouldn't be so persistent when trying for her. Something of which even Suzuhiko agrees, since he claims he needs at least a minimum of boundaries to control himself. As they drive past, Suzuhiko points out towards the hill where they escaped from the UN, thus prompting a debate as to why soldiers come after them even when they know it’ll just lead to their deaths. Why? Because it’s their work. Something that Shinobu sums up best:
"Work is like a person's identity."
Suzuhiko wonders if wanting to dominate the world is also part of the Despair High School’s plan. He believes their goal of spreading despair is strange since he finds conquering the world boring, and wonders how anyone can take something like that so seriously. “Especially after knowing about Dr. Lecter and the Joker. Who can really do what they want to conquer the world?”
Shinobu chimes in the difference between her and them in that it boils down to their chances in achieving it.
"Maybe it's because you have experienced a lot of things, but the first time you come into contact with the concept of conquering the world, I think that should feel very fresh.” she says.
The youth weren’t politically aligned to either the far-left or the far-right. This was not the case until now. Ishikawa Tochigi was eye-catching by the Meiji government. Yukio Mishima was arbitrarily arrested in the city, and Takahashi Ichiro was arrested for preparing a murder weapon. In my eyes, I only saw myself and the world, and shielded against all kinds of problems around me. From the perspective of self-realization, this method works very well because it can make a fool even if one is connected with the world. It can even make a person remain ignorant to conquests against the world.
Suzuhiko backs this and wonders if Despair High School is thinking they can add something new to the concept of world domination. The Despairs that believe their attempt at world conquest is a good thing, would she believe that their actions are related to their sense of existence? Shinobu is confused. Obviously, their attempt at world domination is related to their existence value. However, Suzuhiko believes that “as long as you are alive, your life will have value” and that it is not necessary to give yourself a purpose. Suzuhiko also says an incest joke.
"A person like me who is alive has enough value by being alive..."
Shinobu remembers Byakuya and how the truth is the same for him. He doesn’t need to be involved in the story, or fight like some action hero just to have worth. He just needs to be himself to form Byakuya Togami.
For Suzuhiko, life is interesting as long as he is alive and there’s no need to think about anything at all. Especially since he is the former SHSL Hitman. He is caged by that talent and can’t do anything else. He can’t be a fisherman, cartoonist, motorcyclist or even a nutritionist. All he can do is kill.
“Don’t you think that’s cruel? But, eh, forget it. You probably wouldn’t understand. After all, you gave up on your Super High School Level Secretary talent. The infinite future is waiting for you! Dahahahahaha!!”
Shinobu mutters that she was enjoying life as a secretary, to which Suzuhiko points out that both being tied down by their talent and finding happiness because of it, are mutual. Shinobu sums it up to this: The situation is like how young people are eager to not follow the common path that adults take. However, that being said the path they take is a ‘path’ in itself. Yet they are still happy with it, since even that is a type of freedom. Shinobu realizes she’s just been following another routine akin to a quote from Ibsen’s “A Doll House”: [3-4]
"I want to abandon this, abandon that, live alone! I am not a doll."
She’s been following a concept that had been in place for more than a hundred years. As she comes to terms with this she realizes that this was what Suzuhiko was meaning about life bound by talent.
“People want to be more free and want to fly higher,” Suzuhiko continued to say unlike his usual style. "Togami’s are also good brothers or killers. To throw all these insignificant things aside and enjoy a completely different life… don't you think we have this freedom?”
Her thoughts are suddenly stopped by when an object falls from the sky. It’s easy to avoid, but to do that Suzuhiko needs to lead the car to another street. Another object falls, and he is forced to change direction again. Shinobu knows they are leading them somewhere and Suzuhiko knows as well, but he doesn’t seem worried considering how much he is laughing. He continues driving, until he gets to a dead end.
A girl wearing a rustic uniform and round glasses is standing there. She is the Super High School Level Literary Girl, Fukawa Toko. Even though the car is getting closer at high speed, she isn’t moving. Suzuhiko then stepped on the gas even more, and decided to kill her. When the car was about to hit her, she jumped really high, avoiding the car, which braked and turned around in order to avoid hitting the wall.
Shinobu gets out of the car, feeling nauseous for the sudden maneuver, and finds Toko standing in front of her, with a pair of scissors in each hand.
"You call me..."
Toko slowly raised her head-
"I shall come..."
red eyes sparkling-
"DING DING DING!!" [5]
She shouted out.

[3] Henrik Johan Ibsen was a Norwegian playwright and theatre director. As one of the founders of modernism in theatre, Ibsen is often referred to as "the father of realism" and one of the most influential playwrights of his time. He is the most frequently performed dramatist in the world after Shakespeare, and A Doll's House was the world's most performed play in 2006. Ibsen's early poetic and cinematic play Peer Gynt has strong surreal elements. After Peer Gynt Ibsen abandoned verse and wrote in realistic prose. Several of his later dramas were considered scandalous to many of his era, when European theatre was expected to model strict morals of family life and propriety. Ibsen's later work examined the realities that lay behind the facades, revealing much that was disquieting to a number of his contemporaries. He had a critical eye and conducted a free inquiry into the conditions of life and issues of morality. In many critics' estimates The Wild Duck and Rosmersholm are "vying with each other as rivals for the top place among Ibsen's works;" Ibsen himself regarded Emperor and Galilean as his masterpiece.
[4] A Doll's House is a three-act play written by Norway's Henrik Ibsen. It premiered at the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 21 December 1879, having been published earlier that month. The play is set in a Norwegian town circa 1879. The play is significant for the way it deals with the fate of a married woman, who at the time in Norway lacked reasonable opportunities for self-fulfillment in a male-dominated world, despite the fact that Ibsen denies it was his intent to write a feminist play. It aroused a great sensation at the time, and caused a "storm of outraged controversy" that went beyond the theatre to the world newspapers and society. In 2006, the centennial of Ibsen's death, A Doll's House held the distinction of being the world's most performed play that year. UNESCO has inscribed Ibsen's autographed manuscripts of A Doll's House on the Memory of the World Register in 2001, in recognition of their historical value.

QUICK INFO.
trigger warnings: murder, weapons mentioned (knives, guns, etc.)
easton underwood was born at four in the morning in the reapers clubhouse. his mother, julie sampson, had only been there to yell at the father of her unborn child. perhaps four in the morning had been a little early for a fight, but julie was certainly a force to be reckoned with, even at nine months pregnant. she had gone into labour earlier in the day and gone about her business, as if it were just a normal day. and then matthew goddamned underwood had pissed her off once again. so easton was born on the floor of the clubhouse, wrapped in his father’s shirt and laid to rest on his mother’s chest with a leather jacket wrapped around her shoulders.
easton was born (literally) and raised in the reapers clubhouse. as he was growing up, he had never truly understood why his uncle q seemed to have hate in his heart when it came to him. he had been sheltered from finding out that his mother had been dating him at the time of his conception. perhaps it would have been okay if his mother was good at lying, but as it happened, she was aggressive and angry, little and fierce, but she could not lie to save her life. if her life ever depended on telling a convincing lie, she would die right there.
easton found himself becoming increasingly intrigued with club life as the years passed by. every time he saw a fight break out or a gun being drawn, he was glued to the spot, unable to move until he saw how everything panned out. it was no wonder that he had taken up boxing by the time he was thirteen, learning to use his fists for good rather than in school, hitting anyone that called his mother names or dared to speak badly about his father or any other member of the reapers.
by sixteen, he was, like his mother, a force to be reckoned with. becoming a reaper seemed to have been written in the stars for him. from day one, he was destined to prospect upon turning eighteen. the next two years would shape his life. he would be more than ready when the time finally came, he would make sure of that. he became more engrossed with boxing, each hit he took fuelled the next one he landed. he was a good fighter and he would make a good soldier, too. that was the plan, at the very least.
eighteen came around and easton earned his nickname ‘happy’. a smile never graced his features, not if he could help it and he usually could. he experienced happiness, just as others did, but he rarely ever showed it. his mother saw his smile, she would often tell him the world needed smiles like his, but he felt that there were enough people in the world who showed their emotions every second they felt them. the world needed one less person to fake their happiness and just take life as it came, shit and served with a glass of bleach.
easton was a good soldier, he was given something to do, someone to hurt, he did it. he took orders well and he was loyal. so loyal, in fact, that whilst being caught with an offensive weapon that he had picked up for another member, he stayed quiet and allowed himself to be taken to the station. he didn’t make a fuss, he didn’t yell that it wasn’t his. he gave a no comment interview and waited patiently for his punishment. even when they threatened him with two years inside, easton simply shrugged his shoulders and asked when he could have his phone call. those two years ended up only being five months, but they still moulded easton into a different man. he became colder, using his fists so much more than his words (not that he used them all that often beforehand), barely communicating with his friends and what little family he had left. he spent more time with the reapers, threw himself entirely into that part of his life. it became so important to him that he lost himself along the way, his friends and the people he cared most for. by the time he realised, it was too little, too late.
by twenty one, easton had killed for the first time. he was surprised it had taken him so long, but he had graduated from using his fists to punish people, onto weapons. a knife and a gun, to be exact. he hadn’t realised it would feel so... intoxicating. it was almost like a drug, the first time he took a life. he found himself jonesing for a second hit. and it wasn’t long before he had another chance. and another. and another. and another. by his fifth, easton had decided to mark himself for each one. he laid down on the bed at the tattoo parlour and found himself leaving with five smiley faces on his abdomen. and, before the year was up, he had added another three, totalling in eight.
he celebrated his twenty fifth birthday in jail, this time going on to spend eighteen months inside. just like the first time, easton stayed quiet and accepted this as his fate. truth be told, he had even allowed himself to get caught. you see, easton made calculated movements, if the police ever found any evidence that linked him to a crime, it was because he had let them. the reapers had nobody on the inside and they needed a man taken care of. insert easton. eighteen months may have seemed like a long time to kill one person, but he had to make sure everything was in place before he could do his job. besides, in that time, there would likely be more people the reapers needed to get rid of.
easton turned thirty when he realised he needed to get out. at thirty, he had twenty-seven smiley faces inked into his skin and countless prison visits for varying crimes. it was also the year his first child was born. he had had next to no interest in his own life until that moment. god, he could see why people said children were the light of their lives. now, he could find it in himself to smile, to share the joy he felt outside of himself. only to his son, of course, but it was something. to say that austin was everything good in the world wrapped into one tiny little bundle of joy would certainly have been an understatement. he knew that he had to be there, be consistent in his life. be alive. and he wasn’t so sure he would live to see thirty-three if he kept this up, killing people and fighting when he was needed. he came home bruised and bloody most nights. his heart belonged to the reapers. he would die for them. and that was the problem. he would die for the reapers and he would no longer be there for his son, to watch his son grow into a man. was he really the kind of man who could be so careless with himself whilst having a child to raise?
a year later, he was out. a lot cleaner than he had expected it to be, too. even easier? getting a job at gotti’s autobody. he figured that would have been the case, he had always been good with cars, spending what free time he had from the club at the mechanics, tinkering with his bike and others, usually much to their dismay. it was hardly a surprise when he found himself pulling on a pair of overalls in the morning instead of making his way to the clubhouse, but it didn’t mean it didn’t feel weird. wrong, almost. but he would go home and see austin and remember why he had done this. for him.
alas, the club life could never truly escape easton. he was still such a good goddamn soldier and when he was asked for a favour, he could not turn it down. after all, if the reapers would be in his doubt until he chose to relieve them of that, how could he say no? they needed somebody killed and easton was the man to do it. it was just like being back with them, taking another life. god, he had missed the rush of it all. the exhilaration he felt as he watched the life leave somebody. why had he ever stopped doing this? wait, did he have to stop it? perhaps not.
kinsley was born two years later, at thirty-three. the sweetest little girl that easton could ever have asked for and he adored her with each passing day. especially as he watched austin play with her, delicately as he could in fear he would break her. he now had two people who depended on him and needed him alive. for them. he had no other reason to stay alive and safe. if it weren’t for his children, he likely would have been gone from this earth long ago.
rumour has it, for the right kind of money, easton can get rid of anybody anything causing you trouble. he can always be found at gotti’s autobody or the alibi room, if you’re brave enough to ask !
WANTED CONNECTIONS.
best friends / ride or die - easton is hardly the friends type of guy, but somebody who has always been by his side, regardless of his life choices and how much he tried to push them away.
customers - this could be either for his mechanic work or his ... other handy work. he typically isn’t very fussy and is hardly the type to make friends with the people who pay for his services, but he’ll check up on them from time to time if it’s been a while since he’s heard from them, maybe.
childhood friends - he grew up in stratford and he has always been a part of the reapers world, so anybody else having grown up as a reaper baby would likely be included in this, but ultimately anybody around his age he grew up with and pushed away when he joined the reapers and became fully integrated into the club life. (1/?)
hook ups / one night stands - he’s had plenty of these, who hasn’t ?
friends with benefits - easton is hardly the type to categorise sex as fwb, but really, that’s what they are.
reaper buds - easton spent his entire life around reapers and even now he’s left, he’s not exactly clear of them. he’s still friendly enough with the people he used to spend his time with and would have died for. so, really, maybe one that tries to talk him into coming back and some that still have his back. (plus the ones that ask him for favours when they might get turned down and want something or somebody sorted out quickly.) (1/?)

We need to talk about Jane and Carlos…
So if someone had to ask me what one of the most underrated things in the world was, I would definitely say dcoms. (Disney Channel Original Movies)
They’re cheesy and dumb and not a single one lacks their flaws.
But they are still just so fun to watch and you just get a whole new experience from watching dcoms than you do any other movie.
Now among all those dcoms is a sub genre of musicals, being made popular by the one and only High School Musical trilogy. But we also have the Cheetah Girls, Teen Beach Movie, ZOMBIES, and the Descendants.
Now while all of those movie series are amazing in their own right, I’m gonna zero in on Descendants.
Kenny Ortega’s big return to Disney Channel and oh my gosh was it hyped up.
You couldn’t go two minutes watching Suite Life on Deck reruns without having this shoved in your face.
And you’d be dang right if you thought I was excited to see it. The children of iconic Disney characters all in one shared universe? Sign me the heck up!
Of course we got rid of cable before it came out and it would be maybe two years later until i finally considered watching it with my sister.
Needless to say our reaction could be boiled down to, “Oh. Oh no.”
Love it or hate it, as a movie lover I can say that D1 is a fundamentally broken movie on every level.
Nothing is developed enough and it relies way too heavily on you loving Mal as a character. Spoiler alert, I don’t.
But regardless of that, D1 also introduced me to a guy named Carlos De Vil.
Now i will never be able to comprehend WHY on Earth, puppy-skinning, vampire bat, inhumane beast, Cruella De Vil would EVER do the do with anyone and then still keep the baby after not killing it during pregnancy.
But she did and there he was.
Canonically physically and mentally abused by his mother to such a degree that he wakes up at night screaming.
Something Disney had never really had the guts to do before.
And immediately he charmed the heck out of me because regardless of how awful he had it on the Isle, it didn’t take a genius to see that he was a genuinely a good person at heart.
He was so clearly different and that was shown through maybe a culmination of like five minutes of screen time and Cameron’s incredible acting abilities.
And he deserved so much more in those movies than what was given to him but I won’t complain.
Because we still need to talk about another sweetheart.
Jane gets even less development than Carlos which is to be expected since she isn’t a main character, but you can still figure out and understand her if you read between the lines.
In D1 you not only get the fact that she likes to hide in her own little bubble, but she’s also incredibly insecure. So much so that Mal is quickly able to see it and take advantage of it.
Spending her whole life having to repeat that it’s not the outside that matters, it’s the inside, even though she doesn’t completely believe.
And then someone comes forward and basically validates her in her belief that she isn’t pretty, but she could be if she stopped focusing on the inside.
That’s what leads to her downward spiral throughout the movie as she lets her newfound “beauty” (seriously bobbed hair is cute and Disney needs to calm down) go to her head and she turns on Mal and the rest of the VKs.
Now while I find Mal to be completely irrational, her reversing Jane’s spell makes sense.
It’s Jane’s actions that follow.
Her, so desperate to be beautiful (literally she is so gorgeous how?) deciding to steal her mother’s wand isn’t paced very well and doesn’t make a lot of sense in the plot. But they just wanted to avoid Mal being the cause of the barrier being brought down so her redemption would be easier.
A classic Kylo Ren of avoiding direct contact and having it all be indirect so they can easily be forgiven later.
Now by all means after her actions that day, I’m surprised Jane herself isn’t sent to jail.
But I guess in D3 they show that they have an AK bias so whatever.
Now the important thing about this is that Carlos is there for all of Jane’s worst moments.
The moments where she is not at her best emotionally and it’s manifesting in bad ways. He knows that Mal had planned to use her to get to the wand in the first place before dumping her when that wasn’t going anywhere.
He knows that’s she’s afraid of them by the way she reacts to them in her first scene in Goodness Class.
He knows all of that.
And he still drags her onto a dance floor, refusing to let her be alone.
You could argue that Jay was there too, but her immediately ditched to jump on the Audrey train so…
This small moment, Carlos’ selfless act of kindness, plants a seed that most people laughed at or rolled their eyes - but all the same it was there.
And that little seed began to grow until two years later (six months in the actual movies) we get a beautiful Janelos flower.
Now D2 Janelos is some quality stuff and never have I seen so many people hate a ship that hasn’t done anything wrong.
And I think it’s fitting that Carlos’ arc for D2 is all centered around Jane.
In the first movie, he conquered his fear of dogs.
Now in this movie, he conquers his fear of being rejected by her.
Now if you’re an over analyzer by nature and a Carlos stan by choice, you tend to pick up on subtleties that Disney doesn’t have the guts to cover. Most notably, Carlos being touch/affection starved
You can see it in the ways his mother doesn’t show him love outside of threats and total, emotional reliance. In the way the VKs don’t particularly reciprocate his touches unless absolutely necessary. Or unless you’re Jay and you need to pull and alpha male moment and start wrastling.
And you can definitely see it in the way he thrives off of contact with Dude, and later, Jane.
Now somehow you people don’t think it is absolutely incredible that Carlos De Vil, physically and emotionally abused since birth, grew up on the Isle where love and dating were not a common place thing, fell in love.
And with the girl that was afraid of him in the first movie.
And omg I could talk about Carlos “Heart Eyes” De Vil forever and ever. Amen.
But instead I’m gonna talk about the three most major Janelos scenes in the film.
First one is gonna be the truth gummy scene.
First of all, Carlos’ puppy dog eyes when he’s thinking about Jane restore my life to the full one million years I am supposed to live.
People you are not allowed to overlook what Carlos was going to do in this short and beautiful scene.
Because he’s never really lived a life where he can speak his mind and share his feelings, the whole movie he’s struggling to even figure out how he can open up to Jane.
Not change his personality to get her attention.
Not making a love potion that’ll force her to love him.
No, he decides that the only way to approach it is honesty - by that I mean he agrees to sacrifice lying for the rest of his mortal life. And Mal gives him plenty of reasons to back out, most of them being about her but still, and he simply replies, “I’ll take my chances.”
Ugh.
The world did not do anything good enough to earn Carlos De Vil.
But the thing is, the truth gummy is his only hope to help him spit out how he feels about Jane. Because whenever he’s in her presence all he can do is freeze up and stutter. Simply due to the fact that when he’s faced with the chance, Carlos has no clue how to describe what he feels and what he wants.
But he knows that his heart does.
It’s in there somewhere and dang he’s gonna get it out because he cares about her so much and just wants to TELL her how he feels when he looks at her.
Of course then Dude eats it and all those years Carlos’ heart eyes had given me instantly went away again.
And then the whole Janelos plot line takes a bit of a nap until the third act of the movie when Carlos decides that Mal alienating herself from the Core Four ain’t helping her mental health and their friendship.
That’s when he drops the absolute BARS of knowledge, “Then don’t.”
He tells her that she never should change herself just to make someone else happy, you’ll never know if they really love you that way.
And I just wanna take a moment to wonder where Carlos got all these strong good person energies, because being raised on an Isle where love and dating aren’t even concepts should show in all the VKs.
Yet in D2 and D3 we can see that Carlos and Evie both seem to approach love with an impressive maturity that I can’t even fathom how they figured it out.
His advice is a comfort to Mal as well as Jay’s protective big brother move, and then we get to see the way his own advice affects him.
His Lovecraftian horror paraphrases what he said in the earlier conversation, “If she doesn’t love you for who you are than she isn’t the one.”
But this applies differently than in the Ben/Mal situation.
Carlos doesn’t try to change who he is or how he acts (unless you count the sacrificing lying thing but that wasn’t really used to earn her love so) but he gets the general idea.
And so, Carlos offers himself to her.
Just him, and a date and his love because that’s all he has to give her.
And she can either say yes and accept him and he can finally begin to understand what he’s feeling.
Or, she can turn him away - not wanting anything to do with what he has for her.
Which leads to such a beautiful scene, ugh I could write songs about the Janelos confession scene it’s that good.
First you see Carlos running at the speed of sound just to catch her, and he was definitely running around the whole campus because he absolutely needed to do this before he chickened out like every other time in the movie.
And at first it doesn’t seem to click in Jane’s head, because she’s only ever been just Jane.
Not pretty like Audrey or athletic like Lonnie.
Boys didn’t flirt with her or ask her out on dates, certainly not the boys she liked.
So of course, like the other times he had tried, she just wasn’t getting it. Too preoccupied with party planning and not getting her hopes up to let it sink in.  And that’s when Carlos does something that he didn’t even need a truth gummy to do.
He gives her a list of all that he can give her, looking into her eyes and waiting for her to take or leave it
And not only does she take it, but she fully adds all the things on the list that she’s always wanted to do with him, giving herself right back to him in the process.
Leaving Carlos absolutely shocked and overwhelmed and happy.
He just figured she’d either say yes or no.
Her giving herself to him wasn’t even a consideration in his mind.
And then she throws him for a loop once again, by throwing her arms around him and holding him tight.
And honestly, Carlos’ reaction says it all.
The first time somebody initiated legitimate affection towards him, and it’s from the girl he loves no less.
He’s at a loss for words and can’t even fathom what he’s feeling, but finally, Carlos is the one hugging back. Clinging onto her for dear life because it’s almost like he can’t believe this is real.
The next time we see them, they’re both looking super fine at cotillion; and let me tell you that seeing touch starved Carlos finally getting to hold hands and cuddle with his girlfriend makes me weak every time. You can see that for now, they’re figuring it out, they’ve both been super far away from the whole love thing so now they’ve just gotta go at a healthy pace for them.
Regardless of that, you can really see how much they not only love but need each other.
And then it was gonna be another two years until we’d get to figure what the writers were gonna do with Janelos, if anything at all.
During that time I had gotten well acquainted with the horrifying wall of Janelos hate you had to walk along before getting occasional content. So obviously, I chose to have nothing to do with the fandom and then Janelos fell off my radar again until I found the nerve to watch the third movie.
And oh my goodness remember just a few lines ago when I said that Jane and Carlos needed each other?
That was the key point of their story in D3.
While I think it’s poorly shown, Carlos’ character arc from a quiet abuse victim with a good heart to an honest to goodness hero (I’m talking the kinds they write songs about) is just amazingly beautiful and deserved so much more screen time than it actually got.
In D3, Carlos finally has something to lose.
Or, more accurately, something he needs to protect.
I really wish they had zeroed in on him worrying about Jane more, because while it was still there it wasn’t very focused on.
Not that I can be mad because their reuniting scene was something that made me immediately sit up in my chair and go, “Oh my fluffing gosh they have a thing.”
Like I’m sorry, what?
You’re telling me that whenever they cling to each other like that Carlos has that same look of just, pure happiness.
“She loves me and I love her, I’m never letting her go.”
Carlos De Vil went from someone who had never known or felt love in his life, to loving a girl so much it made me fall out of my chair.
D3 just wanted to remind us that the VKs have come very far, and now they’re happy and loved and we don’t need to worry about them.
All I can say is that Jane and Carlos are just an amazing couple if you step back and just look at what it means for them to be together.
A touch starved abuse victim and an insecure cheerleader fell in love and surrendered their hearts completely. And you don’t see that anywhere near Disney as a franchise, much less dcoms.
Bottom line, I know I went off for a hot minute but if we’re being honest I still have about a trillion things I could say about “Jarlos.”
But I’m pretty sure I’ve elaborated enough  to get my point across.
I just wanna say that Carlos would literally never let his mother come anywhere near the light of his life and that was some total BS.

Who wants to live forever; Brian May x reader
Hello all of you tumblr people you. I hope you all had a good Valentines day yesterday if not then I hope you had a blast of reading fics like I did (while also suffering through a cold yeah this girl’s been sick this week since the day after my bday) But I’m not here to talk about colds or any of that stuff, no I am here because I wanted you all to read a special Brian May fic that I have been thinking about doing.
Now I have seen a lot of fics revolving around Brian’s song “39” which is a good concept, but what I wanted to try out was the song that was made for the movie Highlander “who wants to live forever?” Which is such a powerful and sad song in itself (as is the movie). So while you all patiently wait for the next update of my Rock Angel series, every now and then you’ll see oneshots whether platonic or romantic revolving around our 4 boys of Queen.
Warnings: Swearing, INTENSE FLUFF *mostly from the Poodle boy down below*, angst, some smut *not very descriptive but minor smut none the less so >18yr olds READ AT YOUR OWN RISK. I DO NOT WANT TO GET SENT TO JAIL FOR THIS.* and spoilers for those who haven’t seen Highlander (which you all SHOULD. Queen Music EVERYWHERE!!)
Now that that’s out of the way, enjoy my darlings :)

____________________________________________________
Most people always think about what it would be like to live forever.  Never dying, never growing old, always remaining the same. Like a living, breathing photograph walking around as time changes. My cousins and I were having that usual conversation as usual since they were always fearing what would happen in the future or fearing death itself.  As we sat around our usual favorite pub having a girls day out, I was away in my thoughts unaware that my cousin Lucy was trying to talk to me.
“(Y/n). (y/n)? Earth to (Y/n)!” I snapped out of my dazed state and said.
“Hmm wha? What did you say?”
“Jesus (n/n), you were so deep in your head you were almost drooling.” Lucy teased.
“Probably dreaming and thinking about that husband of hers.” My other cousin Hanna said.
“Fuck you both.” I said as I downed down my whiskey shot.
“Wow what a mouth. You kiss Brian with that?” asked Hanna in mock shock.
“In all honesty, how are things going between the two of you?”
“Things are great, the kids are good. Queen has been doing good, right now they’ve just got accepted into recording for a movie. But I’m not allowed to talk about it.”
“Aww come on (n/n) we promise not to tell.”
“Yeah right Luce. For all the years I’ve known you, you’ve got the biggest niche for gossip. If I told you then half of London will know what’s going on.” I sassed her.
“Wow harsh. You wound me so much (n/n).” she said as she placed her hand over her heart while I stuck my tongue at her chuckling at her.
“Back to our conversation before, you never gave us an answer. In fact you barely give us an answer at all when we talk about this. What do you think about living forever?” Hanna said.  I looked at her and said.
“I don’t know guys I mean…..”
“Oh come on (y/n). Haven’t you ever thought about it? Not even once? Never getting any older, remaining as beautiful as you are today. Seeing how the world changes each generation. You and Brian staying together forever.” Hanna stated the last phrase slyly.
At that statement my ears perked up.
“What are you saying?”
“I’m saying that you and Brian could remain together forever. Never once having to see the other die and remain alone suffering until it’s your time to kick the bucket. You and Brian would remain eternal forever.”
Okay well that may have persuaded me to side on the wishing to live forever.  The rest of the day my cousins and I continued to chat, eat and drink until it was time to call it a day and get back before the husbands did.
I was in the kitchen making dinner while Jimmy and Louisa were watching TV.  As I was cutting up the vegetables for the salsa and as I put them into the pot, I felt two arms wrap around me which startled me before I relaxed and knew who it was.
“Jesus, you know how I feel about you sneaking up like a tom cat while I’m cooking. Don’t you remember the last time when I nearly chopped off my finger because of you?”
“Which I why I timed it better. I thought you’d be happy to see me?” I turned towards my husband of 10 years and boyfriend of 18 years.  Brian and I had met each other during University back when he and Roger were still with Tim as Smile.  He and I were both the same majors so we both had the same physics professor, he was so shy so I actually approached him and asked him out on a date.
One coffee date turned to another and soon we shared our first kiss with each other. And at that moment the two of us kissed, I knew he was the one.  Because it felt like I was kissing myself, meaning that I had found my soulmate.  I was there supporting Brian all throughout the Smile career and then when Freddie came along and changed Smile to Queen and their careers as rock stars skyrocketed, I remained loyal to Brian’s side.
But of course like every relationship there’s arguments especially when I had fallen pregnant with our son Jimmy a few years ago.  There have been some fights so bad that I felt like we’d ended up divorced but like a family, we tried to make it work and we just fit so well together that we ended up staying together.  Because that’s what we are.
Two stars forming the same constellation.
I turned back around towards Brian and said.
“You know I always am.” He leaned downward and captured my lips with his in a genuine kiss.  I let out a soft moan as I wrapped my arm around his neck burying my hand into his mess of curls.  I turned around so that his arms wrapped around my waist bringing me closer, deepening our kiss when we heard.
“EWWWW!!!” Brian and I separated from each other to see Jimmy at the kitchen entrance and I buried my face embarrassed into Brian’s chest and that’s when Jimmy said again.  “Why must you two kiss? That’s gross”
“Because your mother is beautiful and you always kiss a beautiful girl. One day you will understand Jimmy.”
“Girls are nasty!” he groaned out.
“Oh so does that make me disgusting? Huh?” I chased after my son who raced off before finally catching him and tickling me and pretending to gobble him up.
After having supper and putting the kids to bed, I was in the bathroom getting ready for bed myself after having a long day at the lab while Brian was on the bed and I could hear him humming and mumbling to himself.
Whenever he’s inspired or trying out new guitar riffs, he’s always mumbling to himself just so he could test it out.  Sometimes he uses a tape recorder just so he could go back to it, sometimes he doesn’t it just really depends.  But I know that when he’s mumbling to himself to not disturb him so that he wouldn’t lose it.
So I just listened to his humming and babbling.  It sounded more like a ballad than the usual rock and roll that he would do. And I thought it was only just one song that the boys agreed to do with the movie they’re working on.  Once I was done getting around, I got into bed and just listened to Brian as he kept writing down on pieces of paper lyrics and guitar notes.  When he finally took a break, I finally spoke up.
“That’s beautiful. Is it for the movie?”
“Yeah, we actually got to see the first footage of it. And after seeing it, we had to write more. This is my song for it.”
“So you and the boys got to see the movie? Remind me what’s it called again?”
“Highlander.”
“Ahh. So what happens in it?” Brian turned to me and he said.
“Ohh no love, we were sworn to not give away any plot points. You’ll find out when we go see it at the premiere.”
“Come on Brian you know I can keep a secret.” I said as I crawled up towards him and wrapped my arms around his shoulders and burying my face into his neck.
“Why must you always seduce me to get something out of me?” he asked. I kissed his jawline and whispered in his ear.
“Because I know it works.” He turned towards me and his eyes turned to pure lust as he said.
“You Dr. May are a siren of the seas.”
“And just what are you going to do about that Dr. May? You gonna show me the stars?” He crawled over me so that I was now lying on the bed, his face barely inches away from mine as he whispered.
“I’ll show you more than just the stars my love.” He captured my lips in a passionate and heated kiss and our tongues dancing together in a heated dance.
It’s unbelievable that after all this time together, Brian can still make sparks fly off my sky with either a single graze of his long, calloused but delicate guitar fingers, a kiss onto my skin, or whispers in my ear.  Our bodies intertwined with each other in a sensual yet love making dance.  All the while staring deeply into each other’s eyes not once breaking contact with each other as every now and then our lips would graze against each other’s before joining together in a passionate meld once again.
By the end of it all, Brian and I were cuddled together my head resting on his chest hearing his heartbeat his right arm was wrapped securely around my waist tracing patterns and shapes along my back while his left hand was stroking down my hair.  I stroked through his chest hair softly while feeling a kiss being placed at the crown of my head.
“Do you ever wonder what it would be like to live forever?” I asked out of the blue. I felt Brian’s head move away from mine and I looked up at him and he asked.
“What brought this up?”
“Just a common topic my cousins like to talk about. This time they really wanted my opinion on it. Tried to make me side with the idea.”
“And do you?”
“If it meant you and I would be together forever…..maybe. Is that bad?” I asked genuinely wondering if I had answered the question right.  Even for a female astrophysicist like myself who knows pretty much everything about the cosmos and the galaxy, this was one answer I had doubts about.  Brian leaned his forehead against mine, our noses gently grazing one another’s and he said.
“I think there might be a trial to that question that will make you rethink it. But it will have to wait a few more months.” He gingerly brushed away some strands of my hair away before cupping my cheek lovingly.  “Sleep now my darling, you look exhausted.”
“You have no idea. Discovering new planets and stars really drains you. You’re lucky you don’t have to deal with that.”
“One day I will though. That way I can be around you more.” He brought me closer to him before kissing my nose delicately making me scrunch it up which made him chuckle softly. “You always make the cutest face when you scrunch your nose love.”
“Yeah right.”
“No, no I mean it. But then you’re cute all the time.” I shook my head at his cheesiness and said to him.
Goodnight my bright moon.”
“Sleep well, my shining star.” He whispered lovingly as he pressed his forehead against mine.  We kissed each other one last time before cuddling with each other and falling asleep in each other’s arms.
Then on March 7th, 1986 we went to America for the premiere of “Highlander”. Queen was invited to walk the red carpet since they were in charge of the music so they had immediate invites. After walking the red carpet and the press getting the pictures they wanted from the actors, film crew and even of Queen, we all piled in the Chinese theater and soon the film began.
Highlander told the story of a man named Connor Macleod who had been chosen to become an immortal and each immortal is chosen to battle each other until one can remain and claim the ultimate prize.  If used for good the prize would bring about goodness, but in the hands of evil it would be nothing but chaos.
Along with the action, there was a tragedy to it.  Connor had to outlive everyone he ever came in contact with.  His first wife sided with his village and drove him out because they thought he had made a pact with the devil to remain alive after being slain in battle.  It wasn’t until he met his true love Heather.
After a tragic scene that happened I heard the sound of an organ starting up and soon my husband’s soft angelic voice began to sing as the scene went to a flashback of Heather and Connor together after Juan was killed by the Kurgan.  As the scene went on, I felt this ache in my heart as Freddie’s voice soon came up and as Connor rode back to their house calling out for Heather that’s when the tears really spilled out.
Because Heather was now an old woman greying and wrinkled while Connor remained unphased and young.  But he still held the same love as he had when she was younger.
As Heather and Connor had their last moments together as the song now played its instrumental track, tears were spilling down my face as Heather made Connor promise to light a candle for her on her birthday.  As she now lay in Connor’s lap and Connor was describing the Highlands to her, I felt Brian take my hand and as I turned to him, he leaned his forehead against mine and kissed away my tears as we turned back to the screen as Heather now died and Connor burned his home and had to move on.
Heartbroken and alone.
By the end of the movie, people clapped and I wiped away my tears and clapped along with them.  Now seeing the movie began to change my perspective on eternal life, and now I know exactly what to tell my cousins next time the three of us are together.
Getting back to the hotel room, I immediately grabbed Brian by the collar of his suit and kissed him passionately.  His arms wrapped around me and when air became a burden, I separated from him and he said.
“I take it you loved the song?”
“Brian Harold May, you are a musical angel. Why must you always write the most beautiful yet sad songs for Queen?” He smiled down at me and kissed me softly before holding me close.
That night we were both cuddled into the bed, our limbs entangled with one another’s as I had my face buried into the crook of my husband’s neck.
“I couldn’t bear to outlive any of the boys, our kids. Grandkids. People always look at eternal life as this positive thing. But they don’t understand that it’s not all that happy. It must be so lonely. I hope folks get that out of this movie.”
“I hope so too. I also know this,” he gently hooked his index finger underneath my chin and had me look up at him as he continued, “If I were offered whether to live forever or dying at your side. I would choose the latter. Because I would rather share one lifetime on this earth with you, than face all the ages to come alone. And I know that in the end, we will meet each other again. For we are two parts of the same atom, two stars of the same constellation stream,” he spoke softly as our hands slowly came together and we both either turned them either clockwise or counterclockwise until finally our hands were palm to palm, fingertip to fingertip.
“Two souls intertwined throughout the cosmos. Destined to be together forever, even after death do us part.” I finished our wedding vows.  Brian leaned closer and captured my lips with his in a gentle kiss. As we separated from the kiss but kept nose to nose Brian stared deeply into my eyes as he softly smiled at me lovingly.
“Sleep now, my bonny (y/n).” I smiled tiredly at him as his index and tall finger lightly came over my brows and softly slid down to close my eyelids as I felt him very lightly peck my forehead, the tip of my nose, cheeks and finally my lips. I nuzzled into his chest, burying my hand underneath his nightshirt and the two of us fell into a blissful sleep.
*Extended ending*
A few months later after getting the chance to go see my cousins again after a busy day at the office these past few months, I told my cousins about the movie Highlander since it was now out in the UK and I gave them my real answer when it comes to immortality.
“Never would I wish to be immortal.”
“And why’s that? I thought you and Brian would want to be together forever?” Lucy said.
“But in the end we’d have to suffer as we watch everyone we love die. Freddie, Deacy, Roger, our kids, our future grandkids, you ladies. I wouldn’t know how to continue on without all my friends and family in my life. Plus as a mother I never want to bury my child before me. That’s not how life is supposed to work.” At that statement, my two cousins were crying and they too began to rethink their perspective of eternal life.
Immortality.  Some people long for it because they fear of death, or just don’t want to grow old and wish to remain young forever.  But immortality isn’t just a blessing, it’s also a curse in disguise.  For those we love have to die before us while the immortal continues on in life, lost, heartbroken and alone.
So answer me this, who wants to live forever?

Hey, guess what, I’ve found another screen rant I want to react to! I wasn’t planning to do any more but, reading through this article, I just have SO many problems with it... So Let’s do another, agree or disagree with a Screenrant article made by someone with no bias at all. (Sarcasm for the last part by the way.) So let’s see:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Agreed with this point. People act like, if the characters weren’t on screen then they disappeared or something. Maybe they were just living their own lives?
Tumblr media
... I don’t even understand this article. Apparently this is 20 things people get wrong and this point is that the timeline can make sense, but then OP goes on to say “However, the more characters were introduced and the more worlds the characters ventured into, it became clearer and clearer that time didn't work the same way everywhere... However, in a world of fairytales, expecting anything more than that is simply asking too much. What does it matter, exactly, when some of these events took place as long as we know that they were a long time ago in a universe not at all like our own?”
Like, so that means this isn’t something people get wrong - the timeline DOESN’T make sense - so what the hell is it doing in this article? You can’t claim you’ve solved it just because you shrug and go “yeah but it’s magic so what do you expect?”
I mean the text directly conflicts the title/bullet point. Luckily I can still safely say I disagree, both with the title and the text because the timeline became f*cked, and just making an embarrassed shrugging face doesn’t change that.
Tumblr media
I can’t even say disagree because this is just plain wrong! I don’t quite understand this writer. I can’t tell what they’re deal is, like did they just give a poor title to their article?
Season 1 - The Original Curse Season 2 - Belle and Sneezy lost their memories. Season 3 - Everyone lost a year. Season 5 - Camelot Season 6 - Emma lost her memories Season 7 - Another Curse.
Notice how I left out 4? Well this is where I’m getting confused because this is what OP had to say about Season 4: “While season four dabbled with alternate universes, memories were never wiped or reset in the way they were in every other season.”
... But their memories WERE wiped! They were essentially in a curse because their memories WERE wiped and they WERE given new identities just like the original curse. So yes, memory wipes did in fact happen every single season!
Tumblr media
So I can’t agree or disagree because maybe some people do call Ruby a lesbian, but most everyone I talk to calls her bi... So I’ma just skip this one.
Note: She’s bi people. This is canon. If you don’t agree then tough shit.
Tumblr media
Agreed, there’s plenty of other ways true love can be proven. TLK is probably just the most convenient, lol.
Tumblr media
Kind of agree? I mean I think most people do know and acknowledge this but I guess it can sometimes escape people without realising in passing sentences?
Tumblr media
This is true. It was a lame and terrible reveal that made no sense but it was revealed.
Tumblr media
... Like, I’m getting confused again. Because this title either doesn’t fit or the writer lives under a rock because no one get’s this wrong! Everyone - rightfully - calls out Zelena for what she did. Even Zelena fans admit what she did was messed up!
Tumblr media
... I do agree, I don’t think she made up for all the awful things she did and she definitely became “one of the team” way too quickly for my liking. (I’m hesitant because I suddenly have an idea what side of the fandom wrote this article and I can pretty much predict where it’s going.)
Tumblr media
AND THERE IT IS!
DISAGREE.  DISAGREE. DISAGREE. DISAGREE. DISAGREE. DISAGREE.
“Nothing says good guy like being an older man who takes advantage of a young girl, impregnates her, and lets her go to jail for crimes you yourself committed.” First off, we don’t know his age. Second, he didn’t ‘impregnant’ her. She got pregnant. It takes two to tango though I doubt the writer knows this. And third, Emma went to jail for HER crimes. Sorry, dear writer, but let me just fill you in. Aiding and abetting a fellow criminal IS A CRIME! Emma did wrong and she was punished for it. I don’t necessarily agree with what Neal did but he is not responsible for where Emma ended up.
“Even further, nothing says good guy like someone who mocks the woman he allegedly loves for the years of trauma, suffering, and scars she endured as a result of your callous, selfish behavior.” ... WHEN?!
“... Neal Cassidy became more and more like the selfish, frequently malicious parents who raised him.” ... Again, WHEN?! Like seriously, selfish maybe but malicious?!
“In no world would he have been the right man for Emma or a good father to Henry because he could never accept accountability for any of his many wrongdoings.” Except, you know, Neal knew Henry all of five minutes and was already dedicated to being a great dad to him and literally was WAY better at being a father to Henry than Hook ever was to the kid. And I added the Hook part because my God, the writer of this article couldn’t be more obvious a CS shipper if they had every sentence end with swans and pirate flags.
It’s amazing how, even dead, they’re still threatened by Neal’s character.
Tumblr media
Maybe this was true in S6, but by S7 they had clearly retconned it, making the Wish Realm a very real place. Otherwise there’s a ton of plot holes and you’ve got to be a real idiot to say you’d rather accept plot holes than that the Wish Realm might actually be real.
(Also, just saying, another terrible title because what happened to Emma and Regina when they were in the Wish Realm very much DID happen. So again, really poor titles for this article that clearly doesn’t know what it’s point is.)
Tumblr media
... She VIOLATED everyone’s minds by erasing their memories and TRIED TO MURDER ZELENA!
She may have had good intentions but that doesn’t change the fact that she was a villain for a season! Dude, have you never heard the phrase “the road to hell was paved with good intentions”?! I’ll defend Emma turning Hook into a Dark One for sure, but trying to completely ignore the awful things she did?! Jesus Christ!
Tumblr media
Again... What? OP... Everyone already KNOWS this. This article is meant to be things people gets wrong but, honestly, I think OP’s the only idiot who gets things wrong at this point. So I’m once again torn because I agree with the statement but I don’t agree that this is something people get wrong.
Tumblr media
*Sigh* OP’s giving me a migraine. Not because their statement is incorrect, but because all their reasoning is!
“Regina, as we know, went back and forth to points outside of Maine many times during the preceding 28 years.” It was actually explained, by Regina herself to Hook in Season 2, that because she (and he) had no cursed memories, crossing the town line would not affect them.
“Greg and Tamara are also able to cross the town lines, with Greg even remembering the tiny town for years and years after a traumatic encounter within it during his childhood.” Again. The town line affects people who ARE CURSED! This is made very clear! Henry can also cross the town line when he went to get Emma.
The title, once again, is misleading. People are able to leave - so long as they don’t CROSS THE TOWN LINE. That’s the part CURSED people are not able to do.
I’ve given up Agreeing and Disagreeing at this point. OP’s points are making my brain hurt so let’s just move on.
Tumblr media
You’re right OP. It did serve a purpose. It’s purpose was to be a cash grab!
Apparently OP’s excuse is that Anna and Elsa helped Emma come into her own as a magic user? Like yeah, I’m calling bullshit. Emma had no problem using her magic until they brought Frozen in, then they made a whole storyline of Emma having problems just to justify having Elsa struggle and then help her with it.
And after they left they were barely even mentioned. So, again. NO PURPOSE. (Apart from a cash grab.)
Tumblr media
Okay, so actually, I do agree. Regina is still Henry’s mum but the fact is, his adoption can’t be legal because Regina would need to have lied on her application and all the usual checks usually done for people wanting to adopt couldn’t possibly have happened.
Tumblr media
I was going to agree on technicality but you know what? No.
DISAGREE!
Just because the couples aren’t perfect doesn’t make them toxic. (Using OP’s examples:) “Robin's relationship with Regina results in his being repeatedly assaulted and fathering a child as a result of that assault.” Wow, dude, wait to blame the girlfriend for some of the bad stuff that happened in Robin’s life. I sure feel sorry for whoever you end up with if this is how you see it. “Hook and Emma frequently lie to one another as well,” Lying does not equal a toxic relationship! Certain lies, maybe, but general lying is just what people do when they’re embarrassed or ashamed or upset. What counts is what you’re lying about and also whether or not you come clean about it.
The only one I’ll agree with is RumBelle but even then OP completely misses the reason WHY they’re a toxic relationship. Instead they generalise it into very un-toxic details.
Tumblr media
... Again... Like... I agree with the statement but NO ONE GETS THIS WRONG!
OP is clearly just using this article as an excuse to bash Regina. And I’m not a Regina fan, but no, dude, if you’re gonna do this then make a “20 of the worst things Regina ever did” list. Not a “20 things people get wrong” and then list a bunch of things that one in ten people gets wrong!
Tumblr media
And now OP’s repeating. Because I’m pretty sure this was covered in the 4th one? Like, agree. I guess. But it feels like OP was running out of things and figured Regina bashing again would be too obvious or something.
Tumblr media
Okay. Now this is something a lot of people won’t agree with but... I do.
I agree the show was intended to be Emma’s story and that it then got popular and other characters got popular and it branched out into something more.
... However OP is still a colossus idiot because they ended on this sentence:
“It's what made the concept of a seventh season without almost any of the Charmings such a laughable concept - and such a colossal failure, as well.” And while Season 7 may not be the masterpiece I pretend it is to piss of anti’s, it is also far from the worst. OP just hates it because their fav wasn’t centre stage and they’re bitter as hell.
Wow this was probably the stupidest article yet. OP either clearly doesn’t know what they were meant to be doing (a list of things people often forget about the show) or they just wanted to make a list where they bitched a few points and couldn’t be bothered to think of a catchy title or reason why. Either way, OP’s an idiot and most of these points are ridiculously dumb.

Do you believe there’s a parallel when Matt said to Maggie that he doesn't think it's possible that someone can change for the better, particularly because of a woman, and then later on Matt changes his outlook and attitude for the better partially because of Karen opening up to him and pleading for him to not kill?
See, that one’s definitely complex. When I first watched this season, I definitely thought it was a parallel. But I think it’s even more complicated than that.
Now, I feel like we have to break this down before commenting on it. Buckle up, it’s gonna take a while haha
So, I think you’re referring to 3x03, and more precisely to these bits:
39'32
Matt: "Do you believe people can change?"
Maggie: "I'm still holding out hope."
Matt: "I don't think we can. Not really. I think we come into this world who we are. And maybe we get a little nicer. Or a little angrier. But we can't change our fundamental nature."
Maggie: “Well, you’d actually have to try to know.”
Matt: “I was talking about Wilson Fisk.”
 [...]
41'07
Maggie: "And according to you, people can't change."
Matt: "'Cause he's claiming to have changed over a woman."
Maggie: "I see. Well, if there's anything that can redeem a lost soul, love would have to top the list."
Matt: "Oh, come on. Even a monster like Fisk?"
Maggie: "You're talking to a nun, kiddo. Love and redemption are pretty much our sales pitch."
Matt: "Yeah. Well, I'm not buying."
Here, Matt just came back from his little trip to Fisk’s hotel. And what is really, really interesting, is that right before this scene, we got to see Karen arguing with Ellison about whether or not she should be the one to write something about Fisk getting out of jail.
“What I give a shit about, is Fisk getting out of prison. We have to do something, I have to do something about this. So don’t tell me to back off, because I won’t.” (Karen, 38′36).
Why is that interesting? Because in the very same episode, in the very scene you mentioned, Matt says he finds it odd that he should regain his hearing just in time to hear that Fisk got out of prison. So that’s a definitely a parallel. And I would go as far as to say that the whole episode is paralleling Matt and Karen.
1) Karen and Matt: toward the same goal
Here, Karen is hellbent on writing about Fisk because a) she thinks it’s the right thing to do and b) I think she wants to do this for Matt. She might think he’s still alive, she doesn’t know it for sure, and there must be this little voice in her that tells her he’s not coming back, and that the least she can do is carrying out his legacy and corner Fisk. They’re connected. And it’s not a coincidence if the writers decided to have these two scenes follow each other.
Another parallel is, of course, when Matt’s incognito and passes by Karen in front of Fisk’s hotel:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“You’ll never keep Karen safe.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
She can feel his presence, just like he literally felt hers. I know we’ve already talked about this scene, but I think it’s so important. Fisk is Matt’s conscience, he crystallizes Matt’s inner demons, his deepest fears. One of them is losing Karen, or worse: not being able to save her. Get her killed, somehow. He is the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen. He’s got the devil in him. He who’s doubting his purpose, his faith. He’s afraid of tainting her soul, and lose her to another real-life demon, namely Fisk.
This might seem off-topic, but I think it’s important to pay attention to the context (the context being the whole episode), especially because the episode’s title is “No Good Deed.” Now, this might be the English major in me, but “no good deed” can be read a standalone phrase OR as a phrase which needs other words to form a sentence. It’s like something’s missing. Which makes sense, because it’s reminiscent of the well-known phrase “No good deed goes unpunished.” And this echoes such concepts as karma, or redemption. If you think people can’t change... then you don’t believe in redemption. And knowing that Matt’s going though a faith crisis, this is a logical interpretation.
2) Redemption
Redemption is one of the key themes of season 3. Matt’s fighting his demons, but so is Karen, who’s haunted by her past. So is Maggie, so is Father Lantom, so is Dex... Everyone has a past. “The past is never dead. It’s not even past,” William Faulkner said. Well, here, it shows. For all these characters, past = sins, and the only thing that differentiates them is how they choose to deal with that. They ALL embrace their sins and accept the fact that they are sinners who can’t be redeemed (which is part of the Catholic doctrine, all humans are born sinners). But when some think doing more harm won’t change anything (Dex), others try to do some good (Karen, Maggie, Father Lantom) and Matt is trapped between these two options, as he plans to cross the line and kill Fisk but still has morally good intentions. All but the villains are looking for redemption, which is, I think, a way to tell the bad guys from the good guys (even though the lines are very blurry in Daredevil, which is why it’s such a great show).
But what is redemption, exactly? Well, first know I’m treading carefully here because I’m not a believer and I’ve never been to Sunday school or anything, all I know is from what I’ve read online and in books. But basically, all humans are born sinners because of Adam’s sin, and have to be reborn to have access to God’s kingdom:
“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3)
Knowing this season was heavily inspired by the Born Again arc by Frank Miller, I think that redemption is definitely one of the season’s key motifs. And for most of the season, Matt doesn’t believe he’s worthy of being saved, and neither does Karen, who says “there’s no atoning for what [she] did” (3x11).
So, in 3x03, Matt basically states he thinks nothing can redeem Fisk and, by extension, nothing can redeem him. He makes clear to Maggie he’s talking about Fisk, because she thought he was talking about him... And I think he is, even though he denies it. Take a look at the way the scene was shot:
Tumblr media
The focus is clearly on Matt, and even when she’s speaking, Maggie remains blurry in the background. This creates a sense of intimacy, the viewer’s in Matt’s mind. The focus is on Matt’s words, Matt’s face, Matt’s inner stuggle. It wouldn’t be the first time Matt and Fisk are paralleled.
In the second bit, Matt says that one of the reasons why he thinks Fisk can’t change is because the origin of that change sounds ridiculous to him:
Tumblr media
"'Cause he's claiming to have changed over a woman."  - Matt
Notice the smirk. Matt doesn’t buy it. It’s already hard enough to believe that such a monster would be capable of love, so changing because of the woman he loves?
3) The power of love
Love is not powerful enough to change who you are. Love will make you happier, or angrier, but it won’t change you fundamental nature.
See how it works when you include love in that quote?
In my opinion, Matt thinks that way because he considers his own experience. His love life has been a disaster.
Karen couldn’t change who he was. He told her, in The Defenders, that he didn’t want to change (after lying to her about it):
Karen: "God. I don’t understand. After everything you’ve worked for? You were finally rebuilding your life."
Matt: "Karen this is my life. I have to go.” (1x07)
With El*ktra, he didn’t have to change who he was, and this is partly why it felt so good to be around her. But if you look at their relationship through the prism of change... She couldn’t change him either. She couldn’t get him to kill Sweeney, for instance. She even tells him she’s glad she couldn’t in 2x08: “There’s a light inside you. I tried to snuff it out in college. I’m so lucky I failed.” So, you see, it goes both ways. And Matt couldn’t get El*ktra to change, despite all his efforts. The one thing that never changed in her is her love for him. But they almost fought until the bitter end. The only thing they could agree on was that they loved each other (and even though I don’t ship them, I can’t deny there’s something truly beautiful and tragic in their relationship, and their last moments together killed me). However... love wasn’t enough to make her change, and it wasn’t enough to make him change. Which why he can’t believe Fisk changed for Vanessa. Which is why he believes love is not THAT powerful.
4) People can’t change... but they can be forgiven.
So maybe Matt is right. Maybe people can’t change their fundamental nature. But one of the teachings of season 3 is that our mistakes don’t have to define us:  “Yeah. You’re right. His mistakes don’t need to define him. Neither do yours.” (Matt to Karen, 3x12).
That’s a huge change in Matt’s philosophy. I can’t even begin to imagine all the effort it took him to say that. Because he’s made a lot of mistakes. And for him to say that... It must mean that, somehow, he believes this could apply to him as well.
To conclude, I would say that people can’t change, but they can be redeemed. If not by God, then by people. And that is called forgiveness.
Here’s the other bit you referred to, from 3x13:
Karen: “That was nice, what you said.”
Matt: “Yeah, it wasn’t just him, you know. It was you, too. You helped me see the truth about myself.”
Karen: “Ouch.That had to hurt.“
Matt: “Well, maybe one of these days, I’ll forgive you, too.”
Karen: “Before my funeral, I hope.”
Matt: “I’m glad you told me, Karen. About Wesley and your brother.”
Karen: “Yeah. Well, uh I couldn’t live with that lie forever.”
Matt: “We’re all just trying to do more good than harm. And I’d say you’re ahead on that score.”
Matt saying that she helped him see the truth about himself echoes this blessed scene from the eulogy:
Tumblr media
“For me, personally, he spent many years trying to get me to face my own fears. To understand how they enslaved me, how they divided me from the people that I love. He counseled me to transcend my fears, to be brave enough to forgive... and see the possibilities of being a man without fear.” (Matt, 3x13)
Catholicism is about sins... but it’s also about forgiveness. It’s about darkness, but it’s also about light. So I think that, indeed, seeing that Karen, whom he always put on a pedestal, is also guilty, has even done the thing he swore he’d never do... Must have changed his mind. More than that, I think it has changed him. She shook his beliefs. And, after all, it’s her own love for justice, truth, and people in general, that redeem her. Karen has never been bad at core. She’s made mistakes. Terrible, painful mistakes. Mistakes that cost people their lives. But still, mistakes. Sins have become mistakes, in a way. And mistakes can be forgiven.
In a nutshell, I think that, indeed, this is a parallel. Karen has an impact on Matt, just like Matt has an impact on her. I truly think they make each other better persons. Which is why I love them so much: they are so alike, and yet, have such a hard time understanding each other.
Thank you soooo much for this question, anon. I hope I answered it! :)

Question for pro-choicers cont
*previous post inserted since the poster has apparently blocked me from reposting.  Or maybe tumblr is acting up again….*
 pro-abortion-rights
You claim that abortion is murder and, in the same breath, that you intend no moral judgment about the intentionally cherry-picked most repugnant of the reasons people commit murder. How convincing! The joke is that you have the exact same moral hierarchy since you too believe that bodily autonomy may be exercised for bigoted reasons.
Imagine not understanding the concept of “for the sake of argument.”Pro-choicers don’t actually concede the point on fetal personhood, they assume it for the sake of argument with anti-abortionists because it doesn’t actually matter either way. It’s an argumentative tactic, not a concession, but keep imagining you’ve scored the point if it helps you feel better.
Lethal self-defense may be used to prevent death or great bodily harm. You want to talk about great bodily harm? I have a four-inch scar across my lower abdomen from a C-section to deliver the three-year-old that’s playing next to me right now. Earlier in my pregnancy I had a brief cancer scare whose treatment I was going to put off until after birth to avoid harming the fetus. And mine was a HEALTHY pregnancy–I was lucky enough that it wasn’t cancer, and I had no more than the “normal” symptoms in pregnancy. I worked out every day, climbing 15 flights of steps. I still had to write much of my Ph.D. thesis in bed because sitting up was so hard and when my due date came I was in labor for three days, feeling like I was being ground under a wheel the whole time, and in the end I had to get an emergency C-section. I had a hard time moving for weeks. And this was with all the latest technology available.
Great bodily harm? You bet your ass, son. I took on all of this willingly because I wanted a baby with all my heart and that was the only reason I could bear it. Forcing ANY of the above on someone who doesn’t want it when it can be safely prevented is fucking monstrous. “Imagined peril?” Yeah, right. I’m sure I’m imagining my entire pregnancy and birth and the kid. And mine was, again, a healthy pregnancy where almost everything went well and I had access to the best medical technology and humane medical care. No one can tell when something is going to go wrong in pregnancy and childbirth, and even if nothing goes “wrong” it is significantly taxing and injurious on the body.
Hmm soooo your analogy of abortion to putting a gun to someone’s head is total bullshit and you’re not okay with pregnant people changing or otherwise impacting their OWN bodies in order to end their pregnancies, either? So now you’re resorting to the intent to end the fetus’s life instead of the specific method used. Even if the primary intent is to end the pregnancy and the fetus’s death is a corollary to that, much like the person who refuses a blood or bone marrow donation, right? Does your back hurt to carry around the goalposts like that?
No, the people who use desperate and injurious means to try and end their pregnancies are distraught because people like you denied them a safe and dignified abortion. I’ve noticed before that anti-abortionists think women (while keeping the caveat that not all people who can get pregnant are women, not that most of your crowd admits it) have to be literally crazy not to want to have a baby and you’re sure that if we just knew the truth we wouldn’t do it. Nope, some of us just don’t want to have a baby, because some people with uteruses don’t! Get that through your head lol.
Also, self-defense doesn’t require the fetus be at blame in order to be justified, and here is where your fallacious and disingenuous conflation of conceding personhood for the sake of argument and actually conceding personhood does actual harm. We know, like anyone with the most basic understanding of the world knows, that the fetus does not mean harm and cannot mean to do anything. Their lack of intent does nothing to lessen the actual harm of pregnancy, however, because intent does not equal impact.
Also your coward’s way to wriggle out of the politically inexpedient specter of forcibly hospitalizing and jailing abortion clients is to infantilize and condescend to women instead of demonizing us. Lmaooooo because that’s so much humanizing. Not. This is what it looks like when you don’t have the strength of your own conviction and resort to sexism instead. Too bad, because your fellow “pro-lifers” are indeed jailing women for miscarriages and suicide attempts (link). I’m sure you’re upset by that because these women are just victims, right? Nah you’re not, you’re just out there electing the people who do this, who cut public support for women and babies (CPCs don’t count lmao like abortion scaremongering, diapers, and useless ultrasounds done by unlicensed personnel are enough support to have and raise a baby?? [link]), who make life precarious for families so fewer people will WANT to have babies, and making sure more women will be injured and die from unsafe abortions. Mission accomplished!
“The joke is that you have the exact same moral hierarchy since you too believe that bodily autonomy may be exercised for bigoted reasons.”
And you got this from my post….how exactly?  No seriously, explain this.
“Pro-choicers don’t actually concede the point on fetal personhood, they assume it for the sake of argument with anti-abortionists because it doesn’t actually matter either way. It’s an argumentative tactic, not a concession, but keep imagining you’ve scored the point if it helps you feel better.”
Well since I’ve heard members of your group state outright that they know and accept (with no handy little “for argument’s sake” caveats included mind you) the unborn child is a person, etc, would kind of undermine that notion.  Unless you’re now saying you’re lying.  And of course, for your whole argument of self-defense to fly, they must be persons/actors as well to defend yourself against…  But sure, backpedal if it helps you feel better.
32 hour labor, followed by C-section as well, followed by infection and adhesions here.  High five, sister.  Yet I remind you, that your entire argument for self-defense involves criminalizing an unborn child.  A child that had no say in being where it was or what is happening to it.  A natural, biological process.  The vast majority of which were placed there consensually.  I know you always like to go to the extreme cases of rape, incest, medical emergencies etc to make your point, but those are a minuscule fraction of abortion cases.  I’m sorry, you do not get to say, “oops, I didn’t mean that to happen” and then use that, with the natural results of said actions to kill another person. No.  You don’t.  That is sick and perverse.  A life is in your hands because of your own choices.  You DO NOT have the right to kill it because you don’t like the consequences.  Does that mean discomfort, yes.  Does that even mean a chance of medical complications like we both faced?  Yes.  Life is hard. It means having to deal with the results of your actions, even when those involve pain and discomfort.  I don’t get to murder someone because there is a chance I might break my leg.  I’m sorry, I do not see murder—and I maintain it is murder, not self defense—as a viable option.  The fact you do, I find disturbing.
“Hmm soooo your analogy of abortion to putting a gun to someone’s head is total bullshit and you’re not okay with pregnant people changing or otherwise impacting their OWN bodies in order to end their pregnancies, either? So now you’re resorting to the intent to end the fetus’s life instead of the specific method used. Even if the primary intent is to end the pregnancy and the fetus’s death is a corollary to that, much like the person who refuses a blood or bone marrow donation, right? Does your back hurt to carry around the goalposts like that?”
I’m not okay with people taking actions to deliberately end their unborn child’s life.  No.  The specific method never mattered, only the outcome and intent.  I don’t see how I ever gave you reason to think I believed otherwise.  Where did I do so?  My goalposts have never moved.  Every example you gave was a deliberate attempt to kill their child.  It’s no different than whether someone chooses to burn or drown their child after birth.  The child ends up dead both ways, the means is secondary.  I honestly don’t understand the reasoning behind most of this paragraph.  “if the primary intent is to end the pregnancy and the fetus’s death is a corollary to that”  Ummm, if the primary intent is to end the pregnancy…that is literally the same thing as killing the fetus, not a corollary.  By definition.  Did you miss-type this?
Unless you mean re: the gun analogy.  Okay then if so.  No, I do not think refusing a blood/marrow transfusion is the same as actively killing another life.  Is there a fine distinction?  Absolutely. Lack of action vs deliberate action. Ethics is hard, like life. There are grey areas.  Do I believe a person, capable of providing blood or marrow to help another person, should do so if they can?  Absolutely.  I’m listed as an organ donor, was a blood donor for years, and was recently tested to see if I could donate a kidney.  Do I feel the state has the right to force that?  No.  That is not the same as, “I don’t want the discomfort and difficulty this other life might bring me, because of actions I took, therefore I will make a conscious decision to end its life rather than deal with the known, understood consequences.”
“No, the people who use desperate and injurious means to try and end their pregnancies are distraught because people like you denied them a safe and dignified abortion.”
“A safe and dignified abortion.”  Wow.  Just...wow.  When you reach for the moon, you really go for it!  And no. You don’t get to pawn other people’s bad decisions, born of a whole spectrum of backstories and circumstances, onto the pro-life crowd.  That’s intellectually dishonest and you know it.  Their reasons are legion.  And I sincerely doubt any of those underlying issues would be solved by abortion. Please, can your brush get any broader before you need a crane to lift it?
“Nope, some of us just don’t want to have a baby, because some people with uteruses don’t! Get that through your head lol.”
Then…simple solution…  Don’t take action that can result in the creation of another life.  Get that through your head lol.
“Also, self-defense doesn’t require the fetus be at blame in order to be justified… Their lack of intent does nothing to lessen the actual harm of pregnancy, however, because intent does not equal impact.”
I see.  So it gets to die because you were…scared/etc?  It’s not to blame, but you don’t like the consequences, so yup, it has to die. Yes.  That sounds so much better.  “intent does not equal impact.”  When your intent ends with another life’s ending, that’s a very real impact and a very real harm.  But that’s okay here because...you want it to be?  Who needs the self-defense argument more, I wonder?  The mother or the child?  Seems like the only rule here is the argument from power.  Where the person with power gets to determine what is right.  That’s a scary hill to take your stand on.
“Also your coward’s way to wriggle out of the politically inexpedient specter of forcibly hospitalizing and jailing abortion clients is to infantilize and condescend to women instead of demonizing us. Lmaooooo because that’s so much humanizing. Not.”
Coming from someone whose position is to, in essence, demonize and dehumanize unborn children in order to justify killing them for the sake of your own convenience like every genocidal advocate ever, this rings a little hollow. Especially with the body count you’ve racked up so far.  Nice straw man though.
And wow, one cherry-picked account of a terrible miscarriage of justice and a CA law to crack down on centers providing help and alternatives to abortion (though I do concede that using misleading, and deliberate lies to ‘fight the good fight’ is wrong, and any center that does it—“half” according to that article--should stop immediately.)  Wow, you got me there! /end sarcasm
Yes, we’re people too, who also make mistakes, and we form a huge spectrum of views of what is acceptable and what is not in this cause, just like your side does.  If I cared to enter the mines, you know very well I could come up with plenty of counter cherry-picked examples from your camp. Women being lied to about their pregnant state, their options, the nature of their pregnancy and the very real medical risks of abortion, deliberately pushing abortions for monetary gain, husbands/boyfriends/parents forcing them to have abortions, and so on. Do I need to do so, or do you have the intellectual honestly to admit those happen too?
Sexism? Oh please. At least be original with your slogans.
But if you want to compare notes, only one of our sides is responsible for supporting and enabling 45.7 million dead babies between 1970 and 2015 in the US alone.  The body count is clearly in your favor.  And I know you can’t possibly be so naïve as to think diapers or those crisis centers are all the pro-life movement do.  Or do I really need to link to the lists of many many many other programs and help made possible by our side?  And what do you put your money to anyways?  Oh yeah, pink pussy hats and placards.  One side promotes and encourages life, one side promotes murder and death and spreads known lies about the “millions of babies killed in back-alley abortions!” (see https://www.hli.org/resources/doesnt-legal-abortion-save-women-filthy-back-alley-abortion-mills/  )   See!  I can use hyperbole and innuendo too! :D
