This is like a spin-off to the "Haruta seeking revenge on Nanami's heavy pregnant wife" fic - just click on it to read it first!

To say the last few months were a trip to heaven and hell at the same time would be an understatement. Despite the horror the Shibuya incident caused, even though the attack of Haruta left both you and your precious baby to risk, you somehow made it all out alive. Kento, you and the little angel of daughter you gave birth to exactly one month after Shibuya.

“I’ll leave in five minutes, regardless of what you have to tell me afterwards”, he sends towards the man in front of him who is asking him for the hundredth time about the Shibuya incident.

Finally, this way too long day is over. A day without seeing you the whole time, a day without his little one by his side. Due to the fact that delivering your baby girl was rather difficult after the severe wound wasn’t healed yet, Shoko prescribed strict bed rest for you within the next few months. You are barely able to stand up on your own, let alone go to the toilet. Most of the time you lay on the couch with your daughter by your side, watching your favourite show on TV until you greet him with the brightest of smiles.

But even though every minor step causes you visible pain and it’s hard for you to be on your own, you insisted on him continuing doing his job. After all, somebody has to take care of poor Yuji when you’re not around. And since Gojo is gone, whole Jujutsu High seems to be an endless mess. Yes, somehow you did eventually convince him of leaving you every single morning. Even though he hates letting go of you after what happened not long ago.

“I will leave now”, he announces before grabbing his suitcase and walking away without waiting for an answer.

In the meantime, it’s hard for you to sit still.

“Come on angel, please hold still for a second. We just need leg number one, leg number two, and…There you go!”

Your eyes almost overflow with joy, just staring at the tiny jumper your daughter wears makes you feel emotional all over again. Kento worked so much these last weeks, making sure that especially Yuji feels better after all those things that happened to him during Shibuya. And the fact that you’ve got severely injured…You’ll never forget the look of horror on his face when you collapsed into his arms, Shoko making it just in time before everything went black. For the split of a second you thought everything is over, that this will be the last time you’ve seen your husband. Oh, how you begged Shoko to save the life of your unborn child instead of yours, how you held onto Kento’s hand for dear life.

But seeing that bundle of joy laying in front of you, giggling happily while kicking her tiny feet in her brand-new jumper…You have to read the words all over again, the simple writing that says “I love daddy”. You were mindlessly scrolling through baby stuff when it caught your attention, thinking about how your beloved husband would react to it. There was absolutely no way out of ordering it.

“Daddy will love to see you in this.”

Just the thought of how Kento will react makes you kick your feet too, smiling down at your giggling daughter. Even though every little movement sends a wave of pain through your entire body, you try to stay as positive as possible. The discomfort will go away eventually, but the joy Kento has gifted you with will stay forever.

You can sense him before he put the key into the lock right away, heart pounding so hard that it feels like jumping out of your body.

“This is out time angel”, you whisper into your daughter’s tiny ear before sitting up and staring at the door in sheer excitement.

Nanami’s heart skips a beat when seeing you, looking so adorable dressed in his way too big t-shirt and sweatpants.

“What are you smiling about, sweetheart?”

The second he lays his eyes on your flawless face decorated with that breath-taking smile, he is lost all over again. But by now it’s not only you who awaits him. No, next to you curled up on the couch lays the little bundle of joy that makes his happiness complete.

“I’m just so glad your back! How-ah…”

A minor groan escapes your lips as you try to sit up straight, Kento instantly rushing to your side.

“Hey, think about what Shoko said. No need to rush, we have the whole evening for ourselves, darling”, he gently speaks out, his hands caressing your back moderately.

He hasn’t seen it yet, the blanket on top of your daughter hiding the jumper very well from him. But you can’t contain your excitement any longer. For a moment, you’ll have to put your aching aside.

“Actually, there’s something I wanted to show you…”

Your husband tilts his head to the side, a tender smile creeping up his face before he can stop it. You look so utterly excited that he can’t help but wonder what you mean.

“I wonder what leaves you this excited.”

“Well, there aren’t many things apart from you that get me excited”, you reply with a sly grin.

“But maybe you should take a closer look at your daughter.”

Your heartbeat picks up even more as soon as he looks at your precious little angel, hand gently brushing over her tiny cheek. Slowly, he lifts her off the couch, blanket falling down and revealing her new jumper. You hold your breath, your husband’s eyes locked onto her body.

“I love daddy”, he reads out loud.

His smile widens, eyes turning glossy in pure admiration. Oh, how much he adores you, how much he loves you in every single way. Why does he suddenly turn this emotional? Why does the sheer sight of his daughter with a jumper saying “I love daddy” make him tear up? The last months were so rough on him, it was never granted that he’ll be able to hold his daughter like this while you sit next to him. For a few horrible seconds, he thought he lost you both.

But now you’re here. And you really think that he’s a good dad.

“Words can’t express how much that means to me…”, he mumbles, pressing his daughter against his chest and closing his eyes.

“Oh, I didn’t mean to make you cry love”, you instantly reply while getting up from the couch way too quickly.

Your husband catches you just in time before you fall back onto the couch, his free hand wrapped tightly around your waist while his daughter rests against his shoulder.

“You are the best thing that ever happened to me, (y/n). And to top it all off, you gifted me this beautiful daughter. You are so strong, I am so proud of everything you have done these last few months.”

His words his you in your feelings with full force. Despite the fact that you are a strong and composed woman, tears start to stream down your face like a waterfall while your gaze never leaves his. God, how much you love that man, how thankful you are for the fact that he survived. And for the bundle of joy that rests against his shoulder. You never thought your life would turn out like this, eventually. A snack of a husband holding you tightly in one hand while carrying your daughter with the other.

“I love you, Kento Nanami. That jumper says nothing but the truth”, you hush lightly.

Oh, Kento will definitely make sure of that.

“I love you too, sweetheart. And you, my little angel.”

I'm really interested in what Vaggie's deal is

I'm surprised that through 4 episodes the one that's still the most mysterious is Vaggie. We know a little bit about everyone else, except for Niffty, that little adorkable freak, but Vaggie? What's her deal? I mean besides being an ex-Exterminator cause a lot about her behavior and lines is just really interesting to me.

Obviously she loves Charlie and wants to make her dreams come true. But the way she worded it in the song made it seem like they shared that maybe? She said that it felt so good to be understood. So she could have been seeing the years of Exterminations and then she realized that someone, not just anyone but the Princess of Hell is like her, she shared her goals. Or it could be them both being outcasts, Charlie is pretty soft and sweet for Hell, and Vaggie might have been too fed up with taking orders to kill and started acting out of line for an Exterminator.

Given that she said the way she learned to trust is by "surviving" and her whole military talk with everyone else I think it's safe to say that her own training was brutal. There's also the fact that she threatened to hurt the Hotel gang if they didn't catch Angel Dust, and then threw everyone off the roof and into battle by force because "it was how she was taught" to trust people.

Which is pretty fucked up and even Charlie called her out on it and was surprised.

And that brings me to something else, it's possible that Charlie doesn't know that Vaggie was an Exterminator. When they're on the roof Vaggie says she's supposed to make Charlie's dream a reality, to protect her and to never fail her. That last one seemed particularly important and she follows it up with "If I can't help you what's the point of me?"

Before those words we had Charlie say "Vaggie you're not- you're not-" what? I'm assuming she meant to say a failure but then why hesitate? Maybe she wanted to say she wasn't like the rest of the Exterminators anymore? But if Charlie knew that why would she question Vaggie's way of trust exercises?

As soon as Charlie starts to try and comfort her girlfriend she stops her, which makes me think that Vaggie doesn't feel like she's worthy of Charlie unless she can prove it somehow. She doesn't even want to hear how she's making Charlie happy because in that moment she thought she was a failure. But as soon as Charlie is sad in the next episode Vaggie is ready to stay by her side until she feels better and later carries her to bed. She's willing to give comfort and love but seems very hesitant in getting it back.

It seems to go with what Husk said, Vaggie hates herself and so she judges others and doesn't trust them because her walls are constantly up. The only one she lets get to her is Charlie and even then there are barriers she still has up.

When she sings the lyrics, "When I saw your face you made me feel like a stranger in a brand new place." I think this is going back to her and Charlie's first meeting, where Vaggie went from seeing Hell as a horrible place to seeing there are those like Charlie there and that it really wasn't all bad. She fell to Hell and became a Sinner in a way, no longer there to kill but there to say, a place that she once knew now seen in a different light.

But the verse that really made me think she's actually hiding the fact that she was from Heaven is the line "There's so much that I wish I could say... I'll spend my life being your partner." At this point I'm not sure that Vaggie even fully trusts Charlie. Because why would she hide who she is from the one person who she should know won't judge her for past mistakes, whose dream it is to help people?

She needs to be sure redemption is possible, she needs to be sure that when she tells Charlie the truth that there is hope for her own redemption. No one ever ascended up but now we have at least 3 who fell, one is depressed as fuck, one has been missing for 7 years and the last hates herself and is unable to open up to her girlfriend without fear of rejection and her own failure.

None of these people seem to be in a good place right now.

'Amazon Prime’s hit adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s bestselling novel Good Omens will return for season three, starring David Tennant and Michael Sheen.

The TV series follows the unlikely celestial bond between grouchy demon Crowley (Tennant) and fussy rare-book seller and earthbound Angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) as they are faced with world-ending threats and rogue angelic beings rocking up at their doorstep.

The first season, written by co-creator Gaiman, arrived on Prime Video in 2019 and quickly cultivated a devoted queer fanbase invested in the heavenly chemistry between Crowley and Aziraphale as they raced to save the earth from an all-consuming apocalypse.

After a four-year wait, the second season arrived in July this year and did not disappoint as the unconventional pair teamed up once again to restore order in the cosmos after taking the lost, confused and amnesia-ridden archangel Gabriel under their wing.

The season ended on a major cliffhanger, with tensions between Aziraphale and Crowley higher than ever leaving fans waiting with bated breath for the show to be renewed for a final season.

And their dreams have come true after Prime announced on Thursday (14 December) that a third and final season would be arriving on the streaming platform. Read on to find out everything we know so far.

What is the plot of Good Omens season 3?

The end of season two saw Gabriel runaway with Beelzebub, leaving his post as heaven’s head honcho wide open, which is then offered to Aziraphale. In the dramatic finale, Crowley admits his undying love for Aziraphale before planting a passionate kiss on his lips – much to the delight of fans.

However, in a heartbreaking twist Aziraphale leaves Crowley devastated after telling him he has accepted the job offer and will be returning to heaven, with little hope of seeing Crowley ever again.

In a statement announcing the season renewal, Gaiman teased about what audiences can expect from the upcoming season.

“I’m so happy finally to be able to finish the story Terry [Pratchett] and I plotted in 1989 and in 2006,” Gaiman said in a statement.

“Terry was determined that if we made Good Omens for television, we could take the story all the way to the end. Season One was all about averting Armageddon, dangerous prophecies, and the End of the World.

“Season Two was sweet and gentle, although it may have ended less joyfully than a certain Angel and Demon might have hoped.

“Now in Season Three, we will deal once more with the end of the world. The plans for Armageddon are going wrong. Only Crowley and Aziraphale working together can hope to put it right. And they aren’t talking.”

Much like the previous seasons it looks like divine intervention will force our spurned lovers together once again as a brand new threat to civilisation emerges. But will this be enough to make them realise their deep affections for one another and finally get their happy ending?

Amazon MGM Studios head of television Vernon Sanders described the show as “clever, witty, and funny”.

“The final season is sure to be packed with the same dynamic energy that our global customers have come to enjoy,” he said.

Fan theories and reaction to Good Omens season 3

Naturally, fans are raring to watch the new season and are offering their best theories about what to expect alongside their most joyous reactions.

There are several potential avenues the show could go down for the third season, although most are hopeful of a happy ending for our main duo. Gaiman has previously hinted that Aziraphale and Crowley end up living together in a cottage after the events of the TV series, known as South Downs Cottage.

As for what the major existential threat will be, according to receipts collated by Good Omens fan and X/Twitter user @swirlingthings, the plot is likely to converge around the Second Coming of Christ.

According to Gaiman, himself and Pratchett previously discussed this plot in which Jesus would descend on a silver plane with angelic secret agents sporting dark glasses, only to get lost in New York’s Time Square.

Meanwhile, fans are sharing their jubilation at the renewal news.

Who is in the cast of Good Omens season 3?

There is currently little information on the cast of the third and final season of Good Omens aside from the guaranteed return of David Tennant and Michael Sheen.

There is the possibility that character from previous seasons make a returning such as Gabriel (Jon Hamm) and Beelzebub, portrayed by Shelley Conn in the second season.

Nina Sosanya may also make a reappearance after starring in various roles across the first two seasons.

Is there a trailer?

There is currently no trailer for Good Omens season three.

What is the release date?

There is currently no release date for the third season but Gaiman has offered a potential timeline on his tumblr, after revealing he has made strong headway on writing the scripts after the WGA strikes lifted.

“If we shot it in 2024 it would probably be released in early ’26. (We started shooting S2 in October 2021. It’s about a year in post-production from wrap to release),” he told fans. Adding that he has long had the “final fifteen pages” of season three episode six ready “in case he got hit by a bus”.

So if all goes well, we may be seeing Aziraphale and Crowley’s happy ending by 2026.

Some thoughts on the Good Omens 2 trailer

As many of us may already know, an official trailer for Good Omens season 2 dropped yesterday on Youtube.

I loved loved loved the first season, and the original book it was adapted from, and I spent a fairly long time making fanarts of the show. I’ve been impatiently waiting for this second season to come out ever since it was announced, and yesterday’s trailer only fueled up my hype even further. I would like to take a moment to make some speculations about what we were shown, and about what I would want to see in this new season.

1) May I just say I really like the angel cop girl? She looks like she’s going to be a very nice character!

2) Another thing I loved was seeing Crowly dressed up as an angel, with his white suit, golden tie and the snake tattoo on his cheek turning from back to golden. Demons dressing up as angels is something we didn’t see in the first season (when Michael visited hell she was still dressed in her normal angel clothes, and the same goes the other way around for demons), and I like the fact that they can change their outfit to ‘blend in’ with the other faction.

3) Now, let’s talk about what, at least to me, was the biggest elephant in the room of the trailer: the mystery revolving around Gabriel - who, apparently, has vanished from heaven to go to Earth. That sentence of his, that “You only know that everything would be better if you were by a particular person’s side”... Did he mean it in the sense that he’s in love with someone?! 👀 Well, based on how Aziraphale immediately thinks of him and Crowley dining together, it surely seems so! But who could Gabe ever be in love with? And what has he done to have both Heaven and Hell after him (we see the demons demanding that Azira surrender him, in one clip)? How could have Gabe manage to wrong two sides at once? What if he messed up big time by falling for someone on the wrong side?

Well, my little heart of the Ineffable Bureaucracy fan would surely hope in something of this sort! And then we have this:

A little purple-blueish feather, presumably falling from above. Not a white feather, nor a black one. But one of a color we’ve never seen before.

Now, I’m well aware of the fact that Gaiman once said that angels and demons can wear their wings however they want to, not necessarily white or black, but in the actual show (maybe for the sake of keeping things visually simple) Zira has them white like you would expect from an angel and Crowley black like you would expect from a demon. So coming back to this one little purple-ish feather… Does it still belong to an angel, or to a demon?

Or perhaps, it belongs to someone who is neither of the two? An entirely brand new creature, with an entirely new wing color! Now, considering that Good Omens only revolved around church figures (Adam and Eve, angels, demons, Satan…), I have a very hard time believing that this ‘entirely new creature’ will turn out to be a cryptid or a pagan mithical creature (like, say, an harpy or a winged horse). So what can it be?

What if this new creature is both an angel and a demon, being born by parents that belong to different factions? A.k.a, to tie it to my previous theory, what if Gabe messed up big time by falling in love with the wrong person and their affair resulted in a child? 👀

Hazbin Hotel Thoughts : Alcohol 3 !

Now lessee how well Heaven can hold up its booze. While Ep 6 implies there's no (or very few) alcohol in Heaven, there's this funny concept called "let's pretend". Again, as seen with Charlie and Vaggie, part-angel or fully angelic people aren't immune to alcohol, so, let's go !

First of all, Emily, and I think that the complete irony is that she can hold it even better than Charlie. Ten glasses and she'll still be standing, excitedly asking for more - might even find the experience a brand new one and enjoyable, blissfully unaware of what awaits the common mortals after that (being a Seraphim, she ain't a common mortal). I peg her for the "curious" type of drunk, constantly asking the living hell out of everything and what's this, what's that, why is that guy falling flat on his face and not getting up ? Nor moving ? For hours ? but also hyper and super-excited. She already loves everyone and everything as her sober self, imagine when tipsy. Sliding down further that wonderful realm of drunken stupor might also make her the "sleepy" type, but contrary to Carmilla's "tired" drunk type, she's just yawning and wanting a nap, instead of being exhausted with everything.

Her filter pops like a cork, but given that her demeanor is mainly positive, she'll just shower everyone with praise and love, and at worst embarrass herself with oversharing - a bit of Anna's attitude around Hans in Frozen - so expect a lot of verbal backspace and realizing mid-sentence what she's currently saying, try to cover it up, only to have another slip of the tongue. I think she'll start to feel something around her 10th glass, and by the 16th or so be definitively at least tipsy, but might surprise everyone by tanking a full bottle before giggling at the pretty colors on the ceiling.

And as much just for irony, Sera won't be able to hold that well. She'll struggle to keep her head screwed on straight and try to maintain her usual poise, only to burst out one hysterical laugh ("HA !") at something at the least expected moment, and then snap back to regal and dignified again. While not a total lightweight either, she'll throw in the towel earlier than Charlie, so maybe she has around Vaggie's tolerance. Both the "tired" and "mood-swinger" type of drunk, in a sense that a constant battle to keep up the façade exhausts her pretty quick, and control slips, showing sudden bursts of wheezing hysteria. She'll sway a bit in the air, wings discoordinated, and might have trouble with distance estimations : grabbing something a wee bit too much to the left and patting around to grip the next glass. Might launch into lectures into the void, or talk to herself, both as an effect of the alcohol and to try to focus on something. Most of the time, people don't even peg her for drunk because "drunk" and "Sera" don't compute in their minds, but when you know where to look, you can see the signs that she's definitely wasted.

Might be able to hold 6 or 7 glasses, but by 10 it's over for her. She'll just wander aimlessly and come pretty close to smacking herself into a wall, talking to people that aren't there and being fairly disoriented. Really, the only saving grace is that she doesn't look as stupid as she's feeling, and that nobody will ever believe that the High Seraphim became a high seraphim in the span of an evening : they'll think they were drunk.

Adam. Ha, do I need to say more ? In any case since he's been seen scarfing down food and drinks and pretty much stuffing his face, I'll be lying if I said he isn't a party enjoyer. And he does hold his alcohol pretty well... but less well than he thinks : guy would bet on downing 30 glasses no problems only to get smashed by the 17th or so. Kudos to him, he will reach his 30th, but at that point he's only half-conscious. Verbal coherence goes completely out of the window, luggages included, and physical coherence is not far away, bending over said windowframe to look down and ask how was the landing. This guy is 100% the "rambling" and "complainer" type, because, c'mon, you've seen him when sober, right ? Expect a lot of "in MY time" and "when I was alive" comments, also being the "flirting" type (except nobody can make out what he's slurring, it's as if he's talking sideways from his mouth and sounds like a walking blooper reel) to various results. At its worst, and most inebriated, just before passing out and forgetting this ever happened, he'll also be the "crying" type, all insecurities coming back up, and suddenly the First Man looks like a sobbing child in search for a mother figure (Sera is the unfortunate target), spouting out all what he finds unfair (be it justified or not) and how nobody listens to him nor stays, and that they should obey because he's the dickmaster, and that has to count for something, fucking dammit. (...I didn't expected the swerve into sad, then the even heavier counter-swerve into stupid. Wow.)

However, to get to that point, you'll have to pass layers and layers of "agressive" drunkness, because Adam, being Adam, is gonna look at the lights on the ceiling and decide to fight them, because nobody's supposed to shine brighter than him. That's from glass N° 10 onwards, more or less. And you better let him think he outlasted everyone, or you'll have a whiny bratty fratbro on your hands.

Lute, well. Lute wouldn't want to drink, because Lute is an angel and angels aren't that unbecoming, but Adam already handed her a few and coaxed her into it. It could go both ways : first route, she has uncanny resilience and while managing a tipsy state around 20th shot or so, never really gets to the point of being outright sloshed. Or second, and funnier route : she isn't used to it and is an actual lightweight. Imagine Lute, drunk off her monochrome ass, saluting at nothing and thinking she's in a training session where the 'enemy' has drugged her, and takes on fighting her own chair because it looked at her weird. She'll mix up locations for sure, fuck up distance estimations, pounce on everything, and literally Adam has to be the responsible one for once (with one or two stupid comments of "yeah, women can't hold alcohol" while Emily is drinking him under the table). She'll still be deadly with a weapon, but that's more years of training and her body being honed to the point of it being automatic - because if she had to count on her fuzzed brain and cross-eyed sight alone, she wouldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo. However, she might also show her more affectionate side to those she likes (like Adam), and definitely be less composed overall, but not relaxing, because Lute wouldn't know relaxing even if she were to be drowning in a beanbag on a nice summer day with a cat on her stomach.

On the second route, 5 glasses and she's toasted, three more and it's over for her. "Violent" and "agressive" type for sure in all cases, though, with a side dash of "sour" and sprinkles of "confronting" sprayed over.

St-Peter would tell you that he doesn't remember being ever drunk in his existence, and he'll be right, because the keyword is remember : he'll go from sober to blackout torched while skipping all intermediate steps after one or two glasses. The guy just blips out of consciousness like the last spark of intelligence behind a Queef's eyes : poof ! gone. His alcohol tolerance would be in the negatives, and the problem is, he doesn't even know it, since he can't ever recall whatever happened. And for fun, nobody tells him, because it's so amusing to watch him eagerly want to participate in the common merriment, even shyly accept a drink to join, then observe the phenomenon the moment he downed the glass : frame one, he's sitting and conscious, frame two, he's very much not anymore, on both accounts. And then wake up, remember nothing, get invited to the next party, and doing it all over again. At least Niffty can boast being awake (even if not really aware) and active, but St-Peter will just go out like a lightswitch.

After a while - and once the fun subsides - people take pity on him and try to experiment with hybrid drinks (mundane + alcohol), but the only effect it achieves is apparently for his mind to spirit away from his body, and he'll just stay there sitting like a statue, smiling into nothing with a thousand yard stare. They call it "good enough" and throw a sheet on him, because the soulless staring can get creepy. Usually, they'll prepare non-alcoholic mimics of the real deal for him from then on : a party's only a good party if everyone has fun, after all.

I have a theory that whoever we see wearing plaid(tartan) is who will end up on Team Humanity in S3. It just seems like there are some very strange costume choices made, with so many characters ending up with tartan accents. So far I’ve got Aziraphale (obviously), Shadwell, Anathema, Muriel, Shax, Saraqael, Gabriel, Edinburgh (the mountains), and Maggie. Crowley’s robe in the Job scenes, with its jacquard pattern of intersecting lines and its red stripes is debatable. It’s also possible that his change of watch for season 2 was to a real world brand that incorporates tartan as part of its logo. I don’t see any plaid in his weird costume change, which Neil has said was just because he wanted to change clothes (we know Neil lies). I would like to find some plaid on Eric the disposable demon, because if your side keeps discorporating you, f them.

I also wonder if the actors we see in new parts are so that they can do switches with their counterparts in season 1 to infiltrate the enemy side in season 3. Maggie, Nina, and Shax are all on opposing sides from the actor’s roles in season 1. Neil has said he named the characters the actor’s names so that there’d be no confusion as to who he wanted hired, but why was that so important to him. And yeah, Neil lies.

hey @shoemakerobstetrician!!!✨ this is really cool, i like this idea!!! and certainly would track, as you said... do wonder however (and just being the other side of the argument) how far this goes in terms of aziraphale's tartan being called heaven's dress, and the angel wartime uniform seen in s1 being (i think, iirc) the same tartan... so not entirely sure how far this visual indicator would track, but i do really like it!!!✨

He threw him into the Abyss, and shut the entrance and sealed it over him, to make sure he would not deceive the nations again until the thousand years had passed. At the end of that time he must be released, but only for a short while.

Then I saw some thrones, and I saw those who are given the power to be judges take their seats on them. I saw the souls of all who had been beheaded for having witnessed for Jesus and for having preached God’s word, and those who refused to worship the beast or his statue and would not have the brand-mark on their foreheads or hands; they came to life, and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. First reading Ezekiel 3:17-21 Warn the wicked man, and you will live

The word of the Lord was addressed to me as follows, ‘Son of man, I have appointed you as sentry to the House of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from me, warn them in my Name. If I say to a wicked man, “You are to die,” and you do not warn him; if you do not speak and warn him to renounce his evil ways and so live, then he shall die for his sin, but I will hold you responsible for his death. If, however, you do warn a wicked man and he does not renounce his wickedness and his evil ways, then he shall die for his sin, but you yourself will have saved your life. When the upright man renounces his integrity to do evil and I set a trap for him, he too shall die; since you failed to warn him, he shall die for his sin and the integrity he practised will no longer be remembered; but I will hold you responsible for his death. If, however, you warn the upright man not to sin and he abstains from sinning, he shall live, thanks to your warning, and you too will have saved your life.’

First reading Ezekiel 34:11-16 I will look after my flock myself and keep all of it in view

The Lord God says this: I am going to look after my flock myself and keep all of it in view. As a shepherd keeps all his flock in view when he stands up in the middle of his scattered sheep, so shall I keep my sheep in view. I shall rescue them from wherever they have been scattered during the mist and darkness. I shall bring them out of the countries where they are; I shall gather them together from foreign countries and bring them back to their own land. I shall pasture them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines and in every inhabited place in the land. I shall feed them in good pasturage; the high mountains of Israel will be their grazing ground. There they will rest in good grazing ground; they will browse in rich pastures on the mountains of Israel. I myself will pasture my sheep, I myself will show them where to rest – it is the Lord who speaks. I shall look for the lost one, bring back the stray, bandage the wounded and make the weak strong. I shall watch over the fat and healthy. I shall be a true shepherd to them.
