I've seen people speculate about this character, Roo, that has yet to debut in the show proper, so I thought I might as well share this with you. The character has been described by the creators as a "looming threat in the distance", and it's a common assumption among fans that "Roo" stands for "the root of all evil". With that in mind, I was thinking, wouldn't it make sense if she was actually Eve ? I mean, if what Charlie says about Hell in the first episode is true, the infernal realm as it is now was born when Eve ate the forbidden fruit. And yet, despite being the one who committed the original sin, the girl has been conspicuously absent from the narrative thus far. Now, if we take the sole depiction of Roo we have into account (assuming, of course, that it is indicative of what she'll eventually look like), one can see that her most distinctive features are her furiously monstrous mouth and tongue. Do you see where I'm going ? Since eating a fruit is what caused the fall of mankind, it’d (kind of) make sense for Eve’s potential demon form to emphasize those parts of her anatomy, as they were the instruments of the first sin...

Habzin Hotel Theory - Who is Charlie’s Birth Mom, Lilith or Eve?
I know there’s been some theories about whether or not Charlie is Lilith or Eve’s daughter, and I wanted to put my two cents in.
All of the family photos in the Hotel and Lucifer’s room are of Lilith, Charlie, and Lucifer; and Charlie clearly refers to Lilith as “mom”. But a lot of the contention comes from this shot in “More Than Anything”:
Tumblr media
That looks way more like Eve than Lilith, if you ask me. The handful of times we’ve seen them in the show, they have very distinct hair silhouettes.
Tumblr media
Did Lucifer cheat on Lilith and Eve got pregnant from their tryst? Is Eve pretending to be Lilith in various places in the show, as some people are guessing? I have a simpler theory.
Lilith was not able to conceive, and Eve gave birth to Charlie instead, helped raised her for a short period of time, and then had to leave and Lilith took her place.
It’s not uncommon for afab people to be infertile, for various reasons. Perhaps Lilith was a ‘rough draft’ of the first woman and just straight up didn’t have the ability, or maybe she lost her ability to conceive as a punishment from god for defying Adam (I know some conservative Christians see infertility as a punishment from god, I obviously don’t agree with this). We know that Eve was able to give birth, as she gave birth to Cain and Abel.
Lucifer seemed to imply in the fight with Adam that he may have slept with Eve in addition to Lilith, but I really doubt it was an instance of cheating, given how much he seems to love Charlie and Lilith and has fallen into depression after not having them in his life. I think that when Eve died, she didn’t go to Heaven with Adam, as she was “the one who bit the apple first, succumbing to the temptation of even, and then spreading it to her husband”.
I think by that point, Lucifer and Lilith may have tried to conceive a child, but failed. When Eve arrived in Hell, perhaps she struck a deal with Lucifer and Eve to carry Lucifer’s child, in exchange for a better life in Hell? Or at least, for as long as Charlie needed her, for nursing reasons or otherwise.
It would really explain the fact that A) the face of Charlie’s mother’s face is so obscured in More Than Anything, and B) why her mother separated her from Lucifer while they were enjoying each other’s company during the song. Maybe Eve felt bitter that she would only be allowed in Charlie’s life for a short time before being replaced, and wanted to spend more time with Charlie herself? (There could also be some feelings about not even being the Original Woman, and always being second best.)
I’m not sure if Lilith was also present in the castle for this period of time, or if she was away working on growing Hell’s power during this time, as it was stated in the show’s intro to the first episode that she is the reason why hell became populous and powerful enough to ‘necessitate’ the Extermination.
I think this is a very likely theory! Wherever Eve is now, I’m sure we’ll see her again in the upcoming season(s)! What do y’all think?

So, uh.... anyone gonna talk about the fact that the tree of knowledge is A) the only tree in the garden of Eden depicted as being red (which is associated with evil in this intro story) and B) the only tree with very visible ROOTS?!?
Like, the roots of all evil? Literally??
No? Just me? Ah well.

Original Man Adam Theory
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's possible that Adam went to Heaven not because he was a virtuous person who abstained from sinning but because of lack of temptation. If we go through the list of deadly sins and biblical account of what happened after The Fall, he couldn't commit any of them. Pride? Of what? He got cowed by God very hard. Greed? Gluttony? Sloth? He is forced to toil away every day for basic sustenance, there is no wealth to hoard, not enough food to gorge on, and if he is lazy, he'll starve to death.
Lust? There is only one woman he can lust over and that woman is Eve. We call that faithfulness in marriage. Wrath? Envy? Again, against whom? The first victim of those is Abel. He does commit every single one of them after death, though.
Rather fittingly, Adam has been shown to possess several of the Seven Deadly Sins from Charlie's time speaking to him. He pridefully boasts about how superior he is at things to people, lustfully talks about how he convinced another angel to sleep with him, mentions that he got annoyed over said angel wanting another one of his band members instead of him (implying he was envious he wasn't her first pick), got angry over one angel getting killed compared to the thousands of demons he kills every year and gluttonously wolfs down a pack of ribs while meeting with Charlie, is the one angel greedily wearing mostly gold clothes (and actually has golden horns as ornaments in his fashion getup), and is too lazy to make an appearance in person, instead using a hologram since he couldn't be bothered to actually talk to the princess of Hell and hear what she has to say. And, again, rather fittingly, because he's an angel, he doesn't see the irony in any of this.
What's even more ironic is Charlie is shown to possess all of the Seven Virtues despite being a demon and the daughter of Lucifer. Again, Adam and Lute are both such petty jackasses that they don't see the irony in this.
In a way, Adam can be seen as a representation of corrupt religious figures: because he's on the side of good, it means he can't be wrong, that he can get away with anything, etc while preaching to others and looking down upon them for their faults, perceived or otherwise. Conversely, Emily represents the virtuous religious figures, being kind, understanding and open-minded to all she meets, yet is quick to condemn legitimate wrongdoing even when it comes from those she previously trusted/saw as good people, even agreeing with Charlie - the Princess of Hell - that Heaven's practices aren't as lofty as they preach.
Ironically enough, that seems to imply Lucifer bringing free will and the creation of hell was. In hindsight, a huge improvement for everybody involved despite appearances. Because evil exists and now people would not be inherently sent to heaven just for preaching loyalty now, people would be capable of understanding evil and choose not to indulge into it. By resisting sin or even learning from the failures, there's now the chance ascended mortals would have a chance of being actually good people who made the right choices even if the process is still far from perfect. Adam is essentially a pampered child coddled from evil, so now he believes anything he does is justified. Has anyone just simply gone straight to heaven without understanding evil, Heaven would be probably just as much of a bad place as hell currently is.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's another heavenly mortal within heaven's files: St. Peter himself. Despite being Jesus' apostle, Peter was a victim of many evils in life and also made a fair share of mistakes, with his denial of Jesus being one of the most notable. He had to interact with sin and temptation for all his life and likely also making his share of blunders which he repented greatly. But rather than make him a horrible sinner those events actually made him a stronger, nicer, much more complete person. As such when he's a heaven's gate he's presented as a Nice Guy and very reasonable person unlike the sheltered Adam.
But while Adam says that he never made a mistake in his life, Peter double checks if there was a mistake with Charlie's appointment until he finds out she was correct , and then he proceeds. While it's not explicitly stated, this showcases that Peter is capable of admitting his mistakes. Recognizing a wrongdoing and repenting is a crucial part of salvation.

Eve Theory Deep Dive
Here’s just a bunch of stuff regarding Eve that I can’t get out of my head.
The only times we’ve seen “Lilith”, without it being in a photo, her hair is moving constantly. BUT, in the intro (the only other time we see her in motion kinda) her hair is static for a lot of it and its Eve’s hair that’s flowing in every shot of her… On the beach it could be wind, but Lute’s hair isn’t moving
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, I don’t think the lady Lute talks to is actually Lilith, but Eve. For one, she’s covering the top of her head very plainly with that hat so its hard to tell if she has that signature swept back hair, but you can somewhat see that part of her hair does fall in front of her forehead and isn’t swept from the hairline. Could be a coincidence though, of course. There’s also that pearls theory people have, too.
Tumblr media
Another thing is that for once “Lilith” actually has the black nose that Charlie has. In every single photo we’ve seem of Lilith she does have a nose but its not like Charlie’s at all. She’s got shadow on her nose but that’s it. Yet, the Lilith we see on the beach has that dark nose (not the exact same but still closer than the photos). In the flashback with baby Charlie, the lady, who most assume is Eve judging by the hair, has her face in shadow so its nothing we can really confirm yet.
Tumblr media
Since we hear in the intro story that Eve took the apple, but never hear of Adam doing the same, and Adam ended up in Heaven, I think its safe to assume Eve ended up in hell. So, there is potiental that Charlie is Eve's daughter instead. We've yet to see actual features from Lilith that Charlie has- she's got Lucifier's complexion, cheeks, horns, eye color, and tail. The only parts we aren't sure about are her hooves and the big clawed hand she got fighting Adam.
Tumblr media
A big hole, however, is the timeline. As Lucifer and Lilith seem to have been a couple for a long time, then Eve would have to be in the picture for Charlie, then Lilith would be back again for some of Charlie’s life given the photos we have, then gone again. If Lilith thrived in hell, she may have taken pity on Eve and tried to help her only for it to backfire, or maybe Eve, Lucifer, and Lilith had some kind of agreement
Tumblr media
Now, if Eve is also Roo (aka root of all evil, an antagonist that’s supposed to show up in the show) it would explain a little why Charlie would have that clawed arm thing and the connection of tree root imagery with the tree of knowledge. Along with Eve eating the apple being what invited evil into the world. Roo’s old design also has the black lines on her eyes that Charlie’s demon form has. On the beach, “Lilith” has sunglasses on so maybe she has those, too. (Also once more, her hair seems like it’s wispy so maybe it flows like Eve’s too)

It’s Naomi’s birthday so of course Jennifer had to throw a party. Things were a bit rocky at the beginning because Daniel once again picked a fight with Lilith but this time in front of Eve, his youngest daughter he’s never met. And now the poor thing’s traumatized.
Jennifer quickly came to the rescue and sent Daniel on his way. I like to imagine that even though it looks like she’s giving him a friendly goodbye, she’s cussing him out right by his ear.
