So I’ve been thinking: what if Disneyland did haunted houses in the same style as Halloween Horror Nights.

Here are my ideas

The Haunted Mansion

This one is pretty obvious. Basically it would be the story of the Haunted Mansion but as a walk around attraction instead of a ride. I also imagined that all of the characters would be live actors instead of animatronics.

Nightmare Before Christmas

Another pretty obvious one. I feel like it would be easy for them to follow either the events of the movie or the Haunted Mansion overlay, but I think it would be cool if it was a new storyline that focuses on the other holiday worlds.

Disney Villains

For this one, I think it would take a page from the Universal Monster Houses from HHN. I feel like it would be a hodgepodge of different villains. I was thinking the villains could be The Evil Queen, Maleficent, Cruella, the Horned King, Ursula, the Sanderson Sisters, Scar, and Hades.

Star Wars

So, for Star Wars, I feel like there’s a lot they could do. However, I think the best choice would be doing something on Star Wars’s scariest planet: Dathomir. It would be the guests being terrorized by Nightsisters.

Marvel

So, I feel like the obvious choice for Marvel would be Marvel Zombies. Disney has even made a Captain America costume. However, I also want some inspiration from the Marvel HHN mouse, and having symbiotes involved in some way.

Gravity Falls

There’s a lot they could do with this. I was thinking that this could take place during Weirdmageddon. The guests would have to dodge many of the effects and creations by Bill Cipher. Also, at the entrance of the maze, there’d be a Grunkle Stan roasting people.

The Owl House

For this one, I was thinking it would be about escaping Belos’s castle, dodging both Belos and the Collector along the way. Like the Stranger Things houses at HHN, there would be actors playing characters like Luz, Eda, etc, interacting with guests.

Goosebumps

So, Disney and Goosebumps have a connection. In the 90s Goosebumps had a live show and mirror maze at Disney MGM studios. Disney is also working on a Disney+ Goosebumps show. This one would feature the guests being terrorized by Slappy, the Haunted Mask, and other characters.

Doctor Who

So, since Doctor Who is going to be on Disney+, this would be another possible house. It would take more of a Sci-Fi spin with the Daleks and Cybermen, but when the Weeping Angels appear, that’s when the straight up horror begins. Also, there would be three Masters appearing (John Simm, Michelle Gomez, and Sacha Dhawan) to roast the guests

Also, sidenote, that HHN candle I got for Christmas? Smells like KI Haunt, not HHN. The entire night I kept going “why does this smell like that candle is this really what Haunt smells like”. But that just means any time I miss home, I can light it up.

I didn't really post about Halloween like I usually do because I was busy the whole day doing errands with my mom but I just want to say I hope everyone had the best Halloween ever. I went to HHN for the first time ever on the 26th and had a blast! I definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn't gone and still wants to go, and I will definitely will be going again next year. It's officially November 1st everyone! Now it is time to celebrate Thanksgiving but also start getting ready for Christmas,Lol! I am ready for Season 2 of The Santa Clauses with Tim Allen. I hope they bring back Charlie and Bernard again. I will still be watching Halloween stuff since I didn't get to as much as I usually do since I had a very busy October this year, I was really hoping I would find some time this year to sit back and watch horror movies and other Halloween films this October, hopefully I can this November. Be safe! I hope everyone had fun trick or treating and got back home safe and sound! Until next time, bye!

I picked up Robin and it was a very cold night, snow was on the ground, the Official I’m A Alabama On Saturdays And A Falcons On Sundays Helmet 2023 T Shirt were empty of cars and people… as we set-out to find the Christmas tree. We spotted a lot, I did an illegal u-turn in my VW bug and drove up to the empty Christmas tree parking lot. The owner of the Christmas tree lot had abandoned the place and the fence gates were wide open. So we parked the car, and spent the next 30 minutes sorting through trees. Robin, was in the moment and we must have looked over at least thirty trees left behind for our pickings. I was coaching her in consideration how big of a Christmas tree we could actually fit into a VW Bug. We finally settled on a smaller Christmas tree that was propped up on a wooden stand and looked a little weak in the branch department, but not quite Charlie Brown style. I picked up the tree and moved it over to the VW bug, we had to drop the back seats, and aligned the tree between the two front seats…hey it smelled great in the car.

Dark Kingdom

I know most if not all of these would never happen but this one is the blank check pulled from deep inside the NEVER GONNA HAPPEN FILES.

Disney, the powerhouse it is, the monolith with 6 domestic parks that are booming on any given day should do something next level and open a park that is...EXCLUSIVELY OPEN AT NIGHT!

Hey, man, I work 3rd shift so sue me. I used to work at a movie theater and we'd put on movies after close and i used to go to an all night Halloween movie marathon and there's just something so thrilling about being in a place in the middle of the night. And talk about exclusivity, huh!? The faux accomplishment that only theme parks can provide. "I did it, I did a night at Dark Kingdom!"

So, yeah, it's a spooky, villain-laden mirror-universe of Magic Kingdom. It's where the likes of The Other Side, Ursula's Unfathomable Uprising & Ichabod's Midnight Ride would be. The energy of a Villains After Hours Party but every night, all night.

BUT ALSO NOT JUST VILLAINY, it's also where the Land of the Dead could be! A Coco themed land! And this park's version of Fantasmic, the grand finale, closing show, would be Ernesto de la Cruz's Sunrise Serenade! How cool! And yeah, Halloweentown from Nightmare Before Christmas as a land, too!

Another thing? Since it's only open at night and people are gonna need to stay up, that good ol' Coca-Cola product, MONSTER ENERGY DRINK is readily available everywhere and yeah sure coffee too. Hmm, who's a good theme for coffee. I wanna say Maurice from Beauty and the Beast but he doesn't really fit in at the park. Hades! He's got cappuccino energy and then you can have some big dumb instagramable drink that comes in the vile the poison he gave Hercules was in. Yup!

Yeah, ok, fuck! You know how Disney made MGM Studio simply to try and undercut Universal? This is their swipe at HHN. Integrate the ingenuity that comes with the booths at Epcot into a revolving cast creepy characters selling novelty food and drink, more thrilling attractions than found elsewhere on property and yeah SCAREZONES! Not tooooo intense but themed little stretches with characters and fog that are less about jumping out to getchya and more about facilitating a VIBE! And then sure around Halloween time they get turned up to 11 and are full blown scarezones.

And listen this isn't adults only or anything, it's just gonna skew that way naturally just based on what it is, ala HHN, right? But it's also still a Disney park, so, it's goal isn't to scare kids but it'll get up to that line. Heck, maybe bring back Snow White's Scary Adventures and Alien Encounter! A park for the Breck Eisner's of the world! A park for ME!

Yeah, shit, this is for me so the icon, the weenie of the park is THE HORNED KING'S CASTLE FROM BLACK CAULDRON! No one knows that movie, I know but how many kids can identify Cinderella or Sleepy Beauty's castle? If ya don't know the pre-existing IP it becomes original IP!

And, yeah, it'd really mess with the passes, like, you can't park hop to it but, again, exclusivity! And more money to the company! You do a 5 day ticket with park hopper AND a one night pass to Dark Kingdom! It becomes a rite of passage for kids, it rules, it rocks! FUCK!

Ok, if we lean into the mirror-universe thing, what if, for the psychos like me who would do Magic Kingdom and then head over to Dark Kingdom, there were a Harry Potter train-esque transit/ride that exclusively takes you from MK to DK...I wanna say a River Styx boat ride but that might just be in the park.

Anyway, this will be an ongoing project.

Jack - Make up, a new record player and some records, maybe a new ringmaster coat or boots, and a music box from Chance.

Chance - Make up, boots and hair accessories, a ballet barre, and some lingerie from Jack.

Caretaker - New top hat, new coffee mug, and a deranged reindeer figurine made from human bones and teeth made by Cindy.

Director - Nothing but he buys himself a new camera.

Usher - Nothing aside from the satisfaction of the Palace Theater being decorated for the season and everything being calm and quiet. He treats himself to a hot cocoa from the concession stand as he over looks festive lobby as night time snow silently falls outside the door windows.

Storyteller - A fruit cake, collectible vintage books, a new tea set, and a new afghan blanket.

Cindy - Normal victorian toys, some new black lace dresses, and a new “dollie” victim.

Eddie - Horror merch, horror movies, and chainsaws.

Lady Luck - New heels and a poker table.

Bone - probably CENSORED BY TUMBLR and lighters.

Bloody Mary - New hair brush, make up, and nail files.
