idk i really like the genre of ships that are decidedly NOT soulmates...there's a level of imperfectness that makes it comfy and healing. gojo and nanami? satosugu definitely had that star crossed lovers soulmate thing going on, but i like the idea that with nanago they settle their souls with each other and find happiness together despite it all. same thing with erasermic. aizawa and shirakumo balanced each other out well, but erasermic as an old married couple? with shared trauma? that's good shit. joe and cherry? same thing. hirotaka and narumi? same vibe. on second thought, maybe i just like old married couple ships, because i think serirei also fits in this category. hopefully you get it

Day 15: Narumi x Hirotaka

I'm just glad that these two existed. As an otaku auntie myself, it's refreshing to see two adult otakus enjoying each others company, falling in love and just never be bothered by the negativities of the world. Hirotaka's undying love for Narumi really tugs at your heartstrings. I like how he supports her and just lets her do what she loves. There's no other word to describe them but refreshing and so awfully cute together. The show shouldn't be called Love is Hard for Otaku because it was never hard for them.
