Headcanon - There were a few timelines where Henry leaned into the Groundhogs Day-ness that is the timelines and refused to do anything until he hit the reset point. He dedicated some of those to learning new skills, including one loop where he took from the movie and learned piano. There’s also several loops where he just dedicated himself to learning as much as possible about those around him, Toppat or military or neither alike.

Raph thought, that as long as he tried his best, things would work out.

It seemed simple enough. And in most cases, his best got things done. When it came to his family, he was able to keep his brothers out of trouble for the most part. He was able to provide for them. To distract them from the many problems that surrounded their home as well as stepping up when Dad couldn’t.

It got easier with time. And Dad healed, he became a parent again. Raph didn’t have the same responsibilities that he felt only he could shoulder. But still, it was hard to change those habits. Always feeling the need to carry the burdens. To be the one to fix things.

Communication is always key. Raph learned the hard way that bottling up his emotions only led to having a huge blow up later on. So he did his best when it came to his relationship with you. He didn’t want to be the reason things fell apart between the two of you.

So he did his best.

But as he watched you turn to leave, without even trying to talk to him about what was wrong. He didn’t know what to think. It had to be him. Something had to be wrong with him.

“Y/n!”

He called out to you. But you only shook your head and continued walking further away.

So he went after you. “Can’t we talk about this?” He called after you. His snaggletooth digging into his lower lip nervously as you continued to ignore him.

Slipping past your form before you could reach the ladder that led to the manhole cover. His body a blockade though it wasn’t his intentions to force you to stay. He just wanted to talk to you!

“Please,” he pleaded. “Just tell me what I have to do.” His hand went out, reaching for your own. He couldn’t help himself but try to find any sense of comfort in this moment. He liked your touch. You were warm. You had always been a safe place for him. For his feelings. Even if you were angry with him. “Tell me what I need to change, and Raph will change.”

It would be just that easy for him. He would do anything you wanted. He could be different. Whatever you didn’t like he’d change it. Whatever it was that he did to upset you, he’d make sure it wouldn’t happen again.

“…Raph” you said in a solemn tone, tugging your hand away from his hold.

His heart broke. He didn’t reach for you again. But he went down on his knees before you. Making himself smaller. He needed to be smaller.

“No no, Y/n! You make me happy, we make each other happy!” Raph said with absolute certainty. But as your face met his, it was the epitome of hopelessness. “Don’t we?” He cried out in despair. Not understanding. Needing you to spell it out for him. He wasn’t smart enough to figure it out on his own. He wasn’t like Donnie. He wasn’t like Leo.

“I thought-“ your voice broke, the back of your hand going up to cover it as you held back a sudden sob. It was all Raph could do to stay still. To not instantly scoop you into his arms and hold you close. To calm you down and tell you that everything would be okay. He’d fix it. But he stayed in his place as you recovered yourself.

“I thought this could work. When we were young and stupid, but Raph… I’m human and you’re..” the hand covering your mouth went down as it gestured towards Raph’s form. Mutant. Was the word that went unsaid. He was other. He wasn’t human. But he hadn’t thought… you hadn’t seemed to mind…

In those quiet moments where it was just you and him. When you would lean closer than friends would get. How you would constantly text him.

“I just don’t think it’ll work Raph. It was nice to pretend. It was nice to dream. But I’ve got to be realistic. I can’t spend my life down here.”

In the sewers. In the shadows. Raph didn’t want that for you either. Maybe he had been too selfish. For ever thinking that the happiness the two of you shared was something that couldn’t be broken. He had thought his bond with you was so strong.

Slowly, Raph got up from his knees. He shuffled away from the ladder. “Oh,” was all he could say in response. He felt… how did he feel? It was hard to describe. But you didn’t hesitate to linger. You started to climb.

It seemed like this wasn’t something he could fix. He looked down at his hands. Big rough maws. Green. Not to mention the claws. Nothing like a humans. Nothing like yours. His hand closed into a fist as the manhole cover closed overhead.

He was disappointed. That was what he felt. Crazily enough, it was because he couldn’t change for you. Even though he desperately wanted to.

Oh ho ho, Anon. You have come to the right place. *cracks knuckles* Currently raising two teenage boys, so I am ready for this ask like you would not believe. Some of these are pure fluff and some of them have a little more spice to them (which are NOT inspired by my boys lmao).

Corny jokes. Like all the damn time. His goal becomes to make Katniss roll her eyes or groan. He comes up with an elaborate point system. A "Joke Score" as a play on a training score. Getting a soft, inanimate object such as a napkin or a pillow thrown at him in combination with a verbal response earns him a perfect 12 for that joke. Examples! When they are going through everything in their Victor's Village house(s), deciding what goes and what stays, Katniss starts labeling everything with pinned/taped on notes. They say things like Donate or Give to Delly or BURN/TAKE AN AXE TO in the case of the giant desk that Snow once sat behind. And one day, Katniss goes to ask Peeta a question, and when he turns around, he's got one of the notes, in her handwriting, that says Keep taped to his forehead.

He gets perverse joy out of tickling Katniss until she can't breathe and/or is about to pee her pants.

He helps Haymitch give the geese absolutely ridiculous names

Katniss is the one who brings him pretty things from the woods. A blossom, a freshly fallen autumn leaf (look at the colors! this one's almost your favorite color), a neat looking rock. He keeps them on the kitchen table for a day or two before returning them to nature.

The cloud game, where they lay in the meadow and give names to the shapes of clouds, the more ridiculous the better, which Peeta usually wins (an alligator swallowing a garbage truck... no it is, look!)

"IT WAS A FISH I SWEAR!" in the lake... It was not a fish swimming up her shirt Peeta, you naughty boy. That was your hand.

Sitting upside down on the sofa to watch Plutarch's ridiculous new show that he won't shut up about so they watch it once. "Why are you sitting like that?" "Just getting the proper perspective."

Everything is a competition. Like... everything. Who can hold their breath longer (Katniss), who can toss their clothes across the room into the laundry hamper during sexy times and actually make it into the hamper (Peeta, which Katniss is MAD about btw and totally starts cheating by um... kissing or grabbing sensitive areas), who can kiss better (a tie but we need to try again to be sure), who can toast their bread faster in the fire (Katniss, but now it's burned, can I have yours, Peeta? *pouty face* only if you marry me, Katniss. Psssh we're literally already married, you goob), who can shovel snow off the walkway faster (Peeta but he does a sloppy job of it and Katniss makes him do his half of the walkway again and no it is totally not so she can check out his ass (narrator voice: it was totally so she could check out his ass)), who can eat the most *insert food item here* (Katniss, every time), who can make the most ridiculous silly faces (tie again unless there's alcohol involved and then it's Katniss), who can wash the dishes faster (...undecided, Katniss thinks Peeta is cheating by putting extra dishes in the sink or moving ones she's already washed back into the dirty pile. Once, when she accused him of cheating, he grabbed a dirty plate and licked it like he did in the cave scene. "All clean! See! I helped!")

Pillow fights, food fights, water fights, snowball fights, paint slinging fights... pretty much ALL instigated by Peeta, many of them because...

Whenever Peeta tries to teach Katniss how to bake something new and she gets frustrated, his go to method of getting her out of her head and to relax is to smear frosting/batter/dough/flour/whatever is closest on her face.

Singing very loud and off key in the shower to get Katniss out of bed when it's not really a bad day, but not a great day either.

Dunking food in milk. Like all of it, to try it out. Dropping candy into different beverages to see how it changes the flavor. "I'm experimenting for the bakery, Katniss!"

Dramatically flopping on the bed when he's had a long day and whining that he's not moving until Katniss *insert whatever kind of affection and or bribe he wants to glean out of her such as kisses, cuddles, foot rub (ew Peeta, I've smelled your dirty socks and that's not happening -- what if I wash my foot first? or here *presents her with his prosthetic foot* rub this one! but you might have to put some oomph in it before I can feel it)*.

So many one leg/amputee jokes

Pretending to be asleep when he's definitely not and Katniss is clearly horny... just to see how far she'll go.

Both anti-depressants and depression call kill sex drive, but when they're in the mood... they're not seen for at least a day and a half so Peeta has to work up a discreet signal to let Haymitch know not to come a knockin' because the first time it he didn't know, Katniss screamed bloody murder and Haymitch dropped a bottle of "perfectly good wine what is wrong with you two? Is that the chair I sit in for dinner?!?!?" It was not, but Katniss was mortified. And other smutty shenanigans happen on occasion, despite how carefully both Katniss and Peeta guard their privacy and intimacy.

"We have to move the laundry!" *carries her to the fancy new machines Effie sent them as a toasting gift.* She tries not to laugh or snuggle in close. She fails.

Tucking silly notes everywhere. In her game bag, under her pillow, on her plate at the table, on the window sill where she likes to sit and read/watch the rain, in her shirt when he's feeling extra naughty.

*with the most serious expression ever* "Real or not real, Katniss... this cheese is the stinkiest cheese that ever cheesed?" *shoves some seriously stinky cheese under her nose before she can react* "UGH! GROSS, PEETA!"

Over the top dramatics when he asks her to dance. Only every now and then, though because Katniss also loves to slow dance with him and act stupidly romantic with him, but you didn't hear that from me.

Ice cream for dinner

Blanket forts

Raspberries. You know, when you put your mouth on someone's bare skin and blow out air really hard and it makes a sound like someone is farting? Yeah, those.

"You sleep with the windows open! Of course I'm going to hog the blankets!" Katniss shouts. Peeta solves this by laying on top of her and saying "I'm a blanket!" until she's laughing and agrees to share the actual blankets.

Smearing literal cinnamon and dill all over his body after she confesses that she liked that smell on him.

Attempting to build a catapult to launch cheese buns from the kitchen to where Katniss is sitting on the couch when she's pregnant. Okay, let's be real. It happens BEFORE she gets pregnant with toastbaby the first, but he perfects it during that first pregnancy.

Peeta can't shoot an arrow, but they start making a list of everything he's hit that he WASN'T aiming for... the ground, that patch of violets, the tree next to the tree you were aiming for, the stream, that giant rock, that thankfully unoccupied bird's nest ("thankfully? I would've called it a good shot if you'd hit something we could eat," Katniss says).

"I'm a fluffy bunny." If you don't know what that means, I cannot help you.

"Real or not real, you are the most beautiful woman in the entire world." "No more cough syrup, Peeta--" *LOUD BUZZER NOISE* "WRONG! The correct answer is REAL, Katniss."

“Who ate the last *insert food item here*?!?!” Peeta from the other room around a full mouth “Not me!”

And if you think any of this stops when they have kids, oh boy are you wrong. The kids just get to get in on the fun (of the not spicy variety, of course.)

The Deuxmoi sighting is this one (posted on Sunday 22 January)

Okay, people, let's get real here. Fact: Sam was only briefly in NYC, arriving on 11 January, there were some fan pics and pappics, he posted pics and a video himself. The video being of the Sona restaurant posted 14 January and stories posted on January 15 or 16 depending on the timezone (posted doesn't mean he was still there).

So the Deuxmoi sighting doesn't make much sense, DM posts the sightings on Sunday from what they get the weekdays before that Sunday.

14 weeks ago would be end of January. He was in London that weekend posting a video with Graham, they did the photoshoot for the book cover of CL in NZ. Also remind you he posted a video for Burns Night from is home making a cocktail.

Beginning February a video was posted from EDA, where he was also spotted on February 6. Tom Kitchen posted a pic from a recent visit at Kora, and on 14 February he did a live IG with PCJ for LA from his home clearly showing he's filming OL, showing his nails with the (fake) blood on it. 22 February recorded a podcast, and the wrap party on 24 February.

First week in March he showed up at restaurants with his whisky and gin, did a podcast and on 4 March he was in Chichester Uni, and London there after (fan pic, papped and work out pic posted by himself) and I found that running video from 8 March.

Week after he was in Belgium, he returned on 17 March, went to London and probably home. Was back in London the next weekend recording the LA promo. And back in Belgium 29 March started filming TCND.

Now where is there any room to be in NYC 'more than usual'. He was only once there in January for a few days. Despite DM sightings, which we can't take serious anymore. If he's that popular, why was there not a DM sighting last weekend where he sat openly in public on a popular terrace with a blonde woman. No DM, no pappics, not even JJ.

And if I have to go back where the whole thing started. A Anon saying she saw him and this woman, who is supposed to be a socialite (so why on earth is her account private???) in Paris (when he just started filming in Belgium and the whole crew and cast was in Antwerp). Why did he not mention Paris on HSC with Josh, but mentioned Antwerp and Maastricht (still have to laugh about his pronunciation of that city, which aside is one of the most beautiful cities in the Netherlands). Why didn't he had time in Miami if she was in Miami, and NYC while she was there. First it isn't her at the lunch, and now it is??? Is that all the evidence she has about it? Was there a like or a comment 14 weeks ago on a post? Is that the 'evidence' or is it just trying to make something real?

Need I remind you how she still pushed the KE narrative heavily in January. And when he followed the actor from Leeds and was filming in Leeds it was all about ES. And now... CM. How on earth is anybody still believing anything she posts... smh

Helsie is a kinda eccentric individual. sort of bubbly but can have a mean streak. fun gal. good social skills, as she works at a job that requires and improves them anyway. shes more energetic and extroverted than the rest of the group for sure. probably hums and makes little noises to accentuate her speech/tone of voice. she tries to maintain a positive attitude but her lack of self esteem causes her to doubt her own abilities in GENERAL.

if one says "how do you live with yourself" to her she'll overthink it and turn it into something that haunts her and brings her down more and more. and why? it was just a dumb comment, not even a full sentence, yet just a word like that can really send her spiraling. doubting herself. wanting, NEEDING, to change herself but its just who she is. she cannot change her fundamental self; its enough she hardly knows herself beyond a persona she tries to keep up

Helsie cannot face her own darkness, and if she does its rough. its one of those distressing things to her where she'll get this intense wave of emotion and just break down, like, "i cant, i cant, i cant" curling into a ball and just crying. Or she goes and chops some heads off monsters solo. either of the two

she ignores the darkness that grows more each day in her until its looming, singeing her very ability to be happy at all. she puts on a smile but inside she wants to rip and tear and maim and bite- but Has to maintain that happy face. she doesn't want to put her issues on others, even the HSC.

she isnt good at dealing with negative emotions besides maybe some anger, sadness too. oh, and stress during hunts. she's good with that, kinda

in a sense Helsie's style reflects this too. she looks sweet, a little mean(its the goth thing) theres an underlying bite (heh) to her style. you look at her and go "whoa she looks like she wants to rip something to shreds but she also looks so so fun"

a lot of her pent up emotions are only really let out during vampire hunts. she cant face her darkness so she'll be the darkness, fuck it. Joni and Lucien do help her through her personal problems, and it really helps having people who understand, who have been there before and are still there to some degree

with all that said. Helsie would much prefer trying to stay positive/maintain a badass sorta attitude, so she does activities and goes about her day in ways that make this happen.

this includes hanging with her found family, Joni and Lucien. her job as a barista helps, she always likes seeing customers happy to get their little boba drinks and treats and whatnot. she feels more worthy herself helping others out and making them happy. ah and of course, her side gig as a vampire hunter helps with the whole "badass" attitude boost. as much as it can contribute to her self doubt, having people by her side to boost her confidence and Also be badass with her is all she needs.
