Hope you managed to survive Hilary! 😁

You guys are lucky this happens only like, what, once or twice per century (at least for now)? Living in southeast coastal states is downright miserable every August-October, and living inland (Atlanta in my case) doesn't do much good (I still remember when Zeta knocked out power for much of the metro for almost a day).

My family and I are ok- just lost some tree branches and had quite a small lake in the backyard. Most of the major flooding happened in other areas, but we were ready just in case. I can tell you, it all made quite a mess! We've gotten cleaned up and back to normal, though.

The West coast is exceedingly lucky that hurricanes rarely affect us. As far as I'm aware, we've only had 7 or 8 affect us since records were kept, and most of the time the "hurricanes" have downgraded to "tropical storms" by the time they reach where I live (about 30 miles East of Santa Monica beach.)

On the other hand, we do have a yearly "fire season"...

Book 1: Four Liars (in space)

Gay and Lesbian bff Chuck and Bee get into fake marriage for a sweet free space house (in space), immediately meet and fall in love with much cooler love interests. Comedy of errors level of rom-com shenanigans ensue.

Book 2: The Great Galactic Hustle

Gay and Lesbian bff have now divorced and are dating the correct people but this has pissed off Bee’s mum, who is attempting to set her up with Chuck’s boyfriend for some reason. In order to get her off her back Bee agrees to take her little sister Willie with them on a work trip as an intern. They all get stranded in space (feat. two scientists in the middle of a torrid hate-hate relationship). Nobody is having a good time except perennial Himbo Chuck.

Book 3: Space Academia

Willie has an internship with one of the scientists of the previous book, Vopenka! Except they are stuck at a months-long science convention with Zeta (Vopenka’s science enemy) and his own assistant Caspian, the most averagely mediocre white guy in the universe. He’s a spy and yet still manages to be boring about it. He and Willie set out to make Vopenka and Zeta get along, but then fall in love and sort of forget about the events they just set in motion, to hilarious results.

Book 4: Cosmic Cocktail

Another of Bee’s sisters, Joy, has to go on a work trip for reasons connected to the events of the previous book. She leaves her son with (another sister) Raddish, who has this babysitting thing in the bag! … except that she’s crushing hard on the kid’s water yoga teacher who hates her. And the kid is convinced that said teacher is a mermaid and sets out to prove it. Shenanigans ensue.

Book 5: Space Hurricanes (with a chance of electron rain)

Lifelong UFO truther Zeta and lifelong UFO denier Vopenka get the chance to work with real life aliens! After 20 years of academic feud, she is ready to admit he was right… except Zeta is now obsessed with the Space Bermuda Triangle. A look back through their relationship, from hate and lust at first sight in their twenties, to enduring hate and lust now. The Space Bermuda Triangle is not real, of course…. Unless?

Book 6: Lucky Star (in retrograde)

Due to the events of the previous book, a woman lost in space seven years ago is rescued! She just so happens to be the presumed dead ex-wife of Joy’s husband, and mother of his son. Now Joy has to go and pick her up from the hospital and drive her back to their hometown… aaaaaand they get stuck in a blizzard together. To make matters worse, this intrepid space explorer woman is smocking hot. Yeah, so that’s not awkward at all.

Note: 5 of my OCs in chronological order of meeting C.J.S. after his 'being able to be himself' revelation over the course of a few months - the stoic bodyguard-in-training Esmeralda Petersburg, the disciplinarian Tess Dileva, the poetic Kirumi Silkenstar (introduced in later season), the spunky wannabe witch Karaina Caulton (introduced in later season) & the highly introverted loner Suki Ryushima - are derived from and inspired by existing OCs found on (y/n) x yandere quizzes on Quotev that I took a liking to thanks to the story/characters/detail/etc., like how much of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is inspired by Western songs. This includes their personalities. I took 5 such quizzes honestly answering the questions posed based on my personality and that of Clarkov J. Sahaidachny, my first and main OC, which are very similar in most ways but very different in some areas. These 5 were the results. As for the dere sides, they start out full on and become more mentally sound as time goes on. That part is inspired by the development of Mizore Shirayuki in Rosario + Vampire. It's how I have to do almost everything in life. Start out with a base, then slowly build it into my own thing. It's a bit annoying, but I make do with what I have. On 14th January 2016, the Scottish screenwriter, television producer and journalisRobert Banks Stewart died.

Many Doctor Who fans will remember Robert fondly as the creator of the Zygons.

Edinburgh-born Robert Stewart left school at age fifteen and parlayed his skill into a series of newspaper jobs. His career was interrupted by his National Service, during which he was part of Field Marshal Montgomery's staff. Stewart also began writing plays, and worked for the BBC as a radio commentator for Scottish football matches. He finally left the newspaper industry to serve as a foreign correspondent for Illustrated magazine, prompting a move to London. Stewart was twice married and twice divorced; his first wife bore a daughter, while he had three sons with his second wife, Helen.

When his job with Illustrated came to an end in the late Fifties, Stewart joined the Rank Organisation, initially as a story editor on Interpol Calling. He was soon providing scripts for the programme as well, and he began writing prolifically on shows like Danger Man, Ghost Squad and The Saint, as well as several editions of The Edgar Wallace Mystery Theatre. Stewart's first commission for the BBC came on a 1962 episode of Dr Finlay's Casebook. It was at this stage that he adopted “Robert Banks Stewart” as his professional name, in order to distinguish him from similarly-named writers; Banks was his mother's maiden name. He was also approached to develop ideas for Doctor Who during its formative stages in 1963, though nothing came of this.

The latter part of the Sixties saw Stewart write for everything from The Avengers to Adam Adamant Lives! to Callan. He was a script editor on Armchair Theatre, and earned his first credit as a producer on Intrigue. At the end of the decade, he travelled to Australia to produce and write for Riptide, until issues with the local labour unions prompted him to return to the UK.

In the early Seventies, Stewart wrote for shows like Jason King, Arthur Of The Britons, The Legend Of Robin Hood and Sutherland's Law, while script editing Harriet's Back In Town and Van Der Valk. In the middle of the decade, he developed three serials for Doctor Who, all featuring Tom Baker's Fourth Doctor. Stewart invented the Zygons for  Terror Of The Zygons- set in his native Scotland -- and then the Krynoids for The Seeds Of Doom. He had written most of the storyline for “The Foe From The Future” when Thames Television hired him to script edit Rooms and Armchair Thriller

The producer of Doctor Who during Stewart's time on the show was Philip Hinchcliffe, who subsequently moved to Target. When Hinchcliffe was preparing to leave the police drama, he suggested that Stewart take over, only for Target to be cancelled altogether. Instead, Stewart created two very popular series in a similar vein: first Shoestring, starring Trevor Eve, and then Bergerac with John Nettles. After an unhappy spell in the mid-Eighties as the executive producer of drama for London Weekend Television, Stewart returned to the BBC to produce Lovejoy and develop Call Me Mister. He rounded off the decade as the producer of Hannay and Storyboard.

The Nineties began with Stewart producing another hit, as he helped to launch Catherine Zeta-Jones' career with The Darling Buds Of May. He went on to produce another of his own creations, Moon And Son, before working on McCallum for Philip Hinchcliffe, who was now the Controller of Drama for Scottish Television. Stewart's final scriptwriting credit was for My Uncle Silas at the start of the new millennium. Although he was keen to continue working in television, Stewart was frustrated to find his age a barrier in securing work. Instead, he adapted an unsuccessful television pitch into a novel: The Hurricane's Tail was released by Kaleidoscope Publishing in 2012. Stewart followed it with his 2015 autobiography, To Put You In The Picture, from Miwk Publishing.

Robert Banks Stewart succumbed to cancer just three months later, on this day in 2016 hw was 84.

Biography: One starry night, near Blue-Eyes home in Hurricane Heights, Seiyaryu and Curse of Dragon saw a falling star land near the garden, burning the vegetation around it. Thinking it was a drunken Hoshiningen falling from the Fairy Kingdom again, they were surprised to find not a star-man, but a purple and red dragon with tiny wings, a burning boulder for a body, and a bizarrely shaped head.

He called himself an Emissary of the Stars, Zeta Pi Rho by name. He claimed to be sent from a nearby solar system to observe the Duelscape and its beings, and volunteered his services as an ambassador. Blue-Eyes was suspicious, but allowed him to be so out of both curiosity and wanted to cement alliances with other kingdoms.

To Blue-Eyes' surprise, the boulder-shaped Dragon was true to his word, and has since treated all monsters as equals. He disapproves of being an unprovoked destroyer, and tries his best to keep the peace. However, he's also a large target for the more malicious monsters like Zorc and Insect Queen. As such, he's often accompanied by spirit brothers Black Skull Dragon and Meteor Black Dragon.

OC #1 - Nova

Time to introduce the first OC of mine. He has no art yet and I am crappy at making art, but I can tell how he looks like in appearance, at least. He has silver-opal-blue esque short hair (hair length is a little longer than Adrien’s and a different style), dark blue eyes and is normal built. He wears casual stuff to not stick out. 

His name is Nova. He is a 17 year old boy from Planet Zeta; the same planet Majestia and Ignoblia originate from. He holds superpowers to a similar extent, as he is Ignoblia’s very own biological son. Things like breaking the sound barrier and punching a supervillain through multiple buildings is something he is not capable of just yet - that comes with age. But he is still fast enough to keep up with Mercury (that blue superhero from the NY special) and can fly, as well has solid, over-human strength. Of course, he has it’s own weaknesses, since else, it would be OP and I dislike the concept of too perfect characters - unless it’s self aware, then it could be funny.

When he was young, he witnessed the battle between Majestia and Ignoblia, that decided the fate of the planet - Majestia was the leader now after their mother died when she defended the planet from a storm of destructive energy (sound familiar?), as the people of Zeta had chosen. Of course, Ignoblia didn’t like that. She wanted control over the planet, so she fought it out with Majestia. Majestia was able to keep her away for now, but obviously, she returned and that battle took place all the way to Earth - where she met Barbara/Knightowl. Even though she intended to take the battle against Ignoblia alone, Barbara formed a group as a backup plan (that included Thorn, Hurricane, Mercury and Sting at first) and with their powers combined, they managed to defeat Ignoblia, with Majestia sealing her away. That was when she took on the name Olympia Hill and formed the United HeroeZ (Aeon was built a couple years later and Jess was already born when this happened). 

Nova, however, was still left behind on Zeta - but thankfully was raised by his father Cycnus (Ignoblia’s former husband), who believed that it is for the better that Ignoblia is away. But Nova slowly wanted to know more about the family he never had - most especially, Majestia. His mother barely told him anything about her and knowing she left to Earth, Nova wanted to follow. His father didn’t want him to, but after a little bit of Nova’s convincing, he gave in - but with a condition. He would not be allowed to use his powers under humankind. Fair enough, Nova thought.

But when he arrived, he used his powers but made sure that no one was around. For most part, he didn’t need to - he only used them if it had been an emergency. His mission on Earth was simple - find Majestia. Could be a little hard though, as he didn’t know where exactly she is. But after staying with a newfound friend for a bit, he discovered where she was last sighted - New York.

So, that is essentially all I got so far. The story that I posted earlier basically describes his search and if he is able to find her, or not. I have already plans for how this ends and I will come back to this once the story is over.

as of maybe an hour ago, Hurricane Zeta strengthened to a very strong category 2 with 110 mph winds. 111 mph and the storm will be a cat 3. the storm strengthened so quickly it's given no one a chance to leave as it makes land fall within the next hour.

So how is everyone in the path of Zeta doing? We have had no power since 4 am (going on 8 hours at this point) with no answers of when it will be back. So we've had to transfer everything from the fridge into coolers. Meal prep with no stove will also be interesting.

I can also say that all three kids jumping in our bed terrified of the storm is nowhere near as fun as The Sound of Music would lead you to believe.
