BE WARNED: These kanji were NOT chosen to represent these countries because of their semantic content. They were chosen for their pronunciation. Kanji country names are (with very few exceptions; see the entry on Iceland) purely phonetic transcriptions except the characters happen to also have semantic meaning, because kanji. More on that under the cut.

That being said, I am a hetalia fan in the year of our lord 2022 and where would I be without some completely baseless extrapolation masquerading as legitimate research?

The semantic content of these kanji really struck me as oddly fitting for both the actual nations and their hetalia personifications, but again, like I said – baseless extrapolating. Leave me alone in my blissful delusion.

On a brighter note, Isn’t the amount of connotations that can be encompassed by a single kanji character simply wonderful?

Although in the past century katakana has become the widespread standard for writing foreign country names, kanji characters are still used in certain (often relatively formal) situations, and the association between nation names and certain kanji remain strong to this day. In particular, compounds such as 「日英（nichi-ei）同盟」 (the Anglo-Japanese Alliance, with 日 for Japan and 英 for Britain) or 「普仏（fu-futsu）戦争」　(the Franco-Prussian War, with 普 for Prussia and 仏 for France) are pretty much always written in kanji and read with kun’yomi pronunciation*, unless the countries in question are relatively obscure enough that the average Japanese person would not be expected to recognise their names in kanji.

Another context in which kanji abbreviations are used more frequently than the corresponding katakana transcriptions is, you guessed it, the Japanese hetalia fandom. This is done partly in order to save space, but mostly it’s to avoid accidentally traumatising poor innocent people on the look out for nation-related stuff that is not anthropomorphic porn.

Kanji names, like katakana ones, are usually transliterations; however, in some cases the translation might be literal (e.g. Iceland is written as 氷州, lit. ‘ice state’). Since a lot of kanji share similar pronunciations, the choice of a particular character for a nation’s name reflects not only phonetic features but also, to a limited extent, how that nation is perceived by the Japanese people.

As a show of diplomatic courtesy, kanji with ‘bad’ connotations are generally avoided. There are even historical records of foreign delegates getting offended by the transliteration of their nation’s name and demanding a different set of characters. The Japanese wikipedia page contains more information on kanji transliteration in general as well as a full list of nation names in kanji.

*For comparison, the katakana transcriptions for Britain, Prussian, and France read respectively igirisu, puroisen, and furansu. Britain is a slightly more complicated case, but oh well we’re not getting into that here.

TMM Alien Weapons/Attacks

The names of weapons and attacks in Tokyo Mew Mew have a history of being horribly mistranslated. 

Putting aside the Ribbon/Reborn debate and Tokyopop’s inexplicable mangling of English words (Mintoon Alo, Lettuce Flash), the anime subtitles get weird whenever the subbers mishear a word or attempt to guess at which kanji is used without having access to the script. This results in stuff like the Mewberry Rod becoming the New Berry Lot and all the aliens’ attacks being wildly inconsistent. 

In general, the aliens’ weapons/attacks follow these rules:

1) Name of the weapon is the name of the main attack. (There can be more attacks with varying names or without names at all, though).

2) Main name/attack is in Japanese rather than English and consists of three kanji.

3) Color scheme is either red/yellow/purple or silver/black/blue/red.

4) Has a symbol involving a circle and some lines/shapes surrounding it. This symbol seems to be unique to the alien and shows up on most chimeras they create.

5) Design is inexplicably based on a human weapon despite no contact with Earth for millions of years.

The fact that the attacks are anime-original and written in kanji was a big problem for subbers with no script to refer to. Sometimes they misheard the attack itself (Kuu Rai Sen was heard as Fuu Rai Sen) and sometimes they heard the correct pronunciation but didn’t know the exact kanji used and guessed at the meaning based on context. 

The success of this varied.

Let’s start by looking at Pie, who has the greatest number of attacks and is most consistently mistranslated and mistranscribed.

Pie’s fan is looks like it’s based on an uchiwa, a type of non-folding Japanese paper fan.

His symbol is in the center, and it appears on the Chimera Anima he makes (most of the time...).

Pie’s main attacks are listed on the Japanese Wikipedia page for TMM.

They are:  空雷扇 (kuu rai sen) and  空雷旋風神 (kuu rai senpuu jin).

The first is the one the subs refer to as “Windy Thunder Fan” because the subbers heard fuu instead of kuu and assumed it used 風 (wind) instead of 空 (sky). The kanji are literally “sky/empty space,” “thunder/lightning,” and “fan,” so I think “Sky Lightning Fan” would probably be more accurate.

The second attack is the misleading one. 

It sounds like it adds on puujin to the end of the original attack, but it really replaces the sen meaning fan with a different kanji to make up senpuu (旋風), meaning whirlwind. The last kanji means god, so a literal translation would be something like “Sky Lightning Whirlwind God.” The subs translate this as “Stormy Thunder Tornado Formation” because the subbers assume the kanji is  風雷扇風陣 (lit., wind thunder fan wind battle-formation) instead.

Pie also has a few other attacks, like 風氷扇 (kuu hyou sen) or “Sky Ice Fan” and   風刺扇 (fuu shi sen) or “Sky Cutting/Piercing Fan.”

Tart’s weapon is mainly based on the vintage American toy Clackers, but the way he throws it to capture people is inspired by bolas, an Argentinian weapon.

His symbol is found on each ball and also on most of the Chimera Anima he makes.

Like Pie, Tart has a lightning attack, so you’d assume that the rai in his attack/weapon name would be 雷 for lightning, but it’s actually not. 

According to Wikipedia, Tart’s attack is 宝来球 (hou rai kyuu).

The kanji literally mean “treasure,” “come/next/become,” and “sphere.” The second kanji is also used as a verb with the sense of coming to something and, more relevantly, coming back to something, so I think it’s used in the sense of the sphere returning to the same position again and again as it spins. So a very literal (and horribly uncomfortable) translation might be “Treasure Coming Sphere,” but something like “Treasure Returning Sphere” would be better.

Quiche’s swords are clearly based on sai, which are a traditional Okinawan weapon. Sai aren’t usually pointed, but Quiche uses his like swords and they’re sometimes drawn as having a flat blade rather than a rounded metal spike.

His symbol is a little less obvious than Pie’s or Tart’s. It’s made up of the blue gem, the two black lines on the prongs and the red teardrop shape on the handle.

Quiche doesn’t usually name his attacks, but he says his weapon name while summoning it.

His weapon is called 釵龍刀 (sai ryuu tou), which is literally “sai,” “dragon,” and “single-edged sword.” The subbers translate this as “Dragon Swords,” which is probably fine. You could use something like “Sai Dragon Swords” if you really want to include all the parts or else “Bladed Dragon Sai” if you’re willing to stretch it a little.

This last one is sort of a weird one since it belongs to the Blue Knight and Deep Blue and doesn’t seem to follow the naming rules for the others. 

As far as I could tell, the sword is more of a fantasy mishmash of European-style double-edged swords than it is a reference to any one type. The blade looks vaguely like a Zweihander (really long two-handed German sword), but it’s clearly too short. To be honest, the look of the handle and the way the blade comes out reminds me of a lightsaber more than anything else.

Deep Blue never summons any Chimera Anima, so there’s no way to confirm his symbol (or if he has one). His sword looks vaguely like Quiche’s, so here’s a few possibilities based on that.

The sword itself is never named, and neither the Blue Knight nor Deep Blue have any named attacks.

At least in the anime.

The Blue Knight does have one named attack in the manga: 彗星藍玉斬 (suisei aidama zan). Suisei is “comet” and aidama literally means “indigo gem” but actually refers to aquamarine. Zan means something along the lines of cutting/wounding with a sword. So, “Comet Aquamarine Slash” or “Aquamarine Comet Slash” for more natural English order.

Tokyopop translates it as “Indigo Comet Blade” and Kodansha translates it as “Blue Comet Slash.”

Speaking of the manga, Pie actually uses Kuu Rai Sen once to break a pipe despite 1) not having a fan and 2) all of the aliens including him having used energy blasts like that before without saying anything. I guess it’s more of Ikumi incorporating parts from the anime. Tokyopop calls it “Blade of Thunder,” and Kodansha calls it “Air Thunder Fan.” 

There’s also one single panel where it looks like Tart and Pie might have their anime weapons, but it’s hard to tell since they’re so small.

Otherwise, at least Quiche and Tart have very skinny knives, and Quiche fights with tonfa (another traditional Okinawan weapon) instead of sai. BK/DB still has a European-style double-edged sword, but it’s so generic that it’s literally the glowing silhouette of a sword.

People have been using stuff like “Windy Thunder Fan” for a while and I’d be glad to see them switch to “Sky Lightning Fan” or “Air Thunder Fan” like in the Kodansha manga. But I honestly think that most people tend to use things like “Kuu Rai Sen” (I mean, in that case they might use Fuu, but awareness is growing). This is pretty common for attack/technique names from manga and anime (e.g., jutsu from Naruto) because they sound cool in Japanese and weird when translated literally. 

If you’re writing fanfic you could try taking a page from some official translators and prettying up the translation, i.e., keeping the spirit of the original name but making it sound cooler/flow better in English. So, “Sky Lightning Fan” could be “Celestial Lightning Fan” or you could fudge “Coming” or “Returning” into “Revolution.”

Or else you could go the scanlation/subtitle root and rely on on-page translation notes. 

One other thing to consider is the fact that it makes no sense for them to actually be speaking Japanese (they’re aliens) so there’s got to be some kind of translation going on in-universe. This means you can justify being really liberal with your translation choices because who’s to say that wasn’t what they actually said before the alien to Japanese translator messed it up? Does the word for sky have the same connotations after millennia underground? What was the word that is translated as “sai”?

Ok let’s have a brief but fun post today :D

1. 表現(ひょうげん｜hyou-gen): expression, representation

As I mentioned before, Yuzuru has always wanted his jumps to blend into his program well, and he takes the expression of all elements very seriously:

What's your opinion on Frost? A lot of ppl hate her because of her personality and motives but I have a little soft spot for her. Maybe if they add some more depth to her then more ppl would be open to her? Idk.

So Frost is a bit odd for me because she’s very similar to my OC Ice who actually pre-dates Frost by a few years. I came up with my OC in 1999 and Frost wasn’t introduced until 2002, so being a silly kid I was honestly convinced that Boon stole her from me. I was really active on MK message boards in the late 90s early 00s and often role-played Ice. The designs were so similar though Ice always had long hair, but both had icy blue hair, were Lin Kuei, wore slutty versions of the Lin Kuei uniform and both are total bitches. So, when Frost showed up I was shook. The big difference I suppose is Ice isn’t angry, she’s just a tsundere bitch who’s obsessed with doing anything to make Bi-Han happy.

I don’t really have anything against Frost but to me she’s just an angrier Bi-Han who hasn’t done anything canonically to earn the confidence/cockiness she has. I think she’s just a victim of bad kharacter writing, she doesn’t seem very well thought out and doesn’t have much background to her. I mean we know she killed her parents and she fights Cassie in a sexy cage match in the MKX comics but like what else? Oh I guess she tries to steal the dragon medallion from Kuai Liang too doesn’t she? Honestly I probably don’t know as much about Frost as I should. All I know is she doesn’t bother me, I don’t dislike her but she isn’t one of my favorites either, but I do like cryomancers by default. I think at the end of the day though I’ll always feel like Boon ripped me off lol

I had a little fun in Procreate and decided to do a rough sketch of Ice, she looks sad though she probably disappointed Bi-Han again somehow. I’m sure she’ll figure out how to make it up to him though 🤭 I think it came out great for a rusty ass sketch, used an old pic of her as reference. What do you loves think? Is she boring should I still stick to self shipping or should I get back into more OC things in a hope of becoming more sociable in the community? Thoughts?

I wish I had money for a spicy commission but I’m saving it cause I’m going on vacation in less than two weeks which I’m very excited about. I get to see my Dad 🥰 maybe when I get back though I can save up a bit a get some Bi-Han dick 😏 I suppose I could try and draw it myself but I always feel awkward drawing me lol or maybe I should sketch my OC Ice more? I found an old drawing of her going through some old CDs and it made me miss drawing her, I kind of miss her in general, she was my MK insert since 1998?? Powers:

Being a full blooded cryomancer Hyou is an absolute beast when it comes to offensive and defensive cryomancy. When she’s one-on-one she’s very aggressive and offensive, she relies primarily on large scale barrage attacks (think Gilgamesh’s Gate of Babylon) she will literally rain icicles down on her opponent until they’re no more. When she’s paired up with Bi-Han she switches to a primarily defensive stance and will stomp her feet or pound the ground with her hands creating thick walls of ice for protection. Her real ferocity lies in her ability to control and create ice with a frightening precision and flip-flop styles at the drop of a hat.

Personality:

Hyou is a spoiled, tsundere brat who pretty much hates everyone but Bi-Han, she of course tolerates the rest of the Lin Kuei, minus Sektor, but tolerate is as far as it goes. She’s cold through and through, and had to be to survive the cutthroat environment she grew up in, the only person who sees a softer side of her is Bi-Han. She has a tendency to look down on her fellow Lin Kuei members since Bi-Han’s arrogance and air of superiority has definitely rubbed off on her and while she doesn’t necessarily NEED Bi-Han to settle her problems for her she will definitely name drop if she needs to. She definitely rubs people the wrong way, but is a fiercely loyal and devoted person if you can get past her defenses.

History:

Hyou is full-blooded cryomancer, her parents left Outworld for Earth (Japan) long before she was born. She was kidnapped around the age of four by the Lin Kuei, after news of a full-blooded cryomancer reached the Grandmaster’s ears. Growing up in the Lin Kuei isn’t easy under any circumstances and Hyou was granted no breaks and no luxuries despite being one of the only women there. Being a fellow cryomancer she bonded quickly with the Sub-Zero brothers, the three were quite close and during her younger years the three had very much a close sibling relationship. She spent most of her childhood crawling into Bi-Han’s bed at night when she got sad or lonely. Despite being a full-blooded cryomancer she can't seem to best either brother, she's close to being on par with Kuai Liang, but Bi-Han's a different story, even she gets physically cold around him. She’s spent her entire life training hard to be the perfect support partner for Bi-Han and while her offense might not be as strong as Bi-Han’s is, her defense is second to none, no one can even come close to laying a hand on him when she’s around. For the first few years at the Lin Kuei she refused to speak Chinese, even though that was all her instructors used, so Bi-Han aka #1 big brother of year learned Japanese just to communicate with her, which is probably what made her fall in love with him in the first place. She finally had someone she could communicate with and while now she speaks Mandarin, Cantonese and English in addition to Japanese it makes her hold back a silly little grin anytime Bi-Han still talks to her in Japanese. She's closer in age to Kuai Liang, than she is Bi-Han, but she's still a good bit younger, 7 and 10 years respectively so, she grew up constantly fighting and bickering with Kuai Liang and being spoiled by Bi-Han. He would often take her to town to get their favorite dessert baobing (shaved ice), they both like theirs with pudding and condensed milk; while leaving Kuai Liang at home. The older Hyou got the more she realized she didn't see Bi-Han as her brother, and found herself looking forward to spending as much time as she could with him and at some point she finally realized she’d fallen in love with him for real. Bi-Han was a little put off by it given their dynamic, he had essentially raised Hyou just as he had Kuai Liang, he had been her sifu when it came to cryomancy and had taught her everything he knew about being a Lin Kuei, but deep down he realized she was no longer the terrified little girl who snuck in his room anymore and eventually gave in. Kuai Liang doesn’t exactly approve of their relationship since he’s used to seeing Hyou as their younger sister, but at the same time he wants his brother and Hyou to be happy. The sneaking into Bi-Han’s room quickly resumed once she had finally won over Bi-Han.

After Bi-Han was killed in the first tournament Hyou left the Lin Kuei, fearing the cyberization of the clan she fled to her homeland, and disappeared in the the remote, frozen lands of northern Hokkaido. She stayed in touch with Kuai Liang for a while, but she didn't/doesn't agree with Kuai Liang's decision to become Sub-Zero, to her Bi-Han is the only Sub-Zero. Their relationship has been strained ever since, but she does her best to distance herself from him entirely since seeing Kuai Liang in Bi-Han’s colors makes her heart arch with grief and sorrow. She would never admit that though and lashes out at Liang with rage and aggression to mask her true emotions, years of Lin Kuei indoctrination had ingrained a need to hide any weakness. She's startled, needless to say, when a dark shadow walked through her wall one day, and even though she doesn't love the idea of being aligned with her lover's murder but she's willing to do anything for Bi-Han. She's no longer loyal to the Lin Kuei, but she's not loyal to the Brotherhood of Shadow, she's loyal solely to Bi-Han, but hates visiting him in the Netherrealm, she'd rather him come to her.

MK11 Ending:

“Swallowing down my pride and grief I seek out Kuai Liang for his help in destroying the titan. I play my part as a loyal, devoted servant well as I follow Noob Saibot to one of his meetings with Kronika, while Kuai Liang keeps the titan distracted I am able to steal her crown with ease, Noob isn’t the only master thief here after all. Before any of them even realized what was happening I was able to rewind the sands of time, back before Kuai Liang was Sub-Zero, before the cyberization of the Lin Kuei, before the first tournament to a time when Bi-Han was alive and the two of us were happy. The first thing I do is to wipe Quan Chi and his whores from existence, removing the catalyst of Bi-Han’s demise. It doesn’t stop there though, I don’t repeat my mistakes, I don’t beg Bi-Han to leave the Lin Kuei with me, instead I encourage him to seize the throne from Sektor’s Father, Bi-Han’s already killed one Grandmaster (his grandfather), so what’s one more? With Bi-Han as the new Grandmaster he sends Tundra to the Tournament in his stead, he was in no danger though, Scorpion was long dead and permanently, Tundra wins and brings fame and wealth to the clan. Life couldn’t be better now, Bi-Han is in his rightful place both within the clan and by my side, his relationship with Kuai Liang is no longer strained as Tundra has no complaints following his brother’s commands. As for Bi-Han and I? Well, things might get a little hectic when he finds out he’s about to be a Father.”

lol oh I’m well aware of them, Bi-Han’s (and Kuai’s) animality is actually a Polar Bear, hence my pet name for him. As for Ice it would make sense for her to have a wintery related animality too so she’d totally be a nanuqsaurus. (Thanks to @stillfuckinbetterthanyou for making me aware of them! 😘) Which are dinosaurs about half the size of a T-Rex but are not too far off in appearance. Did someone ask for some Yandere!Sektor? Yes actually! @whatamidoingwithmylifeman​ asked me to write this disaster, between Sektor and her OC Michiko. I decided to have a little fun and pad out the beginning of the story with some interactions with my OC Ice too. It was just routine sparring but as usual but being the Grandmaster’s daughter drew the ire and jealousy of your classmate and they decided to take their displeasure out on you and your shoulder. You weren’t the Grandmaster’s daughter by blood, your adoptive Mother had found you abandoned in the Dead Woods as a baby, wrapped in nothing but a blanket that had your name embroidered in it. She had pleaded with the man you now called your Father to take you in and raised you as her own along with your adopted brother, Sektor.

               “Hey Michiko! Wait up!” one of the boys from your group calls to you as he runs to catch up to you.

               You stop and give him a cheerful smile. Like the other Lin Kuei, you’d grown up with him for as long as you could remember, he was your best friend, he never treated you differently just because you were the Grandmaster’s daughter, or because of your overprotective jerk of a brother. To him you were just Michiko. “Out of breath just from that little run? Which one of us actually got our asses kicked today, huh?”

               He chuckles, returning your smile, “Well from the way you’re holding you’re shoulder I’d say it’s pretty fair to assume it’s you. What on earth did you do to piss Hyou, I mean Ice, off like that? I keep forgetting she’s earned her mantle already.” He pauses to look a bit embarrassed by the fact that he held no such mantle or title and wasn’t even close to one. “She’s usually so cold and distant, I’ve never seen her lose her cool like that.”

               You frown at the mention of the cryomancer, you’d think what with being a yuki onna, an ice spirit; yourself that you’d get along well with cold woman. The two of you used to be close but something changed between you two when your brother Sektor, and Bi-Han, her mentor, lover, you weren’t even sure anymore; started fight each other all the time over who would succeed your Father as Grandmaster. It put you in an awkward position with your fellow classmate seemingly forcing her to side with Bi-Han while you were expected to side with Sektor. “Let’s just say don’t let her catch you talking shit about Bi-Han,” you reply chuckling.

               “What’s their deal anyway?” he asks giving you an inquisitive look as he leans against the wall of the courtyard, neither of you in a hurry to go inside to face the horrors of slimy stewed mountain vegetables and stale mantou leftover from breakfast.

               “Ice and Bi-Han? I have no idea, I tried to ask Gēgē but he just got pissed about it, ranting about how Bi-Han is a good for nothing womanizing fuckboi and Ice is just his unsuspecting prey. Why she hates me so much all of a sudden, I have no clue, I’m pretty sure she hates everyone other than Bi-Han,” you can’t help but giggle. You really did try your best to get along with your fellow clansmen, and you certainly didn’t hate either cryomancer, but you can’t help but enjoy bit a gossip here and there just as well as the next person did.

               “Think they’ve gone all the way yet?” the boy asks, his face coloring with a hint of red as he shifts anxiously back and forth, his embarrassment evident.

               “Absolutely no way! Are you kidding me? If Bi-Han had done anything to her she’d never shut up about it! She’d brag worse than Bi-Han and my brother do!” you insist, laughing harder, your own cheeks flushing with a bit of embarrassment.

               “What about you, huh? You gone all the way yet?” he asks, the tone of his voice unsteady as he fights his way through the question, his blush spreading further across his cheeks.

               You’re so caught off guard by the question you lose your balance and trip on a stray pebble, finding yourself in his strong arms before you can crash into the ground. You blush harder as you’re suddenly pulled flush against his hard torso as he pulls you upright “N-no way,” you manage to stammer out before you’re jerked backed suddenly.

               “Get your hands off of my sister, you worthless little shit. No one is allowed to touch Michiko but me,” you wince as you hear your brother’s harsh voice berating your friend. He wraps his arms around your shoulders tight enough to make you cry out from your earlier injury, but he pays you no mind. “If I ever catch you with her again, I will show no mercy,” he growls at your classmate, teeth bared.

               “S-Sektor!” he stammers out, backing himself back into the wall, “I was just chatting with Michiko, we-we’re just friends, she got pretty beat up in class I just was making sure she was ok.” He manages to choke out, utterly overwhelmed by the sheer malice rolling off of Sektor.

               “I’ll see to her myself,” he hisses before adding, “leave. Now.” You can feel his glare as your classmate scrambles away and into the main building, eager to put as much distance as he can between himself and your overly possessive adopted brother.

               “Ow! Gēgē! You asshole! Let me go!” you yelp and stomp on Sektor’s foot trying to force him to release you.

               Sektor scowls as he reluctantly unwraps his arms, he doesn’t let you out of his grasp entirely though, he grabs your wrist pulling you closer to look you over. “What did he mean you got pretty beat up? Who dared to lay a hand on you, you’re mine and everyone knows it.”

               “Hyou just got a little out of hand during a sparring match it wasn’t really a big deal, I apparently shouldn’t have agreed with my classmates that you’d kick Bi-Han’s ass if the two of you actually went all out.” You explain trying to keep your tone light and cheerful, not wanting to set Sektor off any further.

               “I’ll talk to Bi-Han and tell him to keep his bitch in line,” he growls tugging you along with him towards the dining hall. He pauses before the two of you go in, stroking your cheek affectionately, “I am glad to hear you defended me like that though,” he purrs leaning down to sniff your hair deeply before dropping a kiss on the top of your head. “You made your Gēgē very proud.”

               You shiver uncomfortably in his grasp, tiny tendrils of frost creeping along the floor as you try and control yourself, “Yeah, um of course Gēgē, we’re family after all we uh have to stick together. I’m uh going to go eat with my friends now ok?” You’re able to finally pull away from him and without even waiting for his ok you run off towards your classmates all piled together at the end of one of the long tables. You keep your eye on Sektor though, as he foolishly approaches the group of three cryomancers, Kuai Liang is seated next to his older brother Bi-Han, and Ice the one you had the conflict early sat rather smugly in the eldest cryomancer’s lap. “They’ve totally done it,” you whisper to yourself. You strain your ears to hear the exchange, you don’t want to go any closer but you’re desperate to hear the cryomancer lay into your adopted brother.

               “You need to keep your bitch on a shorter leash Bi-Han!” Sektor shouts, and you don’t even have to strain, he yells it loud enough for the whole room to hear, which immediately causes an eerie hush to fall over the dining hall.

               “The fuck did you just call her Sektor?” Bi-Han returns angrily setting the girl next to his brother on the long bench. Quicker than your eyes can make out the cryomancer coats his fist in ice as it connects solidly with Sektor’s jaw sending your adopted brother flying.

               Sektor stumbles to his feet, blood gushing from his split lip as he gets back up in Bi-Han’s face, being absolutely dwarfed by the tall cryomancer, but it does little to deter him as he lands a solid kick to Bi-Han’s flawless torso. “I called her a bitch, which is a polite term for anyone stupid enough to lay with you! Your little whore attacked my sister during class today, and I’m demanding an apology.”

This is exactly why I’ll be Grandmaster and not your weak, pathetic ass.” He smirks arrogantly before adding “Kuai, Hyou we’re leaving, I can’t eat while this place reeks of Sektor’s shit,” the two are quick to follow the oldest cryomancer’s lead.

               Hyou gives you another apologetic look and a slight shrug before trotting after Kuai Liang and Bi-Han, you take that as your cue to exit as well, you haven’t eaten yet, but you’d rather face a night of hunger than a night of soothing Sektor’s enraged and bruised ego.

               You manage to make it back to your room without incident, thankful that Sektor must have decided to go to the infirmary to get his cuts treated.
