Not Alastor making sure to first point at Husk with a warning expression before turning back to Charlie for his welcome home. This guy REALLY doesn't want Husk to say shit huh.
And Husk is obviously annoyed as hell (or judgmental? resigned? what is this expression exactly) but he joins the group hug anyway. Never change, Husk.

S1 Jonsasha AU where Sasha is the Archivist and they start slowly spiraling as they uncover more and more mysteries. Their fascination with The Horrors drives them into each other’s arms. They stay later and later. The storage closet becomes a shared living space for them. Martin hasn’t noticed. Tim doesn’t know what to say to get his friends back. They’re losing themselves in the Archives. They egg each other on. They start becoming more paranoid. Jon is so endlessly, doggedly loyal. This is the only person who can understand him. This is the only person who he has ever understood. They love each other so so much.

I have to know. why is Chester evil and full of hate crimes? his tag on your blog makes me laugh so much but I'm so curious!
The easiest answer is because he’s a parrot and even the nicest of parrots are kind of assholes. Parrots are not a domesticated animal like dogs or cats, even if they’re born in captivity. They make awful pets because they are destructive and often times aggressive. Even Joey, who is my darling angel boy, will bite me if he feels I’ve wronged him. He doesn’t bite to maim and kill like Chester does, but it still hurts. (It hurts my feelings too, but that’s another story.)
On top of that, many parrots are severely neglected at some point in their life. In the wild they’d live in huge flocks and travel all over and spend all day foraging and flying. Even in the best possible homes in captivity they don’t get as much stimulation as they should. I’m not trying to necessarily say anything bad about Chester’s previous owner because all things considered she did okay. I have seen far worse homes. She was an elderly woman who bought him in the 90’s. Parrot care was not good then and you couldn’t necessarily just jump on the internet and find a ton of resources.
Chester was never properly socialized, his cage was much too small, and he definitely didn’t get enough stimulation. This all leads to a depressed and aggressive parrot. Things only got worse when his owner became sick and was spending a lot of time in the hospital. For all the things she was doing wrong she did try to make him a part of the family. So when she started going in and out of the hospital he went from getting out at least a couple times a week to being stuck in his cage all the time.
This is just my long way of saying he was neglected and never properly socialized. But also he is not domesticated and we can’t expect him to act like a domesticated animal.

oc question for flumblr bc i've been thinking about it:
how do your characters open & sign off their letters?? does it change depending on their feelings/closeness to who they're writing to? tell me your thoughts i wanna know👀
twitch always opens theirs with some variation of "ahoy and good morrow to you, my [some kind of bizarre adverb+title they've assigned you]" and Always signs off with "Ciao! ~Capt. Twitchery" no variation, no matter how they feel
grace addresses letters with "dearest [title/surname]" and always signs off with "Your obedient servant, Lt.Grace." he doesn't change it often, but if you somehow push him to using "kind regards" then he fucking hates you. if you somehow get him to use "regards" it's because he thinks you should be dead

one of these templates for the gort throws it at you.
but first of all there are different situations to be considered for all of these and THEN gorty boy also has 8 billion different manipulation masks so. some of these are difficult!!!!! and also if he’s empathetic or obedient is very much dependent on your definition of that word and what he is obedient to. anyways sorry for being cringe

It’s so fascinating to me that Festus Creed had liked (or at least tolerated) Sejanus (to an extent). Obviously, I don’t think they were friends per se but it intrigues me that they were at least friendly to some degree.
I would absolutely love to see what their interactions would have been like pre-hunger games.
Give me Festus Creed and Sejanus Plinth being partnered for a project, talking about their father’s businesses, discussing a homework assignment, or their future plans.
Give me some sort of positive interactions between Festus Creed and the other academy students that aren’t Coriolanus.
Give me anything.

one thing that is very funny is that I got several asks back in the hot days of totk discourse telling me they were glad I had no hand in shaping tloz, and in truth I actually really really agree? I am happy with my own takes on things and I don't think my pursuits are a waste or worthless, but I just... I do severely lack whismy. It's a thing that I just can't really make up for --you can't invent a way to be whimsical if you aren't (just like you can't make yourself spontaneous --and I am very much not that either). There's other artistic qualities that I possess I think, some that are not... unbeneficial to my fanwork on Zelda even. But whimsy is simply not one of them, and when you tackle Zelda, you do feel this lack of levity creeping up on you pretty dang fast
