Originally I added the bandages to mirror my real hands being covered in Band-Aids when I made my sona. :0 (It was due to cat scratches and dry skin don't worry-)

Now they represent my "artist hands".... and my still really dry skin XDD

Oh yeah absolutely. His crab arm is so heavy that if he falls into the water he'll sink 😬 he cant move it fast enough to help him swim to the surface.. good thing Blue Beauty is always nearby! <XD

It also takes a lot of energy to move and he deals with sore back/shoulder muscles a lot. The way the crab arm formed, its like all the muscles in his back are used to lift and operate it. When he walks around he kind'a uses it as a crutch or a third leg. His legs each take a step and then his crab arm lifts forward and clunks on the ground.

"tap tap.. CLUNK. tap tap.. CLUNK."

Despite all this though, Louis still really likes his new arm and isn't bothered much by all the hardships it brings :)

eheheh happy new you to you too, anon!! i hope the new year treats you well! i hope you enjoy this! had a real fun idea for caine and theres likely a chance he may or may not have outshined the other two SOBS

CAINE:

honestly i think he might play into it a little too much... do i think he would tell you EVERYTHING he knows about the circus and its secrets? oh definitely not! otherwise whats the point of letting you play detective? but i do think he might lead you on a few searches and clues, whether all of these will lead to any valuble info is debatable, though.... i do think he would tell you SOME stuff... just not all... hmm... maybe he even tags along with you while youre trying to find clues for an escape, like a weird sidekick, you know! when you take him to the side to be interogatted i think he really puts on a show for you; but he cant quite seem to dedicate himself to one role... does he blabber on about how he doesnt know anything? or will he commit to stonewalling? really it kind of leaves your head spinning and he thoroughly enjoys it

KINGER:

a little clueless... i mean yeah hes willing to tell you everything he knows... but a lot of the stuff hes going to tell you is going to be stories about some of the former and current circus members as well as some old in house adventures.. you might have to remind him every now and then to get back on track because he might get carried away with telling a story. might tag along with you if you decide to go snooping around for some information, but i think he more so does this out of curiosity than anything! does lend a hand with trying to solve some smaller mysteries that you come across along the way; usually theyre inner conflicts with the other circus members.... usually they involve jax being an ass... but hey, it keeps you busy and gives you something to do other than sitting and losing your marbles! not the best partner, though, if the pilot anything is to go by... though he does look like the type of character to randomly remember a really obscure detail.. like a lil gag or something

GANGLE:

definitely clams up when you try to get some clues and other stuff out of her... not that shes guilty of anything, no no its not that... but you might just come off as a little intense depending on how youre going about trying to draw information out of her! shes sensitive! occasionally tags along when youre looking for things, kind of out of a mix of curiosity and worry me thinks... what are you doing, exactly? honestly i can kind of see you utilizing her for info, in a weird way. shes quiet and tends to stick to herself so she might be able to sneak around and be able to soak up information from others as they talk. kind of fades into the background... kind of sad, actually, and that might actually lead to some conflict between the two of you depending on how you go about asking her for help in that way; sometimes makes her feel used... hmmm... generally does not help you unless asked, though, as she wishes to stay out of the way fearing that shes going to gum something up, you know?

fyodor - this fucker would legit get to the point where he actually fucking tries to kill you, and then a month later you’re just. back in his house. probably tied to a chair while he straddles your lap and pets your hair and coos about how badly he’s yearned for his little golubchik (little dove) since you last parted ways and how glad he was when he heard you were okay and how you guys should totally get married in the eyes of the lord and youre about to have a fucking anuersysm.probably wants to just pretend it Didnt Happen. he’d be very unequipped to deal with Feelings Of Guilt so he assauges it by showering you in affection and gifts and larping as Loving Husband. might tamper with you juuuust a touch so you forget about the whole thing, cuz seeing you flinch and try to get away from him makes his chest all tight and he doesnt Like It so you gotta stop doing it <3

gogol - all my ideas for him are VERY similar to what i already have down for dazai BUT differences are that he doesnt wanna torture you cuz he Dislikes you, he wants to torture you cuz he wants to see your Normal Person-ish reaction to incredible suffering! not only are you going through hellish pain, but it’s being inflicted on someone who you thought cared for you? how ghoulish! your reaction would certainly be one for the books! he gets attached to you probably the same way he did to fyodor, through you making real strides towards understanding him, but your Normal Ways would make him less keen on wanting to murder you and more keen on wanting to stay with you forever and make you his little birdie. you managing to piece together that your bf was actually that clown terrorist youve been hearing so much about DID throw a wrench in things a touch, but hes waaay too impressed with you to be bothered by it! youre even more amazing than he thought! wow! his darling birdie! lets stay together forever! why are you running away come back :(

kouyou - shout out to all my WOMAN LIKERS we got kouyou. gonna have to make this one quick i talked about the russians too much. listen. kouyou? she’s already got some baggage about losing the person she loves to the mafia, so falling for her target is EXTREMELY inconvenient for her. she wants to just ignore her feelings and be rid of you already, to save herself the trouble (insert wont say im in love from hercules somewhere in here), but you’re so... bright. much brighter than she ever thought she’d be able to experience, and you care for her so much… she just cant bring herself to let you slip away. please, dont hate her for bringing you into the darkness with her. she wont let it infect you, she promises! anything and everything to protect her precious light.

honestly i don't think fyodor would ever feel guilt for his previous actions. sure, he's roughed you up far too much for the sake of the mission and ruined your life and tortured your friends but all of that was to bring you both together! everything that happened was for the good of your relationship. he always knew you were something special, back when he decided to use you as a way to get information about yokohama's ability users. in fact, he had already decided back then that he would have you join him to fulfill his goal once he gained what he needed to know. you would be useful in a lot of ways, but mostly he wanted you there for a far more selfish reason.

(it did get pretty lonely at the top.)

you thought fyodor was going to kill you after his true intentions were revealed, but waking up to find him holding you like he was cradling the most wonderful thing in the world made you realize you couldn't be more wrong. he had never been to pushy when you met, never asking anything suspicious enough for you to think he was using you. in fact, you only ever met him once every few weeks in a desolate corner when you felt tired from all your work. maybe that false belief that you two were strangers who would never meet at day was what led you to confide in him things you should never have. things you would have gotten killed for revealing if he hadn't already killed your superiors. whatever it was that convinced you to do such a foolish thing, it ruined your life now.

maybe his strange attachment to you wasn't the worst possible outcome. at the very least, there seemed to be hope of you getting out of here alive if his incessant touches and condescending words didn't completely tear you apart.

nikolai is pretty similar to dazai, except he's never been bothered by the job. he likes messing with people, and it helps that you're just to cute! if you're going to freeze every time he places a hand on your back and look all shocked every time he steals a kiss, he's going to actually start liking you, you know? not a temporary arrangement, like in a 'you're-cute-and-i-can-show-you-off' way, but in a 'you're-never-leaving-my-side-and-ill-gladly-kill-everyone-so-you-only-have-me' way. he's that initially annoying and flirty stranger who eventually grows on you, so much so that when he one day puts a hand around you and gleefully announces that he was your boyfriend, despite never having talked to you about this arrangement, you can't find it in you to object. he is sort of cute, with that killer smile. even if he is so reckless you worry for him all the time and has these frightening rounds of jealousy, you supposed it could work out.

he doesn't even need you to finish his task, to be honest. stealing documents and the like was child's play for nikolai. he just wanted an excuse to mess with you while getting paid. oh, but you treating him so genuinely, with so much care...he can't just let anyone else receive that sort of treatment in the unlikely situation he had to break up with you. if he had to kill you after this arrangement, it would be quite a waste, wouldn't it? you were so sweet to him. there were always other ways to make you cry—ways he was sure you'd enjoy almost as much as him. if you didn't...well, you'd just have to learn to like it!

imagine his shock when he comes to visit one day to find you...gone! like you had disappeared from your place overnight. even he hadn't been expecting this turn, after all, the two of you had been getting even closer. was it because he kept insisting on trying some potentially dangerous things in bed? but you'd have talked to him about it first. this was...unlike you. and then he catches sight of the news and realizes someone had leaked out some of his personal history.

oops. he forgot most people weren't comfortable dating a murderer.

too bad you didn't have a choice anymore! he finds you, as expected. with his ability and his understanding of you, it was only a matter of time. thing is, nikolai doesn't really like to threaten you so badly, really. sure, there were those times when he swore he would tear apart anyone who tried to ask you out, and promised to kill everyone you ever dated before him so that he could be the only living person to boast of such an honor. and he did pull out a knife on you a couple times but it was all fun and games! really! this time, not so much.

nikolai had you grabbing onto the edge of his coat while he dangled you over the edge of a skyscraper, having used his ability to bring you here earlier. you were probably too scared to be listening to him, but all he was asking of you was an apology and a promise to never leave him like that again. promise him you'd always be by his side.

he was so worried for you! this was the least you could do to make it up to him.

koyou would be devastated when she realizes what this feeling was. the strange warmth that came from sitting next to you, sharing meals and talking about work, quiet moments together—she was stupid for letting it go this far. and now...now she was in too deep.

if only she had stuck to her goal and only been an acquaintance to you. if only you hadn't shown her such a beautiful sight and the possibility of a warm future together. she couldn't bear losing you, couldn't live knowing she could never hold you as close as she yearned to after this was over.

unless...she took some disastrous action.

she knew you would hate her more than you already did if she brought you into her world. you would hate it there, but she was foolishly hoping her presence would make it a little more bearable. you were so wonderful to her...could you manage to love her just a little more? could you overlook your disgust for her tainted soul and hold her like you did, before the truth came out?

Vent post ahead that may change your view on me and that may sound dramatic (NOT DIRECTED AT ANYONE, THIS IS JUST IN GENERAL) Mostly just to get out my feelings. I only ask that if you look, to be kind and understanding and patient. Also the tags are silly and id appreciate if you read em. id appreciate if you didnt ask me anything on it

I feel toxic sometimes because i can get so jealous i borderline gatekeep things and I always feel so bad because its never intentional but then I end up hating myself because I know its unhealthy and irrational but I cant help it, and I know im so lucky and have a lot in many senses of the word, but at times it feels like they can be taking everything, because when I like someone or something, they tend to matter a fuck-ton to me. Im sorry to anyone ive lashed out at a bit for them wanting what I have, I really am. Its not coming from a place of hostility, rather a place of trauma responses and hyperfixation that stem from my adhd and autism but like when I try something and it goes great, and then someone else is like "OOH thats awesome I wanna do that too" It feels almost like when Im finally happy or excited or proud to have something, someone comes and takes it. Usually Ill play it off as a joke, but in reality, its complete honesty that im trying to soften so I dont upset anyone, especially when its over fiction or a person, because I do NOT own them and I know that, but it bothers me when someone swoops in to do the exact same things or even one-up especially when its really soon after me, and since my self worth is already abysmal, it just makes me feel worse, like I should be lucky to have what I do to begin with, but I feel the need to hold it close to me and protect it so I dont lose things that make me really happy.

Recently Ive even started reverse gatekeeping in response to others, where ill just tell myself I cant or dont deserve to have anything special because I'm not, and only others can enjoy this. But thats why people making me ship content makes me so happy. Its dumb to get jealous over others selfshipping with a character I like. Its dumb to get upset over someone I know copying or taking heavy inspiration from one of my ideas. Its dumb to get possessive over someone else trying to befriend my new awesome friends or wife/wives. I rarely selfship anymore due to my reverse gatekeeping and instead serve the others who simp or enjoy content. I provide since I feel I cant take. It makes me happy and distracts me. But the moment someone else does something similar to what is my toxic coping mechanism for my toxic coping mechanism, it only hurts worse. Thats why sometimes, for example, I get a bit snappy when someone else provides gummybunny (that and also shipping jealousy sometimes). Thats why I get snappy when I make a friend someone else super cool and then another person comes in and wants to befriend them (No darken, this wasnt directed at you, its happened more than once with more than one person but I know how you tend to assume). I LOVE giving but I hate sharing, because all my life whenever I shared, I lost something.

Introduce a friend to a friend? They leave me behind for eachother. Let someone wear my fitbit because they wanted to feel "rich"? It got stolen. Give money to someone in a "rough spot" who promised to repay me somehow? Never saw them again. I was always so trusting and understanding, and I always made excuses for others. Always so naive and gullible. So much so, in fact, that in elementary I kept letting my bullies pretend to be my friends when they claimed they changed, and let them destroy any ounce of worth I had whatsoever. Things that make me happy I CHERISH because of all the things ive lost and all my experiences. Ive never been hit, not once, but the abuse all my life came emotionally and mentally, and I only recently realized through therapy. Now its hard to trust people in certain situations. Sorry for my probably hard to follow and melodramatic rant.

There are a looot of characters, and I definitely worry sometimes that it gets to be too much, but I think the IF is getting long enough for me to give enough-ish screentime to each character... though it takes me a while to cycle back to different side characters. I cant believe you remembered the cool ass girl in laser tag! :)

5. Yup, being a character driven IF, there will be a lot of romance (or friendship) beats / moments in the IF (which is already true now). What is your absolute all-time favorite idea you’ve ever had?

Starting with the hard questions already! This is hard to pin down, but I'd say the idea behind the worldbuilding between the Faefolk and Dragon races/species in AASOAF. There is a lot I'm proud of there, and every time I think about it, I get shivers! I just wish it was less spoiler heavy so I could talk about it, but I CANT T_T (i cry). A close second would have to be The Realm of Dreams!

Is there a question you’ve been asked in the past that really stands out to you, and you still think about sometimes?

About my writing, not really! To be fair, this is because I didn't start sharing my writing with a wider audience until very recently (read: the start of this year), and a lot of people IRL still don't know I write, so I don't think there's been a lot of opportunity for that.

What is your favorite part of being a writer? What parts could you take or leave?

My favorite part is definitely coming up with new ideas and writing pretty/poetic prose! I feel like that is where I get to flex my creative muscles the most, and it's really satisfying to come across something that fits into that part of the story just right. The part that I could leave is COPY EDITING, specifically punctuation. Commas are my great burden because sometimes they seem like they go in a spot, and then I come back to read it, and they make no sense there. Line editing, however, gets a happy little kiss on the head because I LOVE that.

What is your greatest motivation to write/create?

The freedom of play. It is one of the creative outlets that really feels accessible and safe to me, not to mention the possibilities of what I can create aren't bound to ANYTHING. It's a place where I have full agency. I can make or unmake it as many times as I want, twist it, turn it, bop it, you name it, I can do it! Conversely, I can also choose NOT to do it.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever read or been given as a writer?

"Write." It sounds largely unhelpful, but to me, this is the permission/encouragement/onus to take that thing in your hands and just do it. Leave your notions of what it should or has to be at the door and create. Make mistakes because there will be many, and when they come, reach out for help, give yourself grace, learn, be patient, and try again. Write, write, write!

What do you wish you knew when you were first starting out writing?

It's okay to write for fun. This sounds silly to say now, but when I first started out, I met a few people (IRL and online) who seemed unimpressed (putting it nicely) that this was my big "Why?" It was alienating and really made me question why I was putting so much effort into my works and made me wonder if I'd made a mistake by not monetizing it, etc. Every now and then, I still interact with people who are baffled/less than kind about that concept, but it doesn't bother me as much as it used to. I just wish that I could go back and give previous me a hug about it, though, because I remember it really negatively affected my confidence.

What is your favorite story you’ve written to completion? Link it if you’d like and can!

Out of the publicly available completed pieces, I'd say Pare (horror/gore, 18+, tumblr link) is my favorite! I wish I could say AASOAF, but it's not done yet T_T

What is your favorite out-of-the-box quote?

"Sit down and stay a while." I don't know if it can be attributed to anyone or where I first heard it, but there is something warm about it. It's a nice way to remember that it's okay to just be. You always have a seat at your own table type beat.

Which of your characters would you say has the most controversial mindset? Why do you say so, and how do you personally feel about their ideals?

OH MAN. This is really difficult for me, but if I had to choose one, it would be Wilkes. His circumstances are unique and pretty spoiler-heavy, so I won't really get into them, but the best way to put it is that he has seen so much of the forest that all he wants to do is look at the trees, no matter the cost. His type of fixation is quite volatile because while it can demonstrate care and love, it can very easily cross the boundary into smothering and the willing abandonment of the self. To me, that is what makes him so dangerous despite looking rather noble compared to someone like Fay, who is openly cruel, because this is someone who is voraciously hungry for something. But they don't know what that thing is.

If you, when you first started writing, met you now, what would younger you think?

I think she'd cry! I think she would have a hard time believing that someday she'll write her very own novels. And that people will read them. And people will make a special little place for her characters in their minds. Frankly, I think she'd be awestruck, touched, and saddened that we abandoned writing for a long time but then came back to it. It would be a very sentimental encounter, for sure!

THE FORGOTTEN EARTH GREEN LANTERN: CHARLIE MOTHERFUCKING VICKER!!!!!!!!!! NOBODY TALKS ABOUT CHARLIE. i love him he's such a bitch. he played hal in a tv adaptation of green lantern and aliens targeted him bc they thought he was the real GL and his brother died bc of it and charlie ended up getting a ring and the guardians sent him off the bumfuck nowhere space and charlie mopes around and goes "ewww aliens ewww these things look so weird ewww" bc he's such a fucking cunt and then through the power of doing his job as green lantern he realizes life is universal and beautiful UGH i want to draw a comic about charlie vicker being dragged kicking and screaming into becoming a #naturelover i'd call it where in the world is charlie vicker and nobody would buy it bc nobody fucking knows who charlie vicker is.

u know i dont think theres anything in hal fanart that bothers me i just get excited seeing him! with jason i feel like there's some people that are deeply abnormal about the robin characters in a gross way, and u can tell immediately by how they draw them. luckily i dont see this very often bc i use the block button liberally and i never go in jason's tags 👍

hey! if you wouldnt mind, could you share some more of your thoughts about narrachara? i found the tags you left about it really interesting

sure i love talking about my undertale thoughts!!! as im sure u saw in the tags im pretty neutral about narrachara so i guess ill tackle this in a semi organized way down below (uh tw for talking about grief i think)

i’ll start off with the things i like!! i think the argument that the narrator isn’t consistent with charas personality isn’t that strong given that we have One Scene where they’re actually talking and this is after they just watched everyone die including their father and brother most recently so. its not surprising they would speak coldly with a grin that serves as a motif for pain throughout undertale (asriel’s death, flowey, toriel’s death, sans just as a whole, undyne’s death, etc u get the point) and that alone probably cant characterize the way they are. so i do like the idea of the narrator giving chara some personality!! i personally like to imagine them as a funny quiet freak who just kind of stares at u. like this i drew this a little bit ago

i think the biggest reason i’m not too fond of narrachara is because very rarely someone coming back from the dead is done well. not that narrachara is them necessarily coming back from the dead, but it’s just kinda treated that way a lot,, i love it in cases like flowey and haruka kokonose as it’s a great metaphor for how trauma changes people, but when it’s done on the basis of “oh everyone misses them if they come back everything will be fixed :(“ its just. Not Great. that’s the exact reason flowey has issues with who he is!! flowey refuses to recognize himself as asriel because he knows that’s all anyone wants of him. they want him to be “asriel” before the trauma. guaranteed, that’s the reason he doesn’t bother revealing himself to his parents anymore. he doesn’t want to break their hearts because he feels his past self is dead. i see so many aus where “asriel” comes back and he acts as if he didn’t go through all that trauma and it’s like. that was. the entire point of his character. he can’t be who he was before chara’s death. (i think askfallenroyalty tackles that issue extremely well everyone should read it)

narrachara is widely accepted as canon and it kinda builds up chara as this character that isn’t very apparent or concrete in the actual game,, they speak in one scene and everything else has to be inferred. that’s probably why it’s such an easy theory to grab onto, chara’s personality isn’t very easy to figure out… i really like the little details, like them speaking in a way that doesn’t fit a kid with huge words and calling themself a demon and how they mostly speak in kanji in the japanese translation and that they like chocolate and flowers… the character i feel points the most towards chara’s personality is asgore. toriel and asriel are extremely similar in the way that they grieve and view themselves, and based off what we know about asgore and chara, they were likely also extremely similar. the two halves of the dreemurr family kinda touch on what’s worth sacrificing a life for and i think it’s really interesting

i think flowey has issues with asgore for the same reason he has issues with chara, even if he wants to pretend that they’re the only person that could understand him. asgore loves his family and his people, so much that he’s willing to kill for them. he’s willing to put himself and others at risk for the hope of his people, and chara acts in a similar way. asgore and chara both had this immense pressure on them to provide hope for everyone. chara is willing to die for their family and to get revenge on humans, just like asgore. toriel and asriel, on the other hand, never want to lose anyone. nothing is worth a loved one dying. but, chara likely viewed themself as some kind of variable rather than a person who was loved. everyone in the dreemurr family takes on this responsibility to save everyone and bring hope to everyone, but no one should have to shoulder that kind of pressure. toriel and asriel can’t keep their loved ones with them forever to keep them safe, just as asgore and chara can’t keep everyone happy with their sacrifices. it’s an impossible task for them all to believe they can save everyone.

i think if narrachara is done in a Specific Way it can handle their character well, though!! my personal take on narrachara is that they “woke up” and figured this is just How It Is now. they failed, so they just have to deal with the consequences. throughout the no mercy and pacifist routes they seem to come to some kind of conclusion built on their guilt and feelings towards their family. i always thought it was interesting how in the dreemurr fights all the jokey items are suddenly serious, like butts pie just becoming pie. i really don’t think they thought their death would have that big of an impact. narrachara should give some closure to chara and asriel… chara needs to know how much they meant to their family and asriel needs to know that it’s okay to say goodbye and let go.

kinda going off on a tangent here but i think about flowey’s “see you later, chara” a lot,, i like to think of it as more metaphorical than literal as it’s often taken as… chara is the catalyst of everything that happened in the game, and him saying see you later is like him accepting that it’s over. they’re gone, and that’s okay. it’s his last goodbye to his sibling at their grave. i’m sure deltarune will clear up the fuzzy details about the connection between the player and protagonist and narrator but For Now i just wanna think about it as flowey being able to finally let go

so Basically i think narrachara is good if it’s able to serve the themes of the game if that makes sense?? of course anyone can do what they want with narrachara!! i just feel very strongly about it cuz of my Character Analysis Brain where everything needs to be done for a reason,, it’s very interesting to see how everyone reacts differently to the things in undertale based on their own experiences. i initially wrote like wayyyy more than this and then somehow it all got Deleted which sucks cuz it misses out on a lot of points i made BUT!! its fine i got the general message across i think… i just really like how undertale handles grief as i’ve seen lots of things not handle it well at all while the dreemurrs feel the most realistic to me. dreemurr family my beloved <3 thank u for this ask i really wish tumblr hadn’t eaten most of the things i said 😔

Finally... a difference between Trunks and Bulla that maintains equal respect for their characters while still establishing their different paths...

Trunks literally just follows the rules. I'm not even kidding. It's easier than coming up with new shit. The rules seem to matter a lot to him when hes young, the only explicit example I can recall is in the second broly movie where hes REALLY shocked and freaked out that Broly isnt "following the rules." But I remember seeing that value from him a few times. I think it's becasue when Vegeta is training him he doesnt know how to explain Warrior's Code to a child so he just says that it's "the rules." And Trunks just really takes to that version. Despite everything about his nurture hes kind of a rule-follower by nature. He doesnt really want to kick up a storm and hes easily embarrassed.

And Bulla is NOT THAT. Shes on some ultra-ego shit FOR SURE. She could be an incredible warrior if she wanted to but she becomes an incredible software expert instead. Fucking revolutionary ideas from her because she cant be fucked to do the boring shit so she makes shit up. Meanwhile Trunks starts a sword-training dojo with his BFF becasue of course he does

i think youre right about this getting out of hand and youre valid in your suspicion of homophobic undertones. there are some things in canon that could be read certain ways if you wanted to, but the motive behind reading them that way/wanting to read them that way should be examined if its going to be publicly platformed like this. while i admit that i think some people are making interesting cases, i highly doubt a lot of this was the duffer bothers true vision and there is also the theme of making speculations about things that are not coming from anything explicit in canon. Instead there is lots of things that are just added from being neck deep in theories of rape and pedophilia throughout the show. for example going as far as to say vecna is chemically castrated because he doesn't appear to have genitalia. the reality is it was just a logical way to censor his nudity as a male bodied monster. the deep dedication to "proving" a "queer coded character" is a gay pedophile and rapist is starting to look weird for me too.

I've been really burnt out and frankly kinda saddened at how this particular shit took over the Henry side of the fandom and the fact it feels like I can no longer go into Henry's tag (the only one I actually visit sometimes) without these types of posts being the majority and the top take and the influence its having on the fandom and how people are viewing the character which due to the issues with separating fiction and reality this fandom is documented to have, is concerning for fans of him like me and possibly even for Jamie, who has defended Vecna himself. Quick edit: This is also not to say that all these types of posts and theories are being created with homophobic intentions per say but they’re still weird as hell and none the less this doesn’t mean people aren't going to spread, create and consume them who may have homophobic intentions and as if they cant and wont be feeling validating toward people with homophobic views. And while I'm here moaning it also bothers me, because even when the theories do talk a little about people like Brenner and even Virginia and sometimes explicitly label the two of them as Henry's abusers --- recently takes are even directly claiming them as people who have literally raped Henry but these supposed/theoretical actions toward Henry are not being as brutally examined or viciously condemned as Henry's theoretical crimes are? I'm gonna have trouble explaining this right I think so I hope this makes sense but like? The whole point feels to be to demonize Henry in particular and it feels a little like SOME OF IT is done in retaliation toward his fans for making posts that examine him and show him in a more sympathetic light. Like, the whole idea that Henry was really a rape victim -- that his mother raped him as a little boy and that he was then abducted by a man who continued to rape him all his life; and that being a thing because it somehow explains how deeply evil he is, since he decided to do something violating to someone else that has similar connotations as rape?? Not how evil the people who did that to him are, thats like an afterthought. Even though like, if thats what these people actually think then Henry spent his entire life being literally raped. Like not "metaphorical" rape, not something that could resemble or draw similar feelings of violation as rape, but like actual full on real rape. Like according to these theories this even being from his own mother and then the man who effectively kidded napped him. So the imagined "literal" rape of Henry is sort of minimized in favour of demonizing and condemning Henry for the "metaphorical" rape he supposedly committed, which gives it the undertone of his LITERAL rape being somehow "deserved" because of something - not even entirely the same - he did so much later in life. Hell, not just LATER in life but in his fucking “”death”” and “”rebirth”” as a raged-fueled trauma monster.

Because I also have to point out like this "metaphorical rape" Vecna has committed is something Henry only committed AS VECNA, when he was transformed into a pitiless supernatural force of sadness and anger, and something that is unfortunately curse/doomed to repeat and project moments of his own trauma and suffering onto his "victims" due to this anger and desire for revenge on those who harmed and rejected his human self. Which is also like.... Wheres the p*dophile thing coming from when the "metaphorical rape" is, in fact, metaphorical, not literal, and HUMAN Henry didn't do shit to rape or have any type of interactions, inappropriate or otherwise, with young boys in ANY way? Henry was apparently spending his time being literally raped according to these wild ass headcanons?? Not doing the raping. And therefore also why is he a GAY p*dophile exclusively when Vecna's "victims" are equally female? Like I said it being bitchy and sarcastic in another post but being for real: If Henry's victims are some sick pyschosexual reflection of his sexuality then he can't be gay because he doesn't discriminate against women in any way.

The only significant interaction human Henry had with a child was when he went just a little too hard to save her from the life of oppression and cruelty that he had lived. Sure, it backfired tragically but his intentions were obviously benevolent and that shows he wasn't always a monster, let alone some kind of depraved sexual deviant. (Unless these people are making up OCs for Henry to have raped and abused before he became Vecna and you know what I wouldn't put that past them after all this either.) ANYWAY, seriously if Vecna did spend his whole life getting raped, was chemically castrated for being gay (or whatever, not sure if thats been mentioned/headcanoned to support him being gay or support him being a p*do since it goes either way, since gay/queer men were historically treated AS sexual deviants and pedophiles so their 'punishments' were the same, homophobia is one hell of a drug.) and he basically “died” trying desperately to escape this abuse and has vowed divine biblical vengeance on the whole world as a result, that's only gonna have me loving and supporting him even more. I mean holy shit It might even make me HOPE he wins and not a damn single thing he's done could make me feel different. If he wants to destroy the world because of all that I can’t fault him! I fucking think he should! As a treat!

But yeah I fully agree with you anon and AGAIN thank you. Don't mind my emotional rantings! I just cant see a lot of that other stuff as the Duffers actual intentions with who/what Vecna is and represents.

i finally got to the halfway point of code veronica X and GODDDD i fucking knew they were gonna do this goddamn shit w/ steve and claire. i knew from the goddamn beginning even if i didnt want to admoit it...... residetn evil just cant be normal w/ a girl being paired w/ a guy. they just fucking cant

i understand that this is seen more among the older games (ashley + leon from re4 as well) and i cant speak for the og re3 nemesis but the way they wrote carlos and jill? its just.... why make these male characters say such bizarre and degrading and just ? nasty comments towards the female protag? do you really expecvt us to root for them? i just dont fcuking undeerstand, and this occurs in a remake too! they didnt bother to maybe just maaaybe take that bulllshit out. because jill's uncomfortable. IM uncomfortable. its just. godddd who the fuck caaaares STOP THIS TROPE

maybe its thr lesbian in me popping out maybe its the aromantic in me popping out WHO KNOWS all i know is that. resident evil makes me very upset sometimes dflkgnjg i love the games i love the characters (esp the girls big surprise i know) but jesus christ. somethings i just can't ignore. and this is cerrtainly one of them. a girl just can't exist out of a guy according to capcom. and that sort of idea is suuuper evident in how they portray and include their women. you could have a girl protag (re3, recv etc) but theres always a 99% chance theres gonna be a man tagging along + continually saving their asses and theres almost alwaysa an even HIGHER chance that theyre meant to be seen as a romantic interest! and its exhausting@!!!!!

long story short . i get im not resident evil's target audience . but im still gonna be pissed and annoyed . the girls deserve better .

im def gonna have to go more in depth abt resident evil and their writing of relationships (or lack thereof) some other time but just for now. the best written ones are claire + sherry and mia + ethan goodbye

magne hits on dabi multiple times in canon and his reactions range from completely oblivious and confused to annoyed at being bothered. he has absolutely no idea how to flirt, let alone how to karma sutra it up for hours and manhandle another person. he literally cant fight without his quirk we've never even seen him so much as push another character because his body is so physically weak. he's chronically ill and his body is so broken and fragile he can barely keep himself up most of the time. he gets motion sickness in cars and winded going up stairs. he has a sensitive stomach and is severely malnourished. he cant self regulate his own body temp. he is a *mess*

im about to ramble and expose some weakpoints on the internet so heres a cut !!! im gonna talk about the three that are in the forefront of my mind at the moment !! maybe this will change if you ask me in a months time,,, maybe not !!! mwah thank you for sending me asks sweetie

lots of history with this girl; soo i found out about her during my first mugen phase ? so like 11-13ish,, there was a genre of character that was modeled to play like smash bros characters, and in looking those up, i found one of this weird woman... hong meiling was her name ? she was related to this weird frog girl whose hat was evil and maybe the mcdonalds song girl ? whatever the case i needed to download her. and i couldnt because the download was down. this sent me uo the wall for several years and implanted her name into my brain,, up until i got into touhou proper thanks to you actually !!

so now im learning about the lore and the characters, and turns out theres more to this meiling than being elusive and pretty !!! so this gloomy, scary place behind one of the touhou worlds most significant battles is guarded by this friendly, easygoing redhead ? and shes fiercely loyal and protective of the mansion as well as gensoukyou, despite being employed by people who almost ate the world right up ? thats so wonderful !! shes so cool !!! and she takes care of flowers, and canonically doesnt like dodging bullets and tries catching them instead, and no one has any idea of what she is...!!!! theres so much to her !!! but most of all, the absolute tragedy of some of her mansionmates getting boatloads of development and lore, while shes,, basically in the same place she started in ? even flan did ! but meiling still gets depicted as just lazying about, despite that trait of hers being in favour of working in the scarlet devil mansion, which people fear and dont visit ? or rather used to... so she should have evolved along with it,, so that sadness also makes me even more attached to her in a way !!

i know shes not the most mistreated character in touhou or anything, far from it since shes a th6 girl and those get Everything and everyone sick of them but... idk !! id love to see more of her shine someday ouo

like shes drenched, positively oozing with lore and content, and its all so utterly relevant and unique that i cant possibly talk about any of it because i cant be bothered to spoiler tag this,, but like,, reading between the lines of the fiction and uncovering lil things about her and what shes like was the most fun ive had during my dngnrnpa phase, to the point that,, here she is still !! at the tippy top !! and because of things youre intimately familiar with russell, you probably know shes probably gonna stay !! im very sentimental like that

and it wasnt even just lore either, her design kind of instantly drew me to her back when i was part of the original animes speculation circle and,, wow suddenly my sonas attire seems a little um,, familiar doesnt it : ...i promise i had other inspiations for ir too óuo;

finally this girl !! much like is the theme here, some lore to my meeting this one !!! this one predates even meiling, since i think i was 9 or 10,, see there was a broadcast channel here called animax, and its responsible for a lot of my taste even nowadays,, from the name you can guess it broadcast all sorts of dubbed anime all day long, most of which i absolutely should not have been watching at that age, like hellsing and gantz oops... well there was this other one which until like 4 years ago i only had the faintest recollection of,, i think there were demons in it or something,, mostly i remember being infatuated by the blonde girl

well 2018 comes around and the memory of this lady shoots straight into my brain in the middle of a call with you russell, which you might remember ! i describe to you what it looks like and tell you that i think a guy kills her and she has him help kill bad guys or else hell kill him right back ? and you, through intense googling, eventually are able to tell me it was called lunar legend tsukihime. woag ! lore unlocked

i wiki crawl for a while out of curiosity and find out that she has a fighting game that kinda rules, and that everyone hates the anime and you should read the visual novel instead and,, hey were making a visual novel at some point huh russell ? maybe i should study up on this tsukihime thing,, apparently its pretty influential,, and

obviously arcueid is ridiculously charming and fun, and every second with her is a mildly exciting, mildly creepy (fun way) delight, and its hard not to absolutely love her for that alone !! but also like,, much like the love for meiling started like a new phase in my life, arcueid did the same thing, in a very wonderful way ? a phase where were both really into this thing and talking about it so often and making so many new ideas about it together,, were playing higurashi currently and it feels like an extension of this, of her, and like,, its so special
