i totally get how season 5 isn't everyone's cup of tea and that's totally fair and i understand!! however. i just can't relate because this is just so balls to the walls crazy that i am so endlessly entertained
lila stole all of the agreste lore from nathalie and also has been wearing a wig this entire time. felix snapped the entirety of earth away. chloe became the fucking mayor and then had an emotional breakdown sobbing alone when she lost it. kagami and felix having a random cringe (/positive) whirlwind romance like the two sheltered awkward teens they are. adrien and marinette kissing on the steps of a private jet in a dramatic emotional moment. ADRIEN had the coveted chat blanc nightmare in a sandboy adjacent akuma. adrien just is Cursed with endless nightmares now (and rose and juleka????) and lives in a sensory deprivation chamber. marinette knows all the senti lore now and was told via the most theater-kid interpretive perfomance art hallucination ever?????????
and i am LIVING for all of it. i am SO ENTERTAINED.

Robin chose Steve. Robin made the conscious and deliberate decision that she could and would trust Steve. She already liked him! She had fun working and bantering with him! They were already on their way to being weird little bffs and the torture just expedited the process. Steve chose Robin just the same! He thinks she's fun and cool and likes her so much! He chose to be honest and open with her too, putting himself out there.
Even though their interests on the surface level don't match why wouldn't they share them? Steve clearly caves when Robin wants to watch a movie he doesn't think he'll like, Robin can watch a March madness game or five.
Stop trying to take away their bond oh my god people can be close to more than one person!!! Their best friend doesn't have to be dismissive or mean or whatever in order for a romance to be special to them!

Not that it really matters but the thing about the Darry Trial™ in AGoT that I think so many people get wrong is that Sansa was protecting Arya when she said she didn't remember what happened by the Trident. Lets say Sansa told the truth in that scene; she'd necessarily have to include that Arya hit Joffrey with a broomstick, because he was cutting Mycah's cheek for hitting Arya, and that's what led to the fight that had Nymeria biting Joff. But if Sansa said this then Arya would be wrongly seen as the guilty party.
Like, these people didn't care that Mycah was killed, so why would this room full of nobles and mostly Lannister knights care that Joffrey cut him on the cheek? They'd most likely view the situation as their Crown Prince chastising an impudent peasant for hitting highborn Lady Arya Stark. So Arya attacking her "defender" over this could be seen as an unjust (or even an irrational/crazed) assault on the future king. Don't get me wrong, I think Arya was totally right to beat Joff, just like Dunk was right to beat Aerion for the same reason, but their classist and sexist nobility isn't going to view the situation like we do.
And as we learn later, the punishment for striking a royal is to lose the hand that struck them. Do I think Robert would've cut Arya's hand off? No, of course not, but I'm sure that Sansa thought her sister would be punished in some way if she confirmed that Arya had hit a royal. We don't actually learn that Robert thinks the whole affair is no big deal until after Sansa has spoken and with further context we know that Sansa is frightened by Robert... so ya'know.

i guess im doing more of these.
meet the female scout! she's the daughter of a crime family from los angeles. speaks with a bit of a valley girl accent(of course), and has a keen interest in fashion and money. luckily for her, the gravel wars have a lot of the latter. not so much of the former.
the female scout is similar to the scout in that she's not so much a fighter as much as she is a very good athlete. the perks of coming from a rich background means that she has a wide array of proficiencies, from sprinting to croquet(her favourite game), she's perfect for her role as a scout on her team.
before her time as a mercenary on RED, the family which the female scout is from took a favour from Saxton Hale, helping them gain more power in Los Angeles by giving them firearms. Saxton thought that they were going to use them to take more control by force, but it turns out that they just sold the guns for money. He didn't mind though, seeing as how they owed him and he was going to get his money back one way or another.
And he did come back eventually, looking for payment for the loans. Not wanting to actually pay him back, the family gave them their only daughter, soon to be known as the female scout, as an asset to the company.
Saxton, having no need for her, took her in anyway and gave her off to Miss Pauling for the Gravel Wars instead. The female scout has been fighting ever since.
the female scout wasn't exactly told why she was going to the war, other than she needed to "prove herself to be a worthy member of the family" and to take her first steps into the adult world.
well, if the adult world consisted of having piss thrown at them and people running around naked and covered in honey, then she was more than prepared by the end of her first week. however, despite the female scout's more snobbish personality, she has a bit of a strange way of viewing the world.
coming from high crime, she's not unfamiliar to the more dubious surgical practices of the medic and is only surprised that he actually puts his patients back together instead of burying somewhere remote. blood and guts is all game as long as it doesn't stain her clothes. good thing everyone wears red.

Hello! long time silent fan here 💝
i came across an older post referring to you leaving the Guns Blazing project... i did back that kickstarter, and now im kinda worried about just who i gave my money to :/
are you able to share any details about why you left, or if theres anything i should know about the creators? it's too late for me to not give them money, but id like to know before i recommend the game to anyone
the main issue shared in the post you reference is pretty much it: a prominent ttrpg award was given to an active duty military strategist. a lot of people in the community, myself included, were obviously horrified by this and many spoke up about what kind of grotesque and deeply unjust message this sends about what we're allowing (more than allowing, CELEBRATING????) in the space; bafflingly, a bunch of other people in the community all crowded around to congratulate and asspat and defend and gas up this grinning servant of the imperial american death machine. it was horrifying to see that the dev of guns blazing, which the entire time it was funding had constantly and loudly advertised itself as a "decolonial" and "anti-imperialist" game, was one of the people celebrating his win.
when i confronted the dev one-on-one about this, i was told "the man's a personal friend who's helped me out in the past and helped out other marginalized people in the space." that is not a sufficient excuse for me when the issue is what this man was doing to marginalized people, FOR MONEY, FOR HIS CAREER, outside of the space. (it's murder. what a military strategist does is facilitate murder as needed by the state.) u cannot buy back lives you've destroyed globally by getting other poc jobs in roleplaying games or whatever the fuck.
i couldn't handle this. i'm not going to judge other artists who stayed in — i don't know if everyone even saw, the turmoil over the award was something that from what i saw was mostly contained to twitter and the dev kept his head down about it aside from his initial congratulations. there was a moment before i confronted the dev where honestly i thought to myself "maybe i can just pretend i didn't see it," but i knew in my heart that wasn't true and i wouldn't be able to be proud of myself if i did that. so that's why i pulled out.
my tone is heated here bc obviously this is a really appalling subject — it's the reason my commerical work contracts have a fucking ethics clause in them now, lmao — but at the same time i'm honestly not interested in like, "calling out" the dev over this. he let me leave the project immediately and without any issues, and i haven't kept up with anything he's doing since this incident. maybe he's changed his mind or like, one would hope all of the absolute horror we're constantly submerged in from witnessing the us government's eager support of the genocide in palestine has opened his eyes to No, Agents Of The Military Are Not Our Fucking Friends, Actually. i don't know. i don't care to go looking to find out. my interest is not in saying "i think this dev is a bad person and everyone should be wary of them!!!!", it's just to say "this dev did something that was so shocking to me and so misaligned from my own morals that i had to distance myself immediately." i don't know how far that reflects on anything else he believes or does, i just know it was a dealbreaker for me personally. the story ends there for me, and other people will have to make their own judgements based on what they observe now.
