Fascinated by Ashton choosing to introduce themself as "Ashton of the Hishari" but also saying they wanted to mourn something they didn't know they'd lost. I mean, it makes as much sense as anything - it's not like Greymoore holds any meaning for him, probably much less so now that he does not think of himself as one of the Nobodies any more, but rather one of Bells Hells. It is an interesting choice though to claim Hishari. They are the ones who gave them that primordial essence that they are trying to tap into; but they also did this to a child who could not possibly have been able to agree to this with a full understanding of what would happen (if, to be fair, it was deliberate and not a complete accident, but that doesn't paint them in a terribly great light either).

It fits very well with what Jirana tells him though: good things were gained, good things come out of the bad, and it's more important to focus on what he has than what he lost. But I wonder what the more blunt (and possibly more aware of the situation) Evontra'vir is going to say.

(Evontra'vir being a Gau Drashari is also a really interesting twist because the Gau Drashari of Domunas were very specifically focused on keeping the titans sealed. What exactly did Efterin get? Was it actually a blessing of Evontra'vir, or was it a relic from the Shattered Teeth he claimed was that but absolutely wasn't? How did the Gau Drashari - the original ones - feel about sending the Primordials across the planes, since it was the only option but their role had been to guard what was sealed, not to destroy or eliminate it?)

Odd question, but since they're both dogs and I imagine smell is important to them, what do Machete and Vasco smell like?

Smells are indeed important to them. I think their sense of smell is definitely more keen than ours but not nearly as extreme as that of real dogs. It would be kind of world/society/behavior breaking if one of their senses was that much above what we as humans can even imagine.

Fur absorbs smells more efficiently than skin, so the environment each person spends most of their time in affects the way they smell (the same way your clothes tend to hold scents from the places you've recently been to).

Machete tends to smell mainly of frankincense, the primary ingredient of the sacred incense burned during worship. Smells are hard to describe but to me frankincense smells sweet, smoky, earthy, citrusy, piney, resinous and woody. Evokes the feeling of sanctity. There's also traces of ink, paper and old books. If he had been treated recently and you got really close and knew to look for it, you might be able to detect the cuts where he was bled.

Vasco uses perfumes skillfully, his favorites contain iris root and damask rose. The mellow scent of his high quality soaps often lingers for quite a while as well. If he's been outdoors, there's a more noticeable hint of leather, as well as moisture, earth, greenery, animals and various other nature smells. Since he's characterized by his vitality, I can't escape the feeling that if you were to put your nose on him, he'd smell like a warm, healthy, living thing even more strongly than people usually do, even if you didn't consciously realize it.

We literally still don't know anything about Neuvillette and they want me to believe our time in Fontaine ended???? HELL NO.

If Scaramouche had a whole archon quest about him, with all of his story from start to finish, they HAVE TO do the same thing with the fucking SOVEREIGN HYDRO DRAGON.

When and where was he born? Did he just spawn somewhere in Fontaine, with a human adult body and full dressed, or was he once a kid as well?

Did he saw the Khaenri'ah disaster? Does he know something about it? He said he never saw our sibling so it could mean he wasn't around at the time our twin and Dain traveled through Teyvat.

Is the big ass snake-looking skeleton (Elynas) in the middle of Fontaine, where all the Melusines are originated and (some of them) live in, the old Hydro Dragon? Or is it just another beast from the Abyss? If it's not the past Hydro Dragon, why does Neuvillette have such a special bond with the Melusines?

Is he really the "Visitor" Pahsiv mentioned? The one who would be affected by the purple pollution in the water and in the roots of the willow? (If I remember correctly. But it could be just because, you know, he drinks water lol)

Does he have all of his memories back now? Are they fully restored? And what exactly are these memories? Is the old Hydro Dragon literally his past life?

I really hope we'll get another quest about him but I fear Hoyo won't tell us much and will keep all the details about Sovereign Dragons for the future, maybe even for the end :(

BUT. AT LEAST. I hope we won't get any more "human" Sovereign, I hope Neuvillette will still be the exception. It would be predictable and kinda boring if there were other dragons born with a human body

i'm endlessly curious-- if it isn't a spoiler, how would time's and sky's relationship develop? i feel like there's a lot of potential from their starting place, and anything could happen, whether that be them becoming friends, near-enemies, or barely more than acquaintances by the end

Ohoho this is definitely spoilers. Or. It has potential to be spoilers. I will answer this question as vaguely as possible. (Under the cut because long)

Out of all of the Cryptids in my au, I have the best understanding of Sky (he’s my little guy). When building out the relationships between characters, it’s easiest for me to start with “what’s their dynamic with Sky?” and then work from there. Time and Sky’s relationship was one of the first things I came up with and really what made me actually want to tell stories with this au rather than just draw silly little pictures.

Time and Sky’s relationship changes over the course of two major story arcs, one which I call “Grounded” and the other I call “Sky’s Awakening.” When they first meet, they’re scared of each other. Like. They’re both convinced that the other is going to kill them. They never talk, they avoid each other. Whenever Time’s around, Sky draws his wings in close to his back and doesn’t blink, muscles tense like he’s ready for a fight. Time never looks away from Sky, worried that the Godkiller will strike him if he lets his guard down.

…. It’s…. Very tense. For a very long time. And the others notice! Someone as open and kind as Sky acting so coldly around Time?? Red flag. Someone as strong and untouchable as Time acting so hesitant around Sky?? Red flag.

But over the course of their time together, certain things happen that force them to grow closer. To the others, it’s night and day. Suddenly, they realize they have more in common than they thought. Suddenly, they realize that they can lean on each other, that the other means them no harm. It’s a slow development at first, but quickly speeds up. Their trust in each other grows exponentially every day (after Grounded), until the end of Sky’s Awakening.

They depend on each other. The God and the Godkiller.

(And then I ruin it all because I’ve decided to extend the story past the end of their adventure together. And epilogue of sorts. But not necessarily a happy one. But they’ll be fine. Probably).

I do have some not so great old comics that I posted so long ago that kind of take place at the turning point for them. This was before I had their designs figured out (I say as if I’m not constantly changing them) so please excuse the inconsistencies.

WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH KAEYA AND VENTI?? Like, of all the relationships I want explored in genshin theirs is the most fascinating to me. Do they know who the other is in relation to their origins? Are they both in the dark? Does one know and the other doesn’t? What are their real feelings towards the other person, not just the expressed ones based around their personas? Why was Kaeya left in Mondstadt specifically and does Venti have any thoughts on the matter? Are we gonna get a big reveal scene where Venti shows himself as Barbatos and Kaeya is like ‘AYO WHAT THE FUCK’? Are we gonna get one where it’s vice-versa and Venti loses it onscreen? 

Does Kaeya know that Venti is Barbatos and is friendly with him regardless? Or is it to get more info on the Archon? Or is it to perhaps ingratiate himself to Venti in hopes of not fucking dying like literally almost everyone else? Is he completely unaware and if Venti admits his identity to Kaeya that will be yet another instance where Kaeya’s trust has been broken by someone close to him? Or will he lash out at Venti because it is heavily implied that the Abyss Order/Fatui/tbh everybody related to Khaenri’ah in some way hates Barbatos in particular for some reason? Or will he just go on as normal in hopes that Venti doesn’t recognize Kaeya as Khaenri’an? Or will he have a fucking panic attack immediately because bro I would too if one of the people who killed-or-worsed literally my entire nation just showed up and oh no he was my fucking drinking buddy? 

Does Venti know that Kaeya is an Alberich and simply not care? Or is he pitiful of the man whose freedom was restricted at a very young age? Or does he feel intense guilt stemming from whatever the fuck he did in Khaenri’ah because SERIOUSLY WHY DO KHAENRI’AH-RELATED GROUPS SEEM TO HATE BARBATOS IN PARTICULAR? Or is he perhaps afraid of what Kaeya might do to his nation and hopes to get as close to Kaeya as he can to prevent anything from happening? Did Venti always know that Kaeya was there even during his sleep? Did he wake up and wander into the city and suddenly BOOM, DESCENDENT OF THE ABYSS ORDER IS YOUR CAVALRY CAPTAIN AND YOU CANNOT DO SHIT ABOUT IT? Does Venti not know that Kaeya is an Alberich/Khaenri’an and are we going to get a big reveal wherein Venti will once again be placed in a position where he might have to compromise his identity in order to protect the greater good? Or will he try to kill Kaeya because honestly if I took part in the mass-destruction of an entire civilization I would assume that if somebody reveals themself as a part of that civilization that they’re here for revenge? Or will he treat it like it’s no big deal because he already knew/doesn’t care because Kaeya has made it clear that he’s loyal to Mondstadt? Or will he collapse into a big puddle of guilt and beg forgiveness for everything that’s happened because, when you really think about it, none of Kaeya’s suffering would have ever occurred if Celestia hadn’t nuked Khaenri’ah? Even outside of the other bullshit, Kaeya’s freedom was restricted at a very young age due to the actions of Celestia which Venti played a direct part in. Does Venti feel guilty for this or like he’s wound up betraying his own value? Does KAEYA feel that way? 

THEY DO NOT HAVE VOICELINES ABOUT EACH OTHER! Kaeya and Venti get them for such a menagerie of Mondstadt characters (including ones they never even interact with) that the fact they don’t have them for each other drives me insane. That HAS to be intentional, why the fuck do y’all not talk about each other when you should probably have THE MOST AMOUNT OF THINGS TO SAY ABOUT EACH OTHER?! They are making me crazy. LET THEM INTERACT AND BE HONEST WITH EACH OTHER! WHERE ARE THE FICS WHERE THEY REVEAL THEIR IDENTITIES/LITERALLY ANYTHING RELATED TO THEIR HIDDEN IDENTITIES HAPPEN AND THE OTHER REACTS TO IT?? I'm so sorry but I really don't have any more ideas for the trollhunters AU 😭 I am SO flattered you guys like it so much and happy to have inspired you guys, but honestly I feel so bad 'cause I only really posted it because I didn't think I'd make more, if any content for the AU. It was just sitting in my folders collecting dust for like 9 months, and aside from the one recent comic I did for the funny scenario, I don't really see myself making more content for the Trollhunter's AU 😭😭😭Especially not lore stuff.

I feel REALLY bad that the AU got pushed to the back-burner, I didn't expect so many of you guys to like it so much.

BUT I'm very happy to let you guys take what ideas I had and run with it! I'm sorry I don't think I can contribute more to the AU other than what I've already posted. Maybe I'll revisit it at some point, who knows?
