A bunch o' WIPs and progress pictures from some of the bigger things I’m currently working on :)

I’m already 12 hours into this over ambitious Pharma painting and I don’t even think I’m halfway done. I started this in late October and I’m taking a bit of a break from it to learn how to paint metal and just get back in the groove of painting things.

MS paint seeker thing I started in the time period where i lost access to photoshop and before i got clip studio (August lol). So far, this has been so FUN to work on and experiment with funky bright colors

Cynthia didn’t want to talk about why she bailed on the play. She’s her fathers daughter, she grew up with basically four older brothers, feelings are not something she talks about, they’re not something anybody is supposed to know except for herself. As soon as she sees the pink ladies at her door, she goes to shut them down. She’s supposed to be alone, these are just some girls anyway, they don’t care about her.

Except they do. They push themselves inside despite her protests. That’s new. No one has ever pushed so hard to be there for her. But they are, and they’re listening. She said she doesn’t wanna talk, they said okay! They said let’s just chill and watch TV and be fucking happy for once.

That’s when Cynthia realizes she finally has friends.

They’re not the girls in her class who bullied her for grass stained skirts, they’re not the boys who- despite growing up together- disregard her constantly, they’re not her father offering her a beer when he doesn’t know what to say, and they’re not just the girl gang of Rydell. They’re friends. They notice her, they hear her, they want to be there for her.

Cynthia doesn’t talk about her feelings, but she knows she has people to lean on. That’s all she’s ever wanted anyway.

xiao is definitely a gamer, he already has the hair. back before he met you his internet addiction was absolutely crippling. probably a discord mod for some games and other ... mmm... lewd stuff, but he isn’t one of those creepy ones. actually the one some may hate cuz he's too strict + is online most of the time. if any of these online moots knew you they’d be so grateful for pulling him off his keyboard. 

aether and lumine had Instagram accounts made for them since they were children because a) they’re pretty b) they’re pretty twins and they pretty much took over it when they were 13 or something. (I actually hate it when parents do this because ew your child’s face is not something you should post about in a public setting). they’re those ulzzang models you see and both have around 500k followers. one day they wake up and check their followers and aether starts parading around how he has 501, 009 and lumine gets mad. next lumine smugly slips in that she has 501, 010. it goes on.

childe starts fights on twitter and laughs at their stupidity. does ugly duets on tiktok for the memes and also cuz people like seeing handsome men doing ugly stuff. his tiktok page is full of memes.

venti has an absurd following on his tiktok and yt page for posting covers and original songs. is the victim of childe’s tiktok stupidity. he liked it at first but there’s only so much an artist can take when someone mocks their art. ten seconds away from making a callout post on twitter dot com abt childe

thoma has a decent Instagram following abt his homemade meals. no one knows how he looks like or how he actually works for the kamisato family. pretty low-key foodgrammer, around 20k followers bet

itto makes those stupid tiktoks like eating cinnamon and those life-threatening trends. has a lot of followers, 40k probs, but his comments are just people dissing him and telling him to stop being a bad influence to children on tiktok. i agree. he should take it down.

Me seeing that we’re getting 141 as a new fire crew in weewoo world and my brain immediately thinks about psalm 141 and sonnet 141 (Shakespeare)

Bearing in mind the fact that 911 loves to play on religious theming and has been know to play into some Shakespearean themes before as well, I think it’s v era much worth paying note to both the palm and the sonnet!

Sonnet 141 is about the conflict of senses and desire - the pain of desire and love is equally soothing.

In faith, I do not love thee with mine eyes,

For they in thee a thousand errors note;

But ’tis my heart that loves what they despise,

Who, in despite of view, is pleas’d to dote;

Nor are mine ears with thy tongue’s tune delighted;

Nor tender feeling, to base touches prone,

Part of the sonnet hints at the ladies unfaithfulness and at her being displeasing sexually and that should be enough for him to leave, but his heart hasn’t caught up with (essentially) his brain!

It’s one of the dark lady sonnets Shakespeare wrote which was the sequence of sonnets that followed the fair youth sonnets sequence.

There is thought among Shakespeare scholars that the dark lady sonnets, because they display a distaste for women, are meant as a counterpoint and juxtaposition to the fair youth sonnets which are homoerotic in their nature and therefore this sonnet is meant to play into the idea of love and desire overcoming sense and societal expectations!!

Psalm 141 to all intents and purposes plays to a similar theme, albeit one of asking god to protect one from enemies but also from the temptation to sin - to resist the enticements of the wicked.

Can’t wait to see if these themes play out in anyway across this season
