that manga fucking rules so much i didnt even care the handwriting made me slowdown reading what the kanji was and i stared at it 15 minutes per character. i messed up my sleep schedule by reading this but its worth it theyre uploading it gradually but its about 14 out of 89 pages so im looking forward to the rest hehe

im too lazy to typeset so i will describe it instead~ It's your average yakudou comic with guda getting hurt. But its a perspective that i love so far...so i want to ramble about it

but of course it starts with a fight: "Everyday life" "Fighting, getting hurt, healing, and-" then theres a beast approaching her, "sometimes, death"

then it cuts to guda in the hospital bed, waking up 3 days later from her injuries with rider vinci on her bedside in the infirmary, checking her vitals. then da vinci casually drops onto ritsuka that if it wasnt for medea lily she would be alive bc, THE ENTRETY OF HER LEFT HALF OF HER BODY WAS TORN APART BY THE MONSTER and shed have died <3

then she says "anyways, im glad your right hand (command spells) wasn't damaged/taken and your wounds was deep but youre healed now. anyways, you good to go on the next mission?" then we cut to the flashbacks of guda in their moment of "death" at this point i was eating all of my fist... then guda just says "yeah lets go" with a smile

theres so many things wrong with that scene in a single instant but its a drug to me to see this kind of interaction where someone says "thank god your staff is safe but anyways 3/4ths of yourself got blown away but thats fixable <3"

then next was oberon's perspective where he describes her as a self sacrifical idiot, that theres no other word for her as she always comes back with scars and wound from fighting, and he doesnt know just what drives her to come back again and again until shes satisfied. then oberon sees artoria being worried she confesses to him about today's events where "ritsuka and i were walking in town to run some errands but just when i heard screams from ritsuka i was too late to notice"

and when castoria turned around all she could see was Ritsuka getting attacked by the enemy from behind, smiling peacefully as if saying "Ah- this is where i die" and castoria is so distressed and worried and shes crying a little and she talks about hers and oberon's love for ritsuka about protecting her and about her not knowing what to do bc she just wants ritsuka to smile my heart was going to give out for the three of them😭 i love them really much

but then next scene fucks me up even more with obecas visiting ritsuka again in the infirmary, then i find out castoria was also the reason why guda is alive. then da vinci says, "no matter what i'll heal ritsuka as best as i can" then oberon says, "Wow, aren't you so desperate about whether she lives or dies?"

Da Vinci, exasperated but now smiling: What are you saying?? It's just natural, after all...

THEN THIS SCENE KILLED ME LIKE IT KILLED GUDA HHH IM GOING TO DIE TOO

"She is our Master!"

Then Oberon pauses. Then internally he goes, "Our Master?"

...Because isnt that saying:

"Precisely because Fujimaru Ritsuka is a "Master" that she is worth healing."

then the comic ends im dying over here bc its 14 pages so far but i need more to stuff it inside my guts

I feel like he’d hate himself for becoming a vampire and then turn to becoming Spider-Man/saving the city as a sort of atonement for becoming a “monster”. And then he creates the society and realizes “oh damn, no one is like me theyre still human” so he just decides not to really talk about his vampiric traits since he never really talks to anyone anyways (except maybe Peter or Jess)

he hides it well enough, resorting to blood bags for sustenance or maybe even just going out hunting at night to quickly satisfy his thirst with a to-be villain, careful not to take too much.

slowly over time he grows more attached to the people who regularly interact with him or bother him (he doesn’t actually mind too much anymore). The problem is that his vampire instincts have also gotten attached to these humans. He doesn’t realize it until he feels that urge, deep in his gut, that whisper of ‘they could always be safer’ and the empty feeling in his stomach all the more prominent.

it terrifies him at first. He’s like ‘I already have to drink blood to sustain myself and now I want to eat the people who are closest to me? Wtaf?’ And then begins to distance himself in an attempt to prevent some sort of situation where he loses control and noms someone. he just gets more and more irritated and upset bc he wants to be near Peter and Jess and the spiderlings but he’s also scared he’s going to snap and his instincts are slowly getting increasingly worse as time goes by without him caring for them —

and then that leads up to him nomming someone. Maybe he’s gotten a code red alert on his watch, sees that’s it’s a spiderling and his instincts just immediately take over bc one of his precious kids are hurt?? All of his earlier reservations staying away have vanished completely. All he knows now is that he has to get in there, get his kid/kids out of that dangerous situation.

(I like to imagine that miguek can shift his size, like from his normal huge 6'9 height to even bigger. idk chalk it up to funky vampire magic 🙂)

so now there's a huge territorial and protective vampire dropping down out of nowhere. imagine being an anomaly and being so sure that you're going to win this fight and escape and then a giant monster-man hellbent on protecting his kids depends from the sky. what are you even supposed to do at that point? pull out the white flags ig.

either way, Miguel finally manages to satisfy his instincts and gulps down one of the kids. I feel like there's great opportunities for angst too, whether that be Miguel not being able to explain that they're safe and won't be hurt bc of how deep he's into his instincts, that basic sort of trope.

but for at least that moment he can relax, slink back to his office and curl up somewhere his vampire instincts deem safe enough and settle down to metaphorically lick his wounds, happy with the prospect of his belly finally full and his chest warm. he'll probably freak out when he snaps out of it tho

- the big monster they fought in the beginning was called a Crawling Apocalypse which looks like this. terrifying !!!

- bizly really liked that william banished it. he was originally not gonna let him do that but then "i realized your character can do so little and that was cool so i said fuck it" we love william pity points he is such a loser and he rolls so terribly <3

- they start talking about one piece because grizzlys saying things abt how certain parts of dakota are inspired by luffy and bizly goes "ive never watched anime" which is the biggest lie in the world

- grizzly: "yknow we were about an hour into the episode before i realized wow i havent done anything productive yet"

condi: "you just hit on vyncents mom for like 20 minutes!!!!"

- and then they start talking about how dakota and chip (bizlys pc from riptide) would either be best friends or hate each other which is really funny bc there are now MULTIPLE what if crossover episodes where they meet and interact and thats exactly the dynamic . i love them

- condi wasnt expecting his dad to be dead, he thought theyd have to fight him

- he kind of hesitated taking the sword !! vyncent doesnt really know how to feel about using something that belonged to his father

- he wasnt entirely Present for the part where his dad betrayed the party, he was sort of fading in and out of consciousness so theres a chance he didnt actually get the full picture. condi knows this out of character and vyncent knows it in the back of his mind somewhere that his dad might not actually be fully evil but hes too angry to come to terms with that yet

- hes struggling a lot with the fact that his mom.doesnt know about the betrayal. he doesnt want to tell her because "its not his fathers pride at stake, its his mother's memory of him" and that makes me so . :(

- THE GREATS!!!!!!!! THE GREATS ARE HERE i love the greats. surely nothing bad is happening to them

- they have a couple theories as to whats going on with the greats:

-- condi: theyre in this state because vyncent took too long getting them back here out of his head

-- condi: they were killed when they got transported to the other world and there was no way to get them back completely

-- charlie: something happened in the time where vyncent was transported to prime and the greats had died, so someone did something to keep them alive by putting them in his head. maybe they could only be kept alive by being in vyncents head

- grizzly tries to insight check bizly irl to see if any of their theories are close so far. this does not work . he rolled a 17 btw

- none of them trust minerva they think she might be secretly working with the lich. bizly defends her by saying "shes also in the middle of basically an apocalypse i think shes allowed to be a little mean to you"

- le frog is the only french person ever. this is brought up with NO context no explanation

- bizly is sharing some of the thumbnail art from youtube because this was right around the time the first few episodes were being put up publically !! most of them are just the same as the official refs but the most important one is le frog bc im not actually sure if youve seen his offical design yet . also tide used to be white. we dont have to talk about white tide

- bizly says pd feels more like a DC comic than a Marvel comic. hes right about this

- charlie starts talking about marissa meyer books and this is important 2 me because the lunar chronicles was an extremely formative piece of media for me . she apparently has a book called renegades thats superhero themed and i have not read it yet but i put it on my list specifically because of this. wahoo!

tgis is SUCH good trivia for this ep thank u dude... ouagh. really solid meal here. i love these last couple episodes so much.. there's so much fun stuff happening here i'm enjoying all of the greats stuff & getting like a solid Vyncent Moment for a while.

I'd rather eat worms than ever have to work at a call center taking phone calls again but I did have some really funny interactions that I think about even though it's been years:

-Asked a guy for his account pin. He couldn't remember his pin until he went "Wait I think you might hate me for this but 69..." I started laughing "69..." at that point I just said "Stop" cause he sounded so nervous to tell me I started laughing too hard and he finally went "....69) It worked. His pin was 696969

-Woman who told me to always cross my toes and not my fingers because crossing my toes is luckier

-Guy who told me he dropped his phone magnet fishing and proceeded to tell me about all the things he's found magent fishing including guns

- Woman who told me about her 20 cats and was describing their buttholes in detail (I was definitely uncomfortable but it made me laugh)

- Coworker asked me to take the call because the "lady won't stop screaming at me" I took the call and immediately asked her upon hearing her accent if she was from New York. She went YES WHY and I was like oh you aren't yelling at us you guys just talk like that. She started laughing and said thank you finally God

- Had a bomb threat. I told him I'd let the store know he was on their way. He said thank you and hung up. Called back specifically for me so I talked to him. "[My name] YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE THIS BUT THEY WILL NOT LET ME IN THE STORE" to which I told him yes that's their protocol but I did let them know since you asked me to tell them so I wanted to be sure I did what you asked. "thank you you're the best I appreciate you letting them know" Got shit at work for being the bomb guys friend. Also his mom called in and said he was definitely gonna do it?

-Guy who was hyperventilating when I answered the call and proceeded to ask me to triangulate his phones location because "theyre in my house"

-Mom who was like im really sorry but my son is really excited about Monster trucks can he tell you about them I said yes of course and talked to little one about monster trucks and how cool they are

-Guy who said I don't sound like I should be working at a call center and offered to pay for my schooling. My boss locked eyes with me because he was listening to the call and I muted myself and I was like hey man....and my boss was like absolutely fucking not you stop that right now

-Guy who told me I was stupid and wanted to talk to my boss. I said "Great! I love feedback!" And I heard him scream as I was putting him on hold. My boss just went "You're lucky we're friends otherwise I'd have to write you up for that"

-Not my story but my friend got shot in the eye with a nerf dart mid call and went FUCK GOD while on the call and had to explain to the customer what happened. Nerf guns were then banned from the office.

-It was my birthday so my bosses came up behind me blasting Lmfao party rockers at full volume while I desperately tried to convey that I was on a call. The customer was like what is actually happening right now and I was like im so sorry but it's my birthday. The customer then proceeded to also blast LMFAO in the background and sing happy birthday at me.

oK NECT:: what happens in these chapters?? Most of the chapter names hint at what happens or are just "perks" of the voice. Chapter one "A new day." Whisperer hops down his island, leaving the safe place behind. and survives a attack from a lizard, he later finds a "horned thing" attacking a green lizard, and saves the green. They become friends. He cant hear voice yet. "Dark they were.... and cyan eyed..."

Chapter two "Object, of obsession." Whisperer has to part ways with the lizard (he named him buddy) after buddy suggested he learnt how to climb poles. buddys last words before whisperer left were "Wait...your tail, it looks like a cy-" whisperer had cut him off by going threw a tunnel, not wanting to look back. Later he finds a scavenger up close for the first time, accidently pushes one and gets hunted. The voice gave him the abillty to read auras of people hunting him...for 5 seconds then removed it. He can not hear the voice yet. "Thanks buddy..."

Chapter 3- filler chapter fr. named "beast of prey though" He can not hear the voice yet

Chapter 4-slippery meat Whisperer finds his way into [small spoiler region] at night, leaving his den early. (shelters are "dens" to him btw.) It is here when he gets jumped by a white lizard and nearly gets eatan, but the voice grants him the abillty to get the chance to escape ONE MORE TIME after failing... for the one time then removed it. he finds luckys egg. He can not hear the voice yet "Y-you just... eat people?"

Chapter 5-No going back. Fading. With the birth of a new creature and the death of the whisperers WILL. has started a new battle for survival which wont end quietly. Through the harshest weather thus far, can he keep up the act of not hurting anyone? whisperer wakes up to see lucky out of his egg in his arms. deciding to keep it, he leaves and figures out he is a carnivore. after a wild flight with scavs and..others.. he curls in a den, feeling fed but losing hope. The voice can not be heard... Whisperer killed a pink lizard chasing him. he broke the promise. hes a monster now. "I can make it back...maybe.."

chapter 6- a dead mans switch. A new region he is in. Pools of death and blood, lucky licking the blood off him. something watches from afar... something silver eyed. He finds chief and debating helping them but doesnt after seeing it would take hurting... he changes his mind and rushes to save them but the voice uses "A dead mans switch" on him, making him drop and forget about lucky. after hurting and injuring the attackers and scaring them off. he passes out. stage 2 lucky voice is louder... "I've seen the look on a man's face when he realizes he's going to die."

Chapter 7-cruel limits Whisperer wakes up with lucky in his arms. chief is there to greet him for what he did before passing out to ask questions. before deciding not a threat. the conversation took all day, and without knowing the rain would soon fall after a little... The ground shook... his worst fear [spoiler enemy], even fucking centipedes. he ran and ran, voice does not like him ignoring the pain from all his bleeding spots and bite wounds. so: The voice gave him cruel limits, making it so he cant run or sense any danger with anything in his arms The same sliver eyes on him, he runs into a den. "It got louder." stage 3 lucky Voice can be heard. no response.

chapter 8- Lucky star not finished, here he interacts with silver for the first time after hearing those mimicking voices forever. lucky-full grown Voices can be heard and responded to. "That kid anit right..." "-D-D-DONT-doihave tohurthim?" "..Dad?" "You have gone threw a lot little thing, and it wont stop." "I'm saving this little thing if its the last thing i do." -many people.

SO GOOD SO GOOD!!! THESE ARE SO GOOD… i dont have the full words to describe just how much i love the emotions & tension you put in these (and theyre not even the full things and yet still so detailed… i can imagine the full paragraphs/text of everything about them all pilled up together is so much more AMAZING!!!)

& even if ive already heard about the first few chapters, i love how i can see as you develop them!!! Im finding out information i didnt before, and stuff you must have added recently, and thats so much fun!!!! <3 (like what was buddy going to say, before whisperer left? my brain filled in the spot as “cyst” but obviously thats NOT what it is LOL)

You know, I'm only ever gonna ask about Bachira...

Tell me why he's the best

LMAO YOURE VALID THERE! IM HAPPY TO TALK ABOUT HIM <3 okay so disclaimer but i sort of answered a slightly different question? instead of why hes the best i felt i could better talk about why i personally love bachira so much and think hes fantastic, so please enjoy this fuckin essay of a post

okay, we have to start with the basics here. the very first thing that drew me to bachira was for SURE his character design. i mean. once again i will mention that i'm growing my hair out to look like his. and hes soooo androgynous!!! and as a nonbinary person who leans towards masc/androgynous styles im HERE FOR IT!!!! plus the yellow was already cool, even before i knew the bee fact about his name :D

and ofc there's also his personality!!! as my friend grin has. accurately read off me. my favorite characters are typically those that are surprisingly competent, and those that embody the :3 face (and thus also the >:3 face), and like. bachira is introduced as a sleepy little guy and then kicks someone in the face so he IMMEDIATELY checks both of those boxes and he really fits my character type

also, elaborating on the surprisingly competent piece—bachira is DECIDEDLY competent, but its not in a like...power sort of way? its all about his technique and his ✨ style ✨ and i really enjoy characters who are great at what they do in a more unconventional way or not having to do with their physicality (coming from a weak little bitch) and i dont know. really anything about soccer irl. but its easy enough to see that bachiras good at this shit!!!!

okay so now we get into the meaty shit, starting with his backstory <3 immediately his being an outcast...really fit, honestly, it tracks a lot for him. but it hit me HARD as someone who was/is kinda an outcast and never really had a solid group of friends until relatively recently? and just...his loneliness resonates with me, a lot. but ANYWAYS im not here to vent or anything, the other thing abt his backstory is the monster metaphor and its beginnings, because it is SO easily read as an allegory for neurodivergence (and without too much stretching, queerness as well). being set apart and left out and seen as weird because of honest, genuine passion and this undeniable part of you and just feeling like something is WRONG with you even if you love it is...such an experience that ive had. and its so so easier to see that in bachira!!!! moral of the story, bachira is bisexual and nonbinary and autistic because i am and i say so <3

anyways anyways straying away from headcanons, bachira's development arc? WRECKS ME. it's so very well done, that evolution of the prior loneliness and the desire to both be independent and to not be left behind are...gorgeous. amazing. i can and will write an essay about it. it really builds well on his backstory and what he's done in blue lock prior to that game and seeing him evolve past his monster and his need for someone to play with but not fully abandon either? it means a lot that he still values companionship even if he feels like he doesnt need it <3

moving onwards, i really adore bachiras interactions with other characters!!! the most obvious example is him and isagi, and we all know at this point how big of a bachisagi fan i am (i just think theyre neat <3 <3 <3) but a genuine FRIENDLY rivalry, emphasis on the friends, doesnt seem to pop up that often in blue lock, and its really nice to see with isagi :D and just!!!! they make each other want to be better!!! its good stuff

theres also bachira and rin, which...that shit is COMPLICATED but it's really really interesting how rin like, almost sees bachira as a rival (and thus an equal) but is the first one to really recognize the idea that bachira is still deeply lonely and dependent on having someone with him? rin is the one who kickstarts bachiras development with the line, "[your soccer] is a soccer that is looking for someone," which i will NEVER forget. i like that bachira still tries to interact with rin and crack his shell despite rins cold behavior towards him, it makes for some fun fun interactions <3

AND I HAVE TO TALK ABOUT LAVINHO. LAVINHO IS AWFUL AT BEING A RESPONSIBLE ADULT AND THAT MEANS THAT HE IS THE PERFECT MENTOR FOR BACHIRA!!!! because bachira still cares about having FUN!!!! AND WHAT HE NEEDS IS THAT SENSE OF EXCITEMENT AND CREATIVITY THAT LAVINHI BRINGS HIM!!!!!!!!! LORD THEYRE SO PERFECT TOGETHER (IN THE MENTOR/MENTEE SENSE OFC) AND I LOVE THEM

okay finally, and ik we've talked about this before, but bachira's motivations are the perfect blend of being individual enough to survive in the environment of blue lock, while still not being completely disconnected from the idea of teamwork and companionship, you know? it means a lot to me that a lot of these characters arent wholely self-centered because. well. many reasons. i could make a whole other post about egoism in bllk and why it Worries Me A Little but i wont get into it here lmao, the important part is that bachira has enough of a goal on his own that he can keep himself going without anyone else, but he WANTS to play with isagi and make friends and have that companionship that he didnt have when he was young and that just.....it resonates and means a lot <3 <3 <3

okay so right . before i get into my Personal hcs i feel like i should explain why he is literally so fucking autistic to the point that despite being a oneoff chara he to this day is one of my strongest supported autistic hcs . because i could go into like Depth and pick apart a bunch of tiny little details but literally if i just in very broad strokes describe him as "a guy with an extremely narrow interest that he zeroes in on and impulsively buys tons of things out of excitement for it and who is infantilized by his mother despite being a grown adult and whose 'best friend' in fact seems to deeply resent him a fact he is entirely clueless of because of his inability to read the very obvious social cues" and ull be MORE than convinced so why would i bother

speaking of which he has a special interest on ancient torture devices which is like two steps away from canon anyway <3 his show is one massive excuse to infodump on the subject . pov youre about to get your head chopped off and you just want to get it over with but unfortunately your would-be murderer is giddily explaining the history of the guillotine

i think hes like . he has this weird masking thing that he cant stop doing where he basically CONSTANTLY even when hes not on camera acts like hes acting like hes constantly flourishing and performing for a camera and an audience and shit . its part of why people tend to find him kind of obnoxious because hes CONSTANTLY doing his stage persona bc thats just how he masks and gets thru social interaction while still seeming charismatic and he doesnt really know how to switch it off totally

VERY VERY VERY stimmy he cant hold still hes CONSTANTLY moving especially when hes talking . usually this shows as him just pacing back and forth and flourishing in the air while he talks but when ehs VERY excited he flaps his hands a lot and claps his hands and giggles . he kicks his legs when hes sitting down a lot hes basically always swinging his legs bc he cant hold still but when he gets hyped up its VERY AGGRESSIVE . which is bad bc hes always wearing very thick boots

he like . he masks a lot to hide Social Awkwardness which hes pretty good at but hes very very bad at masking his emotions if hes uspet hes UPSET . especially with sensory issues if you ruffle his hair when hes not expecting it he gets VERY FLAILY and makes a lot of dismayed noises he cant really regulate his reactions to stuff at all . im crazy about cecil and junos weird half-friendship so i think he Knows cecils ways of reacting to stuff and like just out of habit he immediately course corrects whenever cecil makes one of his little agh argh rhghrhg noises that means hes overwhelmed and trying Very Badly to mask it . dont let anyone kno tho they cant know juno (ugh) Doesnt Want Cecil To Be Upset or whatever

he likes lots of pressur!!!!!! im weak for the idea of the cameramen just being silly little dogs when theyre not doing their work and shit so he likes just lying down and letting one of these MASSIVE fucking genetically engineered monster creatures just fwop on him so he has pressure . tbh

favorite thing about them: GOD. THERE REALLY IS SO MUCH. Of course I love his design, it's absolutely bonkers in the best way--if you told me two years ago there was a nine foot tall monster robot yugioh character with angel symbolism out the ass i would have been like EXCUSE ME. HELLO. *RUNNING OVER* but also!! his arc is just fucking GOOD. he's just this sad and complex and angry and miserable old old old man in a robot werelion body who's actually three people who are actually just one person. peak yugioh villain nonsense i absolutely adore it. and i LOVE when villains have the face turn and fight back against the Big Bad as much as they can. it goes hard!!! (but also, specific small thing thats one of my favorite things about him--it's like, very implied despite being Gigantic he's fairly dexterous and gentle with how he handles things?? Always grabbing his tiny cards very delicately and doings little tricks with them and in tag force 6 (Citizen Kane for Insane Aporia Girlies) he actively tells you the protagonist that he doesnt make mistakes with how much force to use with things (being a machine and all.) idk it's just very cute to me. it's a sweet detail.)

least favorite thing about them: pained smile. big man proper's literally only in.....about 9-10 episodes total??? <:) crying. wailing. my kingdom for a SLIVER of more screentime. it's also a shame like. 2/3s of his episodes never got dubbed, I would have absolutely adored to see what the dubbed version would have looked like!! (especially since those eps include like. my Favorite 5ds duels. it'd be like having two whole cakes babey!!!!)

i've been postponing my homestuck read for days now, focusing on other work and stuff. it was only yesterday that i stop doing my little break. here's my thoughts :

-post scratch world are fascinating. everyone is 15 and the parents are now the kids and vice versa. it seems like a mix between alternia and earth! Lusus exists but concentrated on jake's island, i've seen a lot of callbacks to earlier dialogues and certain troll only things like the quadrants being mentioned, and im pretty sure the rival baking empire was headed by the troll empress who found her planet destroyed.

-anyway, the parents?!!?!?! theyre now the kids? how does that work? dirk and roxy did mention their parents are dead so maybe the sburb alpha version of dave and rose just isnt in the picture but man i wanna see i wanna i wanna see. and now everything i know about the alpha kids makes me want to go back and look back on the beta kids interaction with their parents to go Hmmmmmmmmmmm

-that being said it would be extra screwy is the alpha guardians (grown up beta kids) are actually still alive theyre just absent cunts so the alpha kids resent them and believe the real ones are dead. Oh roxy, just wait until you see your child / mother.

-my thoughts on jane crocker : heartbreaking. the AU version of your favorite beta kid is a billionare 😭. to be fair all of them becomes rich kids in this alpha timeline lol. -but mostly im interested in the areas she sleepwalked in. im pretty sure i saw dead dreamself terezi or nepeta and karkat with a knight of blood godtier outfit but no eyes, indicating he's dead. and ofc gamzee and equius but he's still alive. wait he's wearing glasses so i have no idea. I thought this is one of those dream bubbles thing but im even more weirded out with dead godtier karkat. is the void is more of a place for abandoned possibilities? or did i just mistook things over here? rose was there but somehow thats to be expected. she's trying to awaken roxy right? what will roxy do with her access to the void? what will she stole from the depths of the abyss?

-and dirk. wonder what he finally saw at the skies of derse. he's the prince of heart right? the only heart player i know is nepeta and we never really see her powers in action. i cant wait to see whats in store for him. also, he's actually gay? AND A BRONY???? anywho, dojima's complaining about naoto being 'prodigy detective' and 'the kubo kid' and almost smacking the soul out of adachi's body while adachi responds like a good subordinate listening to his boss' drunken complaining

it's concerning to know that he made his own cup (mug?) overflow with adachi's concerning 'dojimasan--stop, stop!' and even reminding him about...nanako

keeping him together with the thought of his daughter and hes like 'nanako....' while adachi gets a call about how dojima's doing and while acting in disbelief that his boss going off again when accused and he gets hung up on and he just finds dojima asleep and. yeah.

look, i also forget adachi and dojima's dynamic whether adachi's genuine or not, dojima is right to be grateful for his company woww a pair of besties if i see one

then a loony cartoon sfx and we're into naoto's pov flashback where they kept running into the IT and accidentally scaring each other starting from yukiko banging on the piano and laughing, being the first one to scare chie and teddie,

and ultimately running away to be where marie is after they split up to find yukiko. from how naoto perceived it, she recites her poem rather,.,.,.,ghoulishly and finally they drop dead on the spot, which was the thump marie heard

MONSTER HIGH OC IDEAS I HAVE SO FAR:

starla cirrus and vampyra beaks (<- working name I know all monster high names are stupid (affectionate) but I feel like I could do better with this one.), 2 cephalopod monster best friends that attend abyssal academy in the depths of the atlantic ocean. starla is half vampire and spends her winters on land with her mother and her summers in the sea with her father (theyr divorced). vampyra is a vampire squid (neither a vampire nor a squid.) and has spent xir whole life in the sea but decides to join starla on the surface for a few months. naturally xe is having a much harder time adjusting to the surface than starla is but xe ends up enjoying it a lot :) also I dont have a specific voice in mind for vampyra but starla has a baltimore accent you have to read everything she says with one.

mariana trent, a deep-sea monster based on a bunch of different animals (mainly giant oarfish, anglerfish, and snailfish). she deeply cares for the community she lives in but shes always been curious about what lies above and wanted to study the surface firsthand. I'll be honest I dont have a fully planned out story for her yet I just like her and have been having a lot of fun with her design.

MALLIE, a computer program that gained sentience and subsequently decided to become a virus. she hates being restricted to living behind a screen and thinks if she collects enough information from others' computers she might finally become "real". she uses the information she gathers to imitate the people whose devices she infects as accurately as possible in order to spread as effectively as she can. I think if she was a real monster high character she'd be a villain initially for like a movie or something and then later she'd calm down and become a vtuber or something. maybe frankie/ghoulia/robecca make her a robot body or something so she can finally interact with the physical world or maybe she becomes at peace with living on computers. who can say. well I can say I made her but you fucking know what I mean.

I dont have a name for this one yet but hes a haunted automaton. hes ballet-themed. he can walk, write, dance, and play music, but he struggles to do things that his body wasnt made for and he has to keep a strict schedule to keep from getting wound down (literally) too fast. he becomes friends with mallie later on and shes like a little sister to him :)

jacquelantern, a pumpkin-headed girl. she just kind of appeared one day and doesn't remember anything before that point but slowly and with the help of others starts to uncover her memories and find out who she is. kind of like shadow the hedgehog if you think about it TBH.

these were already existing old ocs but I thought itd be fun/appropriate to put them in this world with all the others their names are shelly and grim and theyr a shellycoat and a nixie respectively. theyr in a band together (grim as a violinist and shelly as a dancer/living tambourine) and theyr like siblings. shelly is mischievous and loves scaring people.

other character ideas I have that I havent developed as much are donella glass, a glass octopus monster who dresses in bright colors in bold patterns, sealia ronan, a selkie who wears her sealskin tied around her waist like a jacket, blobbie sculpin (<- also wip name), a fathead sculpin girl who wears a pressurized suit so she can go to the surface without exploding & fellow aspiring surface scientist/friend of mariana, paulette, an epaulette shark mermaid who loves fencing, and lura leftvent & lily, an illuminated netdevil and a crinoid who go by "netdevil" and "cringeoid" respectively online and get into internet drama you cannot even imagine.

• mondstadt has a lot of stray dogs

• when one finds him, he looks at it with so much quiet awe, because yk even when youre at rock bottom dogs always know how to comfort you

• then he reaches out to pet it

• and it flinches away.

• and he knows, logically, its bc he has a cryo vision now and his hands were probably cold.

• but his mind screams at him; spy. traitor. monster.

• monster. monster. monster.

• kaeyas a very touchy person

• but since that day, hes never been able to casually touch someone without having them squirm at his cold hands

• and everytime, his mind screams at him; monster.

• kaeya will always hate that little part of himself that comes from khaenriah

• that part of him is truly a monster, he thinks.

• and then he meets albedo.

• khaenrian or not, albedos the prettiest thing hes ever seen.

• theyve barely interacted but albedo changed his whole world view bc suddenly khaenrian = bad but albedo = intelligent and witty and wonderful and-

• so.. khaenrian = not bad.

• ah. but when you have a cryo vision, your sensitivity to cold is significantly weakened. and when one of ur coworkers lives on an icy mountain.....,

• yea jean tasks kaeya with all the dragonspine-comissions and letters to albedo AHAHA THERES NO AVOIDING ALBEDO EVEN IF HE TRIES

• they become aquaintances. kaeya tries not to let their relationship go beyond anything but work.

• but then one day a mitachurl is too strong and it has an ice shield which means kaeyas attacks are basically useless against it and- yea.

• when albedo patches up his wounds, its too awkward not to make conversation so they do.

• its boring stuff abt the Knights and Mondstadt and Sucrose and then suddenly-

• "youre the only one who never complains about where i live, you know."

• and kaeyas like........ what????

• "dragonspine is a beautiful place, but deadly. the trek to my research lab is arduous- neither klee, nor sucrose, or even the traveller is fond of it. but i can't leave this place."

• "i'm just thankful everytime you deliver a message, you don't seem too annoyed."

• and its true. mostly for the fact that when kaeya makes it to albedos lab, hes excited he gets to admire the pretty alchemist's face.

• but he never thought it'd mean so much.

• and,, ah,, at the realization that hes special- that he means something to this really pretty alchemist he- er-

• "..are you blushing?"

• "no."

• kaeyas face feels really, really warm.

• see kaeya is good at flirting- not at genuine compliments on the insignificant little habits he has. hes horrible with those.

• but albedo just smiles, (wholly unfair by the way. HE SMILES?? HES ALREADY PRETTY NORMALLY THIS IS A WHOLE NEW LEVEL OF CHEATI-) takes his hand and offers him food

• kaeya's heart sinks and he looks at albedo.

• kaeya looks at him and waits.

• waits. waits for the realization, waits for albedo to flinch away, waits for the monster. monster. monster.

• nothing happens.

• albedo is a synthetic human (well, kaeya doesnt know that) so whether kaeyas hands are freezing cold or not, he wouldnt be able to tell.

• thats why albedo can live on dragonspine. he doesnt get cold. theyre the same.

• the same. theyre the same. and since theyre the same, if albedo isnt a monster- neither is kaeya.

• you gotta understand that kaeya hasnt been able to hold people in his arms ever since that day.

• kaeya is touch. starved. VERY MUCH SO.

• and albedos hand on his feels like fire.

• "is something wrong? youre spacing out."

• for a moment, kaeya forgets. the fight, how he got his vision, all the suffering afterwards-

• he forgets what it felt like to be a monster.

little nightmares/mostly six headcannons

-the kids almost never talk. like, they can, but every little noise can mean death and theyre just not used to it. their norm is communicating nonverbally and just going along with whatever the other is doing cause they trust each other. their speech is also kind of broken

-even when they do talk six is very quiet, mono does all the talking and six often just ignores his questions lol. shes not doing it to be rude tho, she never had that many human interactions much less conversations, she doesnt know how they work (ive seen a lot of ppl hc her as selectively mute and i like that but im not 100% sure how that works, i have to read more about it)

- the way i see the world of ln is that it's a world where who knows how many years ago it was normal, just like ours, but a bunch of different magical events/entities/forces started messing with it and it became how it is now. theres a lot of other weird places besides what we see in the game. and in the comics its kinda said that these magical things mess with your memories too, if you dont talk about them, you forget them

-we see in the game that six is kinda feral and behaves like an animal sometimes, so i headcannon that whatever magical thing happened to the place she's from, happened when she was very young. she spent most of her life alone, teaching herself how to live, and is not very socialized

-mono has way more like experience with socialization and human communities etc than six, only being really affected by the magic stuff for the last couple of years, but between the fading memories and time loop paradox thing, he doesnt remember any of it

-neither of them can write tho mono knows how to read

-six is very playfull and, when shes relaxed, loves playing pranks on mono. she also loves drawing

-this is kinda based on how players always make mono to be a uwu soft boy pacifist and six a genocidal blood thirsty monster, even tho on the game mono kills more people than six, but when six does something creepy mono is like "six, what the heck, youre terrible" while six is "???? wha???didnt you just kill 3 people 5 minutes ago????"

-six is like terrified of monos powers. this is kinda canon because after she pulls him out of the tv she does seem to be scared and pushes herself away from him, but still, i wanted to include it here bc i dont see many ppl talking about it. she mostly just ignores it tho cause she trusts him

-while the game itself only lasts a couple of hours i like to think mono and six actually travelled together for like 1 or 2 months and the game is just a tldr version of that, only rlly showing the important parts lmao. but they did a lot of walking climbing eating  sleeping bonding etc
