Hii hope you have a wonderful day today! -I wanted to ask something to make sure im not being mean but- is it possible for an Ace person to be Aphobic? Im in a fandom where there used to be a Ace character- he said he was- thing is, the show never said he was SexRepulsed- but fans took his lack of interest as such. believed he was in fact SexRepulsed. -that character is gone- now, there is yet another character (think, a reboot of the old one) believed to be Ace but this time, he seems to be ok with touch an even seems very friendly ~ with only one character. my ask is, if some people view this second version, as still Ace. but sex favorable, is that aphobic? is maybe having another view on this chracter that is questioning himself, a bad thing? because this is said a lot, that ppl is being aphobic for "refusing to accept he is sex repulsed" or "using the fact he is questioning himself to ship him" (mind you-most shipart is literally hand holding and being buddies) hope Im making sense- im so lost and I trust your blog to help me (because im also scared to be harrased for asking this inside that fandom)

(We got your other ask, I got half way through answering it and then forgot, so I will get to that soon I promise) Good to hear from you again :) I ended up going a little off topic here, but I hope I managed to fully answer this (if not, just send another one). Also get ready for some parentheses.

In answer to the first part of your question, yes ace people can be aphobic (many ace people can be arophobic, but also acephobic, both to people who share their own identity and others who have a different identity under the ace umbrella).

This is a pretty interesting question actually, because there is acephobia at play in the situation you're describing, but not necessarily in the way those people mean. It is NOT acephobic to have a sex favourable ace character, that's fine, because there are sex favourable aces out there and they're just as much a part of our community as those who are indifferent, averse, repulsed, or some sort of mixture. Sex favourable aces have just a much right to see themselves represented as sex averse aces, but unfortunately, there is so little asexual representation that it can feel like if one flavour of ace people are represented, that that representation has been taken away from aces of other flavours.

It's totally understandable to feel that way, but that doesn't mean those feelings are actually justified? And people get pretty negative reactions for complaining about any lack of rep, which can lead to bad feelings all round and just creates even more of a divide between us. We have to understand that our individual experiences not being represented is NOT the fault of other ace people. It's not fair to want one group to miss out on representation, just so another can get theirs. Additionally, it can be important for people who are questioning or struggling with their identity to work through that in their art, and explorations of things like touch aversion and touch starvation can be very nuanced because one person can experience both to very high degrees, and they each can even compound the other. And, a sex favourable asexual person will not feel the same way about sex as an allosexual person, and that is an equally nuanced and interesting (and fun) thing to be able to explore.

I don't know what media this ask is about, so I can't comment on specifics, but I can admit, I've been frustrated by this sort of thing in the past; it can be really hard to shake an instinct to push back when you feel like you're being treated unfairly, but sometimes we do have to step back and understand that everyone in our community feels the same way, we just want to see ourselves and to feel seen by others. As a person who is both aro and ace, and doesn't want to have sex or be in a romantic relationship, I don't feel represented by characters who are alloace in the way an alloace person does, or sex/romance favourable aroace characters in the way sex favourable aroace people do, but they probably feel that same way when they see aro characters or sex averse characters. It does really suck when people outside of the community ignore and erase the identities of aspec characters because they don't feel our experiences are interesting or valuable enough to represent and explore, but that isn't what's happening on an intracommunity level (as in, within the ace community).

The recent discourse about shipping aroace characters has sort of been getting me down, because it's a complex topic and rather than being a black-or-white, two sides thing, there are people with good and bad takes (mostly bad, let's be real) coming from so many different directions, there is so much nuance it would take me much more than one little answer to cover (and let me tell you, if I were to try, it would not be on this blog!). I might have said this before, but I tend to avoid fandoms of media with canon aroace characters for the most part for this exact reason, and within the community we are SO far ahead of where the rest of the world (and even the rest of the queer community) sees aspec people, I genuinely believe (call it cynical if you like) that this will continue to be a problem for several more years. And like, you can just block people and move on with your life, your fandom experience will be so much more enjoyable if you block people who say shit you think sucks, aphobic or not. Everyone should do this.

holy. fuckin'. DAMN. I was pretty good at predicting the plot so far, but this episode proved that stampede is going in a whole new direction for real. spoilers for ep 9!!! (and manga a bit)

first of all, we still haven't got a full story of the great fall, but I think it's something they'll reveal in this season, probably during confrontation with knives. and still no scar reveal!! I'm angy but it's something that could be relevant to the standoff with knives, hope we'll get it

the piano scene... oh we're eating GOOD, it's just so wholesome but goes to confirm my theory that twins weren't completely fine on the ship. vash feeling useless because he can't do cool plant shit, knives envying vash for being good at human shit.... oh it's great

so glad knives is getting proper characterization and not just "he evil because he evil"! the fear, the hurt, the genuine care for vash, but then frustration with him – it's right there and I'm eating it up so yummy

the way they recontextualized vash's arm loss is GORGEOUS! I've seen ppl reading this scene differently, but to me it was an act of care from naï. he looks really scared for a reason: we see that the gate consumed all matter, including the hand. vash couldn't control it, so it would only grow bigger and destroy him. NAÏ REALIZED THIS AND SAVED VASH THE ONLY WAY HE COULD

he didn't want to fight him, this was not an act of anger, like in previous versions. all he cared about in that moment was saving his twin..... and what did he get in return? a gun pointed to his face. a gun he gave vash to kill human scum. oh, the DRAMA

ahem, now to the less intense stuff

homeboy has so much trauma, like, damn... how is he gonna fit any more from his impending epic brother fight...... I'm quite curious on how they're gonna characterize him in the next season. concidering that we're taking off earlier than previous versions, he might end up with the same unhinged vibe 98' vash had, as a coping mechanism (if depression didn't work, try dissociation and silliness). but then it would be even more interesting to see meryl's and wolfwood's reactions: they knew him before the accident and saw the big sad

vash has sense in the prosthetic arm, so it must've hurt when he damaged it... probably it hurts less than the real one, and it's clearly painless to take off. but the hand seems to be rather sensitive and fic writers are gonna go crazy for this

age reveal! also brad and luida being in cryosleep makes sense, I was racking my brain on how they're still alive. seems like they're using much more plant power tho... both for cryo and the vegetation, while in manga they tried to keep it as low as possible and send signals to earth

saw someone say that they're probably not doing that here because the earth is destroyed... could be that they decided to go the hard way. but in the manga the earth was still fucked, and it wasn't clear if they communicated with the ppl left on the planet or the fleet that was in some new place. what I'm saying is, there is a possibility that they are looking for help in stampede, we just don't know it yet

meryl was so cute! go off, comedy relief goofy girl, while you can, there is more trauma coming your way :3 yeah, enjoy roberto calling you by your first name... oh it would be such a shame if he gave you his derringer before his untimely death..........

Ok. I usually don’t spill the beans about what I plan to write (mainly bc I need to keep up the motivation), but this would be an exception bc I always make exception for rarepairs.

Anw. About Clovis and Nico.

I have many jumbling thoughts about them but Ig it all comes down to two things:

1/ Their stories

2/ Their powers, down to their very core.

When I say the stories, here’s the thing

Nico has a lot of history, whereas Clovis does not. Obviously. Nico has been around as the deuteragonist since book 3, whereas Clovis barely makes an appearance. The difference in their screen time is abyssal.

But look at it in the normal way. If Nico was to play a character, what does that make Clovis?

An observer.

Why? Because Clovis, as it turns out, has the potential to be the one who knows the most, seeing as the Hypnos’ cabin is literally the central station of the highway through which all dreams must pass through.

And dreams, essentially, are just fragments of one’s life stories.

So look at it this way. Nico is a character. Clovis is the observer, and from that, a story teller.

- He is frankly a stranger but he may know a lot more about Nico than a mere stranger would. Isn’t that romantic? (A little creepy but let’s not delve on that)

- Nico wouldn’t be alone. He might think he’s alone, but if we take in the assumption that Clovis knows about his struggles, he might offer silent help without prying too much.

Think of it this way. You’re struggling and you’re just so tired but every way you look at is a dead-end. And then suddenly someone comes and takes your hand and opens a new door and you just collapse in their arms crying as they tell you “It’s gonna by okay”

- Clovis is a son of the Underworld too. What does it mean? It means the “ppl don’t like children of hades” doesn’t mean shit. Clovis would be the exception to whatever Nico has had to deal with from CHB.

- Rick makes Nico an insomnia and I’m monopolizing it for Clovico bc not letting Clovis in this is obviously Clovis-erasure. The potential is hitting me in the face. I’m sending Nico off to Hynpos’ cabin at every chance I get.

- Sleep dates every night bc I SAID SO. Nico getting over his touch-fright thanks to piling up in pillows and blankets with the Hypnos children so much.

- Clovis falling asleep during meetings bc he has Nico relaying everything to him later. Bonus point if he is actually laying on Nico’s shoulders and everyone’s like “shouldn’t we address that” but Nico’s like “Shhh” 😭😭😭

- Brewing tea and warming milk for each other!

- Morning routine: opening eyes - “Do u feel like up and shining?” - “Nah” - proceeds to return to sleep until Austin comes rapping on the door

- “We have a date” and all ppl see them doing is just sleeping. JOKE’S ON THEM tho bc they’re having the best dates ever in the dreamland

Which brings us to the second point vvvv

Their powers overlap in one thing, and that is the dreams.

Throughout the series, we have been shown: Olympus, Erebus, Tartarus, Atlantis (idk ab that tho). You know what we haven’t touched?

The dreamscape.

No, not the misleading nightmares/ illusions of Epiales in TSATS. I mean the dreamscape. The land of one’s living mind.

It’s literally a new world right there.

And oh would you look at that. Who could enter this realm? Oh right! Children of Hades and Hypnos.

Nico and Clovis (and other children of Hypnos Morpheus ofc) have a whole world to themselves, no shit.

- Here’s a thing I like ab what Rick did in HOO: Through the dreams, Nico could connect with the Hypnos cabin in general and Clovis in specifics, thousands of miles away from them.

So what does this mean? It means that, no matter where Nico is, he can always find his way to Clovis.

Just fall asleep and then let his dream lead him.

Isn’t that romantic - that the one you love would always be there, behind your eyelids? 🫶🥰 And you can always see them just by closing your eyes?

Nico could be at the other side of the globe and they’d still be seeing, touching each other every day/night. Look me in the eyes and tell me another couple who could do it.

- The whole thing about death being a big, undisturbed sleep. But it’s 1:30 am i don’t have th willpower

Since you know a lot about PJO, do you know how Sally Jackson found the money to pay for a private school for Percy? I never understood: if they were so poor, where did the money come from to pay for a prestigious school like Yancy Academy? And why didn't Sally accept to live in Atlantis when offered?

i am NOT that knowledgable in pjo 💀 but i'll try to answer your questions anyway

i don't think there's ANY explanation for how sally managed to afford to send percy to a prestigious school, but i headcanon that it's a similar situation to the mc of persona 5.

basically, MC was accused of committing a crime and got expelled from school. shujin academy, an elite school, was the only one willing to accept him for free with his criminal record. they accepted him because they believed it would help boost the school's image if they managed to reform him and make him a "proper member of society".

i like to think many of the private/military schools percy got shipped off too had the same mindset.

as for the second one, sally NOT accepting to live in atlantis was actually a very smart move 💀 literally nothing good ever happens to mortals when they get too greedy or accept a god's gifts. plus, sally's a hardworker, she doesn't like to let other ppl solve her problems.

I think it might be dumle, do they have sticks version? Also idk did you ever try Swiss chocolate but hands down it's also one of the best things ever and the fact that I don't have access to Cailler on the regular is a crime. And Kinder and Milka fucking slap but I think that's understood (even though some of their things are sooo pricey).

As for my tooth, considering it fully broke idk how I'll go about fixing it. And since our health system is... what it is, and I hate dentists with burning passion, we'll see what happens. It's just very unfortunate situation.

And I can't help but to join a/b/o conversation because it's one of my favourite tropes ever. I totally get what you mean with your comment on omegaverse and ngl I blame straight people getting into it and writing it because omegaverse is so inherently queer (and I will preach about it until the end of time) and so many newer omegaverse fanfics nowdays just don't have the spirit of what it should be.

And I do love unconditional omegaverse so much 🫶🏻 especially two alphas. And I love when there is extra layer of trans experience by making characters feel uncomfortable with their presentation and they look for ways to change it. Bitching and studding fanfics are so good actually- (aka alpha becoming omega and omega becoming alpha). Straight up, one of my favourite omegaverse fanfics is ship with these two alphas and one of them always hated it and he ends up confessing it to the other one and other one helps him change and then helps him through his first heat <3

there IS a bias against sirius in the marauders fandom, which ppl don't talk about because like u can't admit to disliking him PUBLICLY but which comes out in a lot of ways and i think it's because he's the character whose flaws are pointed out the most in the narrative and who is the most transparently morally grey and in a fandom centered around OC's which it's easy to sanitize (regulus can't have any flaws if he has three lines dedicated to him), it leads to a lot of shitty takes (cont)

(cont, part ii re: sirius) I have noticed that people who HATE Snape and LOVE regulus nearly always have terrible characterizations of sirius because it's emblematic of this fandom's inability to accept characters who don't easily fit into uwu soft boi boxes and instead have real, actual flaws.

I think there's two separate issues to tackle here in what you mention: one is this fandom's inability to stomach actual morally grey characters that have done too many bad things to be easily forgivable without raising the question of morality, but too many good things to just be written off as evil (Snape, Regulus, Barty Crouch Jr, Narcissa etc).

((I don't want to talk about it here because if I do this post will never end, but if anyone wants to hear my thoughts on it (why?) just send me a separate ask about it. Let's talk about Sirius instead --))

The other issue is the bias against Sirius (which I don't think is related to the previous one, at least not directly) - which honestly confuses the hell out of me the more I talk about it, because I absolutely can not put my finger on where it's coming from.

The worst thing is that it comes from people who claim/think they like him, like in WolfStar - there is an obvious and very clear bias against Sirius in so many WolfStar fics (@ padfootastic has several brilliant posts where she talks about it).

When I see anti-Sirius hate from, say, Snape fans who hate the Marauders - it does not surprise me. It's usually irrational and they don't claim to like him to begin with, so it does not bother me. It's just your typical fandom character hate. I get that.

What I don't understand is when you go to someone's blog, who genuinely believes they like Sirius, and then you read their content (which is usually wolfstar, just bc it happens to be the most popular Sirius ship) and it's just.. Sirius fucking up over and over again and apologising to everyone and everybody else (James, Remus, even fucking Regulus) being just perfect and untouchable and it's like... do any of yall actually like Sirius or is he just a prop to make the characters you actually like come off better?

me and Niki talked about it the other day - how in post-Azkaban wolfstar fics it's always Sirius apologising to Remus over and over for thinking he's a spy while Remus believing the Order that Sirius is the traitor and never doing anything to find out the truth or help him is just brushed under the carpet because "oh but all his friends were dead he was so sad!"; wait, and Sirius wasnt? Sirius lost the only family he ever had, which was James.

I don't think it stems from his flaws being pointed out the most, though. Because there's so many characters who are presented in a much more negative light (in the actual canon people tend to forget), which the fandom absolutely adores (including Remus, Snape, Draco and Regulus themselves, each in their own way).

I think, overall, Sirius is a character whose base is specifically made in a way that's easy to hate. He is rich, pureblooded, famous, he is handsome, he is confident and loud, popular, smart, charismatic, good at everything he does, young Sirius is the typical stereotype of a popular high school jock bully, who is usually the unlikeable anti-hero-- but, and here's the twist-- instead, Sirius is kind, Sirius is loyal, Sirius is selfless, Sirius is good.

(Sirius makes everyone around him better - he makes James less hypocritical and more self aware, he makes Remus more open and less self absorbed, he makes Regulus kinder; Sirius is kind, he is giving, in a way it's his response to the trauma he's been through, he responds to it by being kind, and kind, and giving, and selfless)

He has the data to be unlikeable, but he actually isn't, which is where, if I had to take a guess, I would say the confusion people are feeling is coming from. They don't know how to stomach him. They don't know how to write him. Because if you write him the way he is, it makes everyone else seem worse all of a sudden, it brings out their negative traits (whether it's James, Remus, Regulus-) and we can't have that, right? So instead people go in the other direction and make him dramatic, make him annoying, make him selfish, make him all of the things Sirius actually isn't just to bring up the others.

Which is where we go back to the first point (which I see now that is related, now that we're talking about it) - people are afraid of this, because they've already sorted everyone by good and bad, and made it impossible for themselves to like flawed characters.

But there's nothing bad about a character being flawed - the most frequent reason over which I drop fics mid-reading is when one of the main characters is not flawed enough. Lily and Remus are so often written as Mary Sues (Lily for lack of an actual personality, while Remus because his entire character arc is centered around being a werewolf, so we can't give him any other bad traits right? god forbid), James even in Jegulus fics sometimes lacks any personality whatsoever beyond being a good, lovable guy.

So people do everything upside down - they write real, complicated characters as bland and flawless, and then take someone like Sirius, who is so so good, who everyone adores, and drop EVERYBODY'S flaws on him because they don't know what to do with him.

I don't get it.

If someone can explain this phenomenon to me, please do.

I don’t want to say I’m shocked but I honestly don’t know how TT can see a tweet that was not even directed towards them and somehow make it about them and have so many people who work at DC apologize to him about it while never addressing the actual person who was being harmed in the tweet. He said it wasn’t about shipping but only an hour later wrote under a tweet “exhausting” when someone tweeted: it kills me that comic readers are raging war on the internet today about a comic book couple that haven't been together for 30 years now.. 30 years !! Give it rest kids!” Is he really that ignorant? Does he really not see what he did was so wrong. I honestly hope Anna Diop is okay and knows she’s so loved.

Yeah, it's all a fucking mess. First off a lot of the DickBabs vs DickKory discourse isn't even from Kory or Anna Diop fans, it's often DickBabs ppl starting that feud (including Tom Taylor) so the fact he acts like he hates seeing the feud is dumb as fuck when he helps instigate the shit so much. Then the actual problem here was that ppl (while the actual screenshot was just one person we know it's many ppl attacking Anna Diop for years) were using his Nightwing book and the ship of DickBabs to send racial attacks to Anna Diop and not once does his "thread" that he tells ppl to read actually say anything about Anna specifically as she's the one being attacked, but of course he throws in a "I've been attacked too, but this isn't about me" and yet you found a way to make it about yourself anyway. He just generalized the specific racist attack and then compares it to attacks he receives as well.

And because he brought it up we got a whole ton of comic book professionals continuing to ignore the original racist attack on a black women to console the white dude that's so sad people are being attack, including him, but this isn't about him. Shut the fuck up, Tom.

1. how did you get into the show?

i heard about it back in like 2013 bc a yt channel I liked made references to it all the time but initially i was kinda scared to watch it bc I heard there was some offensive stuff and wasn't sure if that was my thing. then a few years later i was on a spring break trip w/ my high school and some ppl started talking about mac and dennis: manhunters for some reason?? and that made me so curious about it that I started pirating it a few days later lol

that being said... i didn't actually get into the show at that point. I got to about the first ep of season 2 and then just stopped bc even tho it was super funny I couldn't really connect with the characters and some of the satire felt a little too accurate to me. but from 2017 to like... may-ish of last year I watched a few eps here and there and made it to the beginning of season 3.

in october I was going thu a bit of an existential crisis (im mostly good now) and was looking for something funny to watch that hopefully wouldn’t suck up too much of my time (LMAOOO) and found it in my continue watching section on hulu and thought “this’ll be perfect bc i’ll probably just watch a season or so and then turn it off again”. yeah, that didn’t happen. (of course it probably helped that i’d watched i want you back earlier that year and realized i had a massive crush on charlie lol)

2. who’s your favorite character and why? (has your fav changed since you started watching the show?)

like i said in the last question it took me a while to pick a favorite but i literally caught one glimpse of charlie day’s freckles in i want you back and became obsessed with him & every character he’s ever played forever. aside from being super fucking adorable tho i genuinely think he’s the funniest character in the show. he has sooo many iconic moments and i love that he’s silly but also very capable like in charlie work :) also i really enjoy that he’s generally the “nice” one but he can also be very evil & feral at times. basically i like how complex he is lol. i just wanna wrap him in a blanket and feed him some spaghetti <3

3. what are your top 3 favorite episodes?

this is so fucking hard but here’s 3 off the top of my head:

the aluminum monster vs. fatty magoo : this is the one that made me finally get into the show! i loved that the characters were terrible to the point of absurdity. dennis putting on the dress was such an unforgettable moment & i feel like this ep is when they really found him as a character. charlie’s plot in this is also great, i love how he’ll end up in the most bizarre situation and just adapt to it (and the part where he's fantasizing about the drawing was... interesting to say the least lol). also any episode written by glenn & charlie is fucking iconic

the gang goes on family fight: this is just such a comfort ep tbh. family feud is always fun/funny and i love when the gang actually gets along. dennis’s freakout at the end was also super funny & relatable

the gang goes to hell part 2: after getting to know the characters for so many seasons, watching them almost die was strangely cathartic lol. it just felt like a love letter to the gang’s friendship, & it makes me think about how i’m so attached to these terrible fictional people. i could probably write a whole essay on this ep tbh. also the imaginary dinner scene is so funny to me, i love how much they get into it. 

also an honorable mention to charlie rules the world: charlie looks hot af in this episode (obviously) plus i love video game related eps in any show lol. It’s a fun ep to try to analyze charlie as a character, and i love that dennis just goes completely off the rails.

this is so hard bc all the songs on my sunny playlist are for ships/the whole gang… gonna go with leave me alone - fidlar bc of that one fancam plus i was listening to them earlier lol (ps. if anyone has any good charlie songs pls send them to me!!)

I had a thot for Echos, like an au of the au.

What if over the course of the war, Ahsoka and Rex start getting even more jaded? They’re trying to stop Palpatine, trying to save their brothers and friends, but they can’t do enough. Every time, either more people die or they lose the same number, or just lose the ones who survived last time. Ahsoka slowly loses control of her powers, going deeper and deeper into the force (I’ll explain my force headcanon later). At first, using the dark side is completely accidental, maybe a desperate attempt to save someone. But she starts to notice it working, the only time she can save people without losing way more is when she uses the dark side. At first, she’s scared, she doesn’t want to fall like her master did, like barriss did, like so many Jedi have and will, so she fights back. Until a mission where everything goes wrong, off the wall insane, and she has no choice. She draws on the dark side, saves everyone. And then she starts using it more freely. After all, who would notice if one trade federation man ends up dead, from a broken neck? War is dangerous, and they have thousands of enemies. And who would care if a separatist tactician comes out of an interrogation babbling in terror, unspeakable fear behind their eyes, as long as they have data that can help the war?

Rex is more subtle. He doesn’t draw on the Force, he doesn’t have the risk of falling. But him and Ahsoka are connected in the Force. He grows more ruthless, more protective. He dips back into the tactics used by the rebels, gurellia warfare, infiltration and weakening tactics, and plans that are more concerned with protecting his own than worrying about civilian casualties or how the land is damaged, like firebombing runs. During prisoner transfers, he breaks a few bones when prisoners are rude. He doesn’t take shit from natborn officers, Jedi and non Jedi alike. The Togruta Jedi almost always at his side snarls whenever anyone tries to reprimand him, and complaints somehow always end up missing.

The turning point for both of them would probably be Umbara. Ahsoka’s not leaving Rex and his men alone with Krell after Anakin leaves, despite her telling him Krell's bad. She's mad, Rex is furious, both of them are stuck in a campaign thats hell. Ahsoka wasnt here last time, so she gets stuck a few times, and Rex is trying to save anyone he can. Ahsoka and krell are arguing over tactics, with rex on her side. When Krell threatens Fives (lightsaber from the episode), Ahsoka Force pushes him away. Both her sabers are out and she's glaring him down, standing in front of Fives. Rex has both blasters out and aimed at Krell. Nothing really happens, Krell just stands down and lets them continue, until his plan to take the capital happens. Ahsoka goes with the clones, against Krell's orders, and her and rex manage to save more men on the retreat. Fives, Hardcase and jesse go to blow up the ship, and when Krell tries to have them executed, ahsoka and rex dont let him. (i might write this out). When the time comes where Krell sends them out to kill the 212th troopers, Ahsoka stops it before they even can, but then another battalion comes through and tries killing both the 501st and 212th men. (probably luminara's men because barriss was there in the episode), and lots of ppl die. Instead of the clones going, Rex and Ahsoka go to confront Krell. he threatens to have Rex executed for something, to get ahsoka expelled for dark side and attachments. Keystone moment, and Ahsoka goes dark.

The troopers trudging back to the camp see the spinning lightsabers as Krell is thrown out of the building, and smaller sabers as Ahsoka follows. Rex jumps down, and is helped by Ahsoka to land perfectly, both attacking Krell. The 501st men are shocked, because Ahsoka is fighting like a completely different person. her fighting style is near feral, and the besalisk is genuinely struggling to keep up with her. Ahsoka gets him down, cuts two of his arms off. None of them say anything as Rex shoots Krell in the head. Ahsoka's eyes flash gold as Krell's body is dragged away.

So basically Ahsoka falls, and Rex follows her, because of their desperation to save people and stop the sith from taking over, from stealing so much from them. And the kicker? through this, they lose the family they were trying so hard to save.

Anyhoo that was my angst thot for Echos :)

Okay part 2 woooo :)

Now when Celestia meets Mahiru, it's a completely different story.

Mahiru was a bit intimidated at first when she saw Celestia from afar. However, after two seconds of sitting down with Celestia and Hiyoko during the tea party where Hiyoko introduced them to each other, Mahiru could see through Celestia and tell she wasn't that bad. Celestia tried to play the roll of the intimidating friends, going into "if you hurt her I'll-" kinda speeches, but Mahiru just smiled and agreed. It caught Celestia off guard a bit, if she was being honest, but she liked that, it meant Hiyoko was with someone who could handle themselves.

Conversations continue and they both observe each other, and Celestia is just thinking "she's alright... but is she really worthy?" Celestia then asks Mahiru about her talent, and Hiyoko interrupts the convo, gushing over Mahiru's camera skills. Mahiru gets a bit bashful and shows Celestia her photo album that she has with Hiyoko (like wow so many pictures of hiyoko, and the few of Mahiru herself usually have something like Hiyoko cuddling her or giving her a kiss on the cheek. Gays /lh) Celestia looks it over and does admit that Mahiru's skills with a camera are exceptional, to which Mahiru thanks her and offers to take a photos hoot of grand bois cheri for free since Hiyoko mentioned him a few times. As soon as Celestia hears that, she gets up from her seat, holds Mahiru by both hands and tells her "you have my blessing". Mahiru gets a little flustered and chuckles while Hiyoko is lyelling at her about stop embarrassing her and acting like her mom. Celestia then turns to Hiyoko and goes "I like her, she's a keeper, don't fuck this up" and Mahiru can't help but burst out laughing after she sees the look on Hiyoko's face.

Celestia continues to playfully tease them both as the proclaimed big sister figure despite them both being older than her, whenever Hiyoko tries to argue that Mahiru is just like "let her have this".

But yeah, they go on double dates with each other, they have a group chat where Hiyoko and Celestia send them picks of Grand Bois Cheri, and they are always there to support the other couple :)

Also one of the couples definitely adopts Kotoko, and the other becomes her cool aunts :)))))

1. What made you ship it?

A few things, but I'm just gonna choose a couple at random for this ajdnfjf.

For sure that Izzy isn't used to someone else caring or looking after him much, at least not anymore, and Roach Cares.

Yeah He's Mr. Meat's Meat while tossing around a knife, but he also worries abt the Swede during the scurvy episode (as do I. I'm so sorry Swede bby, the teeth SHOULD go back in) and, adding in that historically pirate cooks/docs usually were in that role due to their own injuries (maybe Roach having to sew his own arm back on?) and as such, for Roach, I figure that means he's probably a bit of a quiet background worrier. Abt the crew and supplies and anything else, but he's not gonna Say Anything and ultimately may let a metaphorical plate fall that he's holding up if fun presents itself (understandable and mood)

That's where they meet: Roach finally breaking and admitting yes he's worried he's Always fucking worried, Izzy! People depend on him, especially since the captain doesn't pay half any attention to food supplies, and that's heavy!

Izzy knows similar worries and pressure as the first mate, and he offers a place for Roach to vent those out instead of burying them. A safe spot to complain abt anything and anyone.

Roach gives Izzy a place too: a place to let his guard down and be looked after a little, in the way ppl do looking after each other (roach keeps coffee ready in the kitchen bc he knows izzy will pop in for more, and that he'll sit and chat and watch roach make lunch and think abt something other than work, at least until he offers to help out-tho that tends to turn into making out and ignoring the food on the counter lmao).

Like. a little den, they can meet and be safe together in, after they tunnel out from the stress of work, to put it like that.

2. Fave Things?

akdnfjgng So Many lol. Each fic I write with them is honestly just me trying to highlight another little bit of the ship that I love like.

One thing I've been trying to write and focus more on is that they can be themselves outside of their roles on the ship when they're together, but that they do have to actively work at that.

Like, yes, Roach loves making and sharing food with Izzy, but he also does want a night out at a nice restaurant. He's also absolutely itching to critique every bit of the meal tho. Izzy takes him out and holds his hand whenever he gets twitchy over the plating, and after insists on laying together and letting Roach nitpick the meal and service. He knows Roach still had fun, this is just the easiest way for him to show it at least for now.

Or for Izzy, how he's used to being Ed's intercom essentially and sending out info and orders and he'll stab whoever he needs to if Ed says jump, but occasionally a day off probably wouldn't be a bad thing. Takes ages for him to get even remotely used to the idea before Roach arranges a day for them to stop at a port and do just. Anything. For at least a few days, so Izzy doesn't get anxious abt wasting time and not 'doing enough.' Reminds him while they lay on the beach together that this is the Point of time away, to relax and not be treated like you would at work.

However, Roach knows that Izzy is like him and can only tear away so far from his work at present, so it turns into something like

Shopping, with them snagging souvenirs for the others in the form of things they actually need bc Izzy has the latest not finished crew shopping list memorized and he Wants to buy them stuff but he can't quite manage it to be something wholly fun and not otherwise useful (which Roach admits isn't the worst thing in the end, and besides that he gets to hang on Izzy's arm and enjoy the show while he argues with a vendor over the authenticity of the materials used in this knife set Jim might like. Jim will know if the knives are crap, damn it!)

3. Unpopular Opinion?

That I ship this at all is at least a little unpopular it seems like lol, but otherwise nothing comes to mindaksnkfgnjg

Hey! Ignore the ask about tory and miguel bc I think some things I said at the end might not be all true and my memory doesn't help that much bc it happened a year ago. I just don't want to spread false info. All I remember from prev years is that many ppl shipped toriguel and obv wanted them together. Robby was only shipped with Shawn. Idk how many ppl actually wanted queer rep or just Robby not being a threat to their ship. Again, don't post this and that ask bc I don't want to spread false information or to offend some ppl.

When I talked about fan service I was thinking about toriguel. Then I remembered that most ppl shipped Robby with Shawn and some wanted Tory to be queer.
