I don’t get how you’re a Rhaenyra fan but a Dany hater 🤨 like Rhaenyra committed a lot of atrocities in the end.
I don’t hate Dany! She’s smart, she’s funny, she’s got some of the best magical scenes in the series - she’s got some of the best scenes in the series, period, her last dragon fever dream in agot is like top 10 for me easy - and she’s a character that is conceptually similar to like, theon or ned or cersei in that she is really firmly rooted and informed by her past traumas, and I love characters like that from a writing standpoint. I have definitely talked more negatively about her bc it’s basically impossible to not be constantly inundated with takes i feel are just the most vapid or deranged or whatever takes in the world, but you can say that for anyone who feels anything at all about dany bc she is a very polarizing character! i think some of her narrative is frustratingly written, i do not mesh well with a large section of her fanbase, and i actively hate her show counterpart, but show dany is a vastly different character than book dany is (i mean just age alone, like with robb and jon, some of your sympathy evaporates bc they are too damn old to be acting this stupid). ultimately, a lot of the "hate" people think i feel for her is directed at what i feel are stupid opinions on her character or her show counter part's place in pop culture, or just like, normal analysis and critique that i do of every character in this series.
i will acknowledge that i tend to describe myself as "pro stark, pro blacks, pro smallfolk" so people know the general gist of what they're signing up for when they start interacting with me, but that is such a simple way of diluting all of my feelings for all of these characters. like "pro stark" in the sense that they are the most rational of the leaders we get in the main series, and have a connection to the land, people, and culture that is important, but i've pointed out plenty of times that robb's war is harmful to the people of the riverlands, regardless of whether he's justified or not, and i've been posting about how ned and cat fail to properly prepare their children (and the north in general) for Real World Politics, to the detriment of their kids. "pro stark" in the sense that i thought show dany wasn't just deranged from season 1 she was also wildly unlikable and nauseatingly stupid, you could see her "dark dany" turn coming from a mile away because these were not subtle writers interested in exploring why dany would decide "dragons plant no trees" and instead focused on her looking hot while she set shit on fire (same way they were less interested in looking at why jon failed as lord commander and had him be the action hero fighting at hardhome). definitely most of my aggravation at "dany" is at the show version, and while i do get why people feel that if you're a proponent of the "dark dany" theory that you're "anti" dany, but I am not anti book dany! i just think like rickon stark, shireen baratheon, jojen reed, aegon vi, etc she is very much doomed to die a very tragic death.
and i do not like characters based on how little atrocities they commit lmao, like, if i were to list my top 10 favorites, probably half of them have committed some extreme war crime. theon is a rapist! jaime is a shitty ass partner to cersei, a deadbeat dad despite living in the same building as his kids, and a failed child murderer! bran is mind raping hodor, understands on some level that what he's doing is morally repugnant, and keeps doing it anyway! pretty much every targaryen i like has committed some sex crime heinous enough to get them life + 25!! bobby b raised joffrey!!! i know i facetiously say shit like "rhaenyra did nothing wrong" but i'm well aware she's out here torturing people, same as like 75% of the characters we interact with in the whole series. so "rhaenyra commits atrocities" or "dany commits atrocities" is just not how i look at these characters (and not to get into stan wars here, but good lord, "rhaenyra commits atrocities" she is not the only or even the worst person in the dance! like 85% of these people suck and the ones who don't - which is limited to like, helaena, jace, nettles, and addam almost exclusively - either die or disappear because That's The Point. also, i was raised SDA alright, you gotta be a really compelling character for me to get past being super catholic, it's in my dna to be a spiteful hater of catholics!! catelyn stark is my one exception to this rule folks!!!!).
as to why i like rhaenyra - for one thing, saying that emma d'arcy is a better actor than emilia clarke is like saying cillian murphy is better than bradley cooper. they are just not on the same level lol. i definitely have my critiques of show!rhaenyra's writing but i also think she's miles better written than show!dany and her story is also more interesting because her writing is much less nonsensical. for another, i think book rhaenyra and book dany are wildly similar characters (for a reason!) meant to be in conversation with each other, and i very much enjoy what that conversation is saying about power, nobility, gender, sex, war, and identity. on a more technical level, while fire and blood is a mess writing and world building wise, the one thing it does better than the essos chapters (because it doesn't take place in essos, it takes place in westeros, and george struggles much less fleshing out "western poc" than he does "eastern poc" ya know) is that rhaenyra is not the only insight we get into the conflict. the people she loves, the people she rules, the people she harms, they all have a pov and a voice in a way that missandei, irri, jhiqui, rakharo, jhogo, grey worm, on and on, do not, the way that basically every single character that isn't westerosi except mmd (who was killed in book one) is not afforded. it's just a lot easier (as of right now) to talk about rhaenyra as a character because we have her beginning, middle, and end and the povs of people who hated her vs dany, we have the beginning and middle, a lot of arguing over what her end will be, and no one in the narrative as of yet who has even the barest criticism of her decisions besides cardboard cut out villainous slavers.
so like...no i do not hate dany, and i don't feel it's necessary to asterisk every post about rhaenyra with "i know putting a hit out on nettles and addam, locking the smallfolk into KL without easing their burdens of the war, positing herself as an exception to male line primogeniture instead of pushing for absolute primogeniture, and using torture on tyland and vaemond's family was fucked up, i acknowledge that she's flawed" when i talk about her, nor do i feel the need to defend my position on dany on the off chance one of her more annoying stans finds my posts and decides i hate women because i said i didn't like her sexual relationship with irri.

Thinking about starting a subreddit for people who want to find furniture, sports equipment, etc (anything but clothes) for people who are fat or tall or otherwise don't fit standard dimensions.
Basically 'consumer reports for people who are more than 250lbs and/or 6ft tall'
Reasons why subreddit:
allows people to post their own questions
allows for reasonable moderation already
gives pretty good SEO out of the gate
allows for tagging so people can filter posts
has decent search engine built in
allows for NSFW/18+ content with tags so questions about sex toys, etc can be asked
Rules I'm already thinking of:
Recommendations and questions both allowed, but no self-promotion on individual posts or maybe on one day a month or something (keeps down the spammers!)
Related: no surveys/market research
No diet talk at all
No judgement (about things that are usually disability related but get shamed, like 'best way to put on my socks when I have trouble bending over')
This is generally for goods, not services, so no asking about therapists, doctors, etc.
This is not a complaint forum, but you can post your personal negative experiences as an anti-recommendation on a question. (What I don't want: a post that's just 'I hate this company because of a single bad experience!' What I would be OK with: a post about yoga equipment where someone shares that their foam blocks from X company collapsed after a few uses)
Anyone else on Reddit interested in helping? Is this something that already exists elsewhere I can just join?

AITA for reporting fanfic on tumblr for sexual content when its untagged/not under a readmore?
I'm mostly asking this because I'm curious, and full disclaimer I am not anti- or pro-ship, I don't subscribe to shipping discourse at all, as long as it's tagged and warned correctly, go nuts show nuts.
I have a pet peeve about fanfic authors posting their 'x reader' fanfictions in main tags (I follow quite a few main tags). If the fanfic is properly tagged, it has warnings on the introduction regarding the content, and the main body of the fic is under a readmore, I don't touch it. It's easy to scroll by, it doesn't hurt anyone, I don't care. Obviously, there isn't a universal 'x reader' tag, or they would all be blocked by my tumblr filters automatically.
But when a write posts their fic with graphic sexual content, doesn't add the community warnings FOR sexual/mature content, and doesn't put it under a readmore, filling main tags with graphic sexual descriptions, I report that post for sexual content. I used to try sending anonymous asks to the writers, asking politely for them to use readmores or to at least use the community warning tags, but more often than not I've either been ignored or they replied rudely like "I don't think I should have to do that." More often than not, these writers have 'Minors DNI' in their bios too, but they're not actually tagging their fics so that minors (or anyone else who doesn't want to see that) don't see them when they go into main fandom tags. I think that when posting anything, it's important to tag it properly so that the people who don't want to see it aren't subjected to it. I've also blocked a load of these accounts because their fics were flooding my followed tags dashboard, but at some point I don't think that I should have to. I think that they should be marking their works properly.
So, to tumblr as a whole, am I the asshole for reporting explicit, untagged fanfiction for sexual content?
What are these acronyms?

i would also be interested in a post on the whole anti/proship topic, bc im also firmly in camp >can we buy some nuance here? no?< (tho i do have a "side" i lean more towards ig) so im defs interested in other ppl having opinions that fall outside the black/white view n talkin about it...bc i feel like lots of us either dont talk abt it both bc of the worry u mentioned abt getting backlash, or bc it just feels like talking to a wall bc nuance is ignored a lot...
my argument is just that “fiction affects reality” and “fiction doesn’t affect reality” both fail to address the issue. fiction is the product of reality, not the other way around. it represents pre-existing notions about the world, and must be evaluated for tonality and intent, not the mere presence of Bad Things
is this depiction of sexual abuse an endorsement of the behavior, or is it a dark erotic fantasy, written by a self-aware author? i don’t know, i would have to read it to find out. does this horror movie fetishize violence against minorities? perhaps, depending on who wrote it and who the intended audience was. is this loli/shota drawing the product of someone who seeks to abuse children, or does the artist just really like frilly dresses?
more importantly, how the fuck do we tell the difference?
well, we’ve gotta start applying media literacy skills to adult content. it’s not any different from anything else, aside from the guilt and shame factor. if we accept that depictions of murder and violence may or may not be problematic, then we have to accept the same truth about sex. not all stories function as self-insert wish-fulfillment, erotica included—but erotica can tell us something about an author’s relationship with sex in the same way that horror can tell us something about an author’s relationship with gore and violence
how and why people consume this content varies, and may or may not be healthy. regardless, we don’t evaluate fiction based on how it may “affect reality.” not even propaganda, the mind-changer of fiction, is that simple; it appeals to pre-existing biases and pre-existing notions because, again, fiction is a product of reality. not the other way around.
you can’t really defend the idea that “everyone who depicts [x] is endorsing [x] and attempting to normalize [x] and is therefore evil” because it’s neither universally true nor productive. you also can’t defend the idea that fiction is utterly divorced from reality, because artists and writers live in reality, and reality influences their art
i hate to say this, but when it comes down to it, i personally don’t give a shit if someone ships wincest or has a ddlg fetish or whatever. maybe they’re a horrible monster or maybe they just have a run-of-the-mill erotic fascination, i don’t know. i don’t feel the need to pass final judgement on individual strangers, even if they make me uncomfortable. i’m more interested in advocating for 1.) ethical, enforceable rules about tagging and filtering sensitive and/or adult content 2.) systems that prevent real-life abuse without reducing it to an evil subtype of person and 3.) the case-by-case application of media literacy skills to the aforementioned adult content, which can absolutely perpetuate all sorts of alarming ideas about sex & abuse

Regarding E’s post about Taylor Swift...
No offense, but who are you to say that? Like, let people have their fun. Who are they hurting by adding Taylor Swift to their soukoku playlists and posting about her songs/lyrics in relation to them? If it annoys you—don’t interact with it. Scroll past, press not interested/dismiss depending on the platform you’re on, filter tags/key words, block people (Blocking was made to allow people to curate their timelines and not see content they don’t want, it doesn’t mean the blocker has some sort of agenda against the person they blocked, like many people love to pretend). All these alternatives are a million times better than being mean about it. As a placeholder for blocking, you can also filter out someone’s username on Tumblr and it’ll hide all their posts from your dash the same way filtering a tag would. There are so many ways to avoid this without posting about it and spreading negativity.
If you disagree with someone in regard to a song fitting a ship (or anything fandom related, really), that’s completely okay. That’s your opinion, and you are entitled to it. What you’re not entitled to is shaming the person for it and telling them what they are and aren’t allowed to do.
Some Taylor songs genuinely fit them very well, in my opinion. Yes, also in my opinion, not all the songs people claim do actually fit them. But in their opinion the songs do, and who am I to tell them they’re wrong? My opinion isn’t in any way superior to theirs. And I’m not about to tell people what to think, or how they can interpret relationships, or what songs they’re allowed/not allowed to have in their relationship playlists. It’s not my place to. It’s not anybody’s place to.
It’s the same way the problem with the Chuuya hate page isn’t that they hate Chuuya, but instead that they’re unnecessarily loud and mean about it. Of course, I’m not trying to say that you’re “the same” or anything, because what the Chuuya hate page is doing is a thousand times worse than this, but this is the beginning of what evolves to be posts like theirs.
Not to mention that this whole mindset of “Stop making everything about X”/“Stop throwing X at everything” is rooted in ableism. What if an autistic person has Taylor as their special interest and they can’t help make everything about her? Heck, what if they have soukoku and Taylor Swift as special interests simultaneously and combining the two brings them unrestrained joy? Why should that bother you?
As an autistic person, I’m really tired of people telling me to stop making everything about my special interests. It’s genuinely out of my control, and I don’t understand why my happiness annoys them so much.
Please don’t take this as hate. The whole reason I sent this is because I like this blog, and I like to believe you’re mature enough to understand what I’m saying and where I’m coming from. Thank you for taking the time to read this <3
Hey I'm sorry that my post was read as being mean, I didn't mean for it to come across as anti-Taylor Swift. I do have my own issues with her but her music is good and I don't have a problem with people thinking a few of her songs fit whoever.
And also I'm not talking about actually explaining why you think a song fits them, that's cool as fuck. Analysis is great I love character analysis, especially if you talk about songs that represent the character and why.
Now respectfully, I think you are reading into a post too much but you did send me a well formatted ask so i'll by paragraph.
Who am I to say that? It's a take, I can have those and I wasn't shaming anyone. I said Taylor Swift makes good music but it doesn't fit everything. Which is true.
Please do not compare me to the Chuuya Hate Page as what she does is entirely different and my saying not everything works with Taylor Swift is so far away from being a bigoted shithead.
I'm not going to say much on the ablism but do know that I am also autistic. I understand where you are coming from but you also have to understand that sometimes special interests can clash. I said what I did because most of the "this Taylor Swift song fits them so well!!" is full of mischaracterization and it pisses me off because bsd is my special interest.
So, I'm not telling anyone specifically to stop doing what makes them happy, I made a very short post where I didn't even say anyone was doing anything bad. I said Taylor Swift doesn't need to be for everything.
Having said all that I do appreciate that you took the time to explain why exactly that post upset you and that's valid, however I am allowed to post whatever takes I want and you don't have to agree with me.

How do you block and filter fics with rampant racist micro aggression since that's never tagged properly and the writer will have a white meltdown if they're ever confronted with the fact their fic is racist?
I honestly can’t tell if this was in earnest or if it’s meant to be another Gotcha! Attempt from one of the anti-censorship posts I’ve annoyed people with, so I’m going to assume it’s the first and do my best to answer.
As a white woman, I am definitely not someone who should be speaking on racism, since the systemic issues I deal with are very very different.
Unfortunately, though, your experience with such a fic is going to mirror what I’d imagine is also your experience with most other forms of media which don’t flag that kind of behavior: bail. Back out. Don’t finish the thing that is upsetting you. Possibly, (as I’ve done with authors on issues that hit home for me) take note of who’s behind the thing so you know to avoid them in the future, as they’ve broken that trust.
This is also known as curating your space. I don’t remember if I go on that rant in the other two (three?) posts that seem to have picked up, but that’s the READER’s side of the equation. Find your garden and tend it well, keep it how you like it, because it is for you and you alone.
My job as a writer is to tag to the best of my ability so you know exactly what you’re bringing into your garden. I don’t want to spoil your flowers anymore than I want someone to trample on mine.
Hopefully, as people talk about this more, authors will be more open to tagging/ modifying and/or adding a footnote for things exactly like this.
Micro aggressions are especially difficult, since (again, pulling purely from my lived experiences) getting folk to agree on what ‘counts’ is rough. But as an author— I want to share my stories. That’s the point! If I’ve written it, then I damn well better be self-aware enough to tag it, and be willing to ADD TAGS so I’m not breaking trust with the people I’m trying to give nice things to. Hopefully that makes sense?
I’m gonna say that again since I feel it needs it: if you’re comfortable enough to write the Real World problem happening, you’re fully capable of being able to recognize why someone might like the warning. Be kind. Tags only work if you use them.
On AO3, I believe they recently made it possible to block an author entirely, so they no longer show up in the results for your searches.
I’ve run across exactly one author I’d have blocked if it was possible at the time, because he refused to add tags to a story that… really needed tags. And, going through the comments in later chapters, dozens of people have asked him to update tags. He claims that doing so will ‘ruin the story’ despite the graphic raped-to-death-then-magically-revived bit having literally nothing to do with the plot at all. Instead, it comes out of literally nowhere in an otherwise really well written tale, and was deeply deeply upsetting to the point that his response to my first chapter squee was “yeah, tell me if you still like it after chapter X”. (Unfortunately i am a very fast reader and had already gotten that far and bailed immediately. Dude if you KNOW it’s THAT upsetting to so many people ADD THE TAG.)
I’ll never read anything he’s written again, just like I refuse to read anything by JKR ( awful human) or Terry Goodkind (I can’t stand how he handles his female characters. At all.)
Obviously these two examples are not identical, but it’s the main comparison I have on hand.
This isn’t meant to sound like I’m belittling or downplaying that concern at all. But until people get better at tagging—and I really wish traditional books and other media would ALSO tag, because I’m very very tired of running into Specific Things without any fucking warning— you have to protect yourself and your happy place by putting up a fence, and booting unsavory things right back over it.
—side note: for those worried about spoiling the plot you can…skip the tags... just know you’re choosing to walk in blind. OR! And I wish i could figure it out—you can add! A hyperlink! That takes you to the footnote at the BOTTOM to add things that deserve a warning but might be spoilers! There’s even a tag for that! ‘More tags in notes!’ These are good and useful things! Use them so your readers can better curate their spaces!—
The system isn’t perfect by any means. There are a million ways to improve, and we’re trying! But please, please y’all use the damn tags because right now it’s the only system we’ve got. Take care of each other.

not to like, hop on the fuck tumblr train that’s been going around but choo choo motherfuckers i have an idea for a social media platform that will be completely feral. if you know coding (bc i do not) and you want to actually genuinely help with this let me know!! because i think i have something fun here.
at the beginning of the most recent wave of stupid updates that tumblr has so wonderfully (/s) supplied us, and when twitter became x, i realized that there’s kind of a gap in the market of a genuinely good social media platform and i was split between two options in my head.
Orbital, a “serious” social media platform that would have a lot of themes around space and take itself seriously as a genuine competitor for the virtual black hole that x and instagram and facebook has left over the last few years.
or Foolery, a less serious social media platform that would not take itself seriously and lean into the fuckery that is tumblr and twitter and somehow combine them, with themes around the circus and other performative careers.
can you guess which one i want to do?
(Foolery, it’s Foolery. i am obsessed with this stupid idea.)
so, i have put some thought into this. like, not a lot, but more than none! here is a few of the basics that i have thought about:
The sign-in/sign-up page would have a randomized slogan from a list of however many we come up with. ‘Welcome to the show’, ‘a place for tricks and treats’, ‘a place filled with shenanigans’ etc
Home Icon - a big top circus tent, where you would end up doom scrolling content. this would have two different modes, similar to tumblr, it would default to chronological, but you could also chose to participate in an algorithm.
Profile Icon - a clown nose, on desktop every time you click on it, it honks like a clown nose does. view your account here.
Creating a post would be called ‘Create an Act’ with different forms available—text, picture, video, poll, etc. the icon for this would be a quill.
Followers would be labeled as the Audience, which would be toggle-able, by default this is set to private, which means that only the owner of the account would be able to see the number, but can be turned public. There would also be an option to just list your Troupe, which would be your mutuals.
There are three admin accounts—Tom, Foolery, and Tomfoolery. Foolery is the publicity, Tom is the cryptid user that appears randomly to comment on peoples post, and Tomfoolery is updates, polling, feedback, etc.
Tickets are notifications as a whole—how many interactions with the post there are, whether that’s likes (peanuts), reposts (unnamed, maybe just reposts ¯\_(ツ)_/¯), comments, etc.
Peanuts are likes. It means you enjoyed the Act (post). maybe feeds the algorithm.?
Golden Tickets are similar to blaze—you can use a Golden Ticket to boost an Act, whether it’s your own or another person’s, so it shows up as a recommended Act for more people in the same fandom/side of Foolery.
now onto the even less thought out ideas, but things that have been on my mind:
I want there to be a tagging system similar to tumblr, but a filtering system similar to ao3? idk if that makes sense, but my basic thoughts are: +tags are used to add to a certain tag and can be searched using that tag. -tags are used to exclude that tag, and can be used to avoid the tag itself. (ex. a post tagged with ‘+steddie’ would be able to be searched using the tag, but a post tagged ‘-steddie’ would specifically be excluded from that tag, but still used as a kind of ‘content warning’ type thing, like ‘-tw blood’ or something similar)
Tragedy/Comedy masks? idk what for, but i think they’d be fun.
Jester Hat - used to signify ‘official’ accounts? i doubt companies or celebrities would use Foolery because obviously but like. just in case, we can publicly shame them for using the literal clown app.
porn. nudity. whatever. nsfw SAFE babes. all your porn is welcome.
anti-ai sorry not really lol
and that’s all the thinking i’ve done about it. but like. i think it would be fun to create, i just don’t have the knowledge nor the resources to actually create a website or app. and if you couldn’t tell, it’s definitely slightly inspired by tumblr minus all of the bs that it’s doing lmao.
so. dm me ig? if you wanna do anything with this? i warn you now: idk what i am doing. i don’t have a discord set up or anything. and! nothing will probably come out of this. however!! it might be a fun project to fuck around with. my roommate is trying to learn coding and one of my closest online friends is in college for it, but i know nothing about it whatsoever and i think that we three people cannot do this alone.

All due respect but please shut the fuck up about the Harry Potter TV series. Please stop making shitposts in general. Like you're so infuriatingly annoying it makes me want to rip my hair out with my bare hands. Like flipping through your shitposts is like shovelling shit down my throat. You don't want to interact with followers but are on Tumblr writing shitposts encouraging people to interact with others. You're now telling us not to watch the Harry Potter series because that suddenly makes us all anti trans. Honey, we are not an extension of JK btw. We don't support her. Does writing Aegon x OC fic make you a rape apologist? No, it doesn't. So stop projecting onto us. Hogwarts is sacred territory for a lot of people and offers comfort and hope. It's an idea but not a reality
So just please shut the fuck up for once in your life
Tumblr media
Hope that helps! You can also blacklist my name through New XKit and/or the Tumblr Block/blacklist settings:
and then in New XKit:
Tumblr media
I really hope that helps curate your experience so you aren't upset on the internet and are able to practice self-restraint outside of your group chat.
Thanks!

i think you need to understand that fandom coincides especially on tumblr.com. this is a tagging based algorithm and i don’t blame people for trying to get engagement on things they work on. while yes it may be annoying to see a subset of fandom in a tag, it’s not outrageous. take the harry potter tags for example. there’s barely any actual harry content. and i’m sure it’s like that in most other fandoms too.
listen, i don’t enjoy everything in all the tags i follow but that’s just kind of how it goes. until tumblr finds a way to make tagging more niche we just have to co-exist. acting as though the fics in the tags are a hinderance when in reality they’re just a natural to come across ever so often isn’t productive.
again, i’m not trying to be rude. i hope you find what you’re looking for in the fandom.
"Harry Potter" is a name fandom, of course people use it to tell others that that post belongs to harry potter universe. And even in that we have now other sub-classification, for example I am a fan of Severus Snape so I tag my post in the "Snapedom".
Forgive me but no. I don't think you are trying to engage people when you clearly misstag things. Only thing you do is make people annoyed and irritated at you. In the example I made I understand, barely but I mean I can see it, if you tag "Tom Blyth"... I mean he is the actor that play Billy the kid. People may kow him from Snow, may take interest in him, and go and watch all his filmography... It's okay, more or less.
But Coriolanus Snow... He is not Billy the kid. Why do you think someone who is a fan of Snow want to see Billy the kid content? Again, a fan of the actor may want to see it, that I can understand. But "Coryo x reader" tag in a "Billy the kid x reader" story?! That's just rude. Only rude. (Also this tells me that the author can not even see the characters as the characters, but only as an actor with a pretty face, which is... Ugh. But this is for another rant).
But again, I understand that maybe it is a me problem. That's why I tagged "rant" in my post. It's my rant. Maybe others are okay with this, I don't know (maybe someone can tell me?). The only experiences i have with misstag was in the harry potter fandom and in the Snapedom when is extabilished that is rude to tag "severus snape" if you make an anti-post, and it's better tag "anti-snape" so the Snape fan can filter out your content (and the same on the other side, you tag "pro-snape" so the anti doesn't engage if they knew they can not be civil). That's my only experience.

Hi. That one user who replied to your post about proshipping is dead wrong. Full stop.
I’d suggest going onto Fanlore (a creditable source!) and researching for yourself, but I’d also like to help explain.
Proship means you’re in favor of shipping. Like how people are pro-choice, or pro-life, or pro-gun. The pro- in proship is NOT short for, and does NOT stand for, problematic. Otherwise pro-choice would be problematic-choice and that doesn’t make sense? Pro- as in for. For the right to choose. Vs anti. Anti-abortion. Anti-gun. Anti-ship.
Proship means “ship and let ship.” It means you don’t harass other people for liking things different to you because everyone is different and has different likes and dislikes. Maybe you like fluff (for example) but someone else likes angst. You may not understand why they do, but it’s just as valid as your love for fluff. Or like A likes pineapple on pizza but you like pepperoni. Or I like cilantro but you think it tastes like soap. Fandom is a big pizza party and we all have things we like and things we don’t. That includes age gap ships, toxicity, rape/non-con, incest, violence, what have you.
When you judge someone for what they like (like that person, who can’t even type out what they despise) you open yourself up for judgement. Proship... doesn’t do that. If you like X and I don’t like X, that has nothing to do with me. You can like X and I can like Y and we can still get along because there’s more to us as individuals than just liking one thing. Antis/antishippers don’t seem to understand that.
Antis think you are what you eat (“oh you like age gap? You pedo. You groomer! Ew you like yandere? Abuse apologist—no I don’t care if you survived that, you’re still bad for liking it. You like non-con? You’re a literal rapist, even if you’ve never touched anyone or are a survivor. You like incest? Again, don’t care if you survived it but I bet you wanna fuck your IRL sister too, huh? You freak! KYS!”) because they attach morals to their consumption of fiction. But the funny thing is liking only wholesome shit hasn’t made them any nicer. It just makes them feel morally superior.
It’s worth noting proship was the default stance in fandom. People shipped what they liked and didn’t care what others did because it had nothing to do with them. If you found something weird and it made you uncomfortable, you just closed the tab. Hit the back button. And that’s what proship is. Proship is also tagging properly so if people do have problems with certain subjects, they don’t have to see it. If I can’t stand rape/non-con, for example, I’m not going to click on a fic tagged “rape/non-con” if I even see it because I know it’ll only hurt me. But a work tagged r*pe/n0n-c0n won’t be filtered out so I will see it and it’ll hurt me because the author thought they were helping by censoring but they didn’t.
Again, please please please do research. Don’t just take the word of a stranger who throws emotionally-charged buzzwords to sway you into their favor. Please. And that goes for this ask too. If you don’t believe or want to believe me, I implore you to do your research and decide for yourself.
Thanks for your time!
oh wow, thank you for putting the time to respond to my post I appreciate it. I'm not going to add my take on it, but i will do some research on it. but thank u love!!

Said in this household today, paraphrased, as I can't remember exactly what was said: My fiance / common law hubby talking about a Youtuber he was watching: *Describes the guy's background as a comic book shop owner* "Unfortunately, he's a Trumper - so there's...that, but he knows comics. Keeps his politics *mostly* out of things, but it comes up sometimes." *Talks about how the guy rants about how some of the film adaptations don't keep to source material.* Me and my guy: *Both agree on some stuff about how progressive storytelling is fine if it is not forced / tokenism.* (I'm very progressive...and female... but I really don't like stuff in media that is *obviously* only there as a token. One can tell the difference between organic storytelling and "rammed in for a buck." SOMEHOW this lead into a conversation about how the '90s X-Men comics had, in terms of gay characters, a pair of brothers "who were into each other" ??? (Not something I'm sure of, and not an anti-gay statement, just a bit of comics-trivia). Cue me going: "Okay, I have a RANT about Trigun-fandom!" My guy starts laughing. "Plantcest!" He's into Trigun, too, I got him into it, but he's not into the online creative fandom currently. (He wrote some fanfiction back in OG fandom back in the day, some of it gifts to me, but he doesn't have the time to do fanfiction anymore). I was *sigh* "It was always there, [mutual enemy] was into it for a bit," bringing back some bad memories that he might have forgotten because [mutual enemy] was more into and belligerent about another ship, but I said now, with Stampede? Given some of the weird metaphyscial stuff between Vash and Knives there? "Some fans are taking it as mutual. If you go to Archive of our Own, it's the second most popular ship. So many Explicit-rated fics and some of them are just... (beyond just incest) just... super weird." Cue me describing some...interesting fetish tags. And how I have read a few out of curiosity. It's wild. Sort of warning him off of most of Ao3 for the fandom because he's more kink-averse than I am (and I'm the one who actually openly identifies as an asexual!) I'm kind of going... "Oh, good lord, the Plantcest in this fandom!" *and how I have the tag blocked.* For those viewing this blog / post... I do warn, I am very against Plantcest / Twincest (at least as a mutual thing / kink). It's a gives me the heebie jeebies thing. I am not going to harass people over it or call people terrible for liking it. It's just... not my thing. I've got tags blocked on here. It's just... I get a little annoyed that I have to filter a lot on Ao3 to find stories I will like because it's the second most popular ship. My complaint isn't that it exists so much as it's like my complaint about how Mexican-American restaurants want to put guac on everything when we don't like guac and we have to specify "no guac."

The Inazuma Eleven fandom almost has no engagement when it comes to their fanfiction. This blog is dedicated to remedy this by reblogging them in one place to make it easier for anybody to find the stories that they want conveniently. You may even find new fanfictions and pairing/poly ships that interests you as you scroll through!
This blog exists not only to promote fanfiction solely by reblogging, but also to act as an archive for the ones posted in tumblr! This will be run majorly by queues from posts found from variations of the inazuma eleven fanfiction tags so please be patient! This blog does not accept submissions of posts nor does it make an own post promoting any fanfiction!
You are highly encouraged to tag this blog on any posted writing pieces! Make sure it's either a link to an existing story or a post of the written piece itself please! Drabbles are accepted and will be tagged as such.
Non-fanfiction tags to filter out if you only want the archives: #ief mod talks, #inazuma eleven fandom events, #ief writing prompt rb, #inatober 2023, #inatober 2023 fanart, and for everything at the same time: #not ief
Now, let's review the following:
1. This blog will not reblog posts that:
are not inazuma eleven and anything related to any of the inazuma eleven games, manga, and any seasons of the anime series (crossovers are allowed here!!)
are just detailing WIPs or explaining how a story would go (unless there's a link to the story with at least one chapter)
have adult x minor ships
are romantasizing grooming (relationships w/ 2 year age gaps are not grooming!!)
have ships where they're both adults but the older have known the younger one when they were still a minor while they're already an adult
are romantasizing rape / are noncon and dubcon
are character bashing
have smut of characters 17 years old and below -> I understand that most of these may be created by people the same age as the characters but since it brings me discomfort, I will not be reblogging them here
are dead doves without the relevant warning tags (dead doves that are not anything above are alright as long as they're tagged)
ARE PIECES MADE BY AI!! OF ANY KIND!!!!!!
2. Please TELL ME if I reblogged anything from above!! (I'll delete it)
3. Please do not:
repost another person's work and claim it as yours obviously
tag this blog for anything outside of fanfictions or fandom events
send me hate mail (it will be deleted idc)
use the ask / any own posts here (if there will be any) for pro/anti shipping discourse
send discomforting messages or very personal questions
write hateful things or criticism (unless asked by the author) on someone's work when you reblog
4. Please do:
REBLOG the fanfiction you like in your blog for it to gain traction!! This is the only way you can encourage your favorite writers to write more!!
COMPLIMENT THE WRITER when you like their writing!! The more you write in the tags/reblog/their ask box, the more you can make them happy!!
SEND THE WRITERS ASKS about their stories! I promise they will love you forever!
SUPPORT and BOOST your writers anyway you can, unless you want fanfictions to disappear forever :)
TELL ME if you do not want your work shared by this blog! No reason is too small for your discomfort!!
5. You are highly encouraged to filter the tags that is a spoiler to you or brings you discomfort! Here are the ones this blog will be using:

What is with this HOTD fandom?! Never have I ever been part of a fandom that attacks each other the way this one does. I have never seen “fans” as malicious, cruel, and relentless as the ones in the HOTD fandom! It’s insane. Vicious people are running content creators into the ground or off Tumblr or ao3 completely simply because they don’t like a certain ship, or trope, or tag, or dynamic, or a certain character etc etc. Its like the thought process is “I don’t like x, y, or z so instead of simply ignoring that content and not reading it, I’m going to make this everyone’s problem and find the people that make this content and harass them as much as possible. I’m also going to find as many ppl to help me gang up on this person and destroy them! You like something I don’t so that makes you bad. You don’t think the way I do so you need to be dealt with!” Like come on y’all, so you don’t like smut, or fluff, or lucemond, or rhaenicent, or character x reader, or modern fics, or dead dove, or enemies to lovers, or alpha/omega, or bottom/top, or you hate Lucerys, or Aemond, or rhaenyra, or daemon, or Jace, or the Blacks, or the Greens or whatever there may be, like no one cares! No one cares you don’t like something in fandom! What happened to “ship and let ship?” If you don’t like something, that’s fine, that’s great, I hope you are able to find all content you do like, but you don’t have a free pass to trash other people! Just ignore it, don’t read that story, block that specific creator if you want, just move on and find the stuff you do like. Why do these ppl feel the need to turn into a vicious pack of hyenas, relentlessly attacking content creators, literally running them off with death threats and doxxing etc etc like damn y’all! You just experienced this a few days ago with an “anon” who turned out to be a username I recognized and have seen around for a long time. And here they are acting the way they did. Like what?!
HOTD isn’t real! It’s fiction! It can be whatever people want it to be, people can use whatever trope they want, completely random ships between completely nonsensical characters can exist, a story can be set in the Amazon or freaking space, a story can be the sweetest, fluffiest story to ever exist or it can be the strangest, darkest, most messed up thing you’ve ever read and that’s fine! It’s fine! Surround yourself with what you do like and just let other people live, why is that so hard?! So sorry for my rant, I had to get that out
FUCKING PREEEACH ANON, SAY IT LOUDER! Please please please rant as much as you wish, darling. 🗣🗣🗣
No you literally said EVERYTHING there was to be said about this fandom. I joined the fandom a day or two after the series ended, on October 2022 and BELIEVE me when I tell you that the fandom has gone completely deranged by now. I don’t like blaming anyone in particular, but I kind of have the feeling these big accounts that are always in the centre of some drama are the cause of the toxicity lingering in the fandom :/
I mean, I for example don’t like certain ships like Lucemond. It makes me feel so uncomfortable and off, and you know what I did? I filtered the tag, blocked some people on those tags, and went on with my life. I live and let live. I never even harassed someone or commented on their posts against their likings. This one big account that also started a huge ass drama recently was telling everyone to stop writing for bimboism because its anti-feminist or something — LIKE EXCUSE ME???? You don’t like something and you are making it EVERYBODY ELSES problem? Naur. And its worse when they send a troop of minions to attack and stupidly doxx... damn. I wouldn’t even be surprised if you already saw on other occasions the user harassing me previously... 🙄
I don’t like the concept/trope bimboism either and I never even considered on writing about it. But does that give me the right to tell everyone to stop writing for it because I simply dislike it? No, not at all! Because its also the right of other people to read and write for whatever they enjoy the most. Yes, she has her right to have her own opinion on her blog — but this shouldn’t apply only to a certain group of people! As far as I’m concerned, there’s something called freedom of speech; meaning we can all say and like whatever the fuck we want, unless you want to establish a mediocre social media dictatorship.
I also love how their friends stick up to them while they pretend to be on a hiatus to victimise themselves further. This one friend of them told a mutual "you will stand down" and "you will not win this" like the CLOWNING in here is real. Babygirl you are arguing against strangers online for a fucking fanfic trope, we aren’t in the middle of some medieval battlefield, wdym??? 😭😭
And also they blamed this same mutual telling her that she’s been harassing this one account for over a year (the big account mentioned previously that she had never seen my mutual before or something like that, and they never even talked before this???) even if the drama is recent, and said that... The drama was triggering the miscarriage this account had like a year ago. I swear to God this is too much to handle and it too sad. Especially to bring such tragic personal event like a miscarriage to put the weight on somebody else for an online argument about fictional tropes.
You literally said everything about this. I can’t believe we have to argue about this. And then the friend of a mutual said that its the right of the big account to have her own opinion but they aren’t respecting the opinions of others? Like damn just block people and filter tags, man. I don’t know what to tell you, because why would the world stop merely because you don’t like something and then everyone is like "OOO ESOKEEE🥺" to immediatly boost their ego by hating on other people going against what they say.
yk what, nonnie? You are absolutely fucking right. HOTD is fictional and we can do whatever the hell we want. And we shouldn’t be scared of speaking up. I’m tempted to publish my drafted post about this because I’m sick and tired of having to walk on knife edge just to not be harrassed. Thank you for the rant!

One of my mutuals put an anti-ao3 post on my dash and I'm pretty dissapointed by it. Like I look at the rhetoric that's being used and can't help but draw comparisons to purity culture, right wing fascism, and the current anti LGBT and censorship push. Just because it's coming from the left doesn't mean it isn't the same things. The leopards will eat your face at the end of the day too.
First off, AO3 is an archive. Content being hosted does not mean any moral endorsement. There is no algorithm to push certain content, it is community driven. So if you're tempted to say "this website supports x" maybe recognize that the archive is acting as a library. If a fandom community consistently likes and writes content that makes you uncomfortable, then maybe take issue with the fandom or even source content if applicable.
Look, censorship is very, very bad. Claiming something is problematic and "not safe for those poor children" because it has racist language is the same argument that gets books like To Kill a Mockingbird and Huckleberry Finn banned. This is also the same argument that's being used right now to ban all books even mentioning anything LGBT. There will always be something problematic in any work of art or fiction, and claiming that it shouldn't exist because of that, or because it makes someone uncomfortable, is a dangerous slope that does not go where you want it to.
Censorship is not okay, yes even when it's the "left" doing it.
While I'm talking about it, the whole point of tags is to give users the maximum ability to control what content they see. Don't want any sexual content? Easy, filter it out. Really don't like a pairing because it's "problematic"/makes you uncomfortable, fantastic! Filter it out. Dead dove don't read. You do not need to subject yourself to anything you don't want to read or experience. Content is expected to be tagged appropriately. If you see explicit racism and it's not tagged, you can report that! It won't get that user suspended unless they repeatedly fail to tag it, but that is something you can and should complain about.
The other argument that constantly gets thrown around is claiming that AO3 hosts "child porn". It doesn't. Period. It's illegal and explicitly against their terms of service. Fiction is not reality. No children are being harmed.
Sometimes I'll see people discuss fic with underage teen characters having sex and they'll be calling the author a pedophile, meanwhile the author is the same age as the characters. Are we saying no one under the age of 18 should ever think or talk or write about sex with characters that are their age? Should we instead insist that a 14 year old only write about sex between people in their 30s?
Also, you are expected to be 13 years or older to join AO3. There are no 8 year olds stumbling around looking at porn of their cartoon characters anymore than there are on any other website. Age restrictions are hard to enforce, but that isn't AO3s job beyond what they already do. They provide plenty of warnings and lock content as best as they can. They are an adult space and are set up as one.
Liking something in fiction does not mean liking or endorsing it in reality. Someone who likes reading about princesses does not necessarily endorse modern monarchy. Someone who likes reading about dubious consent does not necessarily endorse or like dubious consent in reality. The same goes for every squick, "problematic" ship aspect, or content written. Reading dark things does not make someone evil. There are no thought crimes. Reeevalute the culturally Christian, purity mindset. Sometimes people enjoy reading fucked up things. It does not affect or harm you in any way.
Anyway, the current censorship push, no kink at pride, right wing fascists, and TERFs all use the same arguments and rhetoric. I'm begging people to recognize it when they see it.

About Me & The Blog!
Hi! My name is Misha (he/him). I’m a queer Russian artist and writer [art & writing tag: #misha’s creative stuff; original characters/stories tag: #misha’s original stuff]. Born in February 10, 2004. I’m also an atheist and likely neurodivergent.
I also like The Owl House. I have an AU [tag: #retired leaders au]! It’s focused on Belos, Steven (the AU version of Steve), Hunter and Kiki, aka the Wolf Fam, and they’re the characters with the most significant changes. More info about the AU can be found under the #rlau info tag. It’s a good uncle AU btw.
Small summary: The Day of Unity turned out to be a massive disaster, and once Belos finally returned from being stuck in the Human Realm with Hunter and the Hexsquad, he publicly admitted to his lies and resigned. The other highest ranking members of the EC - Hunter, Steven and Kiki - left with him, hence the AU’s name, and the Empire dissolved.
Some more info about the AU can be found in this post. I’ll make a proper, better structured info post eventually.
[Edit]: Since I changed my username, the link in the long thread no longer works. Here is the updated link.
If you’d like to ask anything, whether it’s about me or my content, or if you just want to say something to me, feel free to send an ask!
I have a positivity tag: “#positivity”, and I’ll link it here if you wanna scroll through it.
I’m not really into n$fw content, but some (mostly mild) stuff might show up, mainly in text form or character dialogue. I tag non graphic/less graphic stuff with “#cw: suggestive”, and more graphic stuff with “#nsft stuff”, though I’m not 100% sure on where the line is for me.
(I also try to tag triggers, generally with “#cw: [thing]”, like “cw: flashing” or “cw: blood”, and some are censored like “cw: sui mention” and “cw: sa mention”. If there’s anything you’d like me to tag, send me an ask)
A few more things, in no particular order:
Do not repost/reupload people’s art without permission. If you like an artist’s work and want to have it on your blog, press the “reblog” button (the recycle looking button). If you want to share it on a different platform, just don’t, unless the artist gives you permission. Or just post a link to the work instead of the work itself!
And stop with the “idk who made it, I found it on Google” bs - don’t post the work you found, and if you want to share it, do reverse image search and find the author and share their work the proper way instead of stealing. Have the bare minimum of respect for the creator.
“Do not repost” also applies to downloading someone’s work, tracing or editing it, and then posting that version. It’s fine to trace art as a form of study/learning, but only if you either keep it to yourself and don’t post it, or you get the artist’s permission to post the traced/edited version.
Please tag your ships when you post content with them. It helps people who like it find it, and helps people who dislike it avoid it by filtering the tag. This includes “OC x canon” stuff (tag the specific OC/ship btw, not just “OC x canon”), “s3lf insert x canon”, and I’d say especially “x read3r”, or frankly, any kind of read3r insert stuff, even if it’s not ship.
Pr0shippers will get blocked. “Pr0shippers/anti-antis/c0mship/pr0fic” or whatever you call yourselves, get out. If you treat p3do and inc3st relationships as some kind of “cute/fun tropes”, or you willingly associate with people who do, I want nothing to do with you. This includes people who ship distant relatives (you are still shipping relatives and doing so knowingly)
No, this does not mean I’m some kind of puritan who doesn’t want dark topics to ever be touched on in media, it just means I think they shouldn’t be watered down into a “cute/fun trope” and should be approached with sensitivity.
If you’re an exclusionist, you’re not welcome here. This includes people who tag “queer” as “q slur”, as well as label and pronoun policers. There will be people whose identities you don’t understand, and that’s fine, leave them alone. Stop doing our oppressors’ work for them. Queer discourse also comes and goes every few months and it’s always the same “trust me bro my exclusionism is totally legit this time bro this group of queer people is totally evil and harmful bro just trust me”
“Tme/tma” (transmisogyny exempt/affected), are meaningless labels that do nothing but cause infighting within the trans community about who has it “worse”, or who has “privilege”, when no one does. A violent anti-trans bigot is not going to ask your pronouns before assaulting you if they perceive you as trans (or any kind of queer). Drop the labels if you use them. Also read this post by an intersex person.
If you attack people for criticizing cops, billionaires, large corporations, etc, gtfo. Go lick those boots elsewhere.
Russia/Putin stans/apologists are also not welcome here. Same for those who are “neutral” or think that “both sides are bad” (no they are not). And if you’re one of those people who act like Ukraine has no autonomy and is only resisting because the West is pushing it to do so, sincerely, go fuck yourself.
That’s about it I think. Though remember that you won’t fully know all of my beliefs from a couple sentences or even a couple paragraphs.
(Edit: For TOH fans, filter “#huntl0w negative” if you don’t like seeing negativity towards the ship. I try not to mention it much, but occasionally I voice or reblog criticisms of the writing (it’s pretty bad if it’s meant to be romantic), and some behavior from particularly aggressive fans. Btw in case you’re wondering, no, I don’t like L*nter, they are a canonically familial relationship)
[This post gets updates sometimes]

Oh my, how did you find this lake?
Tumblr media
Hello there! Please, call me Nimue. I’m 22 years old and German (English is my second anguage). I am on the aromantic spectrum. I am gendetfluid and thus what I identify as will shift on a whim. Please ask me for pronouns and what gendered terms I'm fine with at the moment! Or use They/Them and do not gender if you want to play it safe all the time. Due to this I also prefer to not label my sexuality (not like I know what to call it anyways).
This is my nsfw blog where I reblog nsfw content and publish some of my own (mainly smut). For my main / sfw blog check out @nimue-hidden-lake. I interact from @eve-has-a-writing-addiction!
For more info read below the cut!
Tumblr media
BYF
I am a selfshipper / yumejoshi and I am very open about this! I do not mind interacting with people who are not so feel free to interact with me either way (may it be posts, tags, dms or the askbox)! But if you do not feel comfortable with this fact, I suggest that you avoid this blog altogether since I share and post about this stuff a lot!
I love to write and talk about writing! Writing is my passion! This includes smut (#Nimue's Hidden Lake)
I experiment with my writing. Thus I can and will write about darker themes sometimes! These posts receive a content warning however and I have a tag available so you can filter that stuff (#Deep Waters)
I am primarily an OC/Canon shipper and I will gush and write about these ships a lot! I also multiship in that regard! I am also probably writing Canon x OC instead of x Reader.
Most of my fics include an afab character. Thus I write a lot of f/m and f/f.
I am not a single fandom blog! Though I have a primary interest which can change. My current primary interest is Ensemble Stars.
Tag List
#Nimue's Whispers - General thoughts and headcanons
#Nimue's Thirst - Me being unhinged about whoever or just in general
#Nimue's Dirty Secret - Smut

Kid Icarus
Genshin Impact
These are just my primary interests! I am enjoying many more fandoms! If you want to know if I am part of a specific one, ask! I also only listed those where I'm ready to reblog and write 18+ work for!
OC List
Character for most Ensemble Stars fics (afab - They/Them or She/Her)
Character for Kid Icarus fics (unknown – They/Them)
There are at least two more KI:U OCs, listed soon
Character for Obey Me! (coming soon) (afab – They/Them)
Character for Honkai Star Rail (afab – She/Her)
A few more HSR OCs to be listed soon
Genshin Impact OC for most fics (coming soon) (afab - She/Her)
Hypnosis Mic OC (afab - Any except She/Her)

DNI if…
you are a minor. No exceptions! This blog focuses on nsfw content! So I would prefer if minors do not interact with any of my posts. And if I find out minors interact with my posts, I will block asap!
you are here to start drama or talk about drama. I will be honest, hearing about any type of drama can stress me out and I prefer avoiding it here if possible. I myself will never talk about drama either, no matter what it is! Also please do not involve me in any drama!
you have a problem with content involving OCs and self inserts. Leave! This includes OC x Canon + S/I x Canon content as well!
you are…
A racist
A bigot
A transphobe
Anti LGBTQIA+
A p*dophile / MAP
