Punch out wii but make it pride
Or gender and sexuality headcanons for the lads cause it's pride month lmao.
{Note that these are not my only headcanons, just the ones I stick to most often. Yes, i have imagined everyone as trans already :P. }
Glass Joe:
Bi and Trans.
Struggled with a lot of internalized biphobia after his transition and is only now accepting his attraction to men as a man.
Very happy with his transition and is currently considering bottom surgery. However, the endocrinologist that works with the WVBA is abusive and refuses to dose his T properly. This has left him stuck not only without his hormones for transition, but left him very sick due to his naturally low T levels. No one knows he's trans and he has no idea.
Von Kaiser:
He's pretty out of the loop when it comes to labels so he doesn't use them. The best label for him would probably be Grey Aroace, with no gender preference when he has had crushes.
As for his gender, he generally considers himself cis but is very relaxed about being called she/her and interacting with femininity, which has made him question himself a little.
Disco Kid:
Gay gay homosexual gay. He is, in no uncertain terms, not attracted to women. There was a short time where he tried to be attracted to women, until his uncle came out to him and made him feel safe not to be in the closet anymore.
Very feminine and gnc, preferring to be called a 'queen' above all else in relation to his gender. Out and proud (He can't really hide it, lol) and will beat the shit out of anyone who says anything negative about him or the other boxers queerness.
King Hippo:
Aroace king with no desire for anything outside of friendships and family relationships.
Hippo Island culture has 4 genders based on social roles. There's male, female, a third gender that encompasses a mixture of both, and a fourth that does neither. People of this fourth gender not only have the most flexibility in what they can choose to do, but are also free to practice most cultural taboos freely. Hippo is apart of the 4th gender, being comfortable with being labeled as trans and nonbinary, though says he's male to American media. He isn't agender- his gender is part of a social class and should not be conflated with anything else.
Piston Hondo:
As stated in my first headcanon post about him, he finds hard labels restricting. Depending on how he feels on a given day and who he's talking to, he'll call himself queer, gay, bi, and pan- sometimes all within the same conversation. He's very cool with open relationships and is currently enjoying a friends-with-benefits situation with Don and Carmen.
He's dipped his toes in femininity, but it wasn't for him so now he's cis+. He does however, choose to use feminine pronouns in Japanese because he prefers the way they sound.
Bear Hugger:
He's bi with a slight preference for men. He adores his wife, but is always a little heartbroken to tell all the pretty men who swarm him at gay events that he's married.
Cis but not an asshole about it. Very supportive and protective of his trans friends even if he isn't the most knowledgeable about some things.
Great Tiger:
Demi romantic/sexual and only attracted to men when he has developed crushes.
He's been exploring his gender for a little while now and still isn't sure if he's genderfluid or not so he sticks to calling himself gnc.
Don Flamenco:
Struggled with accepting his bisexuality due to his religion for years. When he finally did though, he was much happier and opened his relationship with Carmen. They're cool with just about everything except they have 1 rule- their romantic love is only for each other. Don's the type to fall in love easily, so this was hard on him. However, Carmen is his one and only and has stayed true to her for many years.
Currently, Don is denying his complicated gender feelings. He began suspecting he was bigender but quickly shut it down and has since been trying (And failing) to stuff it down with machismo.
Aran Ryan:
Bi and a trans man.
He comes from a long line of bisexuals, to the point where his parents/grandparents believe everyone is at least a little attracted to multiple genders. Aran has always been open to dating anyone and has no preferences whatsoever, aside from not dating cis people.
His parents and grandma initially rejected him when he came out as trans. After Aran ran away and came back a few years later, they mended their relationships and are now fully supportive. He did some not-so-legal stuff to transition and still gets his T off the black market due to lacking proper medical records and distrusting doctors. The only part of his transition he regrets is getting top surgery. He felt he had no choice in the matter and it put a lot of financial, emotional, and physical strain on him. He's stealth at the moment but wouldn't mind people he trusts knowing.
Soda Popinski:
Gay gay homosexual gay. Due to the Russian government's involvement in his career he can't safely come out. His mother and sister know and are very supportive of him.
He's had some funny gender feelings for a while now, but cannot explore his gender due to the government on his back.
Bald Bull:
Bi but closeted. He knows coming out would cause a shitstorm in the press and hides his sexuality as much as possible. He doesn't know how supportive his family would be were he to come out to them but frankly doesn't care enough about them to do so.
Cis and very respectful of trans people. He used to be more close minded out of confusion more than anything, but has since opened up and become a strong supporter of trans rights both in the US and Turkey.
Super Macho Man:
Aro and pan.
He's uninterested in romance whatsoever and trying to bring up his romantic life will only upset him. He's got a huge polycule of fuckbuddies where everyone is very happy (Macho most of all).
Cis+. He tried being trans for a short time, asking his friends to call him a different name and pronouns but left the situation more affirmed of his gender than anything.
Mr. Sandman:
Switches between calling himself bi and pan, finding both labels useful and important to him in their own ways.
Very gnc in daily life and has labelled himself nonbinary before. Currently considers himself cis as he finds being nonbinary isn't for him.
Little Mac:
Straight and trans.
He figured out his gender young and transitioned as soon as he turned 8- something he and Doc had to fight for hard. He's currently getting back on T after being assured the WVBA would cover it and let him compete on it. He doesn't do well in surgery so can't get top surgery, but he doesn't mind as he enjoys binders and compression tops a lot.
Though he's had crushes on guys, his love for women is more common and intense so he just calls himself straight.
Doc Louis:
Bi but refuses to call himself that. He thinks his relationships with me don't count as they were all either very short or former roommates. He really doesn't think he deserves to call himself bi.
Cis and very supportive of Mac's transition. All he wants is his baby to be happy and he'll accept whatever Mac wants to do for himself.

I feel like debating who Loki was talking to when he said "For You" in the last episode, is missing the point of the scene. And people referring to it as "cowardly" and a "no-homo" moment is just?? Baffling to me tbh because like;
First of all, it is obviously intended to be to both of them? If they only wanted to make it about Sylvie, Mobius wouldn't be there. If they only wanted to make it about Mobius, Sylvie wouldn't be there. If they wanted to make it about everyone they would've just framed it more equally, he does do it for all his friends ("for all of us"), but they have that scene to highlight these two specific relationships. The framing is quite clear, they have him take a last look at all of his friends before going down the stairs, but Mobius and Sylvie runs after him to have a final significant moment.
Which absolutely makes sense and is consistent with the show we have seen so far, s1 and s2 combined, which is what I love about it. And it was to be honest a surprise! Going into this season, I had little hope for Loki/Mobius interactions, just didn't want to expect too much since S1 had a lot of their connection, but that could've been it. I was shocked when s2ep1 was full to the brim with Loki and Mobius scenes? And then they kept reinforcing every week that they care about each other, is a funny duo to watch, and are important to one another.
And despite this, I expected the rug to at some point be pulled, especially compared to Loki's relationship to Sylvie. No matter people's personal viewing on the show, she is still cited as a love interest by showrunners and is just portrayed as that by the narrative a lot of the time. Sidelining that, even in s2 when the romantic hints are more vague, she's still a very important person in Loki's life. She played a central part of the plot and Loki's own character development of understanding himself.
So to me, I was surprised seeing Mobius and Sylvie side by side in the end. Both being framed as The important people in Loki's life. Then, however you wanna see in what ways they are important is up to you, but they are the people he keeps coming back to for advice and self-reflection. You can frame it as "oh it should've been only been Mobius and they added Sylvie to downplay it", which, I just disagree with (If they wanted to go for explicitly canon Lokius they needed to set that up even more earlier in the season but that's a post for another day). Sylvie is still like, a constant in the narrative and driving force of s1, even if s2 changes things around a bit, and imo it would be inconsistent if she just vanished here. I guess I am used to media that downplays a meaningful dynamic between two dudes in more aggressive ways, which they absolutely could've done, and would've taken me out of the story to be honest... but they didn't, Mobius and Sylvie got to be side by side in the end and that imo validated the Loki/Mobius dynamic way more than downplays it.
TLDR; The "For you" was for both Mobius and Sylvie because why would you frame it that way otherwise, and having them side by side like that validates Lokius way more than downplays it in a "no-homo" way considering the full context of the show.

We need to talk about the lack of "filler" in series that're been released recently
I just watched a video about ATLA and it's filler or lack there of and, they're right, ATLA doesn't have filler episodes as we define "filler episodes" now. Our understanding of filler is closer to what's used for anime that is, non canon episodes that are made so the anime doesn't catch up with the manga. Applying this to western animation (I say animation bc I graduated in it thus a better understanding and I don't really watch many live action series so I don't have much of a say) we ended up with the impression that it means "episodes that don't move the plot forward"
Which, doesn't make sense with Western animation since most of it isn't a adaptation of something else, or with comic adaptations for ex, they're mostly adaptations of various arcs coming together as a single story. Smt very different from the manga to anime adaptation process
Comparing ATLA who positively doesn't have "filler" and X-men 97 who negatively doesn't have "filler" is a good example of what I'm trying to say.
Not all of ATLA episodes move the "learn the elements and defeat the firelord" plot forward and that's good thank fuck not all episodes are rushing ahead to throwing this 12yo we barely know into a battle with a full grown adult who's perpetrating a war against the rest of the world. Instead we actually get to know the characters, we see them traveling from the South to the North Pole instead of spawning where the plot demands, we see Aang adapt to the world post iceberg nap and learn to be the avatar, we see the effect the 100 year war had in this world. And most of all, the more "filler" episodes contributed to the pacing of the series, when binging the series now I still feel like the Gaang traveled across the whole world and didn't just teleport to the plot.
Opposed to X-men 97, don't get me wrong I'm absolutely loving it but the story is always being racing forward at a breakneck speed. They did try to pace it better inter cutting the main plot with Scott, Jean, Madelyne, Wolverine's whole deal and the "LifeDeath " plot, but if there wasn't the weekly wait for the next episode we would not have any time to breathe and digest what happened in the episodes.
I'm still confused on how Madelyne went from trying to have a normal life outside the x-men to being in Genosha's council. Still on Madelyne, I didn't care that they had to part ways with Nathan, ik he's their baby and all that, but as soon as they named the baby Nathan I knew they were throwing that baby to the future to complete the time loop of him being in the original series. And that's because they never got the chance to try to make us care, the writing team couldn't waste time with that since they only had 8 episodes to tell all these stories, the speed that the plot is being taken makes me believe that when writing this season Disney still hadn't signed on the second season and when they did it was too late to rework the script.
This whole thing is reminding me of Hazbin Hotel's pacing problems, analyzing it as if I didn't watch the pilot, we just met the characters and suddenly had to care that they were going to die in six months, we don't really know Charlie other than 1. she's Lucifer's daughter, 2. daddy issues that aren't rly addressed besides jokes, 3. she's with Vaggie (other character we didn't get to know) and 4. she's the owner of the hotel and wants to rehabilitate the sinners. The worst part of it is, we teleported from the start of the season to 6 months later out of nowhere and suddenly we're at the finale with the big boss battle. Of course HuskDust is a more popular ship than Charlie and Vaggie, we never got the chance to see them being together other than in episodes when the characters are being dragged by the plot while Angel and Husk had an episode where we met them and got the time to see them interact without being pushed by the extermination plot
This is exactly why "filler episodes" are important, we should actually know who these characters are before the big fight at the end so we can actually care about what happens to them. X-men 97 may not suffer that much from it but it's because we already knew most of the characters, but we never got to meet this version of Madelyne, see her going out alone to a world that hates her existence, see her morn having been forced to send her baby off to the future and maybe not being able to see him ever again and finally see never see how did she even end up in Genosha.
Or Storm, sure we got a two parter, but how did she get to fuck knows where to meet Forge in that bar, what did she go through during the time she was traveling alone, it's not as if people wouldn't recognize her as a x-men even if she'd left the team, maybe see more of how the relationship between her and Forge developed, cuz I didn't get why she still wants to be with him even after he basically created the tec that was turned into the weapons used to kill mutants, that's smt one can't just forgive, and yes I'd like to see her as she struggles with not having her powers, smt other than she feeling lonely without the wind (this would work even as just a montage with sad music as she travels to the fuckall haunted desert)
On a rly quick note on Invincible I do think they did a good job with their pacing and character development with the time they had, I'd like to have seen a bit more of Rex's development from complete douche to Lizard Leader homemade lobotomy to where we are now, but on the Grayson family whole thing they did an amazing job at showing how they're dealing with the aftermath of season 1, there was just a little jump from Debbie downing a bottle of wine every day to full bug mom mode but I do think she'd step up to it no doubt.
Maybe just some scenes of her still working through s1 trauma and questioning wtf is wrong w Nolan bc from her perspective he just killed hundreds of ppl on Earth, almost killed Mark, fucked off to space and suddenly there's a purple half bug baby living in her house calling her mom. But I don't think that's strictly necessary since there's always fanfiction to bridge this gap and it's just a minor thing that bothered me
TLDR: Filler in western cartoons isn't really filler, these are just episodes to help develop the world or characters without having to rush with the plot and also episodes that help with the pacing of the story, thus showing the passage of time or great distances being crossed without having the characters spawn at the next plot point. And we do need it specially for shows that are intended for binging, such as most shows now. What determines good filler from bad filler here is good writing

as cool as their design is im really starting to dislike the sonau in general, aside from their stuff suddendly being everywhere and everything being about them and how cool(tm) they are now with the mystery stone turning people into dragons and the similarities between the sonau and the three dragons (naydra, eldra, farodra) its actually not an impossibility that they used to be sonaus as alot of people have been theorizing about ..but ...... idk that would very much ruin their otherwordly yet ethereal mystery to me
i probably sound like some hater whos trying to find something more to dislike about totk all the time but i promise im not!!
the three dragons being some unexplained mystery, beings that are there yet few can see them, timeless, nigh untouchable, they dont act on anything, they dont talk, something about them has always made me look at them in awe; if it turned out they were just yet another cool(tm) sonau guy that ate a stone ... :/
not a fan of that one lads, but dont worry, i will keep my thoughts to myself from now on, i dont want to ruin other peoples fun nor seem like i just hate everything ... the three dragons are just really important to me so i had to say something

Im going to be completely frank with you all... and admit that I read these options and wasn't sure how to take this chart,,, so uh. Under the cut is Another Version. I'd apologize but I've given you the option to keep scrolling ¯\_(・・)_/¯
(If you notice characters missing on Kim's side, I probably figured she doesn't know who they are lol)
For the record,,, if they *wanted* me to pull their hair-- *is shot several times before I can continue*
Uhh Matthew is here because I have been converted fully on he/him or enby lesbian Matthew I think. He lives in my brain rent free now, very gender. I'd pull his hair but also I think he mostly just deserves to have it played with nicely.
And Scott's here because 1) I enjoy trans Scott, 2) Kim Pine Brain Rot possibly, 3) idk he's like,, the exception. God damnit, I've fallen for the inexplicable Scott Pilgrim Effect. What the fuck--
I did think about doing this chart like everyone was actually applicable to my tastes, but even if they were I think the ones I didn't put up would have to fall on the caress side bc I just don't feel that way abt them lol.
Again, not to say that's the case for the gals over on that side,,, I just think I would want to be gentle w them shxkdjsdhbd with the exception for Lynette who probably deserves to have her hair pulled, but again I fear she would Hurt Me,,, but maybe in a fun way,,,
Anyway No One Look At Me....
(,, also,,, Ramona is so far over bc I think she would enjoy it,, otherwise she'd be closer to Kim in that section. Same thing w Roxie)
If anyone actually looks at this version, I'm not opposed to doing a version like this for Kim btw! Just ask for it so I feel like I'm not just Dropping This and scurrying away

warning for ab/se & toxic relationships. and sdr2 spoilers duh
im thinking abt the remnants of despair. cause i hate how it just seemed to be like, "theyre suddenly brainwashed and then they turn evilll and they kill because they dont feel anything" like, i hate that. it feels so underdeveloped. it cant just be despair, it has to be deeper than that, i think it'd take personal angles and link with a lot of their own trauma, leaving them really vulnerable and deranged. so heres my own interpretation and headcanons for some of them
contains mikan, nagito, fuyuhiko, peko, akane, and brief analysis of the rest. keep in mind i havent seen the animes yet lol so this is a basic layer of it, but i just rly wanted to let this out cus i dont see it talked about. storing my brainrot here for later moments.
we all know how mikan and nagito feel. mikan was constantly hurt by other people before junko herself, itd make sense for her to develop a very unhealthy attachment to her. mikan was extremely vulnerable and controllable, she would do anything for anyone and especially junko, just so no one is mad at her, hence why it got so twisted. she wanted to be loved so badly, she would take whatever form of it she could. thats why it was so easy for junko to get her under her boot. now nagito has an odd love-hate relationship with junko imo (his mind is so messed up man) even if he praises hope in such a grossly obsessed way, the mf still TOOK her arm. i know he did it because he hated her so much and i guess to take power back, but i feel like because nagito had never really been loved, he wanted to try and feel what it could've been like out of some kind of confused desperation and fondness for her in a way, because his mind has no idea what those feelings truly are or what they mean. hatred and love often get mixed up in his head and form this horrible amalgamation with whoever he meets, which is clear towards the survivors in the nwp anyway
first of all i feel like the brainwashing would be a very slow process bc junko would definitely just manipulate everyone in her way to get what she wants. and by the time the world was plagued basically, all the remnants clearly had really unhealthy feelings related to junko specifically. they all love her, hate her, or praise her, but its all in very different ways that would be bc of their own personal backstories
fuyuhiko put junko's own eye into his own socket, and i feel like his relationship with her while in despair would be extremely one sided/perhaps parasocial if thats the right word. like, he is definitely one of the most fucked up to me. id say by my own headcanons though its heavily implied in his fte dialogues, is his parents are very ab/usive right from the start. fuyuhiko is messed up to all hell, he was constantly hurt and under pressure but he had to be strong and perfect because he was the head of his clan, he had to make people proud or else he was a failure forever. so he clung onto that. he never knew what true love felt like (platonic or not), and when junko came along and he fell into despair, shit hit the fan. he had come so attached to her, at that point junko would be like a mother figure to him. she was like the mother he never had, he wanted to make her proud, even if it was hurting him anyway. fuyuhiko would keep digging himself a hole of desperation and self destruction, seeking more and more pain because it's all he's used to. and because of that, makotos guess was right; he wanted to see her despair. it'd make sense he'd want to take a part of her, to see horrors she had witnessed so he could understand it, so she could be proud of him and part of him forever. he felt like if he did that, he would finally succeed, he'd achieve perfection, and he did. he'd done everything junko wanted him to do, while quenching his own thirst for violence itself, all via his own delusions. that was love to him and it felt real
as for peko she was definitely also treated the same in the kuzuryu family but more dehumanized obviously, so i think she'd feel a similar way; always needing to be good enough, but more specifically protecting the ones she cares about at all costs even if it results in bloodshed. i think she'd be a lot colder, forcing to suppress her feelings since she just has to follow fuyuhiko wherever he went, and she was pretty much as insane as him as well so anything slid. i know peko doesnt want to be a tool, but she'd definitely succumb to the fact that she has to be one when they're under despair (and it'd probably happen round the same time). if she was going to be his tool, she has to be like a robot and just do what follows
as for akane, she grew up very poor, and didn't live a good life at all either (w/ definitely bad parents) but she always tried her very best taking care of her siblings in the past, despite everything. i think there was a lot of twisted familial love with junko whom she started to see as a sister because of being a caretaker. she'd fight for her endlessly, she was one of the strongest for a while, but maybe she found her body, she wanted to preserve it as much as possible by the end of everything, she wanted to take care of her and do everything for her even if she had been too late. and with that, and barely any food in an apocalyptic world, the inevitable happens. i feel like akane would fall into a very hurtful spiral of self hate, that her starving was like a punishment to herself for her own failures and how she was failing to preserve junko. she'd be a very emotional but crazy, desperate mess
thats all i can think of atm. uhh short extra stuff; i feel like mikan or gundham would try to stitch junko up a bit, and try to keep her as long as possible. i feel like mikan is more likely to do that. if gundham did, it'd be for dark purposes given the whole overlord thing he has going on
+ kazuichi never liked himself, was bullied often and always wanted to be liked (especially by women), so he'd be notably attached to junko in this scenario, most likely in a romantic way. he'd also be very insane and would cause havoc like 24/7 just for satisfaction and to please junko/despair itself, he'd just get his hands on a lot of weapons and would just go on mindless chaotic sprees. nekomaru would be similar, being chaotic and all, but he's all about the physical burn and the pain. sonia is just a corrupted leader since she took advantage of her power under despair, so anyone would expect that. and mahiru fell into morbid curiosity and gets worse, given what she does with her camera
teruteru was just a little hungry. boys gotta eat
