I have never read nor do I know anything about the Idea of You but you're telling me there's a male pop star character called August Moon???? I'm sorry but I just immediately think of Austin Moon from Austin & Ally. And that makes me mad that Ross Lynch isn't playing this character.

I just finished reading The Idea of You and I have some thoughts. So, I read it because I watched the trailer and I'm a fan of Nicholas Galitzine and Anne Hathaway. I didn't know anything about it before.

I liked the book, I read it within 24 hours. I think it's fun and emotional. But there are some aspects that didn't make sense/ that felt rushed and I wonder how they'll deal with them in the movie. For instance, I think it's pretty naive that Solene goes to public places with Hayes and no one cares. They don't really try to keep it a secret that hard, the whole band knows, the staff, her friends etc.

Also of Isabelle is such a hard core fan, she probably told Solene way more information about Hayes than she claims to know. There are some situations where it just seems weird that Solene wouldn't know these things about Hayes after idk how many months. Also Hayes remembers everything about her, she should pay more attention.

However, for Hayes not to know that "just ignore it" is not the same for Solene (or women in the entertainment industry in general) as for him seems pretty insensitive. Yes, he tries to quit the band for her. But he doesn't really get what this level of attention does to her and they make a lot of things up as they go. But the other band members had girlfriends etc., there should be a protocol. Solene should have gotten a bodyguard and cameras soon as they started officially dating.

So about the movie; first of all, amazing cast, I'm super exited! I've seen some posts that think Anne doesn't look 40 and Nicholas doesn't look 20 and I agree. From the trailer, the age difference doesn't seem that noticeable. But also in the book, something you feel like Hayes acts way older than 20 and Solene way younger than 40 so I think it depends on the acting and it could work.

Я никогда не писала отзывов и рецензий, но мне кажется, время пришло. Прочитав книгу "Idea of you" Robine Lee в оригинале, мне есть о чем сказать. Спойлеры будут, поэтому тем, кто не читал, советую для начала прочесть, чтобы обзавестись собственным мнением.

Итак, повествование происходит очень легко, без сложных отсылок и понятно даже русскоязычным людям, имеющим только базу знания английского языка.

Солен Маршанд, француженка, в разводе, имеет 13- летнюю дочь, с которой по счастливой случайности попадёт на концерт самого известного бойз - бенда современности August Moon (отсылка к One Direction). За кулисами она знакомится с его участками, молодыми "свеженькими" мальчиками 19-20 лет, с чудесным улыбками, прическами и идеальной кожей. И один из этих "выращенных на ферме"(с) мальчиков положил на неё глаз - основатель группы и самый зрелый из всех - Хэйз Кэмпбелл.

Дальше все по классике - в один из прекрасных дней он позвонил ей, предложил сходить на ланч и понеслось. Ахи - вздохи, поцелуи, и тд.

Дальше действие происходит в разных городах, отелях, странах, где они неистово трахаются в самых разнообразных позах, счастливая Солен радуется каждому прикосновения и кончает по 8 раз за ночь, а у Хэйза никогда не падает, ведь ему 20. Вначале, чувств между гг нет, только секс, однако чем дальше тем хуже, как говорится, они влюбляются друг в друга и все усложняется. За Хэйзом постоянно следят папарацци, у него миллионы поклонниц, желающих всего его и даже больше, и в одно из их интимных секс - турне они попадают в кадр фотографу, когда Хэйз делает Солен куни. Фото разлетается везде, и с этого момента наша парочка уже не скрывает свои отношения и открыто лабзается на публике.

Что не понравилось в этом : Хэйз, в силу возраста, думает только о себе и никак не комментирует свою личную жизнь в сети. В то время как Солен начинает поступать всякие угрозы, её дочь травят в школе, типа её мать шлюха, спит с мальчиком вдвое младше неё. Солен владеет арт-галерей современного искусства, совместно с подругой, и туда начинают сыпатся угрозы и оскорбления. Она понимает, что своим увлечением причиняет вред семье, работе, карьере, своему имиджу и тд. В то время как Хэйз, в порыве бурных страстей, несколько раз предлагает Солен уйти из группы и быть всегда вместе с ней, но в итоге ничего не делает.

В конце концов, Солен это надоедает, и несмотря на свои сильные чувства, она решает закончить отношения, пока никто не пострадал.

И все!! Почему, за что??

Почему нельзя было продолжить рассказ, что они смогли это выдержать, или наоборот, трахались ещё пару лет а потом страсть иссякла, как это бывает в обычной жизни? Зачем нужно было разбивать сердце молодому парню, ведь он не виноват, у него не было инструкции на такие ситуации. Он пытался вернуть её, страдал, но Солен, как настоящая женщина, послала малолетку и стала жить обычной жизнью, подавив в себе свои чувства.

Мне категорически не понравилась концовка, такое чувство, будто автор писала писала книгу, и в конце просто устала.

Где драма, где острые ощущения? Почему нельзя было дать гг шанс. Почему нужно было заканчивать все так глупо, и резко. Я искренне возмущена :)

Меня книга захватила полностью и я, по привычке, перечитываю по второму кругу, чтобы уловить то, на что не обратила внимание в первый раз.

Советую к прочтению тем, кто любит любовные романы, и любит стекло, чтобы было над чем поплакать.

Я была влюблена в Хэйза не меньше главной героини, и моё сердце разбито.

Ждём выхода фильма от Амазон Прайм, с участием Anne Hathaway и Nicholas Galitzine.
