Original prompt:
Trying this a different way this time! ~1500 words today. Takes a little bit to get there, but I hope you enjoy it!
______________
Nothing ever happens on Wednesdays. Well. Not from the hours of midnight to 6am at least.
It’s the perfect night to come back.
Around and above you, the lights of the pizzaplex flick off, casting your path in wells of deep shadow between islands of neon glow.
It was unsettling walking to your office the first few times. Management wanted you clocking in no more than five minutes before your shift officially began, and unless you sprinted from the time clock, there was no way in hell even that would get you from point A to your office down in the depths of the place before it got spooky in the pizzaplex. You used your phone flashlight for a bit - speed walking between neon streams and the glowing eyes of the ever-watchful wet floor bots - but, well.
Then Moon stole your phone.
It was your fault, to be fair.
You’d been late, you’d been hurrying, you heard a noise behind you and instantly thought ‘horror movie’ and whipped around and uh. Kind of flashbanged him in the face from two inches away. In your defense, no one had ever bothered to tell you what the other night security was, or tell you that it had a mischievous streak a mile wide.
So you figured you deserved it when he stole your phone and spent a good fifteen minutes suspended above you, sulking like a kicked cat before you gave up and stumbled your way to your office in the dark. And there, in between staring at the screen static of a completely empty plex, you decided to write him an apology.
One, you wanted your phone back. You’d just paid it off.
Two, call you a sucker, but he’d been kind of… cute? You’d never seen an animatronic sulk before and he’d sold it so well you’d really wanted to beckon him down and pet him.
You left that bit out of the apology. Which was a good thing, because when you’d clocked off in the morning and slipped by the daycare looking for the guy with your actually neatly written letter of apology, sealed with a sticker and everything, Sun looked at you like you were about to grow a second head.
And then, insisting that he was just checking it over for you, read the whole damn thing. Out loud. With acting.
You hadn’t been allowed to leave the tiny table he’d plonked you down at.
You’d been so mortified, your brain didn’t even register it when he whipped out your phone from somewhere and made you re-enact the incident with him - except Sun, wearing a hat also produced from places unknown, followed up the flashbang with dramatic wailing on the floor. Smote down, cruelly wounded, etc.
Which was all well and good, you’d said. But Moon’s was a lot cuter.
Yeah.
You know in those choice games, where like. Sometimes it brings up a notice? ‘There will be consequences for this action’?
There were consequences for that action. You still don’t dare go to the daycare during operating hours.
Sun, the menace, had gotten this gleam in his eyes and started howling and you fled like literal hounds were on your heels.
You hadn’t expected to clock in late the next day, the lights off before you even made it to the time clock, and then turn around to Moon right there.
And. Look, ok.
He was too big to be in that pill box of a room. So he was kind of scrunched up a bit. Hunched in on himself, his hat more crooked than usual, long legs and arms drawn in like. Like a cat, sitting behind you, with those big red eyes watching you.
He was cute. And you didn’t know about his and Sun’s whole situation - that liar - so you just. Did what you’d wanted to do the night before.
You reached out and pet him and that big cat just melted.
He made the deepest, happiest purr, eyes dimmed in contentment and next thing you knew, you were on the floor with an animatronic oozed across you, his face in your hands and his claws kneading the shitty carpet. Only, worse than a cat, there was no way to move the big cute lug to go anywhere.
Once Moon cuddled, you were stuck.
But you worked things out.
As much as the two of you enjoyed sitting in your office, his chin resting on your thighs as you watched the security feeds and idly pet him or wiped him down, he did have to do patrol, so you’d made a deal.
Wednesday, when nothing ever happened, Moon could come flop on you.
It wouldn’t take him long to show up tonight. After all, you’d been gone last week - vacation - and it’d taken a lot of pacifying to get your sulky cat to accept he’d have to go without cuddles for one week.
You unlock your office, flicking on the light switch beside the door and leave it open as you dump your overstuffed bag beside your chair and set your drink on your desk. If you didn’t keep the door open, Moon would claw at it. The exact same way a cat would paw at a closed door, except his are titanium and explaining it to management is a lot more… awkward. They always seem to expect so much more from your answers when they ask.
You only manage to get the screens turned on and dig out the wipes from your bag - the scrubby ones, a little treat - before the lights overhead go out, leaving you in only the faint light of the security feeds. And when you turn, you try very hard not to laugh.
All you can see are Moon’s eyes, staring accusingly in at you through the window beside the door.
“I’ve wronged you,” you say, as solemnly as possible.
His eyes narrow.
“Truly,” you turn, pulling out the starry blanket and new pillow wedged into your bag. “I have been a most cruel friend, to leave you uncuddled for a week.”
His claws creep around the edge of the doorway.
Almost everything else, you pull out from assorted hiding places in your office. Pillows. Not one, but two giant sleeping bags, spread out across the floor as you shove your chair to the edge of the admittedly small space. By the time you’ve finished, fluffing up the sturdy pillow you sacrificed from your old couch, Moon sits in the doorway.
Now for the final bribe.
Under his watchful optics, you set the wipes on the floor near the couch pillow. And then your drink. And then, with a wink, you reach into the bottom of your bag.
And pull out a massive power cord which you hold out in both hands, head bowed.
His eyes gleam, a quiet cackle hissing from his voice box.
“As an apology, please accept this offering of a night of cuddles and charging - just as long as you don’t blow up the circuits again.”
“No promises,” he hisses, already slinking inside and burrowing under the top sleeping bag as you huff out a laugh, pushing aside a bit of shelving to reach the heavy duty plug hidden behind it. You plug in the stupidly heavy cable and drag it over to the jingling blanket lump, grinning as he pops out his head. Just like a cat, he takes up 90% of any surface he deems his bed, and you drop the cable on him with a clunk as you clamber over him to the other side to your stash of wipes and drink.
The screens flicker as Moon plugs in the cable, and for a second you pause, wipe in hand, before he slinks an arm around your waist and plops his chin in your lap with a soft purr.
You laugh softly, checking over the security feeds for a second before you tilt up his face, smiling at his dimmed eyes and take the wipe to his forehead.
“I thought you were gonna knock us offline there, Moony.”
“Mmmm.” He hums, curling his lanky form around you until you’re hemmed in, his arms deceptively loose around you. “Still thinking about it.”
“I guess I’ll just have to convince you otherwise, hm? Can’t clean you up all nice if I can’t see a damn thing.”
You pat his head, settling back into your pillows as Moon mumbles something and, slowly, as the trash can fills with dirtied wipes - your eyes flicking to the screens each time you grab a new one - his purr evens out.
It’ll be a long night. Somehow, you suspect he’s not going to let you up until the end of your shift this time.
With a fond sigh, you hook an arm around him in turn, fiddling lightly with his hat as he snoozes and turn your eyes back to the wall of security monitors. His fingers rest loose and light against your sides. Every now and then, his claws twitch. His inner machinery ticks and whirrs lazily.
He really is a sweet thing, underneath all that mischief.
You almost want to kiss him. But, ah. This is enough, isn’t it?

Of course! I love those two lol.
DAYCARE ATTENDANT X WORKER!GN!READER
Tumblr media
cw: yandere, possessiveness, blood mentions
REQUESTS ARE STILL OPEN
You sighed, making your way over to the daycare, wheeling over your massive cart as your heart filled with dread.
The daycare was not your favorite place to clean in the Pizzaplex, namely because once you think you finished cleaning one thing, another thing always pops up. Oh,you finally scrubbed out the blood an injured kid dripped onto the mat? Guess what, there’s a new crayon mess you somehow missed! Oh, you finished cleaning off the crayons? One kid found a sharpie and drew inside the slide, guess like you have to clean that up!
These kids were always so messy, and it was moments like this that made you wish that there was another person working with you, as much as you hated working with other people.
You made your way into the daycare, which was just as messy as it normally is, only this time something else was there.
The Daycare Attendant, the Sun.
He was picking up the mess that the children made before the daycare closed. He noticed you walk in and gave you a wide and excited wave.
"Hello, Sunbeam!" He said, "I’m helping you pick up!"
Sunbeam was Sun's nickname for you. He bounded his way over to you, dumping some trash into the nearby bin and soon after wrapped his arms around you in a warm embrace.
You, in turn, hugged him back. He was a solace after a long day, and usually he’d spend his time trying to entertain you.
Yet today seemed… different. He was acting strange the past month, acting more protective of you. He's also been asking more personal questions about you.
Today was different, after cleaning up the mess that the children made he simply wrapped himself around you and hugged you once again.
"Sunbeam, why do you leave every night?" asked Sun.
"I have a home to go to," you answered, "I have to pay bills, pay rent, pay taxes… I have to do a lot of stuff, it’s the responsibility of living,"
Sun didn't look so pleased.
"But those are all bad things!" Sun said, "Don't you want to stay here and play forever?"
You were silent for a bit, Sun anticipating your answer.
"…No,"
Sun was silent, but you spoke again.
"I don’t mean that… I dislike you, quite the opposite, but… I have friends outside, and I have a life to live,"
"What could be more important than your very special best friend?" Sun asked.
"My family? Family's important," you responded.
Sun didn't respond, but didn't let go. You snuggled into him, to help make up for you not staying with him forever, yet he still didn't let go.
"Uh… Sun?" you asked, "Can you let go?"
"No," Sun said, chillingly.
Your stomach dropped. He was serious about you staying with him forever. You quickly wormed your way out of Sun's grasp and made your way over to the exit, but Sun was surprisingly agile and was faster than you, blocking the door with his body.
"I didn't want to do this, Sunbeam," Sun said, before reaching for the light-switch and turning the lights off.
You took out your flashlight and aimed it at the door, only to find Sun wasn't there… there was nothing between you and the door.
You ran over and grabbed the doorknob, but a pair of hands wrapped around you.
"It's nice to meet you, Starlight~," a deep voice says into your ear. You snapped your head to find that the Sun was replaced with a similar animatronic, one that represented the moon.
"Moon?" you hesitantly asked, to which the attendant nodded.
"Let's not stay up any longer~," Moon said, "You'd be naughty if you stayed up past your bedtime, and I don't want to punish you, Starlight~,"
Moon effortlessly picked you up and brought you into the rear of the play area, where a small tent was set up. His red eyes bore into you as you both entered the tent.
He set you down on a pile of blankets, taking a spot next to you and snuggling into you.
"Good night, Starlight~…" Moon cooed.
You were exhausted, and while you did try to put up a fight, exhaustion kicked in and you fell asleep in his comfortable arms.

Decided to do both a quick art and story :D
"Come out." The voice commanded through the silence, the words bouncing between the walls and echoing further and deeper into the belly of the Plex the owner was made to protect. His red eyes scanned the open area, each gentle step jingling the small balls on his shoes, the noise no doubt like a shotgun in the empty air to his intended prey. His focus laid on the hiding places the space offered, his cooing chuckle raspy and excited as he grabbed a table he had spotted upon arrival and lifted it. To his disappointment he found nothing, so he turned to the next hiding spot. For his target there were a limited few they could even go for. Adults could not hide as well as children. So he walked on, listening for the most gentle of noises so he could pinpoint where the little mouse has gone to.
He had, admittedly, been startled by the young adult who had come around the corner during one of his rounds, seemingly just as confused by him as he was by them. Nonetheless he had a job and acted upon the stranger, lunging for them and contorting himself to follow when they took off. Moon may have had a task to do, but it didn't mean he couldn't have fun, holding back and almost lazily following after them.
He enjoyed the chase, keeping them on their toes as they sprinted from area to area, him hot on their heels as they dove down corners and hallways in an attempt to lose his neverending shadow on their back. Much to his surprise, when he finally decided it was time to catch them, it was no easier. He was running with intent, and still his fingers barely brushed their hoodie as they slipped through doors. Sleek prey, he thought to himself. He had turned the corner to find them missing. A game of hide and seek, it seemed, and he was just as eager to play. He continued on his quest, taunting the air. “Are we playing hide and seek?” He asked in a playful tone as he looked around, almost turning the place upside down in his search. “Are you not tired?” he purred, pausing to listen for soft noises of fear, “Don’t you want to sleep after all that running?” He suggested as he stood in the middle of the floor, finger to his chin in thought.
The person offered no answer. It didn’t matter to him. Catching them would be delightful
--
Teu watched him as he moved from spot to spot, lifting and moving objects in an attempt to find them. Their breaths were hushed, their body tense and ready, their mind settling from the panicked rush just moments ago. They still didn't know why they were here. They couldn’t think of any reason. But it didn’t matter, for at the end of the day, they were stuck in a the Pizzaplex, with neon lights so bright and body full of confusing corridors that felt like they were in a freak house, their head thumping with a headache brought on from them trying to collect new details during the little cat and mouse chase. They had just recovered from their arrival when the animatronic came around the corner and began the lengthy chase around the place. They had spotted more robots (small and on wheels with flashlights, they noted) but they seemed to avoid helping or hindering as the pair ran right past them, merely observed the chaos. This tall one kept up with them, and they were not eager to find out what happened if the skeletal hands managed to grasp at something on their person.
Their hiding spot was one, they believed, he was not going to expect. After all, how many people have hidden in the rafters? They had managed to climb up and out of sight in time, thanking whatever invisible entity laid beyond that they managed to continue the ascent without making noise when the bot arrived. Positioned now in the ceiling they watched him from the shadows, making no noise, moving not even the slightest.
It was a fight of wills, who would give in first. They had a feeling they would last the battle. After all they knew this particular animatronic had to return every hour or so to the Daycare. Least, he should. Teu silently hoped the two were not their own separate bodies here or they were going to be in for a long night. For now, all the fox could do was watch the dog, waiting for the hour to end and hoping their first thought was the correct one.

i always come back Chapter 1
“Superstar.. I really don’t think she survived it.” He heard Freddy say to him. Gregory just shook his head determinedly. “No she can’t be gone, she has to be here Freddy!” He ran into another dilapidated room, looking around desperately. “Cassie! Cassie, please answer me!” He shrieked. “CASSIE!” Vanessa came into the room behind him, and watched him call out to his friend with a look of sympathy.
Gregory didn’t know what to do anymore. They had scoured the entire pizza plex, and Gregory was already dead exhausted, but he was determined to not leave without his best friend. They had still not checked the caves underneath the pizza plex, there was a chance Cassie could be there too.
“Come on! Let’s keep looking! She has to be here, she can’t have gone far.” He ran out of the room, he could hear Freddy and Vanessa’s voices telling him to slow down.
He didn’t.
He reached for the elevator, desperately pressing the buttons on it to bring it up. Nothing happened. He pressed it again. Once again nothing happened. “What’s going on?!  I could’ve sworn this was working!”
“Maybe it broke down..” Vanessa replied, and Gregory jumped at the sound of her voice. He hadn’t heard them arrive. “No no no!” Gregory continued to desperately push the buttons, but nothing came of it. It was as good as gone.
He groaned out in rage, and kicked at the elevator doors. “Stupid thing!”
Vanessa sighed and moved away, looking around to see if they had missed any spot, and maybe to see if there were any animatronics who might’ve seen her.
“I don’t think we checked the daycare Vanessa.” Freddy said to the ex-night guard. “Oh yeah! I’ll check there. Maybe Sun or Moon might know where she is! You two go and look to see if there are any other animatronics who might’ve potentially seen her.” Freddy nodded in response, and Vanessa turned on her flashlight leaving in the direction of the daycare.
“Come on Superstar. Let us go and search for someone who might have seen your friend.” He extended his hand to Gregory, who took it and went with him. They were walking silently for the most part, Freddy occasionally breaking the silence to tell him a quick story about a certain part of the mall. Gregory appreciated that, but reality was really crashing down on his shoulders, as he realized that there was a very good chance that Cassie might not have survived.
The whole mall was breaking down, getting lost to time. It looked nothing like what Gregory remembered it as. All the neon colors were gone, replaced by the colors of decay and ruin. ‘This fits the pizza plex better..’ Gregory thought to himself.
A loud growl erupted from somewhere, and there was a blur of gray. Something then pounced on Gregory and tackled him to the floor. “GIVE ME BACK MY EYES!” Roxanne Wolf screamed at him. “Let me go! Get off of me!” Freddy ran over to them and pulled her off of him. “Give me back my eyes you brat!” Gregory crawled away from her, staying close to the wall. Roxxane’s endoskeleton face was seen, and most of her casing had come off, she looked certainly worse than how she had been earlier.
“Roxy, calm down.. Just calm down.” Freddy said to the distressed wolf, who stopped squirming as soon she heard him. “Freddy? Is that you?” She asked, sounding almost shocked to hear him. “Indeed old friend. By any chance, have you come across a young child tonight?” Roxxane’s expression turned to, what Gregory assumed, an expression of regret. “I.. did.. Cassie..” Gregory’s heart practically jumped out of his chest. “Where is she? Is she okay?!” Roxy was silent. Gregory’s blood turned cold. “Is she.. She’s okay right?! She’s okay?!” “..I couldn't save her. The elevator took her down, and I tried to follow it and look for her. I lost track of how much time I searched for her. I couldn’t find her. I came up here and I searched. I couldn’t find her. She’s.. She’s gone.”
Freddy was silent, gently patting Roxy on the shoulder, seeming unphased at her dilapidated appearance. Gregory felt his heart shatter into a million pieces.
She was gone.
Cassie was gone.
“Okay! Good news! The Daycare Attendant said that they saw a young girl today, but they aren’t sure where she went. She could still be here- is everyone okay?”
Roxxanne tilted her head, staring in Vanessa’s direction. “Freddy.. Is that the security guard? What was her name.. Manford?” “That is the security guard Roxy! But her name is Vanessa.. Manford was the day shift security guard.” Vanessa gave Roxy a sympathetic look. “We should fix you up, Roxy. We’ll take you back with us. Any sign of Cassie?”
“Cassie is gone.” Roxy said. The chill in the air seemed to grow. “She died in the elevator crash.. I searched and searched.. I could not find her.” Vanessa looked over at Greg, who was blankly staring at the floor. He was still processing this.
“..we’ll come back tomorrow.. One more time we’ll check.. And if there’s nothing then..” Vanessa shook her head. “Let’s just go.” She took Gregory’s hand. “Come on everyone. Let’s go.”
Gregory allowed himself to be led out, looking over at the pizza plex one last time.
‘I’m sorry, Cassie.'

Crossover AU Idea: Spinel Breach (June 11, 2022)
anyway just had this idea pop into my head, after seeing some Spinel fan art...
that in a Crossover between FNAF Security Breach and Steven Universe series, Spinel decides to go visit Steven after the whole him self corrupting himself thing happen when Spinel, White, Yellow and Blue went to see him.
when she hears that Steven left Beach City, Spinel decides to go and look for him, because she did come all that way just to visit him.
at some point she ends up in the same place that Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex is, and she ends up being poofed when she receives damage to her physical body.
before Gregory hops into Freddy’s Chest/Stomach to hide, he ends up finding the heart shape gem that is bigger than his own hands, and decides to take it with him when he hides inside of Glamorck Freddy.
then when Gregory does go out of Freddy, the two watch as the heart gem that Gregory was holding starts to glow and then start to float in the air and reforms into Spinel, still looking like how she first appears in the Steven Universe Movie.
after Gregory and Freddy’s freakout and screaming, which would then cause Spinel to scream in return.
everyone calms down long enough, for Gregory or Freddy to ask who she is and even what she is and what she is doing here.
Spinel could explain a short version, that she is a Polymorphic Sentient Gem who’s “Soul” is housed inside her gem, which happens to be a Heart Shaped Spinel, and it is also her name.
and that some Gems use to be “Bad Guys” but they are reformed now, well most of them are....Eyeball-Ruby and Aquamarine could still be a working progress.
she could keep some secrets about herself from Gregory and Freddy, like how she was abandoned by Pink Diamond, and end up with 6,000 years of trauma because of her.
in this Crossover AU, when Freddy can’t go in certain places, Spinel goes with and stays with Gregory, acting as his Other Guardian and Protector.
and protecting him from the other Glamrock Animatronics, who are acting strange and might be under the influence of Glitchtrap.
over time, Spinel starts to grow attached to Gregory, and becomes very protective of him, even she starts to notice when Freddy acts funny when he starts to run low on power.
and when that happens, she makes sure to tell Gregory to open up the hatch right away before it becomes too late, so she can get him somewhere safe, and then tell Freddy to go find a recharge station FAST and not get distracted.
there could be moments when Spinel gets separated from Gregory,
and when she does meet up with him again, she sees Moondrop chasing after him in the Daycare.
it be interesting if she ends up saying “You Want To Play, Moon-Boy...?”
then reaching into her gem to pull out her gem weapon, which looks like a Toy Hammer....which is like maybe bigger than Amy Rose’s Hammer.
she could then say “Then Let’s Player!” before throwing the hammer down right between Gregory (who is going to recharge his flashlight and almost gets caught by Moony.) and Moondrop, and preventing The Daycare Attendant from grabbing Gregory.
when Spinel does end up getting to the Daycare, she has to guard and defend Gregory, so he can turn on all the generators so the lights in the daycare can come back on.
I still don’t believe Gregory is the one who turned off the lights in the first place, and taking the security badge wouldn’t of done it.
it might turn out to be Vanny who’s doing it.
and when the lights are all back on, and Sundrop is about ready to grab Gregory and pick him up and tell him he is banned from the daycare.
Spinel grabs Gregory instead and has her arms around him and stretches them up far enough so Sunny can’t get to him.
and then she uses her free arm and hand (while the other one is keeping Gregory safe.) and slaps The Daycare Attendant’s hand.
then lectures him that before he goes pointing fingers at Gregory,
he should know that it isn’t possible for him to have turn off all the lights in the daycare, when all he did was just take the security badge and when he does turn on the lights back on, he is still blamed for something that had nothing to do with him.
which her pointing this out, could give her a sad look and remembering what Steven had said before, and knowing that most of his life he was technically his Mom’s scapegoat even if she might of not plan on it, and if she did, then it was just another reason for Spinel to see that Pink wasn’t the best of persons or gems in the universe, if she was willingly gonna put Steven in danger like that so she could escape.
then Spinel could say “your suppose to be a friend, and protect children....if you keep banning them for even the smallest of things, even if they are blamed for something that they didn’t even do, then your no better than the rule breakers.”
Spinel then uses her free hand to open the door and leaves with Gregory.
but just as she places him down, she sees Glamrock Chica and has to stretch her legs high up and holding Gregory in her arms.
sadly unlike in the game, Freddy isn’t nearby or in that place.
both Gregory and Spinel could wonder where Freddy is and what the heck he is doing...?
and soon as Moondrop is allowed to go on his patrols, Spinel hurries out of the entrance and goes inside the recharge station with Gregory, all the whole still holding him protectively.
and unlike Freddy in the game, Spinel is able to see Vanny when Gregory points her out while they are both inside the recharge station.
I like the idea of this Crossover AU, and maybe at some point during the adventure when Spinel’s body gets damaged and she goes poof and having to go back inside her gem.
she reforms into a whole new look from her last two forms.
I think I will draw what it might look like in that Crossover AU.
but yeah “Spinel Breach” would be a Crossover AU where Spinel ends up going to look for Steven, but ends up trapped in the Mega Pizzaplex, and has to protect Gregory from Vanny, Roxy, Chica, Monty and sometimes Freddy.
Spinel could end up being Gregory’s Adoptive Family at some point while they are trying to keep safe from the Glamrocks and Vanny.
and trying to keep safe from Vanessa, too.
I think I will work on that drawing idea that has to do with Spinel in her third form that she takes in Spinel Breach Au.

Lights off, Strap on
—————————————————————————————————
When the lights went off due to a power outage you already knew the worse was going to come, especially when Sun started clawing at his face as he sounded genuinely in pain.
But you didn’t expect for Moon to snatch you by the arm and throw you on the ground roughly the second he was in control.
You also didn’t expect him to wrap ribbons use for making bows or arts and crafts tightly around your wrists keeping them close together as he fumbled with what sounded like a bag that he stashed in the desk the night before that you didn’t know about.
”Moon? What are you doing?” You stuttered quietly, trying to turn your head to see but with it being pitch black due to no lights you’d need a flashlight to see even a shadow of Moon.
However your question went unanswered as the animatronic laughed to himself, the bag now zipped up and heard thrown to the side as he jumbled with the buckle on the object he took with a groan.
You tried wiggling your hands free, grabbing the silky ribbon with the tips of your fingers and pulling up only for it to get seemingly tighter, leaving marks on your skin.
”You turned the lights off. Didn’t you?” He spoke near your ear now and it caused a shiver to run up your spine at the closeness, a cool metal hand tracing up your arm before halting and gripping the plush skin tightly, erupting a whine of protest from you. “Answer.”
”N-No! I didn’t do it. I don’t know what happened.” You exclaimed as you wiggled to get his iron grip free, with a robotic sigh he released your arm, the sound of his body squeaking quietly as he backed away and for a moment you thought he was fine.
But then your pants were abruptly pulled off of you aggressively. Your yelp causing the robot to cackle as he pulled it off you completely and threw it to the side.
”Are you lying?.. To me?” He says, your body jolts at the contact of his cold metal fingers dancing across the expanse of your thighs, goosebumps spread throughout you as you shift in place.
”No. I wouldn’t lie to you.” He hums at your words, his hands halting and poking at the soft flesh before moving up to the swell of your ass and giving a harsh squeeze.
“If you wouldn’t lie to me..” He says, voice dropping to a low whisper as he leans over you, the hands resting on your ass pick the sides of your panties and holds them. “Are you wet.“
Before you can even process a response, he tugs your panties up, the fabric brushing so hard but wonderfully against your clit, and it has you stifling a moan as you shove your face into the padded flooring.
He relaxes his hands back down resting against your ass, still holding your panties firmly. “Naughty girl.” And pulls them back up harsher this time, and you can’t hide the whine that escapes you.
He cackles at this, spreading one of your legs as he dives his hands down to your heat. He toys with you, fingers circling around your pearl and ghosting over your pussy that clenches around nothing.
”Moon.. Don’t tease.” You breathe out, wiggling further down to try and get some type of friction, but he taunts your sensitive spots with a laugh.
”Naughty girls need to be punished.” He cackles, dipped a single finger knuckles deep into you and you moan, cheeks bright red from embarrassment as you look at your tied hands.
He curls the digit before removing it entirely and inspecting the fluid clinging to his finger, dripping down onto his palm.
”Naughty, naughty little thing you are.” He says, pulling your hips up and your ass in the air. “Stay. You need to be punished.”
You shake your head, frustrated as you try to turn your head to look at him, but this time you see a pair of red glowing eyes before you’re being stuffed full with no preparation.
You scream, covering your mouth as the sting burns through your heat, yet you keep sucking him in because god it felt good despite the stretch, and his pace was fast and rough, relentlessly pounding into you.
”You like this don’t you? Little slut.” He hisses, hand snaking down your back and wrapping around the back of your neck pushing your face into the floor.
Your moans are loud and embarrassing as he uses you and you catch a glimpse at the purple of the silicone cock disappearing in your cunt.
So that’s how he’s fucking you.
You choke on a sob when he thrusts rather harshly into you, the head of the dildo bullying your cervix as his other hand moves from your hip down to your stomach and pushes on the spot you can feel it poking at from the inside.
”If only you could see it, you can at least feel it, right?” He moves his hand further down and slaps your clit, a shock running through your body at the contact and it was such a hot mixture of pain and pleasure, the lines between the two were blurred.
”Like being used like the fuck toy you are, hm? Naughty girl, naughty.”
Every word he spat went straight to your pussy, clenching around the cock pounding into your gummy walls and rubbing that spongy spot that had your toes curling.
You moan his name like a mantra, words coming out jumbled as your brain goes to mush from the feeling of his fingers wrapped tightly around your neck.
”Already reduced to a dumb whore, huh?” He snickers, releasing your neck and grabbing a fist full of your hair, pulling it back enough to lift your head off the ground.
”S‘too much!.. ‘M gon, gonna cum!” You slurred, saliva dripping down your chin as your eyes roll to the back of your head, the strap on hitting all the right places leaving a delicious tingly feeling in the pit of your stomach.
”Already? Tsk.” He laughs maniacally, pulling the dildo out and sitting back on the heels of his feet as you stay there wiggling your cute ass in the air.
”No!.. Please, I’ll be good. I can be a good girl!”
”Can you?” He sneers, slapping your ass before rubbing over where the mark will show. “Bad girls don’t get rewards.”
He turns you over onto your back, the cool padded floor sending shivers throughout your body as you look up at the bright red eyes staring back down.
He tilts his head side to side as if contemplating the decision before halting his movements and leaning over you, his hands coming up and gripping the back of your thighs.
”Take your punishment, brat.”
He slams back into you again, you yelp in surprise from the sudden penetration and your cunt squeezes tight around him almost affecting his rhythm.
”Squeezing it this tight? You’re enjoying this, you bad girl.” He hisses as he brings your legs up to press against your chest and thrusts harder into you at the new angle.
You whine, mewl and moan as your head lulls side to side, his name falling off your tongue as the knot in your belly grows tight nearly about to snap.
You try to mask it, acting like you’re not so close to the edge that it’s bringing tears to your eyes. In hopes you can come undone, even if it’s without him knowing.
But he’s smarter than you give him credit for. He grips your face and leans so close his cold metal head is almost touching yours, and he growls at you.
”Are you trying to disobey me? Disgusting slut.” He slaps your clit again and you feel that knot twist even tighter. You look up at him through your lashes dampened by tears as you whine at the bruising pace he’s going at.
”What? Cat got your tongue?” He snickers bringing his hand up and squishing your cheeks to pucker your lips out.
He slows down, shallow and slow but precise thrusts as you try to roll your hips against his, dampening his pants with your juices before he growls and shoves your hips to the floor.
”No, no, no!“ He snarls. “Don’t move, brat.”
”Moon, please!.. Please I’ll do anything!” You whine, moving your arms but remembering the tight ribbon around your wrists.
”Anything, hm?” He laughs and you frown up at him from where you’re forced to lay until you feel him pull out almost entirely, the tip barely in your needy cunt that’s soaked his pants.
”Then take what I give you.” He huffs, ramming the entire length inside you and your eyes roll back, arching up into him as he leans over you and wraps his hand around your neck again. “Like a good girl would.”
You nod pathetically at his words, taking every comment and degrading thing he says and letting it bring you closer. Your pussy tingling with overstimulation that pushes you to your peak quicker than the first two denied times.
You lift your arms but they’re quickly shoved back down to the ground and you mewl as his hand around your throat tightens slightly and his other one comes down to your puffy clit begging for attention.
The cool metal of his thumb rubbing harsh and quick circles around your clit causes you to arch more, eyes closed as your mouth opens in a silent scream, that knot barely hanging on by a thread.
”Go on, cum on me.” He whispers into your ear. “Be a good girl for me.”
The feeling washes over you and you see stars as he continues to bump against that gummy spot inside you. Your legs shaking as your juices gush around the dildo still abusing your spent cunt.
You whimper at the feeling before he stops and sits up, dick still inside you as he just stares down at the mess you made.
”This much? Over a toy?” He laughs, mocking you when your cheeks burn a darker red than before.
Your breathing is erratic, sweat clinging to your body as you lie helplessly on the ground. You groan at the empty feeling when he pulls out, taking the strap off and shoving it back into the bag from before and sliding it off to the side again.
He tilts his head to the side as he looks down at you. Crouching down and picking up your hands before removing the colorful ribbon and letting your arms fall to the padded flooring again.
He laughs as he watches you struggle to sit up, glaring over in his direction as you sit there recalling the events that just happened with flushed cheeks.
The lights turn on when he’s in the middle of making a remark, stiffening upon the sudden brightness before you blink a few times and see a shiny yellow fellow where the Moon had just been.
He‘s extremely worried and scared when he sees the condition you’re in. Mumbling to himself as he stands to his feet and runs over to you.
”Oh nonono! Are you okay? Did he hurt you?” He asks thousands of questions as he examines your physical body for any signs of harm, taking mental notes of the red hand marks on your neck and thighs before he gently lifts you up on your feet.
”I’m okay, Sunny.” You smile up at him, and suddenly you realize how adorable it is that he cares about you all the time.
He claps before jumping over and picking up your clothing that was ripped off and handing it to you, patting your head softly as he inspects your condition more.
”That’s great, Sunshine! I was worried I— He did something.“ He says as his head droops a little at the thought of hurting you. “B-but! You’re okay and it’s fine! Do you wanna play a game, Sweetheart? Do ya? Do ya?”
His enthusiasm causes you to giggle as he does his swaying dance side to side waiting for your answer.
”Hmm, I dunno, Sun. Depends what we play.” You smile, watching as the animatronic brings a hand up to his chin as he thinks for a moment.
”We could play anything! Anything in the world! I just want you to be happy, so you pick, Sunshine!”
You stare wide-eyed up at the Sun who resumes his little dance. Pants still in your hands you squeeze your legs together as you think over his words, the times he would constantly praise you or put your needs above his own and it made you fall for him more.
You grin up at him as a thought crosses your mind and you take his hand in your own.
”I think I have an idea of what we could play.”

Soulmates
Sundrop x reader
Warnings: None, just soulmate fluff
A/N: This came from the fact I actually have a sun/moon tattoo that I got before I even knew about sundrop (matching with my dad lol) and then I got into them so enjoy I guess. please don't hate it.
Tumblr media
It was a weird world you lived in, one where only a select few ever really met their soulmates, the ink on your ankle a constant reminder of the fact that statistically you’d never meet your soulmate. That never stopped you from dreaming about it though, staring down at the tattoo that adorned your ankle in such a spot you could never really show it off in hopes to find the match.
Shortly after you’d graduated college you had found a job in the Pizza plex as a daytime security guard. Of course this meant you were required to wear work boots which meant you couldn't show off your tattoo in hopes maybe some single parent had one as well.
You’d worked there a few months before you were asked to switch positions from your normal spot near Monty golf during the day and start walking through the building during the night shift as well. You hadn’t loved the idea because you knew how easy it was to get lost, but you couldn’t disagree with how much more they’d pay you to stay at night.
Today was your first night shift, of course following a day shift at Monty golf. You stopped in the security office and grabbed your flashlight and energy drink for the night. Fizz Faz tasted like battery acid going down but hey if it meant you wouldn't fall asleep, you’d drink it.
As you walked down the halls of the plex, you scrolled through your phone. Dating apps nowadays were just people posting their tattoos and if you didn’t match you wouldn't even get a right swipe. You sighed as you walked past rockstar row. You knew Monty had a soulmate tattoo of himself obviously, come to think of it most of the rockstar animatronics had soulmate tattoos of something similar to themselves.
It was an interesting thought that animatronics could have soulmates, always making you wonder what else had soulmates. You waved to the animatronics as you passed by their rooms, some winding down for the night, others still up and about in their rooms. As you walked past Freddy's room he waved at you and moved over to his door to catch you for a second. “Hey y/n I have a question for you.” He asked and you stopped near his door.
“What’s up papa bear?” You asked and he put his hand on your shoulder.
“Could you go down to the daycare on your rounds? A little girl had told me she left her plush down there and Vanessa didn’t call it in as lost. Her mother said she’d be back tomorrow to look for it.” He said, concern clearly lining his voice. You’d always admired how caring he was for the kids. Man his soulmate would be super lucky when they found him, if they ever found him.
“I’ve never been to the daycare. I’ll add it to the list. Anything else for me?” You asked and he smiled.
“Be safe, superstar. And have a good night, I’m sure you’ll pass by me again.” He smiled and with that you were on your way through the plex to the daycare. Making your way down the halls you were more so adventuring around parts of the plex you haven't been to.
It wasn't until you made it to a sign saying SUPERSTAR DAYCARE that you even knew you were headed in the right direction. You're so lucky no one has asked you for directions here yet. Walking in, you realized the lights were still on in the actual daycare but everywhere else had the lights turned off about an hour ago. Walking up to the wooden doors, you swiped your access card and opened the door.
Pocketing your flashlight, you thought it’d be easier to look for this plush in the light rather than shutting the lights off. Humming to yourself quietly, you wandered around the play areas. You wished you’d have gotten a description of the toy, not knowing what you were looking for you continued to just keep your eye out.
As you neared the ball pit in the back your ankle started to hurt… actually more like burn. You paused for a second to lean on the play structure so you could rub at it. As you did you heard a very sudden “Hoo hoo!” and suddenly a bunch of balls from the pit flew up into the air. There was someone else here, god you just found out there was a daycare, of course you wouldn’t know there was an animatronic here.
“Hello new friend! What are you doing up so late! Are we having a slumber party!” The animatronic voice was loud as you heard the mechanical footsteps lead towards you. Looking up from your now tingling ankle your heart dropped. The animatronic in front of you had a striking resemblance to the sun and moon inked into your ankle. There’s no way… He was an animatronic, you were just feeling pain from standing all day, that had to be it.
“What's your name, new friend?” He said and excitedly picked you up into a hug, spinning you around. You muttered your name quietly, still feeling your heart almost dropping to your ass. “I’m Sundrop but you can call me Sunny! I’m so excited to meet you new friend! Are you here to play a game? Maybe finger painting or hide and seek?” He set you down, crouching a bit in front of you so he could talk to your face. The feeling in your ankle dulled to a warm tingle.
“Um.. actually I'm here for a stuffed animal. A girl had left it here earlier and told Freddie, so I came to look for it so she could come get it tomorrow.” You said, now set onto stable feet. You were sure if his face could move he would’ve pouted.
“Oh well little friends tend to get lost here often. It's nothing more than some surprise hide and seek! I’ve never lost a game so I'm sure we will find him!” Sunny then led you towards the play structures like a man on a mission. As he walked, your suspicions got the better of you and you glanced down at his shoes, seeing that he was wearing slippers, that would make it so easy to see if he had a matching mark if he’d just stop moving so much.
You watched as he climbed up into the structure, pausing to look back at you. “I’m sorry sunshine but if you want to go into the structures to look you need to take your boots off. Don't want any dirt in there for the kids to get sick or dirty with.” He stated as you glanced down to your boots. Leaning down you unlaced them and chucked them off by the ladder up to the structure.
As you climbed up you felt Sundrop watching you, even though he really had no pupils that you could confirm that with. As you got up onto the structure you huffed and slouched a bit as you crawled through the play structure. Sundrop let you go first and you kept your eye out for any small push you could find. As you crawled you heard Sundrops excited and loud talking about how the little friend must be so scared and how brave you were for coming to find him. After crawling through for a few minutes you got to a small opening and sat down for a second, your neck hurting from ducking so much.
Sunny crawled into the small room after you and tilted his head at you as you pulled out your fazwatch, contacting Freddy and asking if he knew where it could've been or what it looked like. Sunny hummed as you looked up to him. “No, y/n i dont have anything other than that it’s in the daycare. Is Sundrop helping you?” You got a response on the watch.
Sunny perked up a bit and grabbed your arm, speaking into the watch. “Heya Freddy! I’m so sorry to hear about the missing friend! We’re going to find him for you!” Sunny said excitedly to the other animatronic. You couldn’t help but realize how warm his hand was for an animatronic, somehow sending a small tingle onto your arm. There was some small static then Freddy's voice again.
“Hey Sundrop, thank you for helping out y/n. I wish you two good luck.” He said and you sighed a bit, before glancing at Sun who was now staring at where he was holding your arm. He didn’t make any move to remove his hand from you. As he stared at you you took the chance to glance down to his ankle, the same exact pattern that was inked into your flesh, a permanent design etched into the metal of his leg.
“Sunny, I have a question?” You asked as his hand slowly moved down your arm towards your hand where he now wrapped the digits around your hand. He was at a loss for words for the first time since… well almost ever. “Do you know what soulmates are?” You asked quietly and he didn’t even have to respond verbally.
“You are mine! Oh I just knew it! I never thought I'd meet you!” He said and he launched forwards and pulled you into a hug, causing you to fall over in the small area. “Moon always told me that we’d never meet you. I’m so excited!” He said as the bone crushing hug continued on the ground. A smile spread across your face at the sudden warmth surrounding you as the animatronic held you.
You grabbed his rays as he nuzzled uo against your fsce, laughing a bit as you stopped his movements. “Sunny,” You laughed a bit and he paused to look at you.
“Yes, soulmate?” he said excitedly.
“Can we get out of the play structure?” You asked and he giggled, pulling you towards the nearest slide and pulling you down it with him. As soon as you got out he swept you up and spun you around in his arms.
“Oh I’m so happy we’ve met our soulmate! I’m so excited! We have to have a slumber party now! We can stay up all night and I can show you everything!” He said excitedly and you smiled against his shoulder as he jumped around excitedly. As he spun your eye caught a faded pink cloth near the end of the slide.
“Sunny, hang on!” You said and he paused his jumping as you pointed to the lost plush. Picking it up he squealed. “I’m sure this is hers.” You said quietly and he squealed. Pushing your watch to contact freddy you got an immediate response. “Freddy we found it… and also did you know Sundrop was my soulmate?” you said happily. Just hearing the word made your heart warm, but it also made Sundrop quite literally shake in happiness.
“It took you long enough. We all knew the moment you showed us yours.” Monty was heard excitedly in the background of Freddy’s call. You just laughed and shook your head. God these animatronics were so interesting. “We’ll handle patrol tonight. You two spend some time together.” Freddy spoke from your watch. Sunny almost immediately scooped you back into his arms and spun around with you again excitedly.

Perhaps a female security guard reader singing “fly me to the moon” to herself while she walks around the pizzaplex and Moon just crushing real hard, because I think that would be real cute- (they/them is also fine!)
"Fly me to the moon, let me play among the stars~ Let me see what spring is like on Jupiter and Mars~"
Moon didn't mean to stalk you. Usually he wouldn’t care what the night guards were doing, but when he heard you singing such a wonderful melody while walking around, he couldn't help but he drawn to you.
Like a sailor to a siren.
Not to mention your choice of song was rather endearing. Such a sweet and classical tune that filled his audio receptors with much glee--better than any loud rock or disco music that stupid DJ spider ever played.
Sun hadn’t shut up about him having a “crush”, though his nighttime counterpart ignored his childish teasing.
He just silently followed you into Rockstar Row. He wanted to take advantage of the currently powered-down state of the building. With all lights off he was able to roam freely, unlike the skittish Sun who’d rather stay confined to the daycare all day and all night.
The cable quietly squeaked as he glided above you, though you didn’t seem to notice him at all.
As you stopped to observe the currently snoozing Glamrock Freddy, Moon couldn’t help but grimace.
If it were up to him, he’d put that bear in hibernation. Permanently. Doesn’t he already get enough attention during the day?
Thankfully, your visit to that green room was a short one, and so you continued on, resuming that song.
“You are all I long for, all I worship and adore~ In other words, please be true~ In other words~ In other words-”
“I love you~”
Moon was just so wrapped-up in the moment that he couldn’t help but join in. And that ultimately gave away his presence.
Your shoes loudly squeaked against the floor as you stopped. Then you turned around to shine your flashlight up at the lunar jester causing him to freeze in place.
“Holy shi--Moon?? Why are you out here?!” You huffed, watching him drop to the floor with a stern glare on your face. “It’s almost six! You can’t be outside the daycare-”
“You sing beautifully, Miss Officer [Y/n].”
“..y-you were listening to me?” Blinking, you just stared at him in disbelief, before growing flustered that he heard you sing that entire song and you never realized it.  “You know Frank Sinatra?”
“Hmmm, maybe.” He spoke in a hushed, hoarse whisper, chuckling quietly. “You should sing more often. It suits you and your pretty face~”
“S-Sure, I will.”
"Good. Now nighty-night. I will see you again soon.”
Leaping back up into the air, Moon reattached himself to the cable and departed for the daycare. You just sighed and shook your head, amused at his antics. He likes to act creepy, with his glowing red eyes and sneaky behavior, but for some reason he’s been rather sweet to you.
You’ll clock out for now, go home, and maybe come back later before the Pizzaplex closes.
Surely, Sun might know something that you don’t.

I can see Gregory admitting to Moon that if he had known about Moons cable calling ability, and had the means to, he probably would’ve taken it for Freddy like he did the other upgrades. Moon tried his best not to fall over at the admition.
But like... what if he did though >:3
Like he found out about it through the logs, something about it heightening security but it also scares the shit out of the employees to see him crawling around on the ceiling.
Don’t know how he would be damaged, but in his infected state he doesn’t exactly... think about things logically? It’s a cruel idea but my immediate reaction is “trick him into the tube while the lights are off.” Freddy wouldn’t be around, he’d be charging, and Moon would be out roaming since it’s the end of the hour. Moon isn’t stupid, but if Gregory made a mess in the cylinder before running out he would run in there and clean it up. Maybe he could discover through the logs how it was all done through a metal plate in the animatronics back, and when he tricked the corrupted attendant to go into the cylinder he could activate the machine to lock him down. Cue minigame to detach back panel and take out the mechanism before Moon gets out.
Or... the more savage option, and in my opinion, the one he’d most likely take being as his general lack of chill: tricking Moon into breaking himself. He can move between floors easily by climbing on the walls, but he has to go high to do it. If Gregory made enough mess on one high up section of the pizza plex while being chased, or managed to sneak up on him while he was climbing and cut the wire, Moon would fall and break open his back panel. Thus giving Gregory the chance to go down to where he fell and remove the metal plate and hook combination and leave while he was still stunned from the fall.
Even if it couldn’t be used with Freddy due to the differences between the builds, if not that Gregory could probably attach it to something like a backpack. It would reduce speed but give Gregory the ability to use the cable to lift above the animatronics for short periods of time. Freddy absentmindedly mentions how he remembers that “one of those brothers” usually used something like that to get around, but wouldn’t notice it because unlike his friends he doesn’t know Moon very well.
Meanwhile, Moon would be unable to use it. And... navigate in general. Falling from the ceiling without warning is PAINFUL. He only ever uses it to move around, and it’s just GONE suddenly. Infected or not he would be furious and distressed and probably more then a bit lost trying to go.. anywhere really. He can’t get back to the daycare, he doesn’t know where it is from where he fell, and the light drives him mad, so he stays huddled in the darkness, watching but not a threat anymore. Gregory can still be attacked by him, if either the lights are off or if he gets too close to Moons current hiding place (kind of like how you basically have to stand on damaged Monty to get jumpscared by him). Instead of that goofy walk he normally does, he goes much faster to grab Gregory when it’s dark out. Now it’s not just chasing a naughty child around, fucking with him slightly and leaving when the lights turn on, he is PISSED and in a lot of pain with no way to vent it.
But when the lights are on, he just curls up in the darkest place he can find and hisses at passing by security bots who shine their flashlights at him in confusion.
Sun notices that Moon hasn’t been moving a lot from the tracker, but doesn’t want to invade his privacy so doesn’t check his stats. And frankly, he’s a bit relieved to have some time to himself without worrying about his demonic brother. Moon refuses to reach out to him about the situation.

Part XXV: Night at the Museum
Author’s Notes: A direct continuation of the previous chapter. I was going to do the science museum thing all in one, but it turned out really long, so I figured I’d split it up. Ngl, didn’t proof read it yet, but I wanted to upload it. Will do later.
Genre: Fluff & Angst
Summary: The three of you spend the night inside the museum and continue with scavenging the next day. Things are still a bit tense between you and Joel. Kiddo has a few lines and her identity is revealed at the end.
Ship: Joel Miller x Fem!Reader
The three of you began to walk down another hallway, no longer illuminated by whatever sunlight came through the windows. Kiddo was first to turn on her flashlight. A Walk Through the Stars , you read the title of the next exhibit in your head. Abruptly, she stopped right before entering the room completely.
Joel walked around her motionless body and noticed her widened eyes. “You don’t like it. We can...umm…(Y/N) can stay in the other room with you while I clear this one, then we can---”
“Are you kidding?” Kiddo finally spoke. Though soft, her voice emanated throughout the room and traveled to your ears. You couldn’t believe it.
She proceeded to take in the space exhibit in all its glory. You and Joel exchanged glances before looking back at her. She was so preoccupied with the artifacts lining the display cases that she forgot about clearing the room. Joel watched her have fun for a moment longer before following you as you swept the area.
He signalled you an all-clear and you nodded. The two of you joined in and enjoyed the artifacts as if you were guests.
“(Y/N), C’mere” He waved you over to where he was standing. “You think they could use this back home?” He waved his light on the array of solar panel prototypes against the wall.
You shrugged. “Probably. It would definitely help, but I don’t know who’d know how to make it work.”
“I’m sure Tommy knows somebody who can.” He replied. He looked over at you, but you refused to look back. You could feel his eyes on you. Finally, he tore them away to watch Kiddo climb onto a rover replica that was further into the room. “Listen (Y/N), I’m sorry about what I said back there.” His voice lowered.
“Now’s not the time.” You responded flatly.
“She can’t hear us.” He nodded back at Kiddo.
“I don’t care. I’m not doing this now. We can talk about this when we get home.” With that, you left him to stand there alone as you walked over to the rover display. He let his head fall and sighed before following you.
“Where’s the steering wheel on this thing?” Joel asked out loud.
“They use joysticks.” Kiddo explained in brevity. She moved it around for Joel to see.
He began to examine the small vehicle. “Huh...hang on! Is this the real one?”
A dry chuckle left your lips. “Considering they left the real ones on the moon, I would say no.” He glanced up at your reply. Kiddo obliviously made engine noises with her mouth as she steered the joy stick.
“Can we make camp here?” She spoke up again.
“I don’t see why not.” Joel answered. You began to barricade the entrance to the exhibit while Joel prepped the area for sleep. A metallic knocking sound echoed through the room. He turned to see Kiddo messing with a small cabin capsule. She peered through the tiny window before attempting to open its door. With a grunt, Joel got up and opened it for her; the metal screeched as he did. She peered her head in with the flashlight and deemed it safe. “I want to sleep in here tonight.” She looked up at him, her eyes asking if it were ok.
“You sure you want to? It looks mighty cramped in there.” She nodded. He glanced inside to see two seats. “S’pose you’d fit in there just fine.” He nodded before walking away. “Looks like it’s just the two of us.” He said to your back as you faced the barricade. You let out a sigh and prepped an area between him and the capsule to sleep on.
Joel’s body naturally woke. Being in a windowless room, he had no sense of time. Reflexively, he looked down at his watch. He would do that from time to time before remembering that it wasn’t going to give him an answer. He laid his head back on the backpack that he used as a pillow while his thumb brushed over the cracked face of the watch. Thinking of Sarah made him think of Kiddo. Quietly, as to not wake you, he walked over to the capsule and peered through the tiny window. He barely saw you, but he could tell she was still sleeping too.
Regardless of the time, Joel decided to start his day. He went back to the janitor’s closet he stumbled upon yesterday and grabbed a tool bag. The sun beamed down on him as he walked the distance back to where he left the truck.
*****
Joel removed the screwdriver he used as a key from the ignition. He took a deep breath in front of the museum entrance as he thought about you. He knew you’d be awake by now. Deservingly, he was sure you’d still give him the cold shoulder. He decided to focus his energy on bringing one of those solar panels down and give you space. Thinking about it, you were right; last night was not the time.
*****
Back at home, the three of you unloaded the pickup truck full of scavenged goodies. Joel had to admit, he did not think you guys would find so much stuff of use from a museum. Tommy and another guy helped him move the solar panel while you and Kiddo delivered some farming tools to the gardeners. The scavenge also produced books for the library and school, medical texts for the infirmary and seeds for new crops amongst other things.
He had no idea where you were after the truck was cleared out and returned to the garage. You were not at home, so he was on his way to the daycare. Surely, you were there with Kiddo. He was both ready and not ready to have this talk with you. He knew how he felt, but wasn’t sure how to express it. He also didn’t want to have this dragging on unresolved any longer. While it was a trip with the purpose of acquiring supplies and training Kiddo, he also wanted to have a good time. He reminded himself to count his blessings: there were no run-ins with any infected or otherwise. Things could have gone worse. As he wondered whether he overreacted or not, he felt a hand fall on his shoulder.
“Joel, I’m glad I caught you.” Wendy said.
“I came to see if (Y/N) was here.” He replied. “Why, what’s wrong?”
“Oh, nothing’s wrong. You just missed (Y/N). The girl too. She took her and some of the other kids on an impromptu field trip to the library to see some of the new stuff you guys brought over. I’m sure they’ll be back later on this evening. But what I wanted to see you about was this.” She handed him a folded sheet of paper. The edges were ragged on the left side as if it were torn out of a book. “She wanted me to give this to you just in case she didn’t get the chance today.”
It was a homemade card. On the cover was a drawing of a bright green T-Rex with a brown, wide brimmed hat on its head. His lips curled up in a smile before he opened the card. In colorful letters, it simply said Thank You and at the very bottom, it was signed with her name.
His eyebrows raised as he scratched his beard. “Ellie.” He breathed out her name.

Today was the day Peter was dreading; it was the first day he wasn’t going to see Meredith since he found out. Gamora had the day off and admitted she missed hanging out with the little girl. Peter agreed, realizing this would be the only way he would get work done.
Between switching tasks, Peter decided to take a short break and listen to another episode of Everyday's a Monday. He laid on the couch in his and Bucky’s office slipping on his headphones and clicked on episode #12 of 129. He has been trying to listen to them when he had time, but he wanted to hang with Meredith as much as he could. He hasn’t heard anything about himself yet like Meredith mentioned, and he still couldn’t remember the nickname you gave him. You haven’t even talked yet, but Wanda has talked an awful lot about you. He closed his eyes as Wanda began the introductions.
"Hey, beautiful people, today's guest on the show is Dr. Helen Cho, our favorite OBGYN. And you won’t believe it, but YN agreed to join us at the end and tell us a bit about her adorable baby girl, Meredith. Que the intro.”
Dr. Cho spoke about the baby forming, c-sections, and menstrual cycles. Like how the sex of a baby can be better determined at twelve weeks after conception. During c-sections, mothers are awake. Menstrual cycles take a while to come back especially if the mother is breastfeeding. It was a lot of information about women’s bodies Peter never thought about.
“I want to thank Dr. Helen Cho for coming in and speaking with us.  I hope our listeners enjoyed the conversation and learned a thing or two. Unfortunately, she had to rush off to deliver more beautiful babies into the world, and I hope she will stop by again. Anywho, it’s time for our next part of the podcast talking with my good friend and producer of this show, YN.”
“Thanks for blackmailing me to come on my own show.”
“Ignore her. I would never do such a thing,” Wanda tittered. “With us talking about pregnancy and birthing today, YN does have an interesting story of how she came into the world. Would you mind sharing?”
“Of course not, I mean it fits the topic of the week. My mom suffered from ovarian cysts, and most of the time they got so bad she needed surgery to remove them. My parents started debating if it was even worth to keep trying to get pregnant if my mother continued to suffer from this. Then a few days before surgery to remove them, the doctors were performing an ultrasound, and ‘tada’ found me. They delayed the surgery until after I was born. Then a year or two later, my family decided to adopt, and that’s when Gamora and Nebula came into my life. We might not be sisters by blood, but we did become a family.”
“You’re sisters are the best. Her sister, Nebula, travels the world as a photographer and always brings back the best gifts. Gamora is a badass lawyer who works at Coulson & Associates.  Then you’re the hotshot producer, and you’re doing it all while raising your 5-year-old daughter, Meredith. How do you handle being a single mother?”
“It can be hard, but I’m fortunate to have my parents and sisters willing to help me if I need it. I remember the first year being the hardest, especially the nights I was alone, but somehow I managed to pull through. At the time, I was living with my sisters because all the money I made went to paying for daycare. Most weekends my sisters helped, and forced me to get out, but I would only be gone for a few hours before I had to connect myself to the milk machine, again,” you chuckled. “I don't miss that at all. Around six months, things got easier because she got on a schedule.”
“Schedules are nice. I know with my twins, Me and Vis struggled, and to this day we still don’t know how we did it.”
“Oh yes, I bet it was like a daze for the first few months.”
“You have no idea. Does the dad know about Meredith?”
“No,” you sighed. “I know it's wrong, but when I tried to tell him I was pregnant it never felt like a good time? The one time it felt right something came up, and I waited which lead to more waiting and more waiting until I never got the chance to tell him.”
“Does she know about her dad? Or ask about him?”
“Yes, I tell her everything she wants to know. I promised I wouldn't keep anything about her dad from her. She deserves to know him, and when I find the courage, I will tell him.”
“At least you’re not keeping her in the dark about him.  Some mothers don’t even share the details with their children because it’s too painful to talk about.”
“It’s hard, but I’m not going to keep the side of her, that is her father, from her. If that makes sense? Anyways, I make sure to tell her the good stuff about him and keep it simple. Like when I first met him or our first date,” you chuckled. “At least I didn’t think it was a date to start with at least.”
“Oh, I hear a story coming. Story…story…story,” Wanda chanted.
“Okay, I will share my first not a date date with…him......
There was a knock at your door, pulling you out of your dream. You leaned up, stretching your neck out, and realized you had fallen asleep on your computer. You rubbed your eyes as they adjusted to the soft glow coming from the desk lamp in your dark dorm room. Someone knocked on the door again as you stood up to answer it. When you pulled open the door, you squinted your eyes to try and shield them from the harsh hallway lights.
“Wow! You look like you’ve seen better days,” he chuckled.
“Thanks, man,” you sighed, leaving the door open for him to enter.
“Oh my god, did a twister come through here? Why are their papers everywhere?”
“I’m writing a paper, and it’s due in like 25 hours, and I haven't even started.”
He stared at your computer screen. “According to this, you have 537 pages. Is this for a music class?”
“What? Why would you ask that?” You shoved past him to see the screen.
“Because it says aaaaaaaaaaaallllllllll909. It's like you’re testing your vocal cords, but what's with the numbers?”
“Shut up---” you pushed on his chest “-- so I fell asleep.”
“Explains the keyboard marks on your face,” he snorted, making you roll your eyes. He scrolled up to the first page to see the title. “Insert fucking title. Wow, great title for your essay.”
“Shut up. I can't think of what to write about,” you confessed, running your hands down your face.
“I think you need a new perspective,” he said as you shot him an annoyed look. “Maria told me you've been locked in here since Friday. It’s not healthy, YN. She also told me she would like her bed back.”
“What are you---oh my god, I’m a terrible roommate! No wonder why she left last night and didn't stay. I can’t even see her bed.” You stared wide-eyed at Maria’s bed, running your hands through your hair.
“Hey, how about we clean this mess up, and I’ll get you out of here for a few hours.”
“But it's 11 pm.”
“On a Sunday! Come with me, I got a plan.”
He convinced you to leave your paper behind and drove you out of the city. You watched out the window as the city disappeared behind you. “Where are we going?”
“We’ll be there in about ten minutes or so?”
You sat in silence, staring out into the darkness. He always came up with the best plans, so what could he have planned on such short notice? You knew he wasn’t going to give you any details, so you turned the radio to your favorite station to fill the silence. All of a sudden one of your favorite songs started playing, and you belted out the lyrics. He laughed at you before he started singing along, too. He turned onto a gravel road and into what looked like a parking lot. He turned off the car and told you to follow him. Turning on his flashlight, he led the way.
“Dude, wait up, I can’t see shit without a flashlight.”
“Shit, sorry.” He grabbed your hand, and you felt a sensation you couldn’t explain.
He led you up to a small hill to clearing right over a cliff. The sight before you took your breath away. You could see all the stars in the sky and hear the crickets chirping nearby. The moon reflected off the flowing river in the distance as the city lights were shining on the horizon. The slight breeze sent a shiver down your spine and goosebumps to your skin.
“It’s beautiful.”
“This place has always helped me clear my head. I don’t know if it’s the stars in the sky or the fresh air, but I thought it would help you, too.” He squeezed your hand. “And you can blow off steam here, too.”
“Care to demonstrate, Star-Lord.”
“Haha, you’re hilarious. Listen to this--” he let go of your hand and put them around his mouth and shouted “--PROFESSOR FURY OR FURRY, HOWEVER, YOU SAY IT, YOU’RE A REAL A-HOLE.” He smiled, turning back to you. “See now I feel better.”
“Do you really?”
“Yes. Give it a shot.”
You repeated his position and shouted. "WHAT THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO WRITE ABOUT FOR THIS FUCKING PAPER? THIS CLASS IS A FUCKING JOKE?” You put your hands back at your sides and chuckled. “I do feel better for some strange reason. Thanks, I needed this.”
“I know,” he winked, making you scoff. He reached for your hand as you continued to stare out at the view. His fingers intertwined with yours, sending a warm and tingling feeling coursing through your body.
You glanced over at him, catching him staring at you. “Why are you staring at me?”
“Care to dance?”
“There’s no music,” you commented as he hit play on his Walkman around his waist; you never understood why he always carried it around with him wherever he went. Music started to play over his headphones. “Smart ass!”
He takes his free hand and places it on your waist, sending a spark shooting up your back. He pulls you closer to him as your breath quickens. He raises your conjoined hands in the air, forcing you to roll your eyes. He tilted his head at your arm dangling beside you before tilting it to his shoulder. You obliged and placed your hand on his shoulder. You shake your head at him, trying to hide the smile from appearing on your face. Both of you started to move to the slow quiet music playing through his headphones. When you glanced back up at him, he was gazing at you with this boyish smirk on his face.
“Is this the trick you pull to get all the girls?” You asked with a shy smile on your face.
“No, I don't usually need tricks. Most of the time, all I have to do is smile, and girls fall at my feet.”
You scoffed, slapping him on his chest. “They do not.”
“No, they don't,” He confirmed with a quick snicker. “You’re the first and only girl I brought to this place. I knew you were the only one who would appreciate it and see the beauty in it.”
“I do,” you grinned, staring at his chest, feeling the heat rush to your cheeks.
“If you had the chance to do something you always wanted to do, but you would be risking everything. Would you take the chance, or would you not and regret for the rest of your life?”
Your head snapped up to him, and you could see something in his eyes you have never seen before. He stared at your lips as his eyes drifted back up to yours. He started to lean in but stopped short right before his lips could touch yours.
“That's a risk I am willing to take,” you whispered, leaning in to kiss him.
“Wow! Is it hot in here or is it just me? Woo! Damn, Star-lord sure knows how to plan a great date, or in this case, not a date date. How did you two meet?”
“Second semester of my sophomore year of college. I was sitting in class half paying attention and half not. I had one earbud in and was doodling all over my notes. I think it was an economics class with one of those monotone professors. You know the type, where you stare at the clock and wish time went by faster.”
“I hated those professors!”
“Anyways, I was listening to my music and doodling when someone nudged the back of my chair. I ignored it, and then all the sudden I felt a piece of paper slide down my shoulder. I opened it up and it said something like, ‘Enjoying the tunes. Why am I not listening to music instead of this boring professor?' I peeked over my shoulder, and I'm sure I had the look like ‘what the fuck’ on my face. Oh crap, I’ll have to bleep that out later,” you chuckled. “As I said, I turned around, and he smiled and nodded at me. I acknowledged him and went back to doing what I was doing. When class ended, I was walking, and he came up next to me and introduced himself.  He had this boyish smile that drew me in and made him look so carefree. It wasn’t even a full on grin, but it was a little sexy smirk thing he did that drove me crazy. Anyways, we ended up forming this great friendship, which morphed into something more."
“Awwww cute. How long did you two date?”
“A little over two years.”
“Star-Lord seems like the guy who knew how to romance a lady”
“Sometimes,” you breathed a chuckled. “Other times he failed miserably, but he’s a great guy.”
“When was the last time you spoke to him, if I may ask?” Wanda questioned with curiosity in her voice.
“About 5 years ago,” you stated without hesitation.
“Wow, a dramatic yet romantic way to end this week’s episode. If you like this podcast, please rate, comment, and subscribe to us wherever you get your podcasts. Until next time, from all of us here at Everyday’s a Monday, have a great rest of your week.”
Peter zoned out as the episode ended and stared up at the ceiling. Star-Lord. Star-Lord, how did he forgot the nickname you gave him? That night was one of his favorite moments with you, and he even documented it was an out of focus photo taken on his flip phone. It was the same photo Meredith found in the shoebox under your bed; the one with you smiling and laughing at the camera as he gazed at you. It was one of his favorite not a date dates, and he hated to admit it, but that night he knew you were the girl he wanted to marry.

AN: How about that? What did you think about Wanda being the host for Everyday’s a Monday? I think she's got potential, I mean it is only episode #12. You learned a few tidbits about the readers past, but there is still a lot left to uncover. What did you think about their first not a date date or about how they met?  Comments always encourage and as always thanks for reading!
