I liked this blog thread, but I didn't want to give @thefloralmenace or @caitas-cooing any extra reblogs because I checked their blogs & they both posted "Free Palestine" content (I didn't read it, I saw a Free Palestine" picture, I don't want to give them more likes on their page), so I just took two pictures of the blog thread.

Is that bad form? I didn't want to give them a like or upvote, but should I have just ignored the blog thread entirely as that still keeps it off their like/reblog counter?

It's just annoying when I see a thread I otherwise like, but one of the people involved has an opinion I don't want to promote even by proxy, whether that's pro-Hamas, pro-Putin, TERF or general anti-LGBT (I haven't screened for anything else yet, but there are other things I should screen for). How do we get around that? I'm not interested in blocking everyone I don't like so I don't see their stuff in my feed entirely (know your enemy) but I don't want to give them more clicks when I see something that's not bad.

Hello. I’m a cis bi woman looking to write some books with a variety of sexuality and gender identities. If I do the proper research is it okay to write trans/genderfluid/nonbinary characters? I ask this with the idea that my books might head in a spicy/smutty direction but not intending to fetishize.

As a trans man, I’d say yes. If more people don’t venture out to write more diverse characters, than we aren’t going to get more diverse characters. You already plan on doing research, I’d just suggest that maybe that research include speaking with people who have the same identity as your character so they can help you navigate away from what may be perceived as any fetishization.
