But as the ceremony starts, DJ suddenly gets cold feet and yanks her hand away. This. Is a shock.
Mitch, downing a cocktail: Oh boy.
[This happened because I sent DJ to the arch with low needs. It didn't occur to me that it might cause her to say no because this has never happened in my gameplay outside of the Don/Cassandra script. I seriously considered quitting without saving because Dirk and DJ were such a wholesome couple, but because this is such a rare event for me, I decided that what happened, happened.]
How dramatic!

[Quarantine Marathon] "Independance Day" Part 5
Max: Not really. I've just never seen him so upset. I have this weird feeling that… he's just gonna leave without even saying goodbye.
Liz: You know, maybe, because if he did… he wouldn't be able to go through with it.
— That's a nice theory, really. But Michael can surprise us…
— That quiet moment when Liz puts her hand on Max's shoulder… That silence support… That silence support… Sometimes, that's all someone needs… 😢❤️🩹
— In spite of what Michael says, neither Isabel nor Max consider their earth home all that homely. They consider the trio to be their true 'home'. It's just tragic that Michael doesn't realize that.
Michael: Say goodbye, Max.
Max: I can't.
Michael: We'll keep in touch, all right?
Max: It's not good enough.
Michael: Well, it's gonna have to be, all right? So say goodbye.
Max: I can't.
— In a roundabout way, Liz was right. Michael can't say goodbye, so he wants Max to say it, to spare himself the pain.
Max: You keep telling me how lucky I am to have a great home, great parents. But in one way, it's harder for me, because when I screw up, I have no excuses. But you, you can do and say anything you want because you have Hank, and you can blame it on that.
— Max predicted not only how other characters see them, but also how the audience sees them. Perfect.
— Michael went away on a whim, because he didn't want to look weak, but Max's words and the package cut through him like a knife.
Isabel: I didn't know you could cook.
Michael: Yeah, well, uh, there's a lot you don't know about me.
Isabel: Yeah. You're full of surprises.
— Finally, Isabel had the right attitude! 👏
— As formal as he is, the judge's words are incredibly heartwarming, as is the fact that Isabel and Max are there to support their alien alien brother❣️
— Nasedo is 'protecting' Michael from Hank, but what would Michael say if he knew that it was Nasedo who killed Hank? Would he still be so eager to meet him? 🤔

@cithaerons omg i actually think the dreamers does a refreshing job of empathizing with (and romanticizing lol) theos and isabelle's union above all else as a narrative of codependency thriumphing over outsider influences so im interested in hearing more abt this take 👁️👁️
