He studied the hilt in his hand and frowned. Pain and fear coiled around the designs etched into the surface. He knew if he ignited one side the blade would be crimson with rage, but the other side still glowed white with hope. Still uncorrupted- still held a chance. He pressed the pads of his fingers against the protection mark etched into the hopeful side; green and jagged. Twined leather encircled just below the mark and clung to a crudely whittled miniature Mookie.

Warmth raced up his arm-

Cal set the lightsaber down carefully. Getting lost in emotions wasn't going to help him, no, it was only going to hurt him further. Each hopeful or happy memory was like a thin cut from a vibrodagger- bleeding him of his soul.

He had lost everything and everyone with his actions. He could almost hear the ghost of Dagan calling him a hypocrite- that man plagued his dreams when he got the chance to sleep. The Fallen Jedi was right though, Cal had become the greatest hypocrite of them all.

When he closed his glowing eyes he could still see with dangerous clarity the moment everything went wrong- the moment he had picked wrongly. He could still taste the fire in his lungs. --- continued on ao3.

Reached the doctor's office on the 1st attempt today. Impressed.

They don't do covid vaccinations (:

#no of course not #why would they #it's completely irrelevant #who needs it anyway #i love life #it's absolutely amazing they don't offer vaccinations against covid anymore #i couldn't be more pleased #i'm not mad at it #it is fine #so very fine #i will not despair because of it #got an appointment for a blood test on Friday though #so i achieved at least Something #i will have to drive there myself for the first time #because no trains #probably will have to drive my mother to work and then to the doctor's office and then bring the car back to my mother's workplace #and walk home from there #because it's only like 2.5 kilometers but my mother has a lot of stuff to carry to bring to work #(and the weather is probably gonna be awful)#and the doctor's office is over 6 kilometers away which is not a distance i will comfortably walk #i mean i could #but I'd be stressed and annoyed and probably drenched when i arrive because it's probably gonna rain #it's an ✨️opportunity✨️ to practice my driving skills ♡#let's see it positively #void screams

i just feel like the selfship community is both extremely welcoming but so quick to turn on people

the whole point is to find comfort in having your favorite characters in your brain and stuff right? for me at least i kinda separate the f/o versions of those characters from canon. if your f/o doesnt age in canon you can imagine them aging in your head its fine. (not the same as being an adult and shipping with a minor, but youre not stupid, reader, you know that)

i cannot express how little of a deal this is. it is not important at all nobody cares except insane people online. as long as youre not being a fucking creep i dont care. you are fucking human do what you want
