Hardcase, nodding along with them: So we all came out here to get away from his snoring, otherwise we'd just not get any sleep and we'd end up zombies in the morning... Rex, crossing his arms: His snoring isn't that bad! You usually sleep through it just fine! Fives: Yeah, because its usually tolerable. breaking bad is great. I watch walter white try to kill a fly. I think wow I love these symbolic intros. the fly is not an intro bit. I watch an entire episode about walter and jesse trying to kill a fly. all those tumblr textposts about how funny breaking bad is and nobody told me about The Fly Episode.

#very non-standard episode but a welcome one #made me sympathize with walter for the first time in a while which was interesting #I think the comedy in the show has shifted somewhat from the beginning it’s still a serious show but the comedy is more frequent now #before it was a dark comedy in the sense that it had occasional comedic dialogue and some of the dark elements could be also be kinda funny #ex: jesse tries to melt a corpse in a bathtub and it crashes through the ceiling #now it’s a dark and a (little bit) comedy #neither of these are bad I like both I just think it’s interesting #breaking bad #talk tag

Just noticed a lovely little costume detail in this scene and had to share.

Under their fleecy coats Rory and Jess's shirts are pretty much exactly the same shade of purple. I like to kind of read that as a subtle visual cue that while they might be in opposition on the surface (arguing about Luke and the chalk outline prank), under that there's this inherent kinship between them. It's like they're LITERALLY cut from the same cloth.

(Even the way Jess's coat is buttoned up and Rory's is open implying that he's more guarded about his inner self at this stage - god I love the costuming on this show!)

Dinner at the crap shack with post original series! Lorelai, Luke, Sookie, Jackson and Jess who’s visiting (bonus points if Rory happens to be around too), and at some point early in the table conversation Lorelai and Jess make the exact same joke at the exact same time and freeze in horror.

And they try to play it cool, maybe one of them says «jinx you owe me a Coke» but then it happens again, and then again, and it keeps happening why do they have the same banter?? It’s scaring the hell out of them both (and giving the rest of the table some hilarious newfound clarity)
