JOHN S.O.A.P. ~ CHAPTER 21
Tuesday, 4/2/24
SCRIPTURE:
When daybreak came, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not know it was Jesus.
~ John 21:4
OBSERVATION:
These guys were fishing at night... (verse 3)
...doing what they have always done...
Then, "...daybreak came..."
and "...Jesus stood on the shore..."
but they "...did not know it was [Him]..."
How often am I doing what I usually do, in the darkness, the night, of my own strengths (weaknesses) and willfulness...
...with Jesus standing on the shore, watching...
...seeing me cast my net on the wrong side of my boat...
...telling me to try the other side... (verse 6)
...where the blessings of His strength and will are swimming beyond my ability to haul in...?
APPLICATION:
Look for Jesus standing on the shore of my everyday actions...
PRAYER:
Guiding Heavenly Father - I ask forgiveness for not recognizing Your presence in everything I do or try to do... Thank You for being there in the darkness, ready to change what I always try to do at the daybreak of realizing Who You are compared to who I think I am... May I respond as the disciples did and follow Your instructions without question or debate... In Jesus's Name, and for Your honor and praise...
Tomorrow we go to John's first letter...
For Him... for you... for yours...

The Vitalness of Love
John 21: 15-17 When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.” Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.” The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John,…

Capharnaum, and the Peter Stone
Tabgha also has another church built around another significant stone. The experience of being there, and praying, Dave and both knew Capharnaum was the right next place to visit. #Capernaum PetersHouse #PrimacyofPeter

JOHN S.O.A.P. ~ CHAPTER 21
Tuesday, 11/8/22
SCRIPTURE:
Then Jesus served them the bread and the fish.
~ John 21:13
OBSERVATION:
Jesus continued to model service... even after the resurrection...
Who am I to think I've "done enough" for others - or for Him?
APPLICATION:
Continue to look for areas to serve others...
...and Him... ("...whenever you serve the least of these...")
PRAYER:
Lord God Almighty - forgive my shortsightedness, seeing only what can be done for me and not what You would have me do for those in my life... and for Your kingdom which is coming... May Your Spirit continue to wake me up and draw my attention to Your activity, and like Jesus, do the small things that may be overlooked by others, but that mean the most in Your will for my life... In Jesus's Name and footsteps, and for Your honor and glory and praise...
As always, gratefully yours always, joyfully in all ways... through Him...
