Recently someone called me “natural” and I didn’t like it. It didn’t feel like a compliment. But it helped shine a light on a part of me I love. I coach my Clients to “Face and Embrace” all the time and that comment allowed me to practice what I preach. So here I am, no makeup, no filter, wearing my favorite color, stumbling across some asparagus shining brilliantly, naturally, wildly. I am natural. I am wild. I like to get fancy and I like to get dirty. I am professional and always learning. I am self employed and scatterbrained. I am a networker and anxiety ridden. I am a fashionista and messy. I am an adventurer and a home body. I am an environmentalist and a consumer. I am a multifaceted gem of a human just like you. If you struggle showing up in the world the way you want to be seen let’s chat! There are so many ways I can help you be seen in a way that aligns with your values and passions. Be careful though, you just might get what you wish for and have to recognize how much you love being that way and being seen that way. 🌟 🌼 🌾 #asparagusfern #asparagus #asparagusgetsme #faceandembrace #natural #naturalwoman #wild #wildwoman #nofilter #nomakeup #styleconfidence #confidence #showup #beseen #beyou #powercolor #yellow #yellowasparagus #confidencestylist #alignment #boldwomen #passingjudgment #judgingyourself #innercritic #innerdialogue #environmentalist #sustainablestylist #manysides #skindeep #godeeper (at Hector, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/CkMUpASvRqX/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

The thing about being #selfconscious is... you're #judgingyourself ALL the time. #torturing yourself with questions of: "am I good enough? Am I doing it right? What will other people think? What if...?" And, what I don't think is as clear is that you're spreading this pain to others, by reacting to everything said to you with a haze of #doubt. And, implying that those who are speaking to you are the source of it. It's you. Please take #responsibility for your issues with yourself. Please work through it, as no one outside of you can fill the #void within. I speak for myself and perhaps others in saying... I'm #tired of talking to people that #desire to internalize everything and make it some sort of #insult, to feed this #toxic aspect. I'm either going to keep the convo to a minimum or not have it at all. Part of #selflove is staying away from people who don't do it for themselves. #theconduitofhealing #psychicmedium #reikimasterteacher #iamthatiam #starseed #lightworker #wisewoman

Feeling Boring or Inadequate? When watching other peoples lives makes you feel boring and inadequate notice that you are judging yourself and practice compassion for yourself. Do something different. Get off the computer go outside. Call a friend and do something with somebody else. Write a poem. Get some exercise. Get out of your head for a while. — zenmister #boredom #inadequacy #judgment #judgingYourself #compassion #mindfulness #meditation #zenwords #zenmister https://www.instagram.com/p/Cd3QS1hOfn6/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Judging Yourself The beauty of being able to notice thoughts like that is that you can see them for what they are before you act on them. That moment of reflection gives you time to let those thoughts go before they hurt you more or hurt somebody else. We judge ourselves in our thoughts all the time. That is a strong habit. When you notice your thoughts making you think you are an asshole, label that thought as a judgement and then let it go. If you are in the habit of judging other people and putting them into categories of naughty and nice, then those judgments invariably turn back on you. If you think mostly good things about other people you will also think good things about yourself. If you are harsh with others, you will be harsh on yourself. Whenever you notice yourself falling into that habit, neutralize the harshness, and let the judgment go. Keep noticing those thoughts. Notice how you judge yourself and others. Whenever you catch yourself judging, say to yourself “judging”, not good, not bad, then let the thoughts go. — Zenmister, from an Ask Post #judgingYourself #judgingThoughts #judgingPeople #thoughts #zenmister #zenwords https://www.instagram.com/p/CaCvqpYuo_J/?utm_medium=tumblr

When you catch yourself judging yourself and others, or feeling that others are judging you, recognize that as ego activity. Breathe deeply and come back to yourself. Remind yourself that you are something apart from that judging. It is a lifelong project, so be patient. Go easy on yourself. Be compassionate with yourself and others. — zenmister

#howYouLook #awarenessOfYourJudgments #judgment #judgingYourself #judgingOthers #yourAppearance #letTheJudgingThoughtGo #judgingHabit #mindfulness #meditation #zenmister #zenwords To enhance your skill of being comfortable with how you look, practice being aware of your judgments. See how you judge others and how you judge yourself. When you notice yourself judging yourself or others based on appearance, remind yourself that you are judging and let the thought go. As you become more aware of your judging habit, you won’t use it against yourself so often. That will make you feel better, which of course makes you look better.

#dealingWithWorry #dealingWithPain #worry #pain #goodness #hurt #dealingWithHurt #takeABreath #thoughts #justThoughts #seeWhatTheThoughtsAre #judging #judgingYourself #thePast #theFuture #mindfulness #meditation #zenmister #zenwords Noticing worry or pain and taking a breath breaks up your normal response and confirms your goodness, your desire to feel better and to help the situation. It helps you deal with the hurt that is happening and clears your mind to better address hurts that have happened or may happen. When you take a breath you have a moment to see what your thoughts are. See if those thoughts are judging you or others. See if they are about the past or future. Take another breath and remind yourself that they are just thoughts.
