If you look at the box that Ranboo dies to, it's already incredibly rusty and bloody with dried blood on the spikes and rust all over it. People have already died in that thing, but who? Did Showfall perhaps have another hero before Ranboo or was this just another piece of a death game?

Or it could just be design choice to add to the horror, most likely.

Cyrax joins for the lulz, while Sektor is the only one trying to be not suspicious at all (and somehow always drawing the most attention because his life can’t be easy for once, not with those crazy bastards around 🤣)

But then again, Bi-Han may not bother at all; with the Mythologies: Sub-Zero's storyline, it seems he is destined for quick type of missions, as in get in, kill and/or steal and get out so I guess, one way or another, not many people will be left alive to tell his real name…

(this has been in my drafts for ages)

#i've been thinking about the boys game a lot.#the event at the end of the movie that most of us first recognized as the cycle #(or at least most of whom i've interacted with after first finishing the film)#I'm gonna be honest this all started because i was making an edit #but that's neither here nor there.#Essentially i was confused about *the game*#and was wondering whether nigel won or lost before i realized i was looking at it all wrong #duh #Nigel was talking about the creation of the game that he would contribute to #not how it's played #which only became glaringly obvious to me after i'd sat there with my thoughts for almost a half hour #(give me a break i'm not stupid i've just had a rough few weeks)#Everybody played their part perfectly the schools order begins to fall apart #(alex headmaster's son leaves. nigel grandmaster's son dead alongside his parents. etc.)#the valiant hero forsakes the religious organization (McKenzie)#and everyone else takes their place unknowingly simply through existing.#Alex finds another boy and so it begins.#Finally out of death grief suffering and ruined sanity; the game starts but we don't ever see it.#start with a Jack and then fabricate the game #like minds #nigel colbie #alex forbes #murderous intent

Sue me for this if you wish but I think Big World Big Adventures: The Movie wasn't actually as bad as everyone says it is and it's high time we gave it the appreciation it deserves, like it's a bit too overhated in my opinion. Maybe it's just my inability to be overly mean and aggressive abt pieces of media that line up with comfort interests but I genuinely don't get the hate towards the BWBA movie....like nothing was bad abt it in my own opinion? The songs were fire all the way through, the visuals are very pretty (the LIGHTING!!!), and I mean like Nia is there and how can you possibly hate anything that features Nia she CARRIES that movie so hard. I've seen some ppl say the movements are too much but like...it makes the engines far more expressive and I highly prefer them having a bit more movement to being entirely stiff because being stiff restricts their expressiveness even more, and tbh realism was left behind the second the cgi series made its debut (Ex: D51s were first produced in 1936 and yet Hiro was somehow the first engine on the island of Sodor) so I don't really look for realism too hard when it comes to TTTE because I mean...the trains talk and are fully sentient, and that's already grounds enough for me suspend my disbelief a TON.

Maybe it is just my Nia bias (AND YONG BAO IS THERE AT ONE POINT!!! Absolutely love him.) but I think BWBA is pretty good, it's one of my favorite TTTE movies. It's just really whack that half the fandom seems to hate or at least mildly dislike this movie, which was a huge shocker to me because I was happy stimming the ENTIRE time on my first watch. It was fun and colorful and expressive and thinking about how it introduced so many international machines to the lineup...like I physically cannot hate a movie that caters to my favorite thing EVER in shows with sentient machines (seeing the machines from other countries). I don't mind the fact that ppl dislike it at all (bc everyone's entitled to their own opinions and all that jazz) but it's more just I can't really find any negatives about it, the only character introduced in it that I dislike is the one they (assumedly) want you to dislike and even then I gotta admit his song slaps. To each their own in the end, I suppose, but the point I'm trying to make is that I think we gotta be at least a LITTLE bit nicer abt this movie. (And if anyone interacts w/ this post, please don't like. Start fights on it or anything. This post isn't mean to spark any discourse or aggression, it's just my personal thoughts that I'm sharing with the fandom because so far all of you that I've met are EXTREMELY kind and understanding and so I trust you all to be normal abt it.)

rewatching nope (2022) today bc it's my day off and god everything about this movie is sooooooooooo. it's so good. truly can't remember the last time I was in a theater kicking my feet giggling bc a film was so well put together like truly every other minute I was staring at the screen in awe like holy shit they did that!! how did they do that that is so cool!! the sound design, the set design, the characters, the THEMES and the NARRATIVE, the blocking in certain scenes. THAT FUCKING ALIEN girl I'm sorry I'll never be normal about this movie

#the way the plot sorta spirals in on itself. u have this thing which relates to this thing which made this happen #and it all just keeps spiraling inward bc even tho they're all different scenarios they are all actually exactly the same #the cinematography choice....... blank hallways and first person pov and the SOUNDSCAPING #the dead silence with just one ambient noise in the background to make it feel off enough that you're like uhh what's happening I'm scared #the HERO of this movie and the way he only won bc he understood animals and knew how to treat them fairly #and yet he and his family still contribute to the spiraling narrative of in the way they try to capture jean jacket on film #2023 best picture winner TO ME #text post #nope 2022 #horror tag

I was so happy that Felony Carl adopted this cute little kitty, and although they started off on bad terms with Globby (since he pulled the cat from the alley), the fact that Globby and Felony Carl live together with them as their pet means they must have warmed up to Globby so as to not scratch his face off all the time. ;) I thought it'd be cute to show Globby and their cat (I like the name Jasmine for them ^_^) having some fun time playing while Felony Carl catches this wholesome moment on camera.

This is extremely mean but I'm just. So tired of my family. Tbh

Oh AND my aunt was talking up the j*m c*veziel child trafficking movie yesterday at new year's lunch to my mother. And like I get. That my mother and my aunt are each other's best friends. And my aunt has been Going Thru it wrt her health and is suddenly extremely like. Into not thinking critically and being superstitious wrt faith and touchy feely and talking about the shack and randomly making broad acclamations of faith in the middle of conversations all that. But also like. God. God have mercy I do not have the self restraint to deal with this anymore, it's one thing from my elderly Nonna who never went to school and who's only engagement w religion and faith has been that kind of folk religion. It is another thing entirely to see my cool fun UNIVERSITY EDUCATED AND YOUNG aunt be like. Ah yes. I've forgotten how to think about anything beyond vague warm feelings about religion. Also the most fuckin incorrect discussion of theodicy in my life I was sitting there sipping mimosas so I didnt start screaming. Theology?? Reason? Logos? What??? HER HUSBAND HAS A DEGREE IN CHURCH HISTORY AND RELIGUOUS EDUCATION like I don't always agree w him and I think he's very much lacking knowledge in the hellenistic + philosophical side of things which makes it hard to really grasp early church theology tbh. But like. He has a head on his shoulders at least.

Just gonna fuckin start. Throwing intro to Greek philosophy + Augustine at everyone who insists on making these assertions without knowing literally anything I don't even LIKE Augustine.
