Being in a relationship with a guy like Karma definitely requires a lot of patience. As someone who's always messing around yet analytical enough to not get caught for it, Karma can quickly get on his partner's nerves.

Which is why someone who is kind and understanding is exactly what he needs in his life.

He can come off as standoffish and rude at first, but after a while your lack of response to his subtle nudges (both verbal and physical) your way started to intrigue him.

It wasn't like you were the kind of person who didn't have a backbone and chose to keep their head down, in fact, it was the opposite.

You weren't crazy smart or strong, but enough to be able to at least fight back if you chose to. It was just that you didn't see the point in fighting his fire with fire.

Instead, you would give him that stupid small smile of yours or occasionally quip back with a reply that made it seem like the two of you were having a conversation rather than Karma just being a nuisance.

Over time, he began to increase the lengths he went to in order to get a reaction out of you, finding comfort in the way you seemed to keep up with him without actually fighting back.

It was only when you snapped at him for the first time that Karma realised he liked you.

That was the first time he had chosen to drag others into your little game of sorts, but you didn't seem to take too kindly to having your friends play victim to Karma's little pranks.

He never actually hurt you or anyone, yet his actions were malevolent enough to earn a slap on the back of his head with your textbook.

Who would have thought such a small action would earn the affection of Kunugigaoka Junior High School's very own red devil.

Once the two of you start dating, you're one of the few people who can reign Karma in. It's not like you control him or anything, but when he needs it, you do help him see lines that shouldn't be crossed.

You worry about him because of his sadistic tendencies, but that doesn't stop you from helping Karma plan out some of his plans.

You aren't part of their class so don't know about Koro-sensei but he still appreciates your advice.

Karma enjoys leading you up the hill to more secluded places where the two of you can just sit under a tree and talk or chill around. This often ends with him flustering you in some way or another before he drops you home.

He can be very hard to keep up with, but Karma also has those calm moments where he just wants to be around you.

After the events that occur at the end of the second season, Karma went to your place rather than going home because he felt a need to be around you.

You obviously didn't understand why Karma was suddenly so insistent on spending the night hugging you or why you could almost certainly feel a tear or two drip onto your skin, but you didn't complain.

That's what Karma liked about you: you always understood him, you knew when to just let his behaviour slide and when to actually intervene.

In the storm that is Karma Akabane's life, he often found that you were what grounded him.

A headcanon about their childhood

My favourite young Karma headcanon is that he was really obsessed with pirates. This is semi-canon in that we see him playing One Piece games on his DS, but I like to see it as a whole phase. It's actually where he got his love for skull and crossbones from. As a bonus headcanon, I get the feeling he might have moved around a lot as a kid, and I just have this mental image of 8 year old Karma insisting on wearing an eyepatch to school and making up some elaborate story about it for attention to make friends.

A headcanon relating to anger

A lot of people think Karma's very hot-headed but that's not actually that true. Most of the time when he does something violent, he's genuinely pretty calm about it and seems to have thought it through, in the sense that he doesn't lash out in a split second at least. Most of the time when he's actually mad about something he's either silent and terrifying (because for real Karma looking like he's actively plotting something...) or exceedingly petty and annoying. He'd rather goad you into a fight than actually throw the first punch most of the time.

A headcanon about what scares them

I mean other than Shiota Nagisa?

Honestly not to get too deep, but I think he could have a pretty intense fear of abandonment. There's a lot of implication that his parents aren't really around a lot (and let's remember he's 14 for most of the series), and whilst Karma never says this actually bothers him, I think it would make a lot of sense for why he acts the way he does.

In a nutshell, Karma's grown up in a way where he looks out for his own back and that's it. He doesn't like depending on others because what if they go away or betray him? I get the sense he'd be the type to prefer to just end relationships (of any nature) before the other person can do it first (insert insistence to kill korosensei here?). This is part of why he struggles to hold deep friendships with people. Maybe I should write a whole meta on this someday lol.

If that was too depressing, the fluffy answer is jump scares. He's usually too good at predicting the lead up to them to actually get scared, but if you do actually manage to catch him off guard his voice pitch will raise by an octave.

Hiii! May I request for some Hcs about Karma and a "famous" reader for something like acting/modeling related because her family? But actually her mother and brother are a little piece of shit with her, just like her internal environment. Her attitude at first is a bit dry, but she is a loving person (Plus if have a fear of knives and learn to deal with Karma and the murder thing in the classroom)

It was expected that his presence at a study session you had organized would boost your motivation to review more. However, the sheer boredom of you—the library and staleness, with lamps flickering in—created by such a dull background was working against you. However, as you focused on your notes, fatigue set in, and your eyelids began to droop.

On the other side of the table, Karma was partially immersed in his world, playing video games on his phone. He watched you fight against the advancing wave of sleep without your knowledge. His mind, however, was unconventional and quick to find new approaches even in silence, so he selected some method of making you stay awake.

Karma smiled slyly as he picked up a nearby book and figured out its direction before throwing it at you. The book hit softly against your head with a ‘boink.’ The shock hit you suddenly, and you glared at him aggressively.

"Karma, really?" you cried out, massaging the area of your head where the book hit.

He stared at you innocently, as if amazed. He quipped, "Hey! You were drifting off. Just doing my part to keep you alert and focused." His reply made you scoffed.

The unexpected wake-up call worked. The interruption caused by Karma had effectively broken down your sleepiness, which was looming large over you. Even if his approach was a little absurd, your lips curled slightly as you realized that, despite the circumstances, Karma had managed to maintain punctuality and spontaneous stimulation throughout the study.

Who's your rival in academics, sports, or video games, but expect a healthy dose of rivalry.

Under the dim light of Karma's gaming console screen, you and Karma were fighting in a video game. The room was alive with the rhythm of powerful blasts from controllers and the overdrive sound of your playful outcasts.

When the unreal battle appeared on screen, Karma couldn't help but smile knowingly. He teased, "Are you prepared to go down this round?" He touched the control with his fingers.

You countered with a confident smile. "I suppose we will find out. I hope you've been reviewing what you've learned, Karma."

The taunting was competitive, with each of you attempting to manipulate and navigate around the other in the video game. Laughter and occasional shouts of victory or defeat filled the room.

Despite intense competition, you and Karma maintained a tacit understanding. Each of you was respectful of the other's gaming abilities, which elevated the game beyond mere contention. Each action received either a respectful agreement or a quick-witted look, as if to emphasize the importance of jest in this competitive environment where fun was the ultimate goal.

Throughout the game, however, Karma managed to gain a foothold on you in a spectacular manner. He declared triumphantly, "Guess I won this time."

"Karma!" You cried, partly laughing and partly protesting.

"Can't get away from that, it turns normal circumstances into extraordinary ones!"

Can i ask for karma akabane x reader who wants to have four kids or just a big family? Karma would be happy at all to make that many babies or more? His reaction to the mere idea of having a baby would be more like "yeah, let's go to the bedroom right away" or would he be a bit of a waiter? Overall, I'd like to see how you see Karma in this situation, Karma is probably the kind of cool but also responsible parent and it would be nice to see some hc about how he manages to raise a large number of children with his partner.

Karma knows growing up as a single child is hard, and lonely, especially if you’re neglected. He would wait until he knows he could give his parents the most love and attention he would reasonably be able to while keeping his job life stable as well.

Karma would prefer to wait till after marriage and financial stability but if you happen to get pregnant beforehand he will make sure you and the baby are properly taken care of. I think he’d adore the idea of having lots of kids, of course he’d make sure to hire lots of help while still making time for all of his kids. He kind of see’s it as a way to spite his parents and show that you can be successful, be happy and love your kids.

Doesn’t have a limit on how many babies you can have but if you do then he’s fine with that too, honestly and I may be projecting here but he finds it hard to hold back on having kids because he finds them so adorable, but he knows he has to, in order to give them a good life.

A mix between stern and cool, only really getting ‘upset’ when he needs to but otherwise he pretty much lets his kids do whatever, except drinking and smoking (but he won’t be too strict bc he knows that only breeds rebellion).

Would definitely make sure it keep cameras in the babies rooms at all time, especially when you aren’t home. He checks them at work and it makes him feel a type of ease and happiness when he’s stressed. When karma does come home however one of the first things he does is come see his s/o and kiss you then his children, taking time to ask them about their days and playing little games with them.

Ps: he’s also the extremely hot dad every parent/friend stares at when he picks his kids up or drops them off.
