I think I delayed this AU long enough so here it is!!!

Garmadon’s Reign AU: Garmadon and Lloyd

Wu was successful in getting the ninja together, but he unfortunately was unsuccessful in keeping them together.

When Garmadon came back to Ninjago, Wu attempted to stop his brother along with Zane, Zyro and Cole who stayed behind but was unsuccessful. He was captured and put into prison.

Lloyd is eventually found by Garmadon and he is currently the “Prince of Shadows” in this world. He observes his dad to see what he needs to do for when he soon takes over.

He still wants to be like his father as always but he slowly grows bitter the more corrupted Garmadon becomes.

The Soldier that wants to be a King

"You are tired of being steady. You dream of feeling alive. Not that you aren't, but, sometimes, it's hard to remember that there is a heart between your ribs. Your love is where you breathe. Come on, breathe. In. Out. It starts now"

Explanations:

Kai is someone who's been fighting his whole life, either to survive, protect or prove himself. He wanted to be the green ninja, to be a king, to have a reason for all the fighting.

Lloyd never chose to be the green ninja and carry the world on his shoulders, but now he just wants to be free from that responsability.

Nya may not seem a poet, but she's the only one that didn't had a role in destiny in the firsts seasons. She's an independent person who's always done what she wanted and gets angry when told what to do. She went from samurai x to ninja to the sea to samurai x again to ninja again. Nya is an always changing free spirit that just wants to fight along her brothers.

(I actually had the idea of the siblings as soldier poet king for a while but never did it, the tik tok trend gave me the inspiration, but since I'm always late for those, I'll post this here.

I promise I'm going to post my AUs but I'm waiting for my friend who's helping me write them because english is not my first language)

Lilly's Weird "Canon" Comic?🤨

Sort of a mini article I whipped out!

So, I read the Ninjago comic Mother Earth, about Lilly and her adventures and... I'm trying to figure out how Tommy Kalmar ever could say it canon. Like... None of the events line up. For example, it says she went down into the Underworld (How???) to spy on Garmadon and figure out his plans.

And then after a few more adventures, (INCLUDING FIGHTING SERPENTINE WHEN IT WAS HER GRANDFATHER THAT DID?!?!? NOT HER?!? AND IT WAS SOMEHOW AFTER THE BATTLE BETWEEN BROTHERS?!?!? NOT DURING THE SERPENTINE WAR?!?!!! *flips table*) she had Cole. But that would mean that Lloyd would have to be older than Cole?! Because as far as we know, Lloyd was born either just before or right after the battle between Wu and Garmadon! Also GriefBringer is not supposed to be a skeleton yet. Lilly had to make him one. By taking him out. Oh brother.

None of this makes sense! ARG!

There's so many questions I have NO answers for. I probably wouldn't consider this comic canon, despite what Tommy Kalmar said. However, despite it's flaws, I did enjoy the fact that Wu was there when Cole was born. And that it's mentioned that Lilly was one of his best students. It draws a connection between Wu, Cole, and Lilly that I really like.

I would really like to write a backstory for her that's a bit more in line with canon. So if you see me giving her a slightly different backstory in Into The Deep, don't be surprised. Lol. - ✒️🐉

Tang (possibly Pigsy, too): Wow, that sounds like a lot to go through as a child. And you bodily became 18 when you were 12? I'm so sorry, they shouldn't have done that to you..

Lloyd: Well-- it was to save the city--

Tang: What did that city ever do for you? I mean, your whole life is just one tragedy after another; your mother abandons you, your father is locked away, you get sent to a boarding school to make you evil and you still get bullied there. You're manipulated multiple times by adults, and sure, you tried to do that once to them, but you were a child. They were adults. That's not fair.

Lloyd: It was destiny, I had to because of the prophesy...

Tang: No, you had a choice. You didn't have to do all that, and even if you wanted to, you could've waited till you were mature enough to understand the severity of it. Your uncle trains you-- actually, he forcibly takes you, which legally would happen anyways as your only relative, but the law was never involved, not to mention you were under the impression you'd be hurt.

Tang: It's not your fault either. You were coerced into it. The prophesy never said when you had to defeat your father, right?

Lloyd: Well, I don't entirely remember....

Tang: You needed an adult who wasn't going to use you, and you never got that. You never got a childhood, and that's terrible. I'm so upset that this happened to you because no kid deserves this. I'm not completely okay with MK being the Monkie Kid; I mean, look at all the danger it's put him through - but at least he was an adult, old enough to make his own conscious choice.

Lloyd: I...

Lloyd: Thanks, mom.

Tang: It's no pro-- wait what?

MK: And you have elemental powers?! Oh, that's so cool! I don't have any of those, really. I mean, I can do a lot of things that the Monkey King can do, but I don't think controlling elements was one of them.

Zane: It is awesome, of course, but we have years of years of unpacked trauma.

MK: Same!! :D

Red Son: Your father... was okay with you becoming a hero?

Lloyd: He wasn't the best, but it's not completely his fault. The whole venom and oni thing really messed him up. He knew what he was, and he... deep down, he wanted a safe world for me, and fhst meant a world without him.

Red Son:.... I see.

Lloyd: So, uh, you want to be like your father?

Red Son: Well, of course I do! I'm not some a simple-minded peasant like Noodle Boy or Dragon Girl! My father's legacy is one to behold with pride.

Lloyd:... but?

Red Son, sighing: but my father barely recognizes my greatness; and Noodle Boy and his peasant friends do....

MK: Why is... why.. (MK, trying to talk about Garmadon)

Wu: Ah... My brother and I share Oni and Dragon blood... when he was bitten by The Great Devourer, it caused his blood to turn cold.

MK: Does that mean you can become evil too?

Wu, caught off guard: Oh. I..

Wu, sighing: Yes. That is a possibility. I trained my students the best way I knew how... I.. admit I wasn't the best

MK, smiling brightly: HAHA, yeah, you weren't!

Wu, offended:

MK: Wait-- you ABANDONED your son to an evil school?!

Misako: I-- I did.

MK: Why not send him to a normal school?! Or with Mister Wu?! If you knew he was gonna beat up his dad, wouldn't it have helped if he grew up with morals???

Lloyd: I mean no offense, Sun Wukong, but I don't know why MK still likes you.

Wukong: Honestly, I don't either
