The traveling Ufotable "Zenshuuchuu-ten" (Total Concentration Gallery) dedicated to the Mugen Ressha and Yuukaku arcs had a few spots where you could take photos of the displays. I found it a little sparse on content compared to the Gotouge gallery (which was a bigger event in the first place and had additional Taisho Secrets) or the recent Kyoto Toei movie studio collab which had many more set pieces and scenes, but like many other events, it had walls and walls of screenshots, seiyuu voice guides (today we had Rengoku & Uzui), life-size paper cut-outs, and some 3D displays. It was pretty much a celebration of those arcs, and included a few displays showing the animation cells for very high action scenes lined up against the CG. There were a couple of rooms with highlight reels of Yuukaku-hen and Rengoku vs Akaza, split up on three large screens and with attack names added in with kanji, that was pretty cool, like Akaza's punch flying from the left screen and Rengoku dodging it at the right screen before parrying in the center screen. At the end we got a fun little Kimetsu Academy room with a scenario that they're getting ready for the cultural festival (but it seems Ufotable is still totally shying away from Stylish Scruffy Democracy), and then a wall of beautiful illustrations done by animation staff members, recreating a bunch of highlight moments.

Some of my favorite touches throughout the gallery:

1. How the "it's time to be sad about Rengoku-san again" room didn't just have nicely printed screenshots, but they were back-lit and had a nice glow, while Rengoku's reflections on his parents were playing. They were a good selection of emotional Rengoku shots, but we had Anpan-Rengoku up in the corner.

2. How in the dream sequence room there were occasional lighting and sound effects like being plunged in water.

3. The Yuukaku room had a nice design, with little peepholes in the painted screens which you'd peek into to see screenshots.

MORE SWORDS

Last year I did a KnY rewatch from Episode 1 through the third to last episode of Yuukaku-hen so that I'd be refreshed and ready for the theatrical release of the last two Yuukaku episodes + first episode, and I plan on doing that again this month for the Swordsmith Village arc (everything up until the last episode, which will be released theatrically on Feb 2). Probably gonna self-reblog a bunch of Swordsmith Village arc spam to intersperse with the sketches I'll do I rewatch. Also, I've got a draft of a condensed "this is why you should care about how Nichirin blades are made" post started (a light and quick version) and I should finish that.

Also, months ago I started rewriting the dense version (a small handful of you know the four-parter I'm talking about because you actually read it to the end) to clarify/fix/add details to the part of the process covered there, as well as to add the second half of the process instead of just glossing over it, but writing it better required better art and I just didn't have the energy plus I have betters photos now but I can't use them because they were for work and it was so cool but all I can do is leech off my own research for fandom purposes. If anyone reeeeally wants a longer, cleaner, AO3 version of a very, very, very informative Swordsmith Village fic, please say so I might summon my willpower to finish it.
