so funny story: during the pandemic my sister and I were so bored we recreated the pro-shot of Newsies in LEGO stop motion. We never finished it, but we got through the entirety of Act One and King of New York. So please, enjoy this small part of the Seize The Day dance break!
(If enough of you people want to see the rest I may post more...)
Lego: we're gonna have tonally appropriate, stylistically cohesive creature designs in this children's show, right?
Ninjago:
I have a strong love hate relationship with this show's absolute lack of design consistency. On one hand it's hilarious to see literal Legos face off some eldritch horrors with horrifyingly realistic textures, but it's also really jarring. And when they decide to go cartoony, the designs are usually just....bad. Some of the realistic designs are real bangers tho
I respect Dragons Rising a lot because it's the most cohesive Ninjago has ever been, the only thing standing out was that giant crab monster. Somehow they made it look like everything belongs in the same world and that's so cool :D
hello again everyone! I just want to thank everyone who interacted with the last post about the LEGO Newsies! I genuinely wasn't expecting it to take off like that! A lot of you asked for more, so this is a side by side between the actual Seize The Day dance break and our LEGO version. I hope you all enjoy!
ALSO: I'm going to be using the tag #lego newsies for any more posts about it!
