Soooooooo I have some good news and bad news. Tem was listed on the IMDb page for Ahsoka as playing Rex before the release of the series and through at least the premier (that's the last time I checked anyways). When I went on IMDb today (Sept. 5), however, he's not listed at all:

“I plunge to my death” Percy Jackson Au

Ok first, if you somehow came up with this exact thing already, i wouldn’t know, I don’t even follow the Percy Jackson tag yet, but just tell me and I’ll take it down or tag it as an alt universe of your au and credit it, but I have like three other ones I’ll be posting so we’ll see.

- This au is connected to both the tv show and the book because I like what both did in terms of the arch episode.

- This mostly goes how the tv show episode goes, Percy gets poisoned, they get to the top of the arch, he sacrifices himself. But this time, he does pray to his dad as he falls over 100 ft to his death.

- His dad doesn’t answer. He’s the one who somehow last second, controls the water to save himself. He sinks to the bottom of the lake and gets stuck. He feels the poison and his wounds get slightly better.

-In this au, the nereid doesn’t actually help him get out of the water, because in this version it’s inspired by how in the books, when he left the water the wounds came back. If he leaves the lake, he could die.

- So he stays stuck there for almost three days while the nereids bring him seaweed and shit to eat, but eventually he gets sick of it.

- he learns that Poseidon didn’t really want him to leave, at least not yet, mainly because he knew if he left he would continue to be chased by monsters or die in some way and believed a war would come either way. Basically, if the Poseidon that said “heroes always end badly, I regret getting your mom pregnant” actually did something about it

- but of course, he can’t keep Perseus ‘I don’t listen to anybody but myself’ Jackson down in a lake without him going a lil crazy and he breaks the root holding him down and swims to shore, but the poison instantly kicks back in, and gets back in the water

- his father gifts him a hydrai (a large vase/urn basically that carry’s water) that holds basically a portal to the ocean in it. GUYS LISTEN, I HEARD THIS MYTH SOMEWHERE BUT WHEN I TRIED TO FIND THE SOURCE IT DISAPPEARED. I was positive I heard that there was a vase that held the ocean in it somewhere so just take my word 😭

- the mist makes it look like a water bottle with no label 😭💀💀💀

- Percy accepts the gift because he wants to get out of there, but he suddenly does not have a very good idea of the gods or specifically his father. I don’t think the nereid actually told him that his father really did care, at least a little bit, all he saw it as was his dad not thinking he would succeed/ he saw it as Zeus turning Thalia into a tree because he didn’t want to idk disprespect the other gods? Cause it was easier than defending her? That’s how Percy sees it anyways

- Meanwhile, Grover and annabeth are convinced he died. They looked and called for him, but there was no proof of his survival, so instead annabeth took his place in a lot of missions to fulfill the quest cause she’s a girl boss like that.

- I think her main theory of what happened to him is straight up “I saw him fall and didn’t see him land, so maybe he turned into the lake or a tree or something too” 💀😭

- anyways Percy gets chased by another monster but has no more fucks to give. He’s scary. He’s pale, has dark eyes and a taste for vengeance.

- he tries to find annabeth and Grover but they’re pretty ahead of him.

- my main idea is that they meet again in the underworld with hades and they are little wary honestly.

- also omg I didn’t think of this before but what if they thought, hey, he’s in the underworld, guess he did die 💀.

-But anyways what I thought would happen was annabeth and Grover get there first and annabeth has the backpack with the bolt in it. Hades asks if they wanted a trade and that’s why they came. He bluffs and tells them if they give him the bolt and the helmet he’d let go Percy’s mom or “bring back” percy. (Hades knows percy is not dead and is kinda pissed that Percy is constantly on the edge of death but making it because of his dad technically, and he can’t take him to punishment field or whatever he calls it idk)

- I think annabeth chooses percy and is about to give the bag over, but realizes he was tricked and he was never dead. But idk. There are so many diff ways this could go and I’d love to hear how you guys would write it. I’d love some reblog a that add to this idea.

okay sorry if this sounds chirlish as it's really not meant to but that carlos singapore ask (and similar narratives) rubs me up the wrong way a bit. this is no disprespect to carlos who i adore but the whole narrative that only he was responsible for making that work is disingenuous and really annoys me.

yes carlos was really smart and quick thinking to realise it's what was needed for him to win but it took two to tango. carlos knew he needed the buffer of lando between him and the mercedes duo to keep his win and if he made no mistakes lando would not be able to pass him with a slower car and the same old tyres so he tried it and lando knew he needed the drs to keep his podium so he went along with it.

they were able to pull it off so seamlessly purely because of the huge amount of trust that carlos and lando have in each other from their time at mclaren where they worked for two years as a proper team and because they can basically read each other really well. carlos had the trust in lando to not only understand what he was trying to do but also to be able to actually pull it off with him despite being in a slower car (because mclaren were slower than both ferrari and merc in singapore) and lando had the trust in carlos that he wouldn't use him and then take off and hang him out to dry in the last couple of laps. the only other two drivers who i think may have been able to pull it off so well are lewis and valtteri because they also have an unspoken trust in each other from their time together at mercedes. and that includes current teammates who might have had orders from the team to do it, let alone two no longer teammates doing it off their own bat with no prompting from their teams. it's the reason it didn't work so well when others tried it.

also lastly on the 'it was not all carlos' front, people forget very quickly that lando played a huge role when he slipped out of drs for about half a lap and still managed to put up a vitally important defense against russell when russell made a move to pass. if george had got past him then, carlos was less than a second up the road and with no drs he would have been swallowed up.

sorry rant over. as i said this is no disrespect to carlos and how smart he was at all, but please can people stop with the narrative that he somehow pulled it off on his own and just used lando at will because it's very much not true.

I assume this ask is in relation to this post. Overall, you are 100% correct, it was a joint effort, and that shouldn't be diminished. I don't think it was the goal of that post to say it was solely Carlos' doing, but rather that it was his idea to execute and that it worked so brilliantly when it's failed two times since among teammates. If I'm remembering correctly, it was only once Lando lost the DRS in his battle with George and then got it again once Carlos slowed down that he realized what was happening between the two of them (a battle that was so unbelievably good and skilled in its own right. I had thought for sure it'd be over at that point). So yes, it was a team effort between the two of them to work together, but the idea and continual execution itself is why you have more of an emphasis on Carlos when people talk about it, imo.

Carlos teasing the mercs in the race they tried to do it in as well likely adds to this.

do you feel like elaborating on why those movies were disrespectful? I kept eyeing Resurrection as a candidate for my watchlist, but I'd love to know if I dodged a bullet by deciding not to actually watch it

omgggg no don't listen to me please watch resurrection, it's stunning! and it does Not play abt twists and gore. some of the dialogue is. not that great to me and the direction and editing take away from the scene sometimes (again, i understand it's russel mulcahy's style but sometimes i imagine how perfect this film would be if anyone else but him directed it. it'd also prolly be less gory so hmm. dilemma). but i enjoyed it greatly. and it brought us david cronenberg reading from the bible 🙏🚬

i mean disprespectful in the way that i feel like the director wasn't well-equipped to show certain things. for example, this isn't that much of a spoiler for resurrection but the main character's son had died and they show a flashback of it, and the way it was shown was so????? idk it was so melodramatic (again, director's style) that it bordered on being silly. plus another major spoiler (the one at the very end) that gagged me so bad i burst out laughing for lack of better way to express my shock. plus plus they introduced/mentioned this one character just for one gory twist which adds to why i think it's foul. and also just plain lazy damn

I don't comment on systemhood or my plurality very much with this blog but, because I have noticed so many other systems following me lately, I want to say this:

Psychiatrists don't understand plurality. The entire 'field' of psychiatry, extra especially in the west, is utterly lacking when it comes to possessing any nuanced understanding of how trauma functions and how it impacts the brain. Singlets, especially singlet psychiatrists, don't understand us; traumagenic or endogenic, they don't fucking get it and they never will. The idea that endogenic systems are supposedly causing singlets in your life to develop the 'wrong ideas' about you as a traumagenic system is completely fucking preposterous. Their existence is completely separate to your own, and singlets' opinions of us already don't matter; we are still plural regardless of whatever singlets believe about plurality. Expecting every system and every manifestation of plurality to be palatable and digestible and 'correct' to singlets, and holding every other system you meet to those expectations, is ridiculous and disprespectful.

You do not need to be contributing to the problem of systemhood being chronically misunderstood by participating in lateral aggression against other systems. No matter who is reading this, you are not the arbiter of who is and isn't a 'valid' system, and you are not the authority on systemhood/plurality just because you are also a system.

I don't fucking care if you "don't understand" endogenic or mixed-origin or schizogenic or borderline or otherwise non-DID/non-OSDD1 systems. Like it or not, they still exist regardless of what your opinions are and their existences have absolutely no material impact on you and your own journey with plurality. They aren't "giving systems a bad name," they're not "stealing resources," and they're not "invading traumagenic spaces." The whole of 'endogenic systems' as a group are not hurting anyone, and it actually doesn't cause any kind of measurable 'harm' whatsoever to accept them as valid systems.

Individual/specific endogenic systems who you may have encountered speaking negatively about those of us whose plurality has been traumagenic and life-long do not reflect all endogenics, and their words/actions have absolutely no bearing on whether endogenic systemhood/plurality is legitimate or not. Your personal feelings, including being personally offended by an endogenic system or traumagenic supporter of endogenic systems, also have nothing to do with whether or not endogenic systemhood is real.

I am the host of a 'diagnosed-as-DID' traumagenic system of dissociative identities that experiences amnesia. The entire sysmedicalist ideology did nothing but make me doubt myself even after I had subjected myself to being psychologically evaluated several times (which just ended up retraumatizing me each time due to my history of being abused in the psychiatric system). It was endogenic systems and their allies who helped me embrace my plurality and systemhood, because what sysmedicalists call a 'community' is a panopticon; it's nothing but constant intracommunity surveillance and policing of one anothers' identities and existences, abiding by 'rules' suggested decades ago by singlet psychiatrists drafting new editions of the goddamn DSM.

You do not need to "understand" another system's identity to treat them with patience, basic dignity, and respect. Talking down to endogenic systems, online or otherwise, is a fucking embarrassing waste of your time. I seriously do not give a shit who you are, you are not the gatekeeper of 'valid systemhood', because none of us are.

Focus on taking care of yourselves, not on 'preserving' the so-called 'sanctity' of systemhood. The onus is ours to step up and have each others' backs because the singlets and psychiatrists sure as fuck don't care about us!

hi wanna hear about me complaining about french school being racist, sexist and fatphobic? yeah okay so.

first, for some kind of context, this year my school's rules or whatever have been changed to add some shit like "an appropriate outfit is required. we musn't see the lower abdomen and lowed back" and that alone is annoying but moving on

theres this girl in my class, and she's a fat, black girl. so. there's definitely a part of that in this. and, yesterday, she went to school with a tank top, a full one (we didn't see her tummy) and we just saw the the the top of her chest because. it's a tank top yk?? it looked like that basically

except she's fat and black so two more reasons for people to critisize her.

so. we had math class, and our teacher (a skinny, white woman, may i add) almost immediately pointed out her top, basically saying it was innapropriate (she didn't say it like that, she just said shit like "we already talked about your outfits blah blah" because the girl already wore crop tops, but here it wasnt even cropped or anything) so, we stay here, she starts her class bla bla

and, another girl in my class took the school rules or whatev (also i should add the teacher said "we can check the rules if you want" or something) and she said "ma'am. it says "lower adomen and lowed back". it doesn't talk about the chest" because it doesn't fucking talk about the chest!!!

and the teacher goes "oh, come on girls!!! blah blah blah" and then the second girl (not the one with the tank top) said "but you're saying that just because she has big breasts" and, of course, the teacher goes "oh no. no no no. that's absolutely. not. that!" and the girl with the tank top said something like "yes it is, if it was [second girl's name] (who doesn’t have big boobs) you wouldn't have said anything" which is true ngl

and at some point, the teacher says "but you're disprespecting yourself!" ...sis. she's dressing like that because she likes it and is comfortable with it. could you not sexualize her??? AND she goes "do you see boys dressing up like that to attract?" LIKE SHE REALLY SAID TO ATTRACT. WTF??

and obviously the two girls get mad (i wish i wasnt socially anxious and i could just. yell at her probably) and say things like "tf it's not to attract" because indeed, it's not

and anyway it stopped here, the teacher asked the girl to keep her jacket and close it

I have a feeling this question is going to be a mess, and I apologize for the rambling. :( No kidding, I can see that I will be relying on re-reading Jealous Neteyam (and other chapters) for the foreseeable future to stay alive. It's nice to see that they're already feeling so familiar and comfortable with each other by the end of the book (Kxolo's reaction to Neteyam being such a bold PDA made me laugh so hard. Like, he doesn't actually want to stop his Omega, but at the same time, this man obviously wants some privacy lol) It's rare to see Kxolo in a "controlled" position, and it's very cute to see Neteyam feeling so unsure about it! And OMG, I knew this was going to happen someday but they MADE the bond!!!! I would probably walk out of my apartment and run screaming down the street for this! I loved every word of this chapter, but it also left a lot of mysteries. When kxolo was talking to neyra, did he notice the two people peeking behind him? And when did Kxolo start noticing Neteyam showing jealousy? And of course, what happened at the morning meeting...Are they in "silent treatment" with each other? (Wait what am I talking about, they're very sweet.) God, I'm dying to know everything about them...Honestly, I think it's getting a little creepy. Lastly, make a friend who will do anything to beat someone to the ground for you. Take care of your rest. I hope you're doing well in college. :))

I'm so glad you enjoyed the little jealous Neteyam drabble. Although it took me forever to finalize, I had a fun time writing it and it means a lot to know that there is a group of people that really care about this little story I started almost a year ago<3

Writing Neteyam in a "dominate" position was so fun to me since I can only imagine the poor boy just never had any practice with it. Kxolo found seeing his nervous little omega take the reigns not only incredibly sexy but also so endearing. Since this drabble is set in the future this is not the first time they make the bond but it was really fun to write. As Olo'eyktan Kxolo feels it isn't technically appropriate to make tsaheylu at a public dinner but at the same time he had too much fun watching Neteyam show off his claim. By the end of dinner Kxolo was grinning like a mad man, completely arrogant and proud of the boy's jealous behavior. The Olo'eyktan forever treasures moments like this where he gets to see how far they have come, his little omega so desperate to make sure Kxolo never slips between his fingers.

As far as watching him and Neyra, they were in a fairly public setting so he knew that Neteyam and Vamai could've been nearby but it wasn't until Neteyam's little display and glaring across the fire that he put two and two together.

At the morning meeting, Neteyam just so happened to be getting impatient with the long meeting and made some bratty remarks in front of the whole war party. He was reprimanded but Neteyam also learned how far his sweet little looks and soft touches could get him.

Yes I did thanks to you (this ask was likely sent before) And i'm glad for the ask anyway because my god this pisses me off. Are most of the shows involved ones I really cared about? No. I mean I would've watched an alien muppet talk show had I known it existed and it got better promotion, and I wanted to watch timmy failure as the series it's based on was created by Stephan Pastis of Pearls Before Swine Fame but most of it is just.. kinda there. The exception is the criminally underated sitcom dollface featuring both Kat Dennings and Brenda Song But just because most of it is the disney+ series that either didn't quite take off or simply kinda faded... NONE OF IT deserves to be tossed into the void to save money on server room disney can fucking afford. If their going to do what Warner did with SOME of it's conetent and sell it off.. that's fine. Honestly most of this would probably be better off sold to say Tubi for free or amazon prime where it's sale would give it free press. But if their going to do what warner did and try to write it off i'ts disgusting as shit and disprespectful to all the hard work that went into these shows. Even shows that were made mostly to boister a streaming lineup.. still had hard working crews who put their all into it. If anyone reading this has had the gall to wonder "Why writers are striking" shit like this is a reason and something the WGA needs to make sure can't happen nearly as easily (Ideally at all but I know that's a tall ask), in the future.

already dreading the narrative lando is going to be saddled with on the upcoming dts. they will 100% go with the "lando crumbling under pressure from the wonder rookie" narrative using his mistake qatar quali as the main rope to hang him with, ignoring that he was actually faster that weekend just messed up qualifying and that he scored double oscar's points over the season, was the second highest scorer behind max after the mclaren upgrades and would have likely been fighting for 2nd in the wdc if mclaren had had that car from the start of the season, judging his performances once the upgrades came.

that's no disprespect to oscar who did have a fantastic year for a rookie and who i really like but dts love to paint lando as a villian in recent years now max isn't fulfilling the role for them and they'll probably use him berating himself for his mistakes to try and make out there is huge tension building in mclaren and making out oscar is on the verge of becoming the no 1 driver, probably aided by some cut up and handily out of context quotes from zak and stella about how amazing oscar is and how lando is struggling. add to that the fact that the media had two prepared narratives for oscar last season, either "overrated failure" or "wonder rookie who is going to usurp norris", no in between, and they ran with the latter even though lando pretty squarely beat him, and you can see what this year's hatchet job on lando will be from a mile off. i already hate them (dts) for it and the ensuing pile on lando it's gonna cause on social media and it's not even confirmed yet, bc you just know it's gonna happen.

george will also get a kind of evil villain narrative this coming season bc they'll chop his radio and take it out of context plus the whole thing with max in baku.

carlos i'm not sure on. i'm 100% sure we're going to get a il predestinato pity party but it's hard for them to shit on carlos this year when he won singapore. however i can entirely see them doing a pity party for charles until singapore and then he rises again at carlos's expense narrative.

daniel's "downtrodden hero fighting agains the odds in F1" this year will be how he is bouncing back after having left evil mclaren, including horner's digs about how they had to untrain bad habits and how thin he had gotten the year before, and how he's on a path to checo's seat only for him to break his hand. probably followed by his "heroic" comeback in mexico.

there will also be an entire episode shitting on checo and probably one comparing alex and logan's season but ignoring the fact that logan was driving a car without the upgrades from japan onward.

I don't actually agree with you about the severity that they'll make Lando look bad. I personally don't think they've made him out to be a villain over the years. They tried a little bit during the first year with Daniel, but I don't think they ever made anything look that bad. More so of him doubting himself but ultimately feeling good about his performances. Even the tiny rivalry they tried with Carlos was absolved the following season. Considering they have never lingered or used his missteps on track to paint him as a failure, I doubt they'll go all-in on it now. They had the narrative of Daniel crushing Lando in the palms of their hands at the start of 2021, and when it didn't pan out, they didn't keep trying to push it, even after Monza. I can see them doing a brief little thing about Qatar for Oscar's win, but nothing that makes his entire arc something horrible and untrue.

They've also never been overly negative about Carlos. I would argue he's one of dts' mains, so he'll probably be good. They may focus on his tensions within the team, but that's all.

Part of me wouldn't be surprised if they ignored Williams again, but I'm sure there will be comparisons between Logan and Alex if they do get talked about, like I mentioned in the other ask. On one hand, the comparisons are worthwhile, but on the other, it's important to acknowledge that Logan wasn't ready for the step up. They won't mention that though because there's no easy way to explain the entire way Latifi, Jost Capito, and James Vowles played out. So idk, we'll see.

#my expectations for dts are as on the floor as anyone else's but i do look forward to the show and i do watch it #so i don't think i have *quite* the same doom and gloom as some people because there is precedent for how they do things #sorry if this isn't what you were looking for #ask #dts
